    The Lifeless Sparrow

    I was walking along and saw a trash pile - huge trash pile - before me. I stared at this heap and noticed something moving within the pile. I moved some of the trash and found a little bird. He was brown and small. I took him to be a sparrow. The poor thing was not breathing and I felt so saddened by it. I tried to breath (yeah, I know mouth to mouth with a bird, what's wrong with me?) life into the bird but he wouldn't take a breath.

    I began to cry and it about broke my heart ...

    When all of a sudden the bird fluttered to life and took to the sky.

    That's all I remember...

    (In real life, I've encountered many birds. Several hummingbirds have been trapped in our garage and I've rescued them. I took in a baby bird and failed to see it to adulthood. It died after a few short days. We have many bluebird houses around our spacious yard thanks to my husband. But birds are always around.)

      Wow that is a great dream GoldenLight.

      It is an amazing thing that you practice healing powers like that automatically in your dream.
      Latent powers perhaps?
      I think it is a dream of hope, or of great creativity and inspiration.

      That's very kind, RobStar. I tried for a while to use Reiki. Do you know of it? But I did not follow their exact method. I used my own, I guess. I have no idea what this dream meant, but the dream was so sad at first. I have had a lot of dreams about birds over the years.

      I don't know too much about reiki, except that you can use the divine energy for healing, etc.
      I will have to read up.
      Have you tried any healing or reiki exercises in any of your LD's?

      GoldenLight, I think that you're rediscovering your "ability to fly" in the huge heap of nonsense in your waking life. I tried to write a long interpretation, but I think that it might serve you better.

      Wow Goldenlight, what a very touching dream. I do dream of birds often myself. And from what i understand is..birds,often speak from our higher selves. They are our higher thoughts in our dreams connecting with the universe, flying out of our familiar nest, and venturing out into the world learning new things. I hope that was of great interpretation for you Goldenlight.

      Nice! My mom found a little sparrow almost lifeless, on the street, about a week ago. She brought him to me and I've been taking care of him. I did some reiki, he started to eat, drink and has been slowly recovering from an injury on its righ wing and today he started to fly! Now I can't let him go without first teaching him to hunt bugs - how in the world am I going to do that?
