I remember doing something or the other, and then remembering this video game I have.
It's kind of like Grand Theft Auto, but I thought it was much better.
I transition to playing the game
(the screen of the game taking up my whole field of view of course).
I start to just drive around, it's nighttime and I'm in a black SUV.
I was getting kind of bored though, I remember that I wanted to get rich since there was so much things you could do in this game if you had a lot of money,
but there were just no quick easy ways of doing it.
So I decided to just play whatever mission I was doing last.
I start the mission and immediately remember why I stopped doing them in the first place.
In this mission you're supposed to drive a 16 wheeler filled with gasoline to a certain destination.
The problem is on the way there there are a lot of turns you have to make while going at high speeds, there are even walls in your way, and the whole time you're getting chased by cops and stuff.
I decide I'll do it anyway since I have nothing else better to do.
In the beginning you have to smash your way through the doors of a garage, which is difficult because if you're not careful your truck will explode.
I get out on my first try and head off.
The last time I played I went way too fast in the beginning trying to outrun the enemies and then crashed into a wall, so this time I tried to take it easy a little.
I notice something, there aren't any enemies behind me. A glitch maybe?
I decide to count my blessings and move on.
I come to one of the turns, it's still difficult with the size of the truck and lack of maneuverability but I manage.
I continue on making sure to go at a steady pace, and eventually I make it to a grassy clearing.
I continue on going in between various trees.
My passenger makes a comment about not liking going through them.

"I hate paths through trees, paths through trees suck!"

He takes out a little business card.
On it it says "John[case sensitive][email protected].

"Email me here to send me any pictures of paths through trees you have."

I think to myself, "Is [case sensitive] a part of his email address or is he just saying that it's case sensitive?"
(When I probably should have been asking "Who the fuck are you talking to?")
    Were almost at our destination...
when I transition to my grandma's apartment. My dad's there too.
My grandma is telling me that I'm really athletic, specifically more athletic than a brazilian soccer player.
I tell her that this is simply untrue.
Whilst we argue about my athletic prowess I can here my grandpa calling me to his bedroom.
I go to him. I'm beside his bed, he has a breather hooked up to him, he doesn't look like he has very long.

"You know, I was thinking about my son, about how this may be the last time I ever get to see him. But the farther I seem to get from him, the closer I get to all my other family members who are no longer here."

This is what he says to me as I sit there.
Whilst pondering his sage like epiphany the dream destabilizes and
    I wake up.

My grandpa is well, dead, and this isn't the first time he's been in my dreams since his passing.
The last time I was, again, by him at his death bed.
However, I never went to his death bed in waking life.
It was too emotionally painful and I didn't want to see one of my family members die as it would tear me up inside.
Perhaps I have dreams about being at his death bed because I secretly wanted to be there?
    Perhaps...
