    1. The Lucid Dream War

by , 09-16-2022 at 10:19 PM (Lucid Time!)
This is from awhile ago. Probably sometime in late august of this year. I only remembered it because of the dream journal autosave function.

I was at the grocery store; my old workplace from 2018ish. I had just clocked off a shift when I was approached by a group of shady-looking people in a black pickup truck. They were a high profile drug cartel and had asked me to be a drug mule for them in exchange for a briefcase full of cash. I had completed the mission, delivered the drugs to the recipient and was about to get paid. They slammed the briefcase shut, and their leader explained they planned to turn me into the cops. Basically explaining how I was an idiot to think they would pay me, and that they intended to turn me over to the police for being a part of their operation, to throw them off the trail since I didnt have any connections to their group.

Nonlucid brain of course freaks out (instead of realizing that guy was probably screwing himself because I knew what his gang looked like, what car they drove, and where I had picked up the drugs from and who I had given them to, and that they had no evidence against me.) I start screaming and jumping up and down like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

Then Manei pulls up in an old rusty red pickup truck and I completely forget about that plotline. She's really upset, borderline crying and I ask her to explain wny. She tells me to look in the back of the truck so I do. Its about 20 black cats, including one litter of kittens. She's super worked up because black cats are seen as tokens of bad luck and nobody wants to adopt them so she had to rescue them herself.

I am involved in some sort of lucid dream war. The full story eludes me but I am in an OTD area that is mostly farm fields and forests, and I am partially lucid. Most of the combatants in the group are fairly typical soldiers with modern gear and standard rifles and stuff; a couple of tanks and other armored vehicles. But there are more exotic combatants rolled in there. One guy is a pyromancer or firebender of some sort wearing some kind of robe or gown. A few of the soldiers are wearing camo-painted powered armor and using more futuristic weapons. The leader of this group is like a big leopard in a power suit with a humanoid body weilding a plasma battleaxe.

We are fighting against hordes of black and gray zombies with glowing red eyes. They come out of the field which is some kind of burial ground like zombies and we are gunning them down before they can get close. Then a big three-headed dragon comes out, its stature and body structure reminding me of king ghidorah. One of the armored vehicles fires a volley of missiles and the dragon roars but doesn't seem to have taken any significant injury. It lunges at our formation, biting down on soldiers who are firing on it in futility. Its centermost head lets out a roar which carries with it an aura of terror. I feel this 'aura' of fear somewhat but resist the urge to run away. Most of the force scrambles away.

The leopard man isn't phased. He jumps onto the dragon's head and holds onto one of its horns. Then begins one-handedly chopping at its neck. He actually manages to get off one of its three heads before the dragon grabs his arm in its mouth and shakes him around before throwing him across the field into a tree. His arm had torn off and the dragon ate it. Leopard man prepares to make a last stand. I summon my amethyst bow and kill the giant dragon by shooting an arrow into each of its two remaining heads. It then begins burning away in a manner very reminiscent of how a dragon would die in Skyrim and I absorb some power from it. I go help the leopard warrior get up despite him being battered and bloody and missing one arm. When I do I get a feeling from him. That he is an exceedingly proud warrior that refuses to quit fighting until he either dies or wins. I wanted to tell him he did a good job and that he should go find a medical camp, but knew he wouldn't listen no matter how I tried to convince him.

The remainder of our battered group continues to advance. We get into this grassy field surrounded by a wooden fence with this old abandoned farmhouse and fog closes in. There is a bit of a creepy atmosphere. Then this bug Sauron looking guy comes out with a giant sword and shield. Raiah (yes my original character) says "I've got something special for this freak" and shoots a matter disintegrator bolt from her robot arm. He blocks with his shield though it does make the shield glow red and orange where it hits. I tell everyone to stand back and let me handle this.

I use my upgraded form. I'm very familiar with it now and I notice that. "I must have gotten used to it in dreams I don't remember anymore." I say to myself before I roar at him and then charge. There wasn't any real martial arts or strategy. I just rushed him and grabbed his hand holding the sword to prevent him from using it. We wrestle for a bit, as we twist and torque one another in various ways we get pushed through the farmhouse destroying the middle section leaving just the front and back wall and a little section of roof. His armor is covered with spikes and blades and its difficult to wrestle him without something poking or cutting me. Wrestling him is exhausting. Eventually I get him pinned and manage to pull his helmet off. He is just an old bully from junior high. I then grab him by the neck and pull him out of the armor, but do so in a way that doesn't injure or discomfort him. His body is normal sized and doesn't even fill a portion of the armor's torso, and all the armor breaks away when I remove him.

      Last night:

I went to bed meditating on the idea that I seem to have developed a rather adversarial relationship with myself, and that since very early in my lucid dreaming career I have struggled with dream characters being directly and openly opposed to me being lucid. I think this epiphany was at least partially motivated by the "lucid dream war" being the crescendo of a very long lineage of dreams about fighting hostile dream characters. I have also struggled with myself reacting violently against dream characters when it is unwarranted. I resolved that it may be a roadblock that is keeping me from having more frequent and more enjoyable lucid dreams, and that I wanted to remedy this.

I was walking in a park. The park is on a big sloping hill overlooking a beach with neatly mowed grass and trees surrounding it on three sides. There is a large parking lot near the top of the open grass area with cars parked in it and a small modern/futuristic cafe style building made out of glass, curved steel tubes and suspension wires that sort of hangs out over the slope. It kind of reminds me of half of a suspension bridge sticking out over the steeply sloping park with two levels of decks with chairs and dream characters sitting on them eating and talking. There is also a black paved walking trail that snakes back and fourth heading down towards the beach.

I am walking along the black walking path thinking about how I should not be here, that it is a long way to get back to work. I then question where I am and become lucid. A family approaches me. Two children and two adults. They feel familiar and inform me that they have missed me and want to know when I might be able to come over and see them. Though there is an unspoken subtext that this implies they want to meet me in lucid dreams again. I respond with something to the effect of "I'll come see you soon" which similarly has an unspoken subtext that I have been seriously considering getting back on the lucid dreaming wagon. I acknowledge that I am accomplishing my goal of having positive interactions with dream characters.

Another dream character comes along with several dogs on leashes. They all look like labradors in various colors and are all quite large. As the dream character walks by the dream scene shifts. I am underneath a stairwell in a basement somewhere; the walls are plywood and 2x4 studs, with all of the dogs but not the dream character. There is very little free space and the dogs become agitated. I try to convince myself that they are just excited to see me and not aggressive, though I didn't thoroughly convince myself.

I am then back in the park scene, now on the inside portion of the cafe. I am holding a black and white cat with long fur, holding it on its back with belly and paws up. The cat is agitated and aggressive. It is hissing at me and trying to claw me and so I try to hold it in a different position. I try to put it down. None of these options work. My arms are not responding. Despite still being at least partially lucid I am now only an observer with no ability to act or speak.

The cat is still aggressive and hissing. But now it is breathing heavily and makes a sort of loud irritating squeaking/wheezing sound when it does. Each time it breathes in its eyes and paw pads, which are jet black, swell up slightly then shrink. But each time the cat breathes in they swell a little bigger and don't shrink quite as much. There is a fearful sort of tension, as though this sounds absurd, in the context of the dream it was a rather disturbing and grotesque phenomenon. I try to channel positive energy into the cat, sensing that it is suffering. I try to break free of the situation and just do anything on my own volition, but I'm now only a lucid observer. A dream character starts laughing at me. I pull my rip cord and tell myself that this is becoming a nightmare, and I want to wake up.

Too late. The cat's eyes and pawpads pop, splattering me and the surrounding dream characters with black tar. Everyone starts running and screaming. The black tar burns my skin and I am filled with a horrible terror as gooey sort of spider-like parasites crawl out of its eyes. I finally finish awakening and the dream fades out, though with the emotional intensity I probably would have woken up anyway.

    2. The Babysitter

I was watching Danny Phantom. I noticed that Danny looked somewhat more muscular than the usual art style.

      -+-

I was building sand castles and explaining a battle strategy to someone while talking about the 'Art of War'. Manei's father came over and he was telling me how he built their whole home island in Minecraft and wanted to use it to plan a defensive wall around the bay that if ships came into the bay they would run aground on sharp rocks and wreck.

I was on my college campus, only, as usual, it was truncated in some strange way where. There was a section of campus that was a former radioactive wasteland, with skyscrapers overgrown with vines and trees and the likes. Though it wasn't radioactive anymore because the radiation was from a very long time ago. There was also a tram system running around the college that had a stop in the abandoned city because my college planned to reclaim the land eventually and build dorms and classrooms there.

But until then my professor had to teach there. He was talking about how he wanted us to do a photography project of the abandoned section of campus. I then got back on the tram but it overlapped with being on more of a school bus. I had a discussion with some dream characters and one of them said that there was a rumor going around that this girl that I barley had said she was both my girlfriend and my sister, and it all started because my math professor shipped us. I didn't want the rumor to spread so I lied and said that I was homosexual.

Then the tram stopped and I had trouble getting all of my stuff back into my backpack. I wondered why the tram hadn't closed and gone to the next stop. I then saw that it was my professor that was driving the tram for me. I thanked him for holding the tram at the stop and told him I was sorry for being clumsy and disorganized with my possessions. He smiled and said to be more organized next time.

I got into my car and drove home. Just about as soon as I get home there is a knock on the door. I then 'remember' that I agreed to babysit some woman's child for the evening and that she would pay me (either $20 or $50, I cannot remember). I wanted to ask her some basic questions like allergies or her phone number but she was in a real hurry and just left. Her child was a chubby boy of maybe about five or six, with short blonde hair.

I will save the details but the boy's behavior turned out to be very inappropriate for someone of his age. I wanted to call his mother but didn't have her number. I told him to go sit in the corner for a time-out but he made a face at me. I then saw him in the kitchen, in nothing but his underwear pulling all of the knives out of the block and laying them out on the floor while eating cookies. I drew the line and said that he was coming with me. I picked him up and he started crying, then bit me on the arm and I let him go.

He ran to the counter and pulled my laptop computer off the counter by the headphone jack. I went over and looked at my now nonfunctional laptop and recognized it as a dream sign, and became
lucid. I looked back up to the kid.

"This is an anxiety dream, and you are just a part of myself. You will now stop. I will now stop."

"You're not the boss of me."

The child began to transform. His head grew about ten times in size and his body expanded and stretched with a large round belly that reminded me of that of a pregnant woman forming. This new form of his a strange cross of absolutely hilarious and utterly terrifying.

"You are becoming a nightmare. What do you represent?"

I get no reply. I thought of the usual self-imposed rules I put upon myself for dealing with nightmares. If they represent something then I have to accept that thing and befriend them. If they do not represent something, or refuse to tell me their origin, then they exist without meaning in the dreamworld and can be defeated. This nightmare's presence doesn't make sense. I've long since gotten over my anxieties about working with children. His persistent presence is simply frustrating to me.

He starts walking towards me with a toddler-like wobble and a grin of excitement on his distorted face. I just start to think about how everything about this character is unlikeable. He's a brat from the moment he walks in and he's chosen such an awkward and disturbing form once he realizes there might be combat.

I strike him with my hands in a pushing motion. As I swing my hands foreward I notice sparks of electricity linking my hands in a small arc. At this point I'm still reluctant to seriously injure him at the thought of what his mother might think of me when she returns. (Guess I was not fully lucid...) But the monster barely registers the strike. He bends over and attempts to bite me again, where he now has teeth like the titans from Attack on Titan, way too many giant teeth in a wide grin. I figure thats what the dream was probably inspired by. I rocket backwards, clumsily colliding with and destroying the front door of my house, and sliding across a cold, muddy front yard.

Outside I see that I am in a twisted, nightmarish version of my town. Fires, lava, screaming victims, corpses and giant ash-black figures resembling the child but with more proportionate heads wobbling around, being the harbingers of the torment brought upon this world. One detail I remember in particular was the sky was stormy, but the clouds parted in the eye of the storm and the face of a colossal snow-white being with six eyes stared down on me. Even lucid, I could feel the fear emanating from that face and didn't want to continue looking at it.

I turned my attention back to the child monster, whos neck stretched and he made another attempt to bite at me. I wasn't holding back anymore. I kicked him in the jaw with enough force to create a shockwave and saw in slow motion from third person as the kick caused the monster to bite off its own tongue. The monster went flying upwards, and I rocketed into the air after it, unleashing a hail of fire missiles straight up, each blast propelling it higher into the air. I saw the monster clear the explosion, we were nearly at cloud level, closer to the fear-emanating six eyed face, who was now watching the battle through its window in the clouds. I saw the child monster and that my attack had no effect. The monster's stomach opened top-to-bottom and its intestines shot out like tentacles and wrapped around me. The entrails had a disturbing amount of detail, being covered in slime and blue veins.

I created a transparent bubble shield that repulsed my trappings. I then targeted his open stomach, interpreting it as a weakness. I created a spinning fireball with a point and shot it into the open stomach. It caused the monster to rocket back down towards my high school. It was screaming in pain but quickly recovered. I flew down after it and we were now low above the main street of my town. There were cars but they looked very punk, decorated with skulls and spikes. I flew very low over the pavement, that resembled molten magma, at one point flying underneath the car and re-emerging to see the monster hovering above center of town.

I at this point recognized that because this monsters 'home turf' was a firey hellscape, perhaps fire wasn't hurting it.

"Mea Impedius" was the voice command I had prepared to summon my weapon schema, should I ever need it. I heard a humming sound as a a long bronze staff manifested. I looked at it and saw small mechanisms of gears and levers moving. The dream changed completely the moment that I did and I saw Marcus, and we were sitting in his living room. He explained that my weapon schema could become multiple weapons and I simply had to command it to do what I wanted. I looked at the staff and thought that I wanted a ranged weapon and it bent. Two halves of a string connected from either end and it became a bow.

I was back in the original dream. I pulled back the bow and an arrow appeared. I fired at the monster and the arrow, in flight became a huge spear and impaled it through the body. The monster shrieked in pain and I knew I was hurting it now, but it pulled the arrow out and recovered from the wound. I flew backwards down the road as the monster charged at me. It was now wearing a crown made of holly, like a christmas wreath. (At first I thought it was a crown of thorns.) I kept firing arrows into it but they seemed to just be absorbed into its flesh. But then I got an X-ray visual of all the arrows inside of it were still there and they were weakening the monster because they had amethyst tips that emitted an energy that somehow weakened the monster.

I then willed the bow into a spear (with a very large amethyst tip) and threw it at the monsters head. It too got absorbed.

The monster became desperate and in too much pain, and vomited the grim reaper for lack of a better term. A skeletal body connected to the back of the monsters throat by a hundred spinal vertebrae shot fourth weilding a scythe. I couldn't remember the command I had planned for a dreamcatcher shield. Instead I just yelled "Shield, NOW!" and small metal leaflets arranged themselves into a silver Shield." However when the reaper came down onto me the shield broke and I got knocked backwards.

      "NO! Dreamcatcher Shield!"

This time I was successful, a blue web of light appeared in front of me. The reaper's scythe came down on the glowing ward, getting caught right in the central eye. The scythe and grim reaper exploded off the shield that created a gonglike sound that shook the entire dreamworld. When it had stopped I heard a low, deep moan that I could feel through my old body. I looked up to see the six eyed face (that now only had four eyes, and looked more human) retreat up the hole in the storm. Rain began to fall and extinguish the fires and turn the magma into obsidian.

I woke up, but did a DEILD almost immediately. I think I saw my alarm clock for a few seconds and it was 4:43am.

The dream went back to the front room of my house where the whole thing had began. I was somehow still fighting the child monster but it was greatly weakened and had a smaller sized head (still disproportionate, though). It had its arm around my neck and I was struggling to get away. Apparently it had some kind of regenerative that allowed it to partially regenerate after all nightmares had already been banished.

I manifested a crossbow on my left wrist and said that the crossbow bolt would negate its regeneration. I saw two tiny green ghosts go around the bolt and the shaft glowed green. I fired it and the monster melted into a puddle of black and red goo and a 'baby alive' doll.

Marcus came in through the front door of my house. I asked him why the nightmare was so hard to kill and he said that it was a homunculus baby that somebody had released from a medieval painting that was haunted. He created an android that tricked the monster into coming over to my house and figured I could do all the 'dirty work' for him. I felt a little used not being informed ahead of time but I've been doing Marcus' dirty work since we met. He promised that next time he had a job for me like this he would keep me better informed, but that this had been on short notice because it was such a big threat.

I asked him why Manei had left my dreams and he showed me a comic panel that looked like my drawing style of her sitting on the couch eating ice cream out of the container and watching tv.

The dream faded into a nonlucid that I don't recall.

    3. Wave (#290)

by , 05-01-2016 at 05:20 PM (Lucid Time!)

The dream started off with some star wars related stuff. I don't remember the story exactly but it seemed to be an alternate version of episode III. The major difference was that Anikin and Padme already had a kid. (Just one, not twins). Obi-Wan had uncovered Anikin's affair and they were fighting. The kid was scared by the adults arguing and ran away.

The environment they were in was close to that city planet. Only there was a harbor/bay with an ocean in it. The Padme character said something about how everything good in their life might as well be in the bottom of that ocean. And they continued fighting.

I materialized on the ocean. It was overflowing into the city. Supposedly the ocean was acidic due to pollution and it caused people to dissolve when the ocean began overflowing. Dream showed some rather disturbing imagery of that. I was standing on the surface and became
lucid. I saw a big wave coming. Everything else started to go black, save for the water, despite the fact that it had been twilight a few moments ago.

I saw the tsunami coming. I actually almost willed it into the dream. It was about average height for a tsunami dream. (Maybe 30 feet) I've had them as small as 8-10 feet and as high as a hundred or more.

"Stop, you've plagued my dreams with fear long enough. What do you represent?"

(Yes, I was expecting the wave to respond. But it didn't. It just kept coming towards me.)

"Very well, if you don't represent any real fear of mine, then I should be able to do this."

I stepped back into a fighting stance. The wave was almost upon me. I did like a karate chopping motion and split the wave to either side. The wave stopped. The entire wave began splitting down either side and quite literally exploding into a cloud of mist. The whole dream was filled with falling water, like rain from the huge wave exploding. Since it was supposed to be acidic I was worried, but I didn't allow it to hurt me.

I was half expecting another wave to come that would be much bigger than the first. That's what happened last time I tried to confront this nightmare. But no second bigger tsunami came. I even tried to imagine what it would look like, encourage it. The giant wave from the planet in Interstellar came to mind. Just so I could show that wave who was boss once and for all. Nothing else happened and I lost the dream and woke up.

    4. Spell's Comp Day 5: Well, I tried to summon help...

by , 04-15-2016 at 02:33 PM (Lucid Time!)
I remember a dream about being on my college campus. I remember hardly anything about it save for the fact that I was in the cafeteria eating the baked chicken that they served there occasionally. (My favorite meal from that cafeteria, even though I rarely went there.)

All that I remember past that was that I was walking somewhere from the cafeteria. became lucid because it was
Friday and I realized I didn't have to be on campus today, so I must be dreaming. but I Layer 1'd almost immediately...

      -WBTB-

A dream about me and my Dream-Dad. We were playing a game together. MMF! WATH? DREAM DAD IS COOPERATIVE? [RC's] Anyways, we are each play as one of these Mechs. They look like the cougars from Mechwarrior. We have three weapons. Machine Gun, Rockets and Sniper cannon. We head out and encounter the bad guys. There are three of them piloting heavy slow mechs.

We hide behind some rocks and shoot them. They are so slow that they can't hit us. We beat them. I remember thinking something about there being no weapons in the game with splash damage and how we might use that to our benefit.

The same three players kept coming after us in different mechs. Flying Mechs. Tanks. Etc. We would always beat them, but we were running out of ammo. We went back to our base. (That was underneath this big energy shield dome, and got ammo crates.) The bad guys came back. One of them was piloting a dropship and the other two were in mechs. One mech was big and heavy. (Mad Cat) and the other was very small and ran very fast. Now that the bad guys were mixing up their strategy, we were having a harder time fighting them.

      I woke up.

      -WBTB-

I remember I was walking in town. I saw a Jeep-like car come over the hill and roll sideways. It skidded on its side down the road, leaking gasoline out of the exhaust pipes. I thought there would be an explosion.

I then saw a bus in the parking lot of the Wendy's that was on fire. I heard the people inside screaming and pushing on the glass. Someone asked why nobody could get the door open. I ran to help everyone but the door opened as I got close and everyone got out of the smoky bus. I saw a couple of cops ride into town on a motorcycle. One of them pulled out a gun and shot into the air to restore order.

I realized that the whole downtown area was falling into chaos. There was what looked like a riot going on and people were rolling over cars and buildings were on fire. I decided I would run to somewhere safe, so I turned and ran in the direction of my old school.

"This is a Nightmare, I thought to myself. A Nightmare... wait.
      [Nose Pinches]." Yeah.

I remember the dream had lost a lot of stability because I had been stressed and scared by the disaster scenes in town.
I DEILDed and came back into the dream where I was living in my apartment. Apparently in dream, I had my own apartment in town now. (Though it was in the place of a house.)

The entire room was a bathtub, toilet, sink and a small bed, with a tiled floor. I for some reason shouted 'This is my Dream Base! I will return here in every dream and become lucid!' I then decided that it was a dream, and I could make the room bigger. So I took a deep breath and began doing a pushing motion. The room was big enough that I couldn't touch the walls, but I was trying to... psychically push them farther apart. And it worked.

I then decided I would summon Manei. So I looked at the door, and did my good old fashioned 'Manei, Kuansen Axio Sosubmle" command. I heard a knock on the door and opened it. Apparently she was still manifesting in because she was just a floating head at first, but after a few seconds her whole body had manifested in from a hazy white light. I remember when she finished a little purple (+10) appeared. I guess that was in reference to the competition since I've been putting all my scores in purple.

She was awkwardly trying to move all of this stuff. (Like carrying a backpack, two purses and a couple huge suitcases.) I guess she was moving in with me...

I wanted to hurry past this part so we could get to the important stuff we had going on tonight. Especially since she kept stumbling on stuff that had been left in the hallway by other people. I started making stuff disappear right before my eyes to make it easier for her to move everything. I was reluctant that I would delete something of hers, so I asked before removing each object. Most of them were just bags of trash in the hall. I would level my open hand at them and think it, and they'd disappear with a humorous pop sound.

At some point there was also an annoying issue with finding her invisible coin purse on the floor of the hallway.

After that, she went away for a bit while I took note that the room had a closet and a larger bathtub now. When she came back, she was pushing a king sized bed down the hallway. (Well, I guess I know what's on HER mind, because we both know that we're already asleep, and we don't need a bed.)

She asked me to help her get it into the room. The tight hallway we were in made this a crappy physics puzzle. She must be much stronger than me because I tried to move that king sized bed and it wouldn't budge. So I wound up figuring that I could transport the giant bed into the room by teleporting it into higher dimensional space. I did. It also disappeared instantly with a 'pop' sound. I went into the room to see that it had already re-appeared and I thought to myself that it must have put the old small bed into hyperspace.

(Weird how my physical strength in dreams is only moderate, while I still possess the ability to telekinetically move or teleport massive objects.)

Anyways, after that she wandered off. Somehow or other we were in my house now, and the apartment we had created was where my room was. I just remembered that she was talking on her cell phone and I jumped over her, did a flip and landed in front of her. She hung up.

      "Sorry, am I a little too-in-your face?"
"Yeah- I thought you didn't want to see me. I messed up. I taught you the wrong command and I tried to make you grow up too fast. I thought you didn't like me anymore because I wasn't perfect."
"Psh, Think of all the times I messed up in front of you and did something dumb. I just wanted to make sure that wasn't gonna become the norm. We gotta keep each other in line, you know."
"She said some reply in gibberish and I noticed she was crying a little."
"Really, you gotta cry about this? I said I forgive you. You can be such a big baby sometimes..."

I remembered commenting that she wasn't her usual cheerful self and that it was because I had been sick in waking life, so she had been rather sick in the dream world and was still getting over it. Apparently sickness in waking life=depressed dream guide. Not sure how that works. I also remember through the whole dream she was wearing this gray beanie hat with a little blue knitted flower on the side. It was kind of cute but also conveyed her dismal state quite well.

"So I'm a little twitchy because I'm in the LDing competition right now."
"Really, I don't like lucid dreaming competitions." (She said it really clearly to make sure I knew what she felt.)
"I wasn't sure if I would like them either, but I decided to have an open mind. That Reminds me. I have to do... elemental bending for it. That was the reason I wanted to see you. You taught me water way back when..."
"Things that you want to know that you don't even know how to know. Well I have to go now the dream is gonna end."

She then proceeded to take out an umbrella and open it over her head. She disappeared using some trickery, leaving behind only a cat. I remember the cat meowed and the inside of its mouth was yellow. I tried to ignore the fact that she said the dream was gonna end, hoping there was still more lucid to come.

"I sighed. Well I guess I'm on my own... Tesseract to-"

      Nuts.

Dream Fragment (+0.5) College dream counts as fragment since barley remembered.
NLD (x2=2) Im counting the Mech dream as well as the burning bus dream.
      WBTB (x2 =2)
      DILD (x2 = 15)
      Reality Check (x1 = 1)
Chain LD (x1 =2) (Successful this time, from a layer 1 though, still lucid-awake-lucid.)
Unspecified Dream Control (x1 =5) Making the room bigger.
Basic Summoning: (x1 Dream Guide = 5+5) Manei is not a real person. Think that counts for 10.
Interact with DC (lots of DG interaction.) 2
      Basic Un-summoning: (x5ish trash bags, one at a time = 5)
Don't know how to count the teleportation of the king sized bed from hallway to room. Spell can decide.

      Total: 44.5

Weird, I still got a lot of points for helping Manei move her crap into my room.
    5. When the monsters are scared, Stop making me a character on a TV show!

by , 09-08-2015 at 11:46 PM (Lucid Time!)
I was on a beach at night. Lucid now. I remember feeling like I was on a rather small island. There was a strange dim light emitting from all around me. I didn't really take notice of that. I remember I felt a menacing presence, like some kind of monster was coming to torment/attack me.

I saw two rabbits come out of the woods. One of them was considerably smaller than the other. It had light brownish fur. There were patches of fur missing and what looked like burns. The larger rabbit was spotted and had its ears clipped clean off and was bleeding from them.

I then swiped my hands across the two rabbits trying to heal them. It didn't work completely. The burns on the small rabbit looked smaller and less severe. The larger rabbit had one of his ears back. It was then that a wite cat came hobbling out of the rainforest. Also injured, it was missing its leg. I then did the same thing to the cat and gave it back its leg. I felt that the monster was getting closer. I could tell the animals were on edge.

I saw the monster emerge from the woods. It had yellow eyes and a sort of horse head, with a mouth that hung open and sharp teeth. I think something on its shoulders was on fire. It had a sort of centaur build, with a humanoid body becoming that of a horse.

I could feel its negative presence was very strong. It was somehow able to re-injure the animals just by emitting some kind of wave of negative energy. I felt the wave too, but it was too weak to affect me. I could also tell that the monster wasn't particularly interested in scaring/hurting me, though it's presence was still frightening. It merely wanted to torment the animals.

I thought about fighting the monster at first, but then remembered my 'scare them off' technique.

      Spoiler for Spooky Scary Face:

The monster made a yelping sound and ran back into the woods.

I just scared off my own nightmare. Oh, how the tables have turned... (Though granted, I should have asked it what it represented.)

I looked back at the animals that I was protecting and healed them a second time, at least to the best of my ability. I then decided that I would bring good fortune to them. I reached into my pocked expecting to pull out something useful. I only felt a little peice of paper. When I took it out and unfolded it, I thought it was a one hundred dollar bill. Closer examination revealed that it was a one hundred thousand dollar bill.

I tried to give it to the smaller rabbit, who still had the burns to some degree. It looked at me curiously, as if to say 'How's that supposed to help?'. I figured animals wouldn't have much use for money. So I just tried repeatedly wiping my hand over the rabbit, completely healing it. The dream fades out here.

Once I use a dream power three times, I count it as a persistent dream power. This means that scary face to scare off dcs and avoid conflict is a go.

I was a character in an anime/TV show. It was a school show that took place in a floating school inside the atmosphere of Jupiter. The school was a number of very high tech looking white boxes suspended by some kind of gravity particle technology. They were connected by exterior platforms and there was some kind of field that kept a breathable, non-corrosive atmosphere in the vicinity of the school. The overall look of the location was exceptionally well rendered.

The characters however, looked flat and cartoony. Like poorly animated flash characters superimposed on a realistic and beautiful environment. Many of them had rather bland and forgettable designs or were characters that I recognized from either my own creation or any animated series that I have seen.

For a time, I was one of the characters. I was just walking around quietly. Curiously observing the surroundings.
I had some inkling that what I was experiencing was a daydream. I recall seeing that one character was trapped in a small white floating box with a similar aesthetic to the school. I remember thinking that this was some kind of bullying tactic.

I then was booted from controlling myself, and forced to observe in third person. A couple of characters approached mine, asking if he would like to stay after school and help them study. 'I' said no, justifying it with the idea that the other characters were ugly and therefore not worth spending my time with.

My character then left the scene. It then explained these characters had made underwent some kind of change at night. Where the ugly nerd characters would become beautiful and the beautiful characters would become ugly. It had something to do with the machine/box that the one character was sitting in earlier.

The dream had some kind of moral having do to with how you should not judge a book by its cover.

I became lucid at this point and decided that the dream was pointless. This was projected by my character getting a cartoonish rage face and screaming. "Stop making me a character on a TV show!"

I am getting a bit bothered by these 'character in a TV show' dreams. Maybe I should start getting to the bottom of why they keep occurring.

I also recall part of a dream where I was at what felt like my old high school. Only it was spread out across multiple buildings and there were beautiful outdoor areas with gardens and fountains. I was walking with my some random people who I felt were my friends, and talking about lucid dreaming. Naturally, this led me to actually become lucid.

I remember I came outside because I needed to explain something to them. I tried to use dream control to create a world map for some reason, though it failed to alter the environment in any way.

I then remember I started eating a rather large chocolate chip cookie. Though the cookie had a sort of unnatural yellowish color to it. It tasted really good, and I knew it was a dream so I could chow down all I wanted, but for some reason, I started getting a sickly feeling in my stomach anyway. I stopped and pondered what I was doing for a good long time.

Manei approached me, though she had taken the form of a young boy. Not sure if it was on purpose. She asked me what I was going to do now. I threw the cookie into the grass and said that I knew what was important here and now. She started to energy sync with me and I lost the dream.

      ...

There was a large section on nonlucid dream before this that I have forgotten.

I was again with Manei. This time we are in a bog and there are some other DCs present. Though they are not actively attacking us, they are exceedingly and intentionally annoying.
I became lucid and I flew the both of us away.

I flew up over a forested ridge. There was a beautiful and expansive oriental city spread out in that direction. The city had green and gold rooftops with a sort of beige construction. The buildings had a very ubiquitous look to them. Though there was some variation in height, size and shape, they were all so similar in design and none of them had any defining characteristics.

I then made the mistake of asking myself how the heck I was carrying her. Last time I tried to lift off with her on my shoulders I didn't get more than six inches off the ground and flew backwards into a tree. Just as I thought that we started going down. I thought to myself "It's a dream! She doesn't even have any real weight!" but I was plummeting toward the ground anyway. The thought had entered my mind and now it was not going to leave. We fell into a dirt street at speeds that would kill anyone IWL and rolled across the ground. Not a scratch on us, of course.

For some reason this was absolutely hilarious to her and she wouldn't stop laughing. I knew she knew how I let the thought of failure into my mind fully aware of what the end result would be.

"Fine then, maybe you should start flying me around."

She had to ponder that for a second. Apparently this was a new idea to her.

I got up. The dream went in third person for a moment. It had become very foggy and I took note that there was nobody in the city. There was a wind chime hanging from the corner of one of the roofs that made an odd sound.

I got bored and instead began thinking of ways we could travel together. I considered a glider staff, like from Avatar. Or perhaps a hoverboard. Or what about some kind of pocket dimension thing that I could put her inside. Nah. She wouldn't like that...

The dream faded into waking daydreams. I was awake now, but the final portion of the dream continued to play over and over for sometime.
    6. Let me sing you a Saeed Song...

by , 08-26-2015 at 02:52 AM (Lucid Time!)
This is a nonlucid drop from the past week or so since I've been a slacker.

I was back in my elementary school music class. Though for some reason it is the elementary school music classroom mixed with my bedroom and painted orange. There were two classes in there at the time. We are just practicing or whatever. One of the kids from the other class gets up and a rap beat starts. I think his class was playing it. He starts singing a rap number. Then my class stars playing a beat as well. I know the song instantly. Saeed by IM. I start to sing and we get into this music battle. I think I lost because I sang the words wrong.

      ...

I was at my cousins' house. They had invited everyone over to have a huge party, and we were all going to clip our toenails. (Dream Logic: Cutting toenails is this big event that that the entire family has a big party for and participates in.) I start cutting mine, that are really long and gross/gnarly of course... . I ask for bigger nail clippers and my grandfather appears with a stained wooden case. He opens it and reveals he has hundreds of different nail clippers. They were all different, some had little grips, others were made of gold. One pair was like a foot long. I remember asking why someone would need a pair of nail clippers that big.

      ...

I had two dreams that I think had sort of the same theme, and since I haven't been posting they kind of got mixed up in my memory into one dream. I remember both dreams took place at my grandparents' house. (Man we're getting a nice mixture of different homes that I'm farmiliar with here.)

I remember Spellbee2 and DawnEye11 DreamCafe11 appearing in the dream. Spellbee was portrayed as a tall boy with short black hair and a suit and tie. I think he had glasses. (Don't know what he actually looks like in real life.) DreamCafe11 was also a boy but with long wavy brown hair and a black heart in the middle of his forehead. He was wearing purple and black.

When they came in I threw my laptop computer away and closed out Dreamviews. I looked at my reflection in the TV screen and saw that I was hideous. I had an enlarged nose and a huge gray boil, about tennis ball sized coming out where my right eye should have been. My hair was all messed up. I turned to face Spellbee2 and he asked who I was and where JadeGreen was.
I became semi-lucid for a second and thought I was in a shared dream, but I slipped out of it and went back to being nonlucid. I tried to hide under some blankets that were on the floor.

      ...

Later, My entire family was trying to register for Dreamviews. For some reason, I was yelling, pleading, begging that they don't join. I kept going on and on about how horrible it was and how I wished that I had never signed up. Someone asked me to give me an example of why it was bad and for some reason I just made one up.

      ...

I was at disney world with my dad. He got in trouble for stealing a grape and got taken to the managers office. He got a long lecture on doing the right thing and not stealing while I had to sit and watch. He was really disappointed in himself for doing so. The manager wrote him a ticket for $22.25 or something close to that.

There was also a part where we went to an attraction that was a haunted house but it wasn't scary and I was complaining about that.

I think in the end, Pride from FMA was in it.

I just know that this dream dragged on for a very long time, but I found it very boring.

    7. Themes of Horror and Annoyance

by , 06-18-2015 at 03:02 PM (Lucid Time!)
Some long elaborite dream about a football game taking place on campus. My extended family was there and my grandparents were exceptionally annoying in-dream. I also recall us having some problem with parking our cars.

I had to sneak away and help these people hide a dead body before the police found it.

I feel as though I have had this dream at least twice before today, but only recalled it this morning. The setup is always exactly the same:

I am a covert spy/assassin working for some sort of government agency. High tech gear, intense training, and an assistant that I can communicate with to help me hack doors and all that. My mission is to find and kill someone inside this lodge that appears to be in the middle of the desert. I only have a limited amount of time as my assistant is trying to convince the government not to drop an anti-mutant bomb to stop something bad from happening. This time I run out of time almost as soon as the mission starts.

"Get out of there, you're out of time!"

I haven't had a chance to even walk inside to investigate the lodge. A nuclear blast goes off in the distance and a wave of fire engulfs me and the lodge building. I am left completely unfazed but the lodge is instantly ignited. I hear people screaming as they are burned alive. I then see the slenderman standing in front of the flames in the main door of the building. For some reason, he has a really large round head.
This is what causes me to become lucid, because I know I have seen this scenario before.

I am a covert assassin so I pull my pistol off my belt and fire at him. No effect. Somehow, he gets to be right in front of me. I reach for my combat knife but it is already gone. There is a metal pole that was blasted out of the lodge laying on the ground next to me. I grab it and stab him in the chest up through the top of the head. His flesh sort of feels like putty. He does sort of reel back and go "urff" as if this is hurting him, but he grabs me in his tentacles and starts to pull me apart.

Before the dream ends, I try to say "Stop, I am not afraid of you!" but nothing audible is heard and the dream ends anyway.

By no means scared, but somewhat annoyed that I could not speak. I guess the scenario is so overblown and trying so hard to be scary that it ends up coming off as rather silly.

I considered that it could be a scenario that I am subconsciously afraid of but not aware that I am afraid of. (A short story I was working on with S explored this exact concept yesterday.) As such, I have had my fill of that theme and do not need a dream to further explore it.

    8. Summer Camp Prison

by , 05-26-2015 at 12:39 PM (Lucid Time!)
I had somehow or other been taken to this remote location that was named to be some kind of summer camp but was really more like Juvy or Prison. The camp was in the woods, on top of a hill in the middle of nowhere. The outer are of the camp, all of the property that they owned was fenced off by a chain-link fence with barbed wire. The inside wall was a high concrete wall with four guard towers at the corners.

In the camp there were four Quonset huts that were the different dorms. Each dorm had slightly different uniforms and rules, and was for a different personality type (They were kind of like the Hogwarts Houses). There was a cafeteria building, a couple classrooms, and an administration building where security guards met and guarded the whole building.

The Head Master (who looked kind of like like Kim Jong Un) came out and told everyone that he made a deal with them. Since his camp was really strict, he would use deadly force on anyone caught trying to escape. But, if they made it past the outer fence, he would call off his guards and leave, because clearly, anyone good enough to try and escape and get out was too strong willed for them to contain.

I remember us having uniforms at the camp. Not really much to say about them, they were kind of generic, suit and necktie for boys and dress for girls.

I don't remember much about the content of the camp, what we learned. Some of the stuff was basic school stuff, math, science, etc. Some of it was stuff designed to brainwash us into thinking that our leader (the headmaster of the camp) was great. I also took note of the fact that they fed students very generously and had not physical education program, and that students who had been around awhile had grown to be quite pudgy. I figured this was part of what made it harder to escape.

I do remember going to the class a couple of times. The teacher was a stern old witch and the class was taught in a very old-fashioned looking classroom. I remember class went on for many hours each day, though the material that was covered was fairly elementary.

I remember classtime was important, particularly to people who were planning escapes. It gave us hours where we could plan things. Most of the books we were given had extra blank pages to make them look thicker and more educational, and disguise the amount of actual content in them. These could be easily and quietly removed one at a time giving you free paper to write notes to students that you otherwise wouldn't have.

Others insisted on using mealtime to make escape plans and relay information. Like I said, the food here wasn't the best. It seemed like their intention was to fatten students up with the amount of doughnuts, pies, rolls and mac-n-cheese they were always serving us, and something about some of the dishes tasted really off. There were probably some horrible mind-control chemicals or something in them. Though there were foods I found good, particularly the apples that they always had in a bowl at the end of the counter. They were picked from an apple tree just inside the concrete wall by a small patch of bush. It was the only place in the camp that was not mowed.

And just about everyone I talked to wanted to get out or tried making escape plans. I remember being in the bathroom of my dorm building (It was the only place that there were never any security guards.) A dark, dirty and stinky place. The dorm was also co-ed so there were boys and girls sharing a bathroom. It seemed as though those of us freshman. (People who had been here just a couple months, or had just arrived) Were much more inclined to hatching escape plans than our seniors. Probably because more of the seniors had been brainwashed or realized that escape was futile.

I do remember not any more than a couple days after I got there, the sophomores tried to escape. Nearly the entire class was in on it. I remember watching from the window at my dorm. I knew their plan was to sneak onto the food truck that delivered to the cafeteria and hide in the empty boxes and sit back as the food truck drove them away. They had actually invited me to join as well, but I declined them telling them I would get out later. I was glad I didn't join up with them, because the plan ended up failing, they were caught by the guards.

Did I mention the levels of punishment here? Level one, for just a minor one time thing was just a harsh scolding. If you did something against the rules on purpose, you were paddled. If a big violation earned you public whipping, and formulating or attempting escape plans earned you death. The leaders of the team were put to death, while most of the other students got off with a whipping. (Moreso because they didn't want to kill off the entire sophomore class.)

Yeah, I was going to escape. But I was gonna come up with my own plan, one that I knew could not fail. But first, I was going to need intel and I was going to need to get in good with the headmaster. Intel was the easy part. I remember this short black girl who seemed to know an awful lot about the school and was great at channeling information. I asked her to send all that she knew to me in code.

Getting in good with the headmaster guy took some sucking up. Trying in the classes. I even wrote a short speech about how great he was for extra credit. This got me major points with him, but made me lose trust with some of the students thinking I had been brainwashed. The black girl didn't lose trust in me though, she knew it was all part of my plan.

The one other thing I had to watch out for was the way the school caused people to fall out of shape by serving carb-laden foods and the lack of a phys-ed program. This was easy, I would go into the bathroom during the middle of the night and practice martial arts, that coupled with just staying away from the weird-tasting food kept me in fighting shape for the day of my escape.

At one point, I found out an alternate escape route. Originally I was going to get out the front gate, but I found that by the apple tree and the one area of plant growth inside the wall; if you were to sneak in there, there was a small hole somebody had dug beneath the concrete wall. It was difficult to fit through, but I managed to do so. On the other side was a sheer drop-off about 50 feet of clifface. This was where the camp/prison place drained all of their water and there was a small stream running out of the base of the mountain.

There was also a rope bridge along with many platforms that connected the trees in the forest that lay beyond. You had to jump from platform to platform, but they led you about halfway out to barbed wire chain-link fence. The funny thing was, I could even see a hole in that from where I was standing. I was also paying attention to the drainage pipe. It was more than big enough to crawl out of. It was big enough for someone short like me to walk out of.

There was a male student sitting on one of the platforms fishing with a makeshift pole. He told me that this was an escape route he had made to help students get out. It all seemed a little bit too good to be true, and I thought that there was no way it could be this easy, or many more students would have done it a long time ago. Sure enough, it was a trap to see if I would escape or if I was loyal, and by refusing to escape, I had proven my loyalty.

It was a few days later. The other students thought that my escape had failed and that I had been punished. I told them that was not the case and showed them a drawing of the escape platforms in the woods and told them about the trap. I then went outside and sat under the apple tree. All of the other growth had been mowed and cut down, but the apple tree remained. I helped myself to one when the Headmaster showed up. He congratulated me for remaining loyal and doing well in my classes. He took note of the fact that I was not wearing my uniform necktie, but didn't seem to care.

He got up to leave, but I dropped the apple I was going to eat. He picked it up for me. It was a shame too, he started to seem like a nice guy, and it was time for my escape plan, too.

I lunged at him from behind. I wrapped my necktie around his head, gagging him. I put a couple of sharp pencils to his neck. The guards noticed as I started walking him around to through the dorms to the front gate. I told the guards to open the gate and they did. Just outside the main gate, I let the man go, but left the necktie gag on.

"Good Game!" I sneered at him, and got into my parents' green van that had been left in the parking lot. I got the emergency key and drove off.

      ...

I was hunted by some of his guards. (He didn't keep his promise.) I remember I stopped at a gas station and the guards tried to disintegrate the van using laser guns. I had to get into an old white car in order to get away.

There was also some alternate part of the dream where the platforms in the woods were not a trap created by the headmaster, but rather the test you needed to pass in order to graduate.

    9. Really Weird Night (LD #174)

by , 02-28-2015 at 04:31 PM (Lucid Time!)
A nightmare where I was looking into the mirror in my bathroom. The skin on my chest/stomach peeled off and my internal organs started to fall out. I remember my heart looked artificial and had some kind of gauge or pressure meter on it. I screamed and woke up.

wtf I haven't had a nightmare of any sort in like two years...

After that, I wanted to go back to sleep to see if I could snag some lucidity before morning. Some disjointed fragments led into a couple of congruent LDs.

-Something to do with my college dormitory. For some reason I was wearing golden earrings in the dream, somebody commented on them, saying that they looked good. I asked myself when I got piercings and could not recall. I didn't become lucid though.

-Something to do with drawing and a tin of colored pencils.

-I was playing LBP3. I was designing this level where you would run across all of these little white platforms that were moving and stuff was firing on you. There was also this big metal bridge that would unfold when you got close to it. A was there, commenting on how he liked the game-play aspect of it.

I was at the community pool in my cousin's hometown, though almost nobody was there except me and someone else. I was just chilling in the shallow end of the pool when this bully character approached the two of us. He picked us both out of the water and said he wanted to try and drown us in the deep end.

I tried to punch him but it didn't do much.

I elbowed him in the face and managed to swim away. He followed me out of the pool. I turned around to fight him. He was buff and had long blonde hair and short thick facial hair and blue eyes. It was also at this moment that I noticed that I was still wearing gold earrings. I thought this might put me at a disadvantage because he could grab them.

I ran in and kicked him in the stomach. He reeled back. He was almost at the edge of the pool. He came back and tried to punch me. I ducked under it and put my leg behind his. From there it was easy to just push him into the water.

He looked at me angrily. I thought he was going to just get out of the water and attack me again, but he seemed to just be waiting there. But this other DC showed up. He looked like Santa Claus except his outfit was all white.

He said something about learning to be submissive and recognize your own inferiority. He said that this was meant to be some kind of dream test and that I had failed it.

For some reason, I was just boiling mad at this Santa/Guide character. I started screaming at him that people shouldn't be taught to be inferior and submissive, and that you can't mold people into what you want. They will do their own things and form their own identities and moral codes and there is nothing that you can do about it.

I got so mad at him that I FA'd in my living room. But it felt smaller. All of the furniture had been pushed into one end of the room an there was a small Christmas tree in the room with some presents under it.

This seemed strange to me. I did a nose pinch RC. Lucid dreamin' baby. I had almost become fully lucid in the last section, but now I could think clearly. I still wanted to see Manei. I started calling her name, expecting her to simply be upstairs or something. No reply. I thought to go outside, but saw that it was very, very dark. The kind of darkness that would make me lose the dream.

I then realized that stabilizing would probably be a smart idea. I rubbed my hands together.

"I will not lose the dream until I have accomplished one of my goals!"

I then thought to try teleporting to the beach location. In the past my teleportation efforts have failed miserably, so I was gonna have to really commit. I closed my eyes and started visualizing the beach in Puerto Rico that my family goes to every year.

I started to see it in the center of my vision. I thought that I should start engaging my other senses. I tried to picture the sound of waves crashing on the shore, the smell of saltwater and the sun on my face.

However when I opened my eyes I was still in my home, but things were different. I saw that it had gotten considerably lighter outside. It still appeared to be foggy and gray, but I could make out the street and plants. The entire backyard had been taken over by a massive jungle/forest. There was a huge vine with massive mango-like fruit growing on it. (When I say massive Mango-Fruit, I am talking 3-4 feet across.

I made my way out the front door to get a better look at what was outside. The dream's clarity started revving up to very high levels here. I saw that half the neighborhood had been overtaken with these huge gnarled branches. There seemed to be pieces of a structure in there, as if it were made of I-beams.

I followed the gnarled branches up to see a huge tree, literally miles tall. It seemed as though as it got farther away, it looked less and less like it was made of wood. It seemed to be made of stone or metal, and had complex designs of overlapping circles and rune symbols on it. It was supporting the sky, that appeared to be solid, made of high-technology structures (like the surface of the death star). There were windows or some kind of white lights scattered about on the surface. There seemed to be places where it had rusted through though and real vegetation was growing through it, both on the tree and the sky.

The sky had to be 50 or 100 miles up. There were layers upon layers of thin, misty clouds surrounding the tree trunk. The thing that I remember the most was the temperature. It was sooo hot and humid in this dream.

I couldn't believe the enormity of these metal trees, and I had to check them out for myself. I started flying, but for some reason moved backwards very quickly. I stopped and stumbled.

"No, I want to go UP!"

I started flying again, but I still went backwards. I lost control of the ability to fly and got pulled out of the scene. Everything started shrinking and getting darker. I saw more of the trees supporting the sky ceiling for a moment. It looked like some of them were just tree stumps.

Somebody told me that this was a forest that had been cut down by giant cosmic beings from the seventh dimension, millions of years ago, but it was growing back now. I saw my town on a remove section of earth, like a SimCity tile, floating in nothing.

I was in a black void. White cubes were scattered about. I was still pulling backwards at increasingly fast speeds. I thought I might hit one of the cubes, not being able to see where I was flying.

      I woke up.

Interpretations: I really have to come back to these after I've had some proper time to think about it.
    10. LD #152: Using a Dreamcatcher in a Dream

by , 01-03-2015 at 06:10 PM (Lucid Time!)
I was at the pool at my family's old health club. I noticed that I didn't need to hold my breath to stay underwater and it felt very relaxing just floating there underwater. Also, the pool was much deeper than it is IWL. Eventually the lifeguard thought that I was drowning and pulled me out of the water. I apologized for calling him into action and told him that I was totally fine.

I had a dream that involved my mom wanting me to drive the family's old van. I didn't want to do it.

I was in a Cafe in the outlet mall a couple miles from my house. (I don't know if it is there IWL, but I could 'sense' where I was. I ran into my friend sitting at a large table all by himself. We already have a C and an H so we'll call him CH. So I sat down with him. I remember thinking that I might want to go get some tea or something from the Cafe. But I haven't seen CH in years so we wanted to get our hellos out of the way.

I went to the Cafe and bought some tea. A little expensive, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

When I sat back down CH was looking through my art portfolio. There were a bunch of large drawings in it that are not there IWL. The looked like drawings that I did as a child. One was particularly good though. I remembered that I wanted to show him something on the back. When I turned it back over onto the front the particularly good drawing was gone.

I began cascading into lucidity as I noticed that turning the drawings over, or looking away from them produced different results each time. I transitioned from the Cafe to my living room. I still had one of the drawings in my hand. I then did a nose pinch just to confirm that I was dreaming. Oh, yeah.

My parents were sitting on the couch across from me. My dad had his arm over my mom's shoulder. I told them that I was lucid dreaming and had to go do my goals. They smiled, almost creepily and said OK.

I walked around the kitchen of my house, rubbing my hands on things and stabilizing. At one point, I pulled out a drawer. It was full of CD cases in neat rows. But the drawer was broken, one of the sides was missing. I thought to myself that I could fix it. I looked away, and the side was fixed. I closed it.

I went to the door to go outside, but all I could see outside the windows was black. I couldn't even see that the front porch was there. I closed my eyes and tried to have it appear as day when I opened them. Nope, still dark outside. I then tried to transport myself directly onto a beach. (Why a beach? Because that was where many of my early lucid dreams took place. It just seemed like a good place to go.)

I closed my eyes and visualized a beach. It seemed to be working, but when I came out of it, I was still in my house. I tried again. This time, when I visualized the beach, Manei was there. But when I came out of it, I was still in my house.

I then thought that my bedroom might be a better place to change the scene. I have a huge potted tree that could be perfect for bringing me to a tropical/beach environment. I made my way up the steps. But when I got to the top, and turned down the hall to go into my room, I felt a presence. I looked behind me to see someone emerge from the wall.

The means by which they emerged from the wall was pretty psychedelic and difficult to describe in words. It could best be described as pushing into a taught blanket from the other side until it peeled away from the wall and he became a figure cloaked in that yucky beige color my parents painted the walls. As I saw the figure coming down on me, I wasn't so much scared as I was 'are you serious?!'. I found myself more annoyed by this being than anything else because I had lucid goals to attend to.

He wrapped me up in mummy wrapping scarves, and then picked me up feet first. Originally, I thought I could simply overpower the being. That didn't work, it's movements and grip felt as strong as steel. I managed to get a hand free. I looked down and saw the barefoot leg of a man. I put my hand up to it and tried to picture a steel spike forming out of my hand and going through the leg. Nothing happened.

The being carried me into the guest bedroom and wrestled me onto the bed. By this point, I had both hands free.

"Stop! You are a nightmare! What do you represent?!"

      No response.

"This is my dream! I'm not scared of you, whoever you are!" I said, venting my annoyance. It was at this point that I realized that this being was no monster, but merely a man. I started trying to punch him, but my hits didn't connect with any meaningful force. It felt as though I was simply punching a pillow. I, instead tried to peel away the cloak and mummy scarves, that felt as though they were made out of paper.

I managed to peel away the scarves around his face. I saw the face of a late 30's-early 40's man with short hair and a stubble-ish mustache. He looked a little like my father, if he was more of a military type. I couldn't help but thing that this man was an agent or a part of some task force.

I he still seemed intent on restraining me. I then had one more idea. I put my right hand behind my back and manifested a dreamcatcher. I broke free of his grip completely and floated to the end of the bed. I held up the dreamcatcher. It was no bigger than my hand, but I could see the feathers hanging down from the bottom.

      "Nightmare Ward!"

Now before anyone asks, I don't know where those words came from. I guess it was just the first thing that I thought to say.

The man went from being determined and aggressive to terrified faster than anyone I've seen. He started to scream in defeat and the dream went dark.

Officially, that's the third nightmare that I've vanquished.

I false awoke on my bed. I figured that I should get out of bed and write down the dream. I made it to the door of my room when I false awoke a second time.

I was laying in bed, suspicious of my reality. Eventually, I started moving to preform a nose pinch. Yep, still dreaming. I sat up in bed. I then woke up a third time.

I was awake for real this time, but I felt that I could DEILD if I tried. I figured that I wanted to get up and write my lucid while I still had it.

    11. Big Bad Wolf, Locked out of Dorm, Canyon Dogfight (Lucid), That FA that everyone hates.

by , 12-14-2014 at 06:33 PM (Lucid Time!)
I was watching a documentary about a movie being filmed somewhere in northern Greenland. (Though it looked nothing like that, in fact the flora looked nothing like earth. In the background were these weird trees with tube-like leaves, and these massive green and red stalks, easily 50 feet tall.

The director of the movie was talking about how these parts were beautiful but the local tribes rumored there to be some kind of wolf demon who lived in the woods. He said that a couple of guys had disappeared though. I began hearing panting and growling like a monster was coming in the background.

I began to hear a low growling/panting noise and I woke up. I looked around all paranoid like a little kid half expecting there to be a giant wolf/monster in my room. I thought about how I once heard that nightmares like this occur because of our primordial fear of such creatures. After a minute, I got past it and went back to sleep.

I had a rather long and extremely dull dream that I had been locked out of my college dorm room. I walked around campus and eventually ran into S. We went to the Cafe and he bought a whole bunch of food and ate it. (So... accurate to RL, he loves food.)

I eventually went to see campus security and pointed out that I couldn't even get back to my dorm. I pointed in the direction that it was supposed to be and there was this huge, old skyscraper with a clock tower where my dorm was supposed to be.

"I can't get back to my dorm, there's a giant skyscraper-
      Wait."

Lucidity hit me like a sack of bricks. I started to wake up. I told myself I would DEILD. I found myself in a supermarket.

What followed was a really odd semi-lucid dream where I was in a supermarket, but the shelves in the supermarket were phasing between that and a desert canyon. There was a dogfight going on in the canyon between a number of white and black aircraft of various sizes. It was some kind of real-time-strategy game, but I wasn't playing, just observing.

In the end it turned out to be some kind of hologram and I remember the canyon changed back into the supermarket, but all of the tiny aircraft were still there.

I then of course had that FA that everyone hates. You know, the one where you dream that you wake up, get your computer, go on Dreamviews and start typing up the previous dreams. I can remember writing my DJ entry in an odd way, though. I wrote it as this long list trying to keep track of every point that happened in the previous dreams. Also, in the dream I remember writing up one or two more nonlucid dreams that I no longer recall now.

by , 12-10-2014 at 02:09 PM (Lucid Time!)
I guess that dry spell is broken...

I was watching the final episode of Legend of Korra. In it, Aang appears as an old man and everyone asks how this is possible. He says that he faked his own death so that the world could actually have two avatars. (Um... okay, I don't think that it works like that, but it's a dream.) Also, elderly Aang looks just like the way he did as a child save for he has a long beard and bags under his eyes.

He used this energybending move that caused all of these blue orbs to fly everywhere. It had something to do with focus. He would then select one orb that was the move that he wanted to do. He tries to teach the move to Korra, but she doesn't understand it and gets frustrated. (Of course.)

He then decides that he wants to try it on me. The dream shifts to my garage and Aang is a real person now, only he's a kid now and he has hair like in season three. There is a mirror in the garage and I look into it to see what I look like. For some reason my hair is black has all of these dark brown highlights that look like stripes.

Aang wants to try to use energy-bending on me to make me better able to lucid dream. He asks that I cast a magical field to filter off any negative side effects. I hold up my hand and concentrate on creating a feild and nothing happens, but he seems to think its there. Aang then creates dozens of orbs around the room and begins connecting them. He then fires a bluish white ray at me from his hands that causes me to wake up.

I was walking around my subdivision by the lake when I nose pinched and realized I was dreaming. There was some sort of presence that felt very scary or dark in this location so I decided to fly far away. I put my hands down and turned on my flying jets, and focused on a cloud up above. The sky was a rainbow of strange colors going from crimson red to orange to a yucky shade of yellow, with bluish-gray clouds.

As I got closer, I noticed that the cloud didn't look very cloudy. It looked solid. I slowed down and ran my hand along it. It was solid ice; a solid ice cloud! I then noticed what looked like a tunnel into the cloud. I flew into it and eventually met a high-tech looking steel door. I heard a voice on the other end and someone let me in.

      ...

I was with Marcus, inside his ice cloud base. He explained to me that the base was actually a secret ship and coolant was pumped to the exterior so that the ship would be covered with ice and condensation to disguise it as a cloud. (That's actually a really good idea, assuming you have enough power to keep the ship aloft with all the extra weight.) He was fighting this alien race called the Fraxnor.

Just then an alarm sounded. A fraxnor was in the base. I saw him out of the corner of my eye and started chasing him. There was a plot in play here that this ship/base was very secret and we didn't want anyone fraxnor who found it to get out alive. I started chasing him, he was about seven feet tall, walking on long triple-jointed legs and huge feet. He had two sets of arms, four eyes, and a small ball-gut style body, and he was the yuckiest shade of puke-brown with wrinkly alien skin. And he could run.

He got to his ship, in the hangar. I jumped into a fighter spacecraft and Marcus followed me. We fired on the guy again and again, but his ship was just a hair faster than us and was getting away. A health bar showed up and it would take one more hit to kill this guy.

Then I looked below us. There was a huge war going on, and the original terrain of my subdivision and town had been replaced with a barren planet of craggy rock formations. The yucky yellow sky remained though. There were four or five space warships and hundreds of fighters on each side. Basically a full-on star-wars style battle. But our mission was to get the one who got away.

      "We'll never catch him now."

      My lucidity refreshed.

      "Not like this, we won't!"

I pulled what I assumed was the eject lever and shot out of the space fighter. I broke away from the ejector seat's restraints with brute strength. I looked down at the escaping fighter. Flying jets on, and I shot after him.

This guy was fast, and I really had to gun it to catch him. I've never flown this fast while flying before, and my booster flame sounded less like a flamethrower and more like the whine of a turbojet. I came down into the canyon, on top of the fraxnor's fighter. He looked up out of the canopy at me and opened his mouth. I could assume he was screaming, though I couldn't hear squat.

The dream got blurry at this point, but I think I wrecked his ship. When it crashed, he tried to get out, but I punched him in the face.

    13. Tesser and Shotgun Nightmares

by , 10-25-2014 at 01:53 PM (Lucid Time!)
I am playing a video game that has become very popular called 'Tesser'. It starts off with a cut-scene where a character (who looks like Marcus) explains the dimensions. If you draw a dot, it exists in no dimensions. If you draw a second dot and connect them you make a line; that exists in one dimension. If you draw a second line and connect them, you make a square; that exists in two dimensions. If you draw a second square and connect them, that makes a cube; and it exists in three dimensions. If you draw a second cube, and connect them; you create a tesseract.
Now, the paper you are drawing your shapes on. Just as the paper you are drawing on looks two dimensional, if you look closely it is actually a little bit three dimensional. In the same way, three dimensional reality is a little bit fourth-dimensional. That is how the fictional company in the game was able to make a tesseract and travel to parallel dimensions.
In the game, you walk around a three-dimensional world, but everything is tinted a color. When you tesseract, the tint changes. So you have a Red,Yellow,Green,Cyan,Blue, and Magenta dimension. And they are all slightly different versions of the level, so you can say for instance come across a gap. In one dimension, it might be a wide, impassible gap, but in another dimension there might be a bridge across it.
But you will die if you tesseract yourself over-top a hazard or inside a wall. Also you can only move to dimensions close to you in color. For example, if you are in the green dimension, you can only move to the blue and the yellow dimensions.

I am watching an anime. It stars me, and is supposed to be about my ventures in lucid dreaming. I am in the woods with an old man and am carrying a shotgun. The old man is one of the sensei/master types and he his helping me hunt little demons that stop me from lucid dreaming. He says he has a surprise at the end.
We end up killing a very unsatisfying amount of lucid demons this time around. Just as we are getting ready to leave, he spots a demon owl. My character looks through the scope and sees a magnificent white creature roosting on a high branch.
"Are you sure that's a lucid demon?"
"Yes, now shoot it before it flies away!"
He fires, and then lowers the gun, and when he does Manei has taken the place of the owl. She feels for her chest and sees the blood pouring from it. She falls off of the branch and into a deep thicket.
      My character screams "NOOO!!!"
He turns to the Sensei character who is smiling evily. As soon as he sees the evil smile he blows his head off with the shotgun at point blank, and then falls over and stars crying. There is one of those shots of the eyes that they give at emotional moments in animes.
A thick fog rolls in and all of the shots are upside down. Some of them have glitches, as if there are scratches on the CD or something. There is some music playing that is supposed to be sad but it sounds like a very distorted synth piece. It was at that point that I decided that I wanted to 'turn off' the anime, and that I hated it. But I couldn't.
      ...
The scene of Manei being shot repeated over and over. I kept on trying to stop it.
      ...

My character had gone to lucid dreaming "hell" for killing his dream guide. I became more aware that this was a dream and gained a degree of control over my character, I was able to interface with him, talk to him.
A demon approached me, that was supposed to be my character's torturer. He wore black robes, and looked a little like Darth Maul. His head hung at a 90 degree angle to one side. He put both hands on the side of his head and forced it upright, cracking his neck.
For some reason this scene repeated several times as well.
The demon readied his attack. He had these flaming bladed chains, four of them come out of his back. It reminded me of slenderman's tentacles.
"Don't take this from him, fight back!"
      "I will!" He grunted.
The demon sent his chains but my character ran under them to melee range and fired off several rounds from his shotgun. It was completely ineffective. He dodged a couple of attacks with the chains, then started flying.
      "I...I still have my powers!"
The fight became like a 2D sidescroller video game, and after a few minutes the dream faded.

The anime somehow ended with dream music as I was waking up. This was a rock soundtrack with a very talented and amazing singer. I forget the lyrics but they had to do with forgetting your past and moving on.
    14. Manei tries to summon the Angelic Dwarven Guardian (LD #121), Destroying the Lucid Barrier (LD #122)

by , 10-15-2014 at 01:21 PM (Lucid Time!)
Well... good night last night. Took me an hour to type this up.

I was driving along in a mountainous region supposedly on some family vacation with my parents. The sky looks to be a very deep shade of blue and I think there were some planets in the sky. The mountains we are on don't look very earth-like either.
The mountains are made out of a light brown/tawny rock and covered in moss that seems to flow over them like water. Exotic fern-trees grow in some of the more level areas but the mountains are fairly jagged.
The road we are driving on is narrow (two lane) and built up on this really high end, futuristic looking bridge. Eventually I saw that we were coming up on a settlement in a valley.
It was a very small settlement. Two houses, one of the houses is very modern with a big glass wall on the front and a solar array on the roof. The other one looks older, being made of bricks with a circular drive out front. There is also an old fashioned well and a park with swings and a play structure.
My parents said that we had been driving for awhile and that we should pull over and eat lunch as a family in this park.
      ...

This somehow led me to becoming lucid. I ran into Manei, who had taken on a youthful form, she was about 8. She then turned and ran and I came after her. I chased her across the playground structure and she went down the slide.
"Come on! Go down the slide!"
      "mmm... Ok."
I go down the slide, trying to rack up a little bit of dream stabilization along the way. I recall the slide being a reddish color, and having scuff marks on it. Before I reach the bottom, she says something else.
"When you get to the bottom, don't stop!"
I slide down and when I come off the end of the slide I go forward a little bit because of my momentum and land on my butt in the wood chips. For some reason I seem to sink into the wood chips.
"Good, I had to make sure you were still (able to act like a child). The Dwarven Guardians who run this place really like that."
      "...?"
"I'm going to summon the Angelic Dwarven Guardian now. Now you won't be able to see him because (He exists across the fourth dimension), but (He will be standing right in front of you) you will be able to communicate with him through thoughts."
Manei changes into her base form (goes through puberty in a couple of seconds) and begin concentrating on summoning him. The dream begins to shift, I have a false awakening, or a scenery change, can't remember. Anyways, I'm in my bedroom. The wood chips I was laying in have become my bed. I lose some lucidity.

The dream scene changes again. I am now in the basement of my house, standing. Manei continues concentrating for a minute or two and then all four of our family's cats (including the dead one) show up. Our youngest cat is particularly interested in whatever she is trying to do. He meows and rubs against her leg.
"Rrrrgh! No! (Facepalms) That's not what I meant to do!"
The dream carried on for a minute as Manei became frustrated in her attempts to summon this being, and I just sort of stood there patiently waiting to see what exactly was going to happen. I began to feel like the cat, the young one was somehow a representation of the being we were trying to summon. I tried to lock onto the cats energy and he and I engaged in a staring contest. I could feel something else in there. I could see it in his eyes. I was about to tell Manei that she should change her approach when I woke up.

      5:10. Let's go back.

I had a dream where I had gotten a job at a superstore, like Target or Wal-Mart. I was the Janitor and my job was to clean the interior windows on the office walls in the back. My boss (a grouchy, short, fat, black haired man) gave me a toilet brush that had been dipped in soapy water.
      "Get your ass moving now!"
I walk into the back of the store and begin scrubbing the windows. I haven't been told that I have to dry them or anything, and wasn't given a towel, so I just scrub them clean. The first office is really easy, but the second office, for some reason, someone has splattered a muddy brown substance on the window. I couldn't tell if it was mud, chocolate, caramel, or *shudders* something worse.
Regardless, I'm the Janitor, and I guess they have to put up with stuff like this, so I just push past it. I start scrubbing but my brush gets contaminated with the muddy substance. I'm not really cleaning anymore, I'm just moving the dirt around. I decide I will go back to my boss and tell him that I'm going to need a bucket of soapy water.
I start walking back across the store floor to the front where my boss is; in the front. I don't get very far until I come across my mom who is shopping. She tells me that I really should put on some pants if I want to impress my boss, and I realize that I am wearing a shirt and briefs.

Lucidity hits me like a brick wall.
There was this weird part though where the scenario repeated itself semi lucid. I was in a library this time, and my boss was a female, but no less grumpy. I went through scrubbing the windows, but there was this extra part where I was trying to clean the brush off in a drinking fountain in the back of the library.
      ...
Regardless, I had a false awakening. As my eyes started to open, I could tell I was in my bedroom.
My lucidity was clear enough to remember that I had gone to sleep in my college dorm room. I did a nose pinch.
"Yeah! Just what I thought! A false awakening!"
Something felt odd about my bedroom, like everything was reflected to the opposite side.
I started to get out of bed and I took note of how dark everything was. I decided to turn on the lights. The dream glitched here and I was instantly over at the door, facing as If I were walking into my bedroom. I flicked on the light-switch and nothing happened. I flicked it up and down two times, and nothing happened.
"Wait... don't light switches not work in dreams...?"
The light flashed on blindingly bright for a fraction of a second. I heard a loud scream, then everything was black. I could feel myself falling for a few seconds.
      ...
I false awaken. After one false awakening, I was ready to catch the second one, especially if it was to be in the same place as the first. I was in my bedroom. It was dark. I looked at the floor to see that it had been extruded down about 20 feet and filled with water back to the level of the original floor. The weird part was, all the furniture was sitting in place on the surface of the water.
I recall the water being dark and murky, and seeing a large shark or predatory fish of some sort in the water.
I must not have been fully lucid because I felt trapped by it. Eventually a blurry-faced dream character in a tiny yellow inflatable dingy came in, rowing with a wooden paddle. When they came up to my bed, I pushed them into the water and stole their little boat.
I rowed into the guest bedroom for some odd reason and the clarity and mood of the dream picked up significantly. I thought that I was in a surreal painting or something. The water here was very shallow, six inches at the most, and clear. There were brightly colored fish in it, and the carpet flooring had been replaced with wood.
There was a waterfall flowing from a bottomless pitcher suspended in midair, down a wooden desk, then onto a wooden chair into the floor below. For some reason, there was also a coat rack with a couple of bird cages hanging from it, with brightly colored birds in them. Some of the cages were open and a couple of exotic dream-birds were circling around the room.
There were vases of flowers everywhere and lily pads in the water.
I saw a turtle in the water. The turtle had mosses and grasses growing on his shell. I asked the turtle if he would protect me from the shark that was in the other room. He then created this little explosion of bubbles and a tiny fish appeared. It was black and brown with yellow spots. He told me that the fish would protect me.

I turned back and looked around the room. My lucidity was slipping and I had to remind myself that this was just a dream. I decided to go outside. I began walking out of my house, and the water floors were fading away now.
      ...
I open the door and take one look. I couldn't help myself.
      Holy S**t!
The dream world was so bright and realistic. I could make out every leaf on every tree, blowing in the wind. I could see a full, white moon rising in the daytime sky. The sky still had that look that it had in the first dream though, it was a darker blue than it should have been. All of the colors seemed to pop, though.
The trees in our yard were not quite right though. They seemed to be of different species. The one that is right out the front door was replaced with this one with millions of tiny bright green leaves. And where our pine tree was was a palm tree that started with a single base and split into multiple tops. Another tree was replaced with a giant red and white mushroom.
As I looked more closely at the sky, I could see a structure in it. I couldn't really describe quite what it looked like in words, but it was made up of these circular nodes. Each one had a rune symbol on it. The rune symbols were connected by large beams with small white lights along the edges. Between those larger beams were smaller intricate spiral and radial patterns, sometimes centering around the nodes. The structure arched across the whole sky.
Although I couldn't quite tell what it was, I could tell that it was solid, probably made of stone or metal, and that it was at least a few miles up. It had a sort of technological look to it, like the surface of the death star would. But also a very mystical, design. There were a couple of clouds in places obscuring parts of the structure.
I was a bit taken aback by all this scenery. I almost lost the dream.
"Keep it together (Jade)! It's just a dream... A very very good lucid dream."
Then, just when I couldn't taken any more, we got planets. Two of them. Somehow visible past the barrier. Both of them looked earth-like, with atmospheres and oceans. One was larger and looked pretty flat, mostly land. The other was much more topographically interesting with craters and oceans.
I had to contain myself a second time. I tried to think of something I could do. I then thought of the "Lucid Barrier" and thought that perhaps that huge structure in the sky is my lucid barrier. I should fly up and destroy it!
Okay, usually in very stable, vivid dreams, flying can be a bit of a hassle. I try not to think about the fact that there is a massive structure hindering my lucid dreaming ability right above me. I start running from my front porch, toward the road. I try projecting my energy out of my hands to generate lift. I can't feel any energy flowing. I look upwards, at the house across the street and try to imagine myself being pulled toward the second floor.
I jump, and notice that I don't seem to be heading back toward the ground. I feel the energy start flowing from my hands, and my little hand rockets ignite. Classic.
      "Haha! Yeah!"
All of the sudden I hear a horn. I am now in the middle of the road, and only a couple of feet off the ground. A large white van careens toward me. I get struck on the left and side of the van and spun around by the impact. But it doesn't really hurt, despite the fact that I was hit at a fairly high speed. I try not to let the spin destabilize or change the dream environment.
The van fares a little worse though, it careens off the road and hits one of the neighbor's trees. The dream character; a black man with dreads gets out.
"Hey! Watch it! I... You're flying... He's flying!" The dream character yells.
Something made me realize that the huge structure in the sky was not my lucid barrier. I decide to manifest a physical representation of it and destroy it. I turned around, and in the middle of the street was my lucid barrier.
It was made out of rings of a pink polished stone, like a target, with a white four pointed star, also made out of polished stone. There was a ring of grey polished stone that connected into a pedestal and a crescent of more white polished stone along the inside of the outer ring. It was actually a beautiful sculpture and I felt a little bit bad for having to destroy it.
I started to fly at it. For some reason, my flying was a little bit awkward and I was flying feet-first. I wanted to turn myself around, until I realized this was actually perfect. I kicked into it, knocking out the white crescent and breaking the outer ring ring of grey stone. I looked back to see my work, and a little less than half of the wall was gone.
I felt my lucidity get clearer. Then I realized the reason my lucidity was so clear, and that my mind was so awake was that I was actually waking up.

Hopefully now that I started tearing down that lucid barrier my LDs will increase.

    15. LD #112: Pool with mean Politicians, Nightmare Invasion Movie

by , 09-13-2014 at 02:24 PM (Lucid Time!)
I recall some dream about my family staying at this very upscale hotel somewhere in England. The hotel has an odd mixture of very modern and very Victorian feel to it. I was at the swimming pool area, looking around when I decided that I wanted to go into the hot tub. I come over and in the hot tub was supposedly some very important female politician and two secret service agents who wore their sunglasses into the hot tup.
I started to get in, but she said I couldn't. It would cost me $15 for every minute I spent in the hot tub and asked if I had a deal. And I'm like forget that. I turn and leave before she charges me for breathing her air or something.
I am walking, planning on leaving the pool area and going back to my hotel room. Another lady politician who looks a little younger shows up. She tells me that she wants to give me a special deal. For one payment of $14.85, she will let me into the hot tub. But there is this whole other part of the deal like I have to strip down in the naked and go into the main swimming pool or something.
I leave very mad and say "Forget that!". I walk over to the far edge of the pool area, and start looking out the window. The hotel has this huge panoramic window on the pool that looks out over the city. I recall it being nighttime. Then another person that I remembered being a politician comes over. He says he is going to charge me $5 for looking out of his window.
I paused and started ranting about how these people are politicians and they are such Dbags, charging people to use things that are not even theirs.
I get halfway through my rant and become lucid... for some reason.
I immediately slip into drunken lucidity though. I begin hovering above the ground and float over to the hot tub. The first lady is still in it.
"Oh, did you change your mind?"
      "Yes."
I use telekinesis and lift both her and the secret service agents out of the hot tub. I look above and the pool room is actually several stories high. There are a couple of concrete support beams supporting the hotel. I place the three of them on the highest beam with no way to get down and cut the telekinesis.
"When you learn you lesson you can come down from there!"
I then get my cummupins and lose the dream.
I wake up and then fall back asleep.

Ahh that was good lucid revenge.

Some dream about watching documentary talking about how radioactive waste is handled in developing countries. They were talking about how they had to transport it on a dangerous railway through the mountains and used these special weighted train cars that were less likely to tip over.
The doccumentary shows people loading the waste by hand into the train cars. The waste is stored in these large lozenge shaped steel canisters that look a little bit like atomic bombs. Each one is about the size of a person. It takes two people to lift one though. The strange thing is that they are just throwing them into the car.
I then see the train leave the back of the power plant. I notice how wobbly it is on the rails and recall how the cars are weighted on the bottom, so even if they wobble they won't fall over.
The documentary cuts to the actual disposal site. It is in a river. People here dispose of the canisters by hand. Everyone here is strong enough to lift one canister by themselves and they wear full sacks of rice over their bodies to absorb the radiation. They carry them about a quarter mile from the train station to the river, the best people can do it without stopping for a rest. The canisters are put into the river that is later covered with soil and then the river is redirected so that the canisters don't pollute the world with their radioactivity.
They are showing footage of the canisters being lined up in a pile in the river when something truly horrific happens. One of the men begins bleeding horribly, spraying more blood than should have been in his body everywhere from a large wound on his back. Everyone runs screaming and fearful. A similar occurrence happens to several more people. Everybody is thrown into a panic. A few people take out guns and begin firing. The river runs red with blood.
I can recall the people on the documentary focus in on this one woman. I think she was part of the crew filming the documentary. A man with a gun makes her kneel down and then shoots her in the head over and over. At this point, I decide to 'turn off' the documentary.
      ...
Something to do with Clover, or a similar looking monster attacking in England. I think it was the same city that the hotel from the first dream was in.
      ...
Some other stuff happened that I cannot recall. The world is falling into chaos. The shooting at the nuclear waste site and the clover monster were connected to it somehow.
      ...
I recall being at my grandparent's house.
      ...

I am walking with someone late at night. Somehow all of the dreams that I just had were connected. They had to do with the world gradually falling into chaos and darkness.
I think the person I was walking with was Manei. I felt her energy even though I was nonlucid.
I recall seeing someone had hung three dreamcatchers from a chain-link fence. I saw one of them was smoldering. When I looked closer, I saw that the ring had broken and the net inside of it was partially gone.

Do you think during a lucid dream?-broken-dreamcatcher.jpg
At first me and the other dream character were a bit confused and then we suddenly got it. The things that were attacking earth and causing all of the chaos were actually people's nightmares! I turned and looked at a nearby house. I think to myself that if these people will let me sleep in a bed I can have a lucid dream and somehow fighting back.
It was also at this point that I realized that I was actually the main character in some movie that was about how lucid dreamers fought nightmares that were attacking earth. It was a confusing system.
So basically what I had to do was sleep, have a lucid dream and then 'come back' to 'WL' earth while still in the dream. I could then see and fight the nightmares much more clearly. I run into the house and tell the people my crazy plan. The people in the house are a middle aged man and a woman. The man is actually a centaur.

      I wake up.
