    Bandits

    by , 08-29-2013 at 11:33 AM (789 Views)
My father, my sister and I were in our van. (Woa, since when do i have a sister? In the dream my sister and I were grown up but younger than now. I did not really see the sister in the van, but she got mentioned and I just knew she was there.)

Some bandits stopped us, and suggested that my father fight them in an alley, and if he looses the bandits get to rape my sister and me, and if he wins we may go. I thought this was a very bad idea and expressed my concern to my dad. He said "Do not worry, as long as there are only the three bandits, I will win." (?!) My father left the van and started walking toward bandits in the alley. I locked all car doors from the inside. I dialed on my phone "POLICE". A woman answered but I hung up. (?!) I heard a fourth bandit open the trunk (the van had a trunk like a car), and start looking through it. So there were four bandits at least, we had no chance.

And here is where it gets tricky: there are three endings. I think I kind of thought of all three, and saw all three versions?
Ending 1: I saw the bandit number four approach our car to break the window with a huge metal ship anchor, and there was no time for me to do anything.
Ending 2: I called 911 (this time remembered it was 911, and not POLICE).
Ending 3: I jumped into the driver's seat, started the car, and even started driving, knowing I was leaving my father behind, but no choice.

The dream was quite vivid up until ending 1. And I think at that point my mind rebelled that it was not satisfied with that ending, so it flashed the two alternative endings in front of me, as the dream was fading away. Honestly I am not sure whether I was fully asleep for endings 2 and 3 though or whether I was already on my way to waking up.

Fragment: eating the junk eel's head (that's all I recall - no clue what it means.)

So in this dream I am in a car again as I often am in my dreams, but this time I am not a driver and in fact am a child of my father, i am not in control of the situation. Also the rape threat by the bandit is also a stress that I am not in control. It is interesting that my dreaming mind chose to suggest that my father could defeat three bandits by himself: this is a mentality I had as a little kid, where my father was an authority and a protector. Toward the end of the dream I do try to take charge by calling 911 or driving off, but I do seem to find myself in an unpleasant situation in this dream and having trouble with taking charge.

I wonder why I have an invisible sister in this dream. Is it because I feel like I need any support I can get, like I don't want to find myself alone in this situation, but the sister is not really there in the dream because my mind knows I don't have a sister?

      MOVING
I think the sister is a closely related part of you, if that makes sense. Just like a real sister.
I like your ideas of what she means. But you don't see this part, though you are aware of it. So she can indicate another facet of you related to the dream action. So if she means your support, you do not see that well here.
You and her are young in growth, maybe in moving ahead as that seems the dream theme.

      STOPPED
So something stopped you that can take from you or overpower you, if your stronger side does not defeat it. But you thought it a bad idea to confront whatever this was.
But your stronger side side did not worry, knowing as long as there were no more than you - for there were three of you - the fight would be even and you'd win. One baddy for each aspect of you.

      CONFRONTATION
So you confronted the threat, even while you locked yourself up within securely - perhaps this threat was what stopped you moving ahead. You wanted the law, justice, or protection, but because not the stronger you answered (a woman) you could not have it.
So you multiplied the threat - the fourth bandit that tipped the scales out of your favor, sneaking in your hidden vulnerable backway, looking there.

3 ALTERNATE ENDINGS (Press the angle button to switch between all 3 at any time)
So you think of the 3 possible outcomes.
1: The bad could smash your view with a total heavy stop to your movement.
2: You admit the emergency, thereby help could occur in you.
3: You take charge and move on, thinking you have no choice in leaving your stronger side behind.
4: Run them all over! Then pick up ya dad. You forgot 4!!!! Your stronger side defeats the 3, and then there is just one which would become a ghost.

      REBELLION
So your mind rebelled after 1, as you can see why you were not satisfied with that option.
And it might be figuratively fitting you didn't know if you were asleep for 2 and 3 or whether on your way to waking up, in reality.

      CONCLUSION
So maybe your new sis was to do with relating to a new part of yourself regarding your movement ahead, but you saw strong obstacles to that?

Thank you! I like your ideas. They give me new food for thought that is better than that junk eel
