I tried WBTB again, this time earlier, no success

Fragment: this dream took place in an earlier era but I don't know when. There was a prostitute, and she offered her services for free to another woman, who refused. That's all I recall. Though I kind of think there may have been something about family there too.

Full dream:

I was walking down a road with this man who was homeless, and he took on odd jobs such as washing floors at restaurants. He was telling me about this restaurant that he washed the floor for, that he just required that they provide him a mop, which they did. We walked to a restaurant, and the person at the door recognized me, and asked, so are you going to come and pick up those cakes tonight? I said yes. The homeless guy wanted to know whether this is something one can get paid for, picking up cakes. I said that I do not know what this was for, but that he could ask my husband (whom he knew, so I used first name in referring to him).

We passed the restaurant and behind it there was an enclosure with lots of dogs and cats including lots of kittens. The enclosure had a ridiculously low fence, and the kittens kept jumping over it, and I kept putting them back in. The restaurant person came and said that he had heard cats were territorial, and that that may be why they did not want to stay with the other cats. I said that's not it: they are not fighting or upset, they are just curious what's on the other side of the fence, and it is too low. I suggested he distract them with some food, which he kept in a wooden cabinet located in this backyard.
