Dream No. 538 - Escape From A Vicious Cat

I don’t remember how the dream started. From where I do remember, I was in my parents’ bedroom in my old house and my cat was also in there. The cat was gradually getting more and more frequent in attacking me and I was panicking while trying to fend her off. Like usual, when I’m in a predicament, I attempted to call for 18-Volt but no matter how many times I tried, there was no response. Eventually, I thought to myself that there was something else in the dream that was stopping 18-Volt from being able to perceive me and appear, so I went of the bedroom with the cat still attacking me.

I was crying out in distress, “18-Volt! 18-Volt!”, when I came across my mum near the front door. With the cat clawing me and trying to jump me, I was begging to my mum, “please, let me call my dream friend! He’ll take the cat off my back and keep me safe!”. This time, thankfully, my mum wasn’t reluctant and she seemed accepting of the idea of 18-Volt. So I walked around the hallway in a panic with the cat still on me, and continued to call for 18-Volt.

He came out of the parents’ bedroom but he looked absolutely nothing like 18-Volt; still, his energy made me feel completely comfortable and at ease with his presence. He rather looked a lot like Heston from that cooking TV show, having the palest skin, a bald head, wearing black framed see-through glasses and a short sleeve black t-shirt, black jeans and white runners. I thought I was going to get on him but he told me not to; he said to run out of the house and not to let the cat catch up. Once we were far enough, he would pick me up then.

I ran out the front door, trying to keep up with 18-Volt who was already slightly ahead while I was also trying to keep my sights on the cat. Surprisingly, I ended up catching up to 18-Volt sooner than expected and made the daring leap right at the fence. He only noticed at the last minute and so got startled but was still able to catch me; he was actually pleasantly surprised that I got to him so early and he said something like “you’re a good girl” as he cradled me and then stuck me to his body.

As mentioned before, despite 18-Volt’s completely bizarre appearance and Aussie disposition, I was actually quite comfortable on him and ended up resting on him as he continued walking down the footpath. After a short while, he told me he was going to take me around to a few other places. One place I remember was a nice looking town where he carried me past a strip of shops and on the other side was some beautiful scenery on what was a clear sky, sunny day. I leaned my head on his shoulder as I faced towards the road, admiring the scenery as he slowly walked on. The dream then ended.
