Dream No. 257 - Separated Sections

Dream 257 A - The Violent Hippo Encounter (Nightmare!)
I don't remember how the dream started. From where I do remember, it was night time and I was in some area with low levels of water. I saw a raccoon in blue coming in from the distant black rooftops... It was Sly. When he was close enough to me, he hopped off a rooftop and scuttled towards me. He said hello to me and some other short sentence that I don't remember. Then I heard a thud behind me; I turned around to notice it was the fellow hippo Murray.

At first, I thought it was just going to be a friendly encounter... I was wrong. At first, he looked normal but he started raising his voice at me. He said to get away from them and not hurt Sly. I actually tried reasoning with Murray but it didn't seem to work. He turned nasty and said he was going to kill me. Then the most awful thing happened, the dream distorted him and boy did he look ugly! His mask nearly fell off and his eyes went all wild and beady. In addition to that, his teeth turned into those as sharp as a shark and two teeth became millions.

He was now just growling at me with all his new multiple teeth showing. I was in a panic now, constantly telling Murray to stop. No matter what I did, he was inching closer and closer to me. In the meantime, Sly walked past again lifting his blue hat off to me as a friendly gesture. The turtle Bentley was walking beside Sly and gave me a quick enthusiastic wave. While Murray was still tormenting me, Sly kept walking backwards and forwards, trying to offer friendly distractions. I get the idea that the gang really wanted to be friends with me but Murray was in paranoia mode and because I was a little girl to them, he thought that making me his dinner would really made sure I never went back for a second attempt.

Back to the dream; I did see one instance of the police fox Carmelita patrolling the rooftops but it was very brief. Now things were getting bad and Murray was getting scarier and scarier. He was uncomfortably close and just as he was about to open his mouth to stuff me into it; I was forced to wake up.

Dream 257 B - A Change Of Heart
I started off in some unknown area but just like in Dream A, there was a very low level of water where I was; even if it was just a centimetre deep. I turned around and noticed Murray but didn't end up freaking out straight away; he was back to his normal figure. I noticed that he was significantly larger than me, approximately three times as big.

Instead of being freaked out, I just stood there, waiting for him to say something. Eventually, he came up to me and said something like “Hey, I'm sorry about what happened in the last dream. But now that I'm back to normal, the dreams' gotta go back to normal too”. For a moment, I look confused but when I looked down at the water, I realised the place was going to flood and I started panicking. The water shot up so quickly but before I knew it, Murray had grabbed me and I was sitting on his arm, waiting for the dream to do what it was going to do next.

I ended up by myself in some school environment, where all the teachers and fellow classmates had American accents. I don't completely remember what happened in those scenes but I was very confused and gave the teachers and students lessons of my own knowledge. That's all I can remember about that dream.

Dream 257 C - Family In America
I was in some shop with my parents that resembled David Jones but then mention was made that we were in America. In this dream, I seemed to be impressed with all the stock at these shops and I said something like how there isn't near as much on sale in Australia. This scene was very short and soon, we were walked around other shops in this big mall. I was marvelling at all the colourful jewellery I saw through store windows.

The next scene showed that we were on a bus. I forgot the conversation overall but I can remember that it was something about going to another hotel. There was this American woman on the bus that was in our conversation as well. I was relieved that we were staying in a low floor hotel which didn't require the use of lifts. My mum said that we're going to this place called the Grand Hotel and this made me freak out. In the dream, I thought that the Grand Hotel would have gazillions of floors which meant regular use of lifts. That's all I can remember about this dream.
