I think it was about 9am when I had this, it was pretty short but still pretty awesome! I am walking around town aimlessly, looking around at the bright shop displays and colourful fronts. It's quite busy, which is perhaps surprising given the weather - grey and wet, as is custom in the UK. As I am absent-mindedly walking about, I notice that a man has been following me for quite a while. Realising this, I shake him off by taking winding streets and getting away from the city centre. I end up walking up some stone stairs, which lead to a beautiful building whose architecture reminds me of a cathedral. Looking around, I see that I am surrounded by these. By now, the sun is out and warming my skin pleasantly. I take my IPod out and reach for my headphones in my bag. Seeing them, a thought occurs to me; I shouldn't have my headphones seeing as earlier that morning, my best friend had let me know that she had taken them (this was real). This prompts me to lucidity, and I check my hands over to confirm my suspicion. Sure enough, although my left hand is normal, my right hand has an extra finger. I am now completely certain of the fact that I am in a dream, and begin to take in my surroundings properly. I run my hands over the stone buildings, appreciating the texture. Satisfied, I concentrate on my LD goal. (In a particularly striking dream which I had over 3 years ago, I lived in a beautiful villa in the South of Spain. My aim is not only to revisit this villa, but to establish it as my LD HQ.) Closing my eyes, I concentrate on this house as hard as I can, hoping to teleport there. This approach fails however, and so I set out to find a door. I am hoping that if I truly believe that beyond it lies the house, I can use this to get to it. Before I can find a door however, I am woken up. It might be small, but still, success!
Finally, a lucid! This one made me laugh quite a bit after waking up! I run as fast as my legs can carry me down the dazzlingly white corridor. Feeling like my lungs are about to burst, I glance to my right. Satisfied that Hermione is keeping up without too much difficulty, I make no effort to slow down. She says something to me, but I cannot hear her over the sound of the air rushing past my ears. Footsteps. Someone is chasing us. I know that if I trip up, if I get caught, I will die, right here in Hogwarts. Spotting a broom closet, I run towards it, and lock myself in. I smile and take a few moments to catch my breath. I'm in Hogwarts, with Hermione, being chased by none other than her evil twin. Perplexed, I consider this piece of information. Hermione doesn't have a twin. This realisation brings me to lucidity, and my thoughts are teeming with possibilities. After some reflection, I decide to continue on with the dream's plot, not yet having set an LD goal. As if on cue, my pursuer's face appears flattened on the closet door's small glass window. I laugh at the comical sight, before thinking that I need a wand. Excited at the prospect of trying out my dream control skills, I shove my right in my pocket enthusiastically, concentrating entirely on this one thought; 'When I pull out my hand, I will be holding a wand.'. Feeling my fingers grasp a small, thin object, I pull it out, only to see what I am holding. A stick. A fucking stick. Putting it back in, I try again. A pencil. Ugh. As they say, third time's the charm, and finally, I find myself in possession of a beautiful wand. I admire the small intricate carvings on its handle before unlocking the closet door. Confident in my skills, I step outside, ready to face my enemy. *BEEP**BEEP*BEEP**BEEP*BEEP**BEEP*BEEP**BEEP*BEEP* *BEEP*BEEP**BEEP*BEEP**BEEP*BEEP**BEEP*BEEP**BEEP THAT STUPID ALARM. EVERY TIME. EVERY DAMNED TIME.
This entry is going to differ a little from the usual simply because something fairly odd happened to me last night. I've never heard/read of it happening (though I am sure it is a regular occurrence) ,so I'm not certain as to what to call it. In any case, I'm going to describe what took place and maybe someone can shed some light on it I am sitting down at a table, in a café. Looking around me, the colour of the walls strike me as lovely, being a warm and inviting orange. The establishment itself looks very comfortable, typical of the south of France or Spain. The tables were round and white, the floor was marble, with the counter facing the entrance. I was sitting away from it, a little removed from the customers. The happy chatter and laughter, the clatter of cutlery and general bustling of life which emanated from my surroundings just made the sunny afternoon feel even more like summer, and it lulled me gradually to sleep. I had been using the café as a place to study, seeing as it was also where I worked. Now far too tired to carry on, I fold my arms on the table and rest my head upon them. Feeling strangely comfortable, I fall asleep. This is where it gets a bit weird. Before me stands a woman, dressed as Katniss from the Hunger Games. I know it isn't her, but I don't know who she is either. She smiles and beckons to me, telling me to come towards her without actually saying a word. I begin to do so, but stop midway. She frowns as realisation dawns on me. This is a dream! Grinning I congratulate myself on finally becoming lucid. This new found lucidity leads me to thinking the following; This is a dream. Therefore, I know I can manipulate the environment! More determined than ever, I pull myself out of the fake Katniss dream and back into the café dream. I then proceed to pull the fake Katniss out with me, so that we both end up in the café. The issue here is that given the fact that I thought the fake Katniss dream was a dream, I reasoned that the café must be real. I essentially genuinely believed that I had managed to bring my dream character to life through lucidity. What is even weirder is the fact that I was completely unrestrained by any dream plot or narrative. I could do what I wanted. It was definitely a completely different atmosphere to my usual, non lucid dreams. Anyway, throughout the rest of the dream, we chat happily about various things, whilst drinking coffee. I realise that as soon as my attention wanes away from her, fake Katniss begins to disappear. For this reason, I feel compelled to remain with her until the dream ends. Well, there you have it. I still don't fully understand what went on, but it was a lot of fun!
Dream 1 My (ex) fiancé and I are holding hands, shopping around. I just remember being really happy. Dream 2 I'm on the phone with my ex fiancé, telling him that I refuse to marry any other. He sighs, and tells me that we have to move forward and onwards. Tears roll down my face. Didn't like this dream. Not one bit.

I kept waking up and shifting around in my sleep, I was too hot but too drowsy to do anything about it Dream 1 Isabelle's (my best friend) brother's (let's call him Brandon) car, a black corsa, blocked the way out so that his father couldn't leave. Isabelle and I were supposed to be dropped off somewhere by him, and are standing in the corridor, ready to go. Her father grumbles before calling Brandon so that he can move his car. Unfortunately, Brandon is fast asleep upstairs and cannot hear him. The dream ends when his father stomps upstairs to go wake him up. Dream 2 Still at Isabelle's house, we are in her room, joined by her cousin, sister and my grandmother. It is about 8 pm, and we are all getting ready to go out and celebrate (what I have no clue). I'm sitting at her desk, facing the huge ornate mirror which rests on it. She's sitting on her bed, situated behind me. I see her flinch, and ask her what is wrong. She looks at me whilst bringing the index finger of her right hand to eye level. I see blood spurting out fairly abundantly, much like the way a jet of water would bounce off a spoon. Upon closer instruction, I see that the blood is clear, and in fact simply just water. (You'd think that would give me a little hint like, 'psssst this isn't possible, you're dreaming!' but nope). I hand her a band aid which she applies carefully. Following this, she reminds me to bring money with me for ice cream which according to her, cost £7 each. Excited at the prospect of watching fireworks, I smile and stand up, intending to go downstairs. As I open the door, I am greeted with the image of her father dancing along to some hip hopish song in order to entertain some nearby children. This has me in stitches (if you knew her father it would have the same effect on you), and I call Isabelle so that she can witness it herself. We laugh unrestrainedly, giddy and full of joy. PS: Apologies for the abundance of parentheses.
Yes, you read the title right! Let me elaborate. (Throughout this one dream, I woke up maybe 3 times, and managed to pick up where I left off when falling asleep.) I'm in my mother's car; we're driving down the motorway at full speed. I'm not too sure where we're headed, but I don't mind. I've always liked surprises. Watching the trees bordering the road whizz past, I wonder how it had come to be just mom and me, alone again. I hear her say something, which cuts me out of my daze. I can't recall her exact words, but I do know that what she said angered me a great deal. She carries on, her voice getting increasingly loud, and I retort as best I can, letting her know my disagreement. Over the next few minutes, this escalates, and suddenly, I know that I can no longer remain with her. I have to leave. I have to get away, right now, right this minute. The sense of urgency which grips me pushes me to the extreme, and I grasp the door handle, ready to launch myself out. She sees this, and speeds up. I look out my window at the ground, knowing that jumping out now would be too dangerous. A thought occurs to me. Red lights. She's going to have to stop at some point. Although still tense, I wait for the inevitable, hoping that it would come sooner rather than later. Anticipation floods through me as a familiar luminous red dot advances towards us. Readying myself, I grip the handle tighter. The car doesn't slow down, however, but maintains its speed. Just like that, it drives past the light. Closing my eyes in desperation, I resolve to jump out as soon as she slows down even a little. Not even a minute later, knowing that the window of opportunity to escape is about to close, I open the door and launch myself onto the tarmac. Collecting painful bruises and burns from the tumble, I gasp. I am thankful for one thing though; not having been ran over. Running for my life in the opposite direction to the one we had been driving in, I go as fast as my legs can carry me. Occasionally, I crouch behind well placed trees or bushes, somehow hoping that this will help. I have no idea as to where I am, or where I should be going; the only thing on my mind right now is to keep going. Far away, as far as I could go. By this point, I realise that I am being pursued, and that my mother had in fact not been my real mother, but rather an agent posing as her. Distraught, but still driven by fear, I come to a shell petrol station. Figuring that it should be safe, I hide out there for an hour or two and rest a little, before pushing forward once more. Eventually, around the end of the afternoon, I come across a gigantic shopping centre, very modern and luxurious looking. After walking around aimlessly, I spot two women, also looking fairly lost. I make a beeline for them, recognising the look of fear in their eyes. They were being pursued too. After a brief chat, we come up with a plan, albeit a fairly strange one. Aware of the fact that a fashion show for bridal wear is due to occur in the very near future, we figure that we could hide out by posing as models for it. After all agreeing to this, we search for wedding dresses which we can use as disguise. A particular shop draws my attention. Calling the other two, I enter it. The odd thing was the complete lack of staff. No cashier, customers, or anyone for that matter. This was beyond abnormal, particularly for a shop of this calibre. Every which way I look, I can see glass chandeliers, ornate mirrors and glittering ornaments. The entire space bathes in a dim glow, making it seem all the more magical. On one side, near an alcove, was a clothes rail, on which hung at least 20 beautiful wedding dresses. Looking at them, it was clear that each wedding dress had been designed with a particular country or culture in mind. One caught my eye in particular. I couldn't tell you why it did however. I delicately remove it from the rest and set about finding a changing room. A few minutes and some faffing about later, I emerge, and walk carefully to a nearby mirror (somehow the changing rooms didn't have any). My reflection feels not like my own; even my hair and make-up had magically improved. The dress itself resembles a kaftan (traditional Moroccan type of dress), predominantly white with some gold embroidery depicting intricate patterns. I smooth my hands over the material, in an attempt to reassure myself that the gown is real (ironic huh?). Following this, I walk out through a side door, only to be greeted by darkness. I keep walking forward, unsure as to what I would find. Gradually, the wide corridor which I have been walking down lightens a little, meaning that I can finally see my surroundings. On my right and left lie various set pieces, dismantled painted backdrops, broken spotlights and props. My pace slows as I notice a figure. A man, sitting down, haunched slightly, his arms resting on his thighs. Next to him was a small and simple table. As I got closer, he looked up and gasped, his mouth hanging open. His reaction makes me laugh, as I recognise who he is, and remember who I am. Peeta (The hunger games) smiles, stands up, and says; 'You're beautiful Katniss' I can't help but smiling, looking down at myself. A part of me wondered why he had called me by that name, but it was so small that I didn't question it further. He takes my hand, and I remember what today is. Our wedding day. He looks at me, without saying a word. After a minute, he whispers, 'I was thinking...I can disguise Gale to look like me...I know I can pull it off. Everyone will think you're marrying me but...Both you and Gale will know. At least that way, I won't ruin any more of your life.' Behind his words lay a lot of sadness which he had failed to hide. A lump lodged in my throat, I hug him. I already know that I'm going to refuse his offer. I pull back and... *BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP* I wake up with a start, only to immediately fall back to sleep. I see myself back with Peeta, this time knowing that I am in a dream. Excited at the prospect of LDing, I can feel myself smile, and start looking around me, touching what I can see, so as to ground myself within the dream. *BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP* Stupid alarm was on snooze. I was not pleased, and felt annoyed for the rest of the day. I was so close! PS: If you've made it this far down, seriously, congrats!

Dream no 1: I'm at my best friend's house, standing in front of a huge window, watching the neighbour have an unfortunate and uncontrollable bowel movement. I yell in disgust as my friend's two brothers laugh out loud. One points out that the cleaning crew from a nearby supermarket (Tesco) has arrived to clean up the mess. Lovely. Dream no 2: Bill Paxton supplies my best friend and I with various equipment and gadgets, and well as kickass cars. For what purpose, I'm not too sure. I had noticed that if we misplaced or damaged our vehicle, he would provide us with an even better one. To this end, I brutally crashed the car into the wall of our house. Bill, furious, told us that we could now use our own two legs to get to places. For some reason which seemed incredibly logical at the time, me and the best friend (let's call her Isabelle) needed to go camping. This was directly linked to the fact that we no longer owned a car. After having discussed this with her, I went to my bedroom, and picked out the warmest clothes I could find, settling on a black hoodie and combat trousers. I packed a bag, filled it with what I thought I needed, slung it over my shoulder before heading out, closing my bedroom door behind me. Dream no 3: Falling, falling, I hit the ground fairly violently. Standing up, I saw that I remained unhurt, save for the fact that I could no longer see out of my left eye. Panicking, I asked Isabelle's family if something was wrong with me. Upon seeing me, they all started shouting, saying that I needed to be brought to the hospital. I black out, and awake to all of them looking down at me, their faces very close to mine. They carry me to the car, intending to drive me to the hospital. Sidenote: The fact that all these include Isabelle and her family make me wonder if all this wasn't in fact part of one massive dream, and I just forgot the bits that connected. Hmm...I don't know
I'm at work, surrounded by all of my colleagues, and the boss' daughter. We're all planning a sleepover there, and as we're joking around, my hands catch my eye. Six or seven incredibly intricate and detailed snowflakes are etched into my palms. I draw my colleague's attention to this, and we all look in amazement. Suddenly, I decided to go to the bathroom, and find myself walking along a stylish corridor, where abstract art has been hung on the dark grey walls. I turn right and realise I've just entered my living room. Astonished, I spin around, taking in my environment. Knowing this is a dream, but still feeling too much under the dream haze, I perform reality checks I remember reading of in an attempt to clear my mind further. I plug my nose, and am unable to breathe. This prompts me to try another, to see if it works. I picked up a book from a bookcase I have in the living room, and read the title. I look away, look at it again, and the letters are still clear, legible, and remain unchanged. Perplexed, I attempt to push the fingers of my right hand into my left palm, and again, the check fails. However, I am still convinced that I am dreaming (For some reason, the snowflakes did not seem to bother me lol). Determined to prove this to myself and clear the dreams influence from my mind, I head to my bedroom door. Standing in front of it, I imagine a sunset. I figured that if this was a dream, I should open the door and see a sunset. Taking a deep breath, I open the door. My room is as it always was, nothing changed, apart from one of my walls having been turned into one big window. After standing there for about two or three seconds, the sky suddenly starts to change colour, and I witness the sun rise, through my bedroom window. I smile; though it wasn't exactly what I'd imagined, it was close enough. Just as the sun finishes rising, the dream scape darkens, and pulls away from me, leaving me standing in the middle of blackness, before waking up. Definite Progress! Finally!
(Did some SSILD that night, as I hoped it may help me fall asleep) Dream 1: As I listen to the buzzing sound ringing in my ears, I notice it's getting progressively louder, until I realise I am no longer in my bedroom, but surrounded by buildings and people, the sun is brightly shining down and I have to shield my eyes from its blinding rays. A man I had never met before runs past me. For some reason, I particularly recall his brown leather jacket, feeling a very strong urge to reach out and touch it. I hear my mother exclaim she thought he was very attractive, and turn to see her walking beside me. I have no idea how long she had been there, but I proceed to argue with her, saying that he was the most unattractive man I had ever seen. Dream 2: I am running frantically through a thick forest, very aware of the sound my footsteps were making against the ground, and how hurried my breathing is. Little by little, I come to realise that I am not alone, four others are running in the same general direction as I am. Feeling scared and panicking, I quickly realise that I am running away from something. We come across four strangers on very graceful animals, which seem to be a cross between horses and dragons. We beg them to let us ride with them. After some deliberation they agree, and we mount them. I was sitting in front of the rider, on a deep brown animal. I heard the sound of a gun being shot, and simultaneously felt the bullet slice through the air, inches away from my face. I urge the rider to make the animal go faster, before turning around to see around five young men behind us, chasing after us on bikes. Suddenly, we seem to have left the forest and are riding through old barns and stables as well as abandoned houses. I have to lookout for obstructions and warn the rider if I see any. Eventually, we are unable to get anywhere by horse/dragon, and so are forced to walk. The chasers also abandoned their bikes and I can hear them running behind us, rapidly getting closer. In my hurry I trip up some long white, spiraling stairs, convinced that soon I was going to get shot. The fear is so intense I start feeling very sick. Nevertheless I keep going, and eventually emerge onto a very big, white roof. Surrounding it were various other buildings, but this one was by far had the biggest surface. What hit me was how vibrant the colours were. Bright blues and whites, deep, dark reds and bright greens. The four others in what I now knew was my clan, emerge onto the rooftop too. I frantically look for somewhere to hide. Seeing a door, I waste no time in going in, and find myself in a young couple's kitchen. A member of the clan follows me in, and hides just behind the door. I beg the couple not to give our positions away. They agree, and kept quiet as one of the chasers barge in. The man who had hidden behind the door took the opportunity to run out. I had hidden next to the fridge, and was wishing I could somehow flatten myself into the wall. Holding my breath, I silently pray that he won't find me. My heart sinks as he steps out in front of me, holding a gun to my forehead. I feel the blood drain from my face as I recognise his. He and I had been lovers previously, but something (I have no idea what) had forced us to split. (Ironically, he was also the man who had ran past me, with the leather jacket, from the previous dream.) After kissing me quickly, Jake (as I had apparently known him as before) walks out. I take a few seconds to catch my breath, before running out after him. The scenery had changed; suddenly I found myself in a big loft. I notice that the walls are made of wood. I look for Jake, asking anyone there if they had seen him. The chasers are still here, but it seems that my clan and them had managed to come to a truce. After searching frantically, I realise that he has left, and that I was most likely never going to see him again. I sink to the ground, screaming his name and sobbing. The pain and loss I felt was unbearable. I don't think I have ever felt like that in real life. I don't often experience such strong feelings in my dreams, so when I do, it takes me by surprise and leaves me a little breathless lol!
