    Water is the new Blood

    by , 03-19-2015 at 12:40 AM (408 Views)
I kept waking up and shifting around in my sleep, I was too hot but too drowsy to do anything about it

    Dream 1

Isabelle's (my best friend) brother's (let's call him Brandon) car, a black corsa, blocked the way out so that his father couldn't leave. Isabelle and I were supposed to be dropped off somewhere by him, and are standing in the corridor, ready to go. Her father grumbles before calling Brandon so that he can move his car. Unfortunately, Brandon is fast asleep upstairs and cannot hear him. The dream ends when his father stomps upstairs to go wake him up.

    Dream 2

Still at Isabelle's house, we are in her room, joined by her cousin, sister and my grandmother. It is about 8 pm, and we are all getting ready to go out and celebrate (what I have no clue). I'm sitting at her desk, facing the huge ornate mirror which rests on it. She's sitting on her bed, situated behind me. I see her flinch, and ask her what is wrong. She looks at me whilst bringing the index finger of her right hand to eye level. I see blood spurting out fairly abundantly, much like the way a jet of water would bounce off a spoon. Upon closer instruction, I see that the blood is clear, and in fact simply just water. (You'd think that would give me a little hint like, 'psssst this isn't possible, you're dreaming!' but nope). I hand her a band aid which she applies carefully. Following this, she reminds me to bring money with me for ice cream which according to her, cost £7 each. Excited at the prospect of watching fireworks, I smile and stand up, intending to go downstairs. As I open the door, I am greeted with the image of her father dancing along to some hip hopish song in order to entertain some nearby children. This has me in stitches (if you knew her father it would have the same effect on you), and I call Isabelle so that she can witness it herself. We laugh unrestrainedly, giddy and full of joy.

PS: Apologies for the abundance of parentheses.
