Long dream- Friend found and disappears after I embraced her.

    by , 09-17-2017 at 07:37 PM (592 Views)
I emerged into LD in the night... dark environment, countryside, which was only weakly illuminated by the moon. I flew for long time over my birthplace, relishing in the freedom it makes, exploring the dreamscape from the sky. I was wondering how long I would be able to remain conscious.
Then I started to explore houses in the villages going from one to other... why not, it is a dream. I found nobody even if I expected people to sleep or doing something(sleep zombies). Finding nothing interesting I flew again into sky and I took direction to the city.
After long flight(I was slow) I reached the city... again it looked empty. As I flew over train station I noticed a train engine disappearing leaving two wagons on the tracks. I found that intriguing so I flew down. I entered one of the two wagons and second wagon disappeared too. In the wagon, there was maybe 30 people. Wagon transformed into bus. It started to move. I was going from rear part of the bus to forward part. I saw there a flash of panther like pattern, shining in the darkness for a second or two. That made me aware, that there is my friend in the bus, she likes to wear that pattern. So I came to her and conscious that it is a dream I had no problem to embrace her from behind... She looked to me, startled, recognized me and vanished. I was surprised by that too... but what could I do with that? I left the bus on next bus station. Then I flew for a long time around the city and away from it till I disappeared from LD into waking life.

    Remarks
It was a long dream... According to clocks it lasted over 2 hours. I had sharp consciousness through whole experience, but there was nothing interesting... other than meeting the friend.
Second dream where I met her this way(embrace and her disappearance after that).

It is all about concentration. I laid down at about 00:30 and when I emerged from it it was about 2:45. While I can't say exact time of entering it, I can say, that it usually takes about 15 minutes to induce wild or I fall asleep.

I tried concentrating the last night and it turned out to be longer. I will try concentrating again. I think ive been settling for short lucids for too long. Im not comfortable with WILD as much but ill try again with Dild. Thanks~

Congratulation! I had problems with short OBEs and LDs in past and I tried to find help... but only I could help myself. It is very subjective: The same thing may help to one man and be the failure for other one. But concentration is the basis.

What makes you uncomfortable with WILD?
For me it has major advantages-
      1. you go directly from waking life- best control
      2. DILD is chance based, reality checking doesn't function well for me because in dreams I conclude, that I'm not dreaming even if I have strange experiences.
Of course any type of LD is better than none.

Thanks. That's true. I feel more comfortable with DILD cause I can relax more and my chances of getting a LD from a DILD is still good. I don't do reality checks in WL either. Usually after I become aware I can check but I don't do it as much though. My chances of getting a Wild is less since I don't make many attempts.^^" Maybe I'm also not determined enough to practice WILD.

Well, everyone has its own preferred method.
I just wonder, how do you know that you are more relaxed? You are waking to consciousness in a dream after all...

I relax more because I tell myself i'm gonna become lucid,(even though others say "I'm dreaming". Its just something I learned and became a habit) I do this for a bit than start imagining things that make me feel relaxed/happy until I fall asleep. If I was doing WILD I wouldn't be able to imagine the relaxing things and waiting a while for the WILD could frustrate me. There were times when I wasn't frustrated and waited patiently but i remember more impatient moments.hrmm.. I suppose it could also be that I like the non lucid part of the dream and look forward to seeing what my mind comes up with. If I did WILD that part would be missing.

Oh, also I tried concentrating on long lucid again but i ended up having a vivid non lucid dream that had some dream elements to it. : ) There was good and bad parts to it though. I will write it.

OK, I think I have got it.
When I want to go WILD I don't push expectations forward, nor do I feel impatience. It happens or it happens not. I imagine simple moving circles (flight through tunnel) or flash images. I fall asleep often. But I got rewarded by interesting WILD if I don't. The key is patience and kind of indeference to the result.
I go for a result but I'm indeferent if I don't reach it.

If I did that it would probably be easier for me. When I feel like trying it again I will keep in mind I need to be indifferent/patient. It might take time to get use to doing it more though if I choose to continue with wild.I remember having the tunnel jump feeling and seeing the shapes before too. There was also a image of moving mountains which I found pretty cool. :3

I have years and years of practice, don't expect to be successful on the first time. It is easier for me, since it is the same indifference to result I need to have to reach OBE. And I and I have more than 3 decades of training under my belt The only difference is that for WILD I use imagination and for OBE I simply go out of body when spiritual body is free of physical.
You don't need to leave your DILD method for going WILD. Simply use WILD as the second option.
I would like to try something in wild but I forget to experiment with that again and again... (because of focus aimed for stabilization and existence in a dream lucidly). I know how to create energy sphere, concentrate it and so on... but I got an idea to try and create a fairy... First to create small energy sphere in between my palms... I was thinking of sphere as of an egg, full of energy from which something like fairy could be born. It would be interesting to have conversation with such creation. You see, those experiences I have are quite repetitive, and I would like to try something new.

:3 Okay. 3 decades is quite a long time.I didn't really see WILD as imaginative much before tbh. Just random images/ process to get in a ld. But you reminded me how you can incorporate imagination. I tried WILD again last night after waking up from my first dream. It didn't work but It wasn't as demanding as I thought it would be. Create a fairy? Do you mean when your in the moment of going into the WILD? That's a cool idea. You might end up lucid in a forest full of fairies too.yeah, repetitive stuff can get pretty boring. ^^"

Well, meant to create fairy in the dream. I can create energy balls, and to imagine someone born from that energy may function.
What you understood from my message has merit, just my imagination is not that good. Directed imagination is more difficult, than random one... I am able to imagine simple things, but body isn't simple.

O.k. I'm sure it'll come to you if you keep trying though. Could it be that you just over think the details when you try to do it?

Maybe I'm overthinking it just now...
But I believe that it would be more simple to do it while in a dream(inside imagination) where materialization takes part often, than to start dream from start in such specific environment... I simply know my present limits. Maybe in future it will be simple, but not now.
