    The Book - Scarred Wrath

Dreamed after my WBTB. I fell asleep before I could WILD. Dammit...

    Awake Dream

I was in a bed and breakfast, but for some reason it was my house. I knew I was going to be leaving, that someone was coming after me. So I pack some things.

Someone ran up behind and whispers into my ear. "They're here."
I have a good idea who it was... Asher. Still need to ask him why he helps me in times of need. I didn't turn around, but threw more things into the bag.

"Who? What do they want? Me?"

"They want something that belongs to you. I hid it a long time ago."

I spun around, unsure of what to do or say. "What is it? Is it valuble?"

He said nothing, just touched my arm. I gasped as images flashed in my mind. When I looked up he had disappeared. I heard noises. Holy shit they were here...

I ran into the bathroom. It was big. There was a book in here called Scarred Wrath, and it held all sorts of secrets that I was supposed to know. Who knew how long I had until they burst in?

I lifted the lid off of the toilet, but I found nothing. Fuck! Where is it!? I looked around frantically. I glanced up, there was a shelf above the toilet, with a large plastic box sitting on it. I clambered onto the toilet and threw the lid off of the box. The book was tiny, about hand sized. It was a dark navy blue. Where could I hide it?

Calm washed over me. Asher wasn't stupid, now I felt the boundries circling the box. No one except us two could get into this box. I carefully placed the book back into the box, securing the lid. But it had a lasting effect on me, I had some sort of temporary power.

I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. There were several people dressed in black body armour, all motionless, staring at me.

"Get the fuck out of my house before I kill you all. You know I'm capable." They felt the power and were scared, they ran out of the house."

My brother wandered into the room. "What did they want?" He asked.

"They wanted a book. It's called Scarred Wrath and I need to find out more about it." I watched as he pulled out a Pot Noodle and ate it. I checked the ingredients and found out the noodles were apparently made of dust. Sean didn't seem to care.

"Mum might be able to help you with that. I'm sure she researched that book once." He said, stirring his fork through the peas and noodles. It actually looked pretty tasty.

"Mum's an accountant, she wouldn't know anything about that book." I mentally made a goal to ask Asher about the book the next time he returned to save my ass.

"She knows more than you think. She used to be like you, finding out secret stuff that no one else knows. You're powerful, like her."

My head cracked up. How the hell did he know? He laughed through a mouthful of noodles. "What..? You think I didn't know? You're exactly like her. You do your stuff and... I'll do mine." He put down his pot noodle and put his hand on my shoulder. "Stay safe, Korley." Then he left.

The dream skipped, and I was in a hall at school. My mother was there too. I looked over her, not seeing anything unusual. "What do you know about a book called Scarred Wrath?" I asked quietly.

She didn't look surprised at all. "Honey, that book contains all kinds of secrets about the world that are dangerous. You might not be ready to know about them yet. They don't just contain things about life either."

The dream skipped again. I was in the bathroom, sitting on the toilet (just sitting, lol) staring up at the dark smudge that I could see within the box. Am I ready? I wasn't sure, so I just kept on staring.
