Scrap Group 1
Playing a text adventure game. I was making an agreement with someone. The cat then woke me up
Another text adventure game. Some demon lady was talking to me. The event switched from a game to actually occurring 'live', though the two of us still spoke only in text. I mostly just reflected on some other dream I've since forgotten.
Watching gameplay of Capcom vs. SNK 2. One team had Kyosuke, and the other had Yun, I think. Later, I was seated on a sofa in a living room. Stan Smith from American Dad was seated on another couch, as was this black lady. Stan took pity on her, and gave her unwanted help, treating her as a child. Just then, snakes slithered from under the seats. Feeling one creeping on my back startled me awake.
Dream 1 - Handy Possession
The visuals started quite blurred. False awakening in bed.
I was still feeling tired, so I just wanted to get 'back' to sleep. Suddenly, a whole bunch of people were going in and out of the room. I could here the voices of my brother August, my cousin Anna and her family, plus my sister Mary along with her kids and nephew. On occasion, I could glance at a few of them. I tried speaking to them semi-consciously to leave me be, but they didn't listen. I overheard August making concerns about money (something about missing $25). He searched all over, making a bigger commotion than I'd prefer.
Eventually, I figured out how silly this all was, and got aware. It was a great relief to feel this again. My vision, incidentally, got much better. I got up immediately, and ran upstairs to the empty room. The window was open. Which, of course, means flying out. I soar towards a clear blue down. I pass through a forest, then arrive on an open grassfield. Had to rub my hands, as well as compacting myself to a seated position, to keep things stable on occasion.
Next, some tasks. The only one in mind was this month's bonus task. And so, I attempted to transform into a Mister Handy robot. But, no matter how much I concentrated, nothing happened. I scratched my head on the matter, when I saw a trio of similar robots waddling in a pond. Much like the aforementioned robots, these were bulbous chrome-plated legless automatons, though they had only one eyestalk (the center one) instead of three, two arms, and a wheel in place of jet thrusters. I landed near them to observe.
I then got the idea to possess one of the robots, which was surprisingly easy to do. I rolled out of the pond to get a better handle of this form. The arms weren't much different to handle than my own, just significantly scrawnier. I tried activating the lower arms, though only at this point did I realize this robot didn't possess them. Furthermore, I couldn't feel anything below the body. I could sort of feel pressure from the wheel below, but not too much. Didn't quite feel satisfied with this.
The dream collapsed shortly after.
Scrap Group 2
False awakening. Heard the cat meowing to be let out (which was actually happening in IRL). I get up to deal with it. I still felt quite woozy. Another FA. The cat was meowing at my face, though it sounded a lot different. I tried sneering at it to leave me alone, but I was too tired to move. Then I actually woke up.
At work in the restaurant. The place was wider than normal, and quite crowded. August was there. I mentioned we probably weren't getting much tip, despite the traffic. There was some sort of raffle going on.
Dream 2 - Handy Transformation
The visuals were slightly dim and blurred. I was seated at a small eatery. Joonathan and someone else was with me. We were soon given menus by a waitress, an older light-skinned woman with shoulder length auburn hair. The item choices didn't seem all that interesting.
I got up to wash my hands, but found that the bathroom had been boarded up. Turned out the only sink available was on an occupied table across from me. Was really awkward to get stared at by the family there as I cleaned my hands. I had a feeling this would be a serious health code violation, but I just shrugged this off.
Instead of returning to my table, I decided to take a better look around the place. To do so, I started floating around while seated. I turned the corner to a hallway cluttered with a mess of supplies. As I turned back, the waitress confronted me. She was annoyed that I was back there, doubly so because my flying was distracting the customers. I didn't really appreciate her snippy attitude, but no harm,
as her words helped me figure out the dream.
I made my way to the exit. A bunch of people were crowding the door. I tried phasing through the glass walls, but couldn't. So, I had to wait half a minute before I could get the chance to squeeze through the door.
The street outside was an odd but appealing mixture of huge trees and large office buildings, of which almost entirely concealed an afternoon sky. Many kinds of folk were appreciating the view as much as I was. To the right was an especially vast stadium. Looking closer revealed steel frames stretching up to the sky. This made me assume it was a space station.
Thinking of space made me want to get there. I tried blasting off, but found it impossible to float higher than a few meters. As I did so, perspective skewed so that I appeared half of my natural size. It was alarming to see how much larger the passerby's were compared to me.
Unwilling to allow stubbornness compromise the dream, I just moved on to trying the bonus TOTM again. This time, I was able to morph into a Mister Handy without incident. My head, now replaced with an eyestalk, felt smaller, with the stock itself feeling like an especially long, narrow neck. My vision's scope widened a bit, but was otherwise the same. The "torso" was bulbous and rigid, impossible to turn or move on its own. Like in the previous attempt, I had two arms instead of the traditional Mister Handy's additional left and right eyestalks (can't imagine how disorienting that would be). These arms, which ended in claws, were a bit stiff, though they weren't very difficult to control. Below that were the thrusters, its turbines feeling as a faint vibration as I floated around. This time, I actually had three lower arms dangling below me. The left and right ones didn't feel all that different to use from my legs, if thin, uncomfortably spread apart, more flexible, and a bit numb. The center lower arm was... odd. It just felt so out of place. I could only move it with a lot of concentration. I sensed that with practice, it might eventually feel natural. Regardless, I felt completely disturbed about the whole thing. Furthermore, the pincers at the end of these lower arms were completely inaccessible to me.
I spent the next minute casually greeting passerby's, and with Mister Handy's voice, no less. Some dude leaned in very close to inspect me. To my surprise, I automatically responded to such, as if I were programmed to do so.
"Do not interrupt the performers while they're on stage.", I said with a snarky and demanding tone. Didn't really understand the context, but oh well.
The dream faded into a stain, and collapsed shortly after.
