I am on a boat with most of the family I think. It is a passenger boat with seating up top (like the boat we went on in Maui), and seems to be travelling pretty fast. I am holding a very full cup of coffee, somehow balancing and not spilling it. I notice the thin layer of froth on top and think it’s miraculous that it’s not spilling in these conditions. I think we now either pick up speed and/or it becomes very windy, because I’m finding it hard to just stay on the boat without holding on. Finally, I succumb and am tossed over the railing. I think I am able to strongly swim some of the way back, but they’ll have to come back for me.

I am outside, at Frenchman’s. I am on a walk on a small dirt path through a somewhat vegetated hillside (that almost seems familiar from another dream). There is a small creek and a spot where it ponds up around some grey/tan stones and inclined dirt. I stand up on the stones, bracing myself with my hand against a tree. The tree has many branches close together shooting up steeply from the trunk. It’s kind of high and hard to reach and I’m a little unsteady. I am trying to get a good angle for a picture of the view - a peak in the distance surrounded by a hazy sunset of blue and pink. A little bit closer there is an incline with maybe a dozen small waterfalls falling in straight, shimmering veils. I get a picture of just the peak and evening sky and then one including the falls. I now hear some voices nearing. I’m almost self conscious of being in this situation, but then decide to not care. A group of about two passes, and the next two coming up the hill I recognize as Matt and Sara. I’m not really surprised that they are here. We start talking and Matt offers me a beer. I say “if you insist” and am met with a dark 12oz bottle of a German beer. I’m impressed and excited that it’s German. I say “nice”. The bottle has a black label and an off white dragon or other animal. I try it and it is crisp and kind of malty and strong, like an Irish/Scottish style. I think it seems to get stronger with each sip. We continue walking and have now ended up in some larger, multi story house. I think we are the only ones here and that it might be haunted? We explore a little, and it is creepy.

I am in the kitchen at Dad’s house with him, Scottie, and I think one other. The atmosphere seems jovial. Dad and Scottie are making jokes about pregnancy, until I realize that they’re actually easing into the fact that she is pregnant. I’m slightly taken aback, but I guess also happy for them. Their happy expressions look like they won’t be changed by any reaction. I glance at her belly and think she can’t be that far along but maybe it does look larger. I figure that Dad’ll be 70 when the kid is 10 and 80 when it’s 20.

I am in a boat (very similar to if not the same as Dad’s old fishing boat) with 2-3 others. The lake we are on looks like Pyramid, albeit smaller and with a deeper, cleaner blue. The guy driving this boat has short and coarse gingery blond hair and a detached expression on his face as he maneuvers this machine absolutely recklessly. I feel the vibrations from the thin floor as he speeds over the water. I am grossly aware of how close to nothing is separating me from the water and the extent of damage this speed could cause. I bear down as he nears a sizable rock barely protruding from the surface and instead of turning to the right turns towards the shore. The momentum carries us across the sand and up and off a slight incline. This goes on for a while, him recklessly driving the boat, on both land and water.

(fragment) I am outside what I think is Kat’s house. I stand outside the back glass slider door, in swim trunks, dripping wet. Kat opens the door and I say “I’ll need a towel”. She leaves and is gone for longer than I expected. I wonder if how I phrased that was rude and/or if I was supposed to bring my own towel.

I am outside somewhere that seems pretty far from home, but still in the states. The sky is bright blue, streaked by billowy clouds that are moving at an almost impossible, time lapse speed. There is dense, dark green vegetation around and it seems humid out; this makes me think I may be on the east coast. As I walk, a large building comes into view. It looks like a classical style, whether replicated or actually antique I can’t tell. There are two facades, the left one set at about a 20 degree angle from the main one. From the main facade cascades two long, straight staircases parallel with each other. Between them lies a fountain. I start up the stairs, passing a family coming down. I get the impression that this is a tourist site. I also get the impression of an octopus, I think because of how the stairs spill out of the main level? The stairs lead to a sort of open landing. On the ceiling I notice two different tracks of what almost look like fake icicles? running to the back of the room from the center line of each staircase. Though this main room is open to the outside, it is very dim. There are more people in here. There’s also some kind of museum-like display. I look at it, noticing the photographs and placards of text. There’s a wing off to the right that I think was the set of a movie. I want to go explore it, but the lights are all off and not coming on and it’s kind of creepy. It looks like a nice house up here. I now leave and take a few pictures of the building. I think I’m somewhat self conscious of being alone and/or taking pictures.
