    Nightmares

    1. Airman's Nightmare

This nightmare may have just been a result from eating junk food before bedtime, but this is kind of extreme IMO. I've never had a nightmare where I died from a specific injury. Dreams of death have always been something quick where I woke up when I died and didn't feel any pain. So... yeah... here we go...

I was back in my hometown driving alone at night in a bright red sports car (think Supra/3000GT/300ZX). Specifically driving outside a parking garage near an old job.

This parking garage is reoccurring in many of my dreams, and seems to have unlimited levels. If I do get out of this parking garage in my dreams, I'm normally in a red truck without breaks and I roll down a massive hill into a hotel but remain uninjured.
I'm not completely sure what happened, just that I was suddenly in an immense amount of pain. I panicked as I realized the top row of my teeth had been shoved inward and upwards as if something had impaled the roof of my mouth and shoved it into my skull. There wasn't any blood, just a gruesome jumbled bone mess.

I realize I am in a lit room as I am panicking about needing to be rushed to the hospital. My coworkers are around me doing their jobs, oblivious to the fact I am in serious need of medical attention. Strangely, I am not at my normal place of work... I'm in a deployed location (I am military so that's not entirely strange). One girl I'm not necessarily friends with stops and looks at me. She asks me what's wrong, and I reply "I'm dead." She says "That sucks!" with a smile on her face, and continues on her way.

At this point I realize no one is going to help me get to a doctor, and it sinks in that I am dead. I frantically try to get a hold of my husband to let him know that I love him and that I have died. I'm deployed in my dream, and he is normally extremely difficult to get a hold of since he works where he can't get cell signal, so I don't know how to get in touch with him. When I can't figure out how to contact him I start to feel sick to my stomach. I then remember our three children (We don't have children yet) and the sinking feeling gets worse. I begin to cry and worry my family will think I abandoned them.

I look around and see another coworker who is normally extremely quiet sitting at a table. He's quiet and keeping to himself like normal, but he appears translucent. I get the feeling he had died as well. We don't talk normally, so we didn't talk here. I look to the opposite corner of the room and find an older black phone and pick it up. I dial my Dad's place, and can see him and my step mother sitting across from each other talking in my own little "vision cloud." I hear a faint ringing and my Dad answers his phone. I burst into more tears and cry into the phone, "DADDY, I DIED!" I have no idea if he heard me or not, but his expression tells me he may have heard something and wasn't too sure of it himself.

I dropped the phone and couldn't contain it anymore. I was in tears and completely sick to my stomach. I screamed that I wasn't ready to die and woke up.
