    Grandma - 26-07-2013

    by , 07-26-2013 at 04:31 PM (750 Views)
I'm in my house playing with my cats. It's not really my house. I just know it is.
They're playing around like crazy. My youngest cat threw up hairballs everywhere.
Suddenly (don't really know how) I'm in my work place with a friend (N.J.).
We pass by a group of people in circles singing with music sheets, instruments...
We get to an elevator and laugh at them. It's funny.
I get to my desk and go to the Internet to check the Score between Portugal and Spain or Sweden. Not sure which. There's a soccer championship going on.
Suddenly (again) I'm in another place with my mom and.. my grandma..
My Mom is trying to teach my grandma how to use a smart phone. It's not going that well. She's getting impatient.
I check my phone and there's a missing call from my sister's workplace.
Apparently my grandmother was calling everyone without meaning to.
    She's really impatient.

This Dream is so weird for me on so many levels.
My grandma has died 9 years ago.
I dreamed of her several times. She has never spoke one word. Normally she just stands still watching me.
I remember feeling somewhat weird with the whole situation.
Once again it was not enough for me to attain Lucidity. So frustrating.
      I'll throw a party when I do.

It seems that our minds in the dream world never seem to question what takes place, no matter how illogical it is.
Do you do reality checks throughout the day as a back up, just in case the oddness of your dream doesn't snap you into reality?

      I do. Often.
I'm afraid that I'm doing it without really think of it though.
I'm trying to work on self-awareness (Sageus guide on it) but it's really hard and I'm not really sure if I'm doing it right too.

Ah, when I first started doing reality checks, I never really put much thought into them. I didn't question whether I was actually awake when I did them. I had more of a "Well, of course I'm awake, but I have to do these reality checks, so I'll go ahead and do this one," mindset. Which actually led me to doing reality checks in my dreams, but not taking them seriously enough to actually become lucid. Very frustrating.
