    1. Travelling to another planets and becoming lucid during a False Awakening

      by , 03-19-2018 at 08:09 AM
Had some crazy good dreams last night, and for the first time I became lucid using actual logic and also became lucid again in a false awakening!
Also met my Anima again, twice!

      1.
I can't remember exactly how this dream started, but I decided that I was dreaming, spontaneously. I then "woke up", into a false awakening. I immediately became suspicious about whether I was actually awake or not, and did the nose RC. It kind of worked, i could barely breathe through it. I had a look around the room and thought "Right, where am I? How did I get here?" And realised I was probably still dreaming. I looked at my right hand, and watched as my four fingers morphed into five. Definitely dreaming, then.

I ran towards a window and jumped out of it, flying outside. I was in some sort of alien city at night time. The sky was a hazy reddish-purple. There were strange robots and ships in the sky. I moved up or down depending on how I angled my head, but had to flap my arms once or twice to start going back up again.

      2.
I was in some strange hotel-like place. There was a girl there who I started a relationship with. She wanted to meet me outside in half an hour so we could go for a night-time walk in the forest. She went for a shower and I went to my room to brush my teeth. To get there, I had to lift up a slate at the bottom of a wall, and crawl under it through a small crawlspace to get to my room. I began struggling to breathe, and when I got to my room I sadly decided I'd have to cancel meeting the girl outside because I couldn't breathe properly.

      3.
This seems to have followed on from dream 2. I was suddenly on what appeared to be the moon. I had some friends with me along with the girl from dream 2. There were various kinds of spaceships around us. Other people were there, they owned the spaceships.
I became bored as there seemed to be nothing to do here. I started shouting at my companions, asking them why the f*** we got ourselves stranded on some backwater moon. They informed me that it was all my idea, because I was bored with the hotel.
Makes sense. Don't like your hotel? Leave the planet.
I walked off with my "girlfriend", and started talking to her about stuff. I remembered my last dream and became lucid, but decided to just go with the flow because I liked this girl. As we walked, it became clear that only one part of the planet was like "the moon"- we found a small town or city, that I can only describe as looking Japanese. Modern Japanese, very urban but just not Western-looking at all.
I enjoyed talking to the girl and found there was something familiar about her.

I only realised what was so familiar after I woke up. This girl was my "Anima", or inner feminine spirit, however you call it. I realised that in one of my recent lucid dreams, I had summoned her and asked her to start appearing to me in my dreams more often and to help me maintain lucidity.

      3. In this dream, I had a young son- supposedly one year old, but really he acted and looked more like 4 or 5. I didn't realise at the time, but he looked IDENTICAL to how I looked as a toddler, and we got on very well. He listened to everything I had to say and seemed to be in awe of me. I now think that this boy was representing my inner child, a younger version of me that I don't give enough attention to in my adulthood.

I was in a multi-storey building and had a can of beer. I went up the stairs to the top floor. I went into the bathroom there to drink it because there was cameras everywhere else. I held the door shut because I had a feeling something might try to come in. Then suddenly, I was in another building that seemed a bit like the inside of a mall or hotel. I became lucid and did the nose plug RC to confirm. I willed my Anima to appear and she did. I told her that she would be my companion in my next dreams.

I dreamt that I was in some sort of indoor market. I started talking to someone about lucid dreaming, and then realised I was dreaming. I did the nose plug RC to confirm. Then I looked at my fingers- 7 on each hand. I also tried the finger-through-palm RC but it didn't work. I tried to make the ceiling disappear so I could fly outside, and woke up during the effort.

      1. I was talking to someone about the movie Butterfly Effect. I said that apart from the whole time travel thing, the plot was fairly realistic. Someone started arguing with me about it, and I said that Tommy setting fire to Crockett is the sort of thing that happens in real life.

      2. I was in a car with an older man who turned out to be Obi-Wan Kenobi. We were arguing and I said that it's his fault that Darth Maul keeps dragging me out of cars and trying to kill me, because Kenobi failed to kill him on Naboo.

      3. Donald Trump was sitting at a desk next to a politician who was competing with him for the presidency. Trump was much bigger than the other man and appeared to intimidate him. He ridiculed the other man and imitated his facial expressions.

When this dream started off, I was in Labyrinth (from the nosleep horror story on Reddit), in the room with the jackets, spiders and the hidden key. I was bitten on the finger by one of the spiders while looking for the key, and it left a massive hole there. I became scared that the spider had laid eggs inside my finger. I found the key in the next jacket and was teleported outside the room.
I was then talking to my mother in a canyon. We turned around and there was a street behind us. Jack (my 7-year-old brother) was driving a black car back and forth. After a while he went straight past us down the street. I became lucid and flew after him.
The car changed from black to bright green. I landed in front of it and for some reason decided to throw it into a field. I realised that he might get hurt so I flew under it and caught it, setting it down gently. Jack wasn't inside it anymore though, instead there were two men with blue afros.
I decided to go back in time to find Jack.

      1. I was with my granddad in a coastal town and there was "railways" everywhere. They looked like grindrails from Ratchet & Clank. I was planning on somehow riding one to Cape Town.

      2. Two of my friends asked me to put vinegar in their coffee, and then got angry with me when they didn't like how it tasted.

      3. I was with friends and a girlfriend inside a building that seemed to be hosting some sort of convention. I went to the bathroom and my friend Paul was there. A lady asked me if I could fix her camera and I said no.

    7. A lucid dream that left me feeling scared and disturbed..

      by , 11-04-2016 at 02:22 AM
Well, I started this dream inside a dark room. It was very unstable to begin with. I got the feeling that I was dreaming, performed the breathing through the nose RC and that confirmed it. I decided to try looking at my hands at this point, because I had always read about doing this in dreams but never actually done it myself. To my surprise, they were translucent- moving about like made of some silvery blue gas, sort of ghostly looking. I wonder if this is what "astral" hands look like? I have never looked at myself in a dream before...

Well, that did make the dream more stable. I jumped out the window that I saw to my right, and began flying outside, where it was daytime- the dark room makes no sense to be honest. I was observing all the houses and trees in a town that seemed familiar to me in a way I couldn't quite place.

Until I found a large, strange house. Several stories tall but the top half was a spire, or tower, the lower half was a larger, wide house. It had stained glass windows and a double bed lying outside it, which was covered in some sort of net.

I went inside the house and immediately felt that it was abandoned. Something felt wrong. I walked forward, and found nothing of interest until I opened a door and beyond it, found a dog's food bowl... And much further away, at the end of the rather long room, lay a dog, which appeared to be made of stone. It was staring right at me.

The freaky part is, in hindsight, it looked like a statue of a dog. But at the time I thought it was long-dead, abandoned by its owners. I exited this room and closed the door immediately. I felt uneasy.

I found the staircase which went up the tower. The higher I went, the more uneasy and uncormfortable I felt. I had a growing fear that something was in here with me.

The first room i went past was, bizarrely, a bathroom. I did not linger and climbed further, but right before i turned another corner round the staircase (which was like a rectangle from a birds eye view), I was gripped by an intense dread. I was terrified. I did not want to go around that corner or be here anymore, and I woke myself up.

I would like to note that I have never felt fear in a lucid dream in my life before, that I can recall. And I woke up from this feeling disturbed. I definitely don't wish to revisit this dream.

    8. My Dream Goal of nearly four years.. finally accomplished

      by , 07-10-2016 at 10:16 PM
I had three dreams last night, one failed WILD, then a successful WILD (extremely rare for me!) And thirdly, the best of the lot, a DILD (I have not had one in months) the third one was very important to me as I reached a dream goal I've had for nearly four years, and it's the most stable lucid dream I have ever had in my life.

This story begins at around 1 in the morning, after I had slept a few hours and woken up.

First off, I entered sleep paralysis while lying in my bed listening to creepypasta stories on YouTube through my earphones. Now, I know there's some confusion about sleep paralysis, people saying it's the incorrect term and that there's misinformation on these forums about it, but I still call it that. I experience loud static noises in my ears when I realise I'm in SP and either try to move or try to enter a dream.

I attempted the FILD technique at this point, but I was barely able to move my fingers, and I ended up wiggling my toes a little instead. Eventually i managed to sit up but I felt very disoriented, half my face felt paralysed. I still felt like I was in sleep paralysis partially, even though I was actually dreaming at this point. I woke up shortly after this- a false awakening. It doesn't count as a lucid, technically, because I thought I was awake even though I entered it directly, simply because I was still in my room in the dream.
      After this, I was prepared.

Less than twenty minutes later, I was back in sleep paralysis. This time I simply focussed on the hypnagogic imagery and willed myself to enter a dream. The static in my ears came and went, very loudly. I stared forward into the hypnagogic imagery and then, I felt something I have never felt before- I was being lifted off my bed. I felt someone lifting my legs up, turning me over, slowly pulling me off the bed, and then I floated to the floor. I got up off the ground and did the nose RC- Dreaming. In my room. I grinned at my success, and attempted to turn the light on. It didn't work. I remembered that electronics tend not to work in dreams. I was not thinking properly enough to make a light of my own.

At this point, things took a bad turn. I started thinking about how there are often spiders in my room, and I looked about for them, then panicked. I flew straight through the roof of the house, which is comical now that I think about it, and left my destroyed home to begin flying about the night sky, for approximately five seconds. Then I started thinking that spiders might fall from the sky, and I freaked out and woke myself up. I then cursed myself for ruining a lucid dream by forgetting that I had control over it.

Third, I was in a recurring dream, that I didn't realise I had been having a few times recently until last night. I was with a few friends running through a city, pursued by gangsters who had weapons. At the end of the alley we ran down there was two turns, left and right. I knew that one was a dead end and the other was a path to safety, somewhere to hide. As always I followed the friends in front of me to the right, and the one in front swore and shouted that we had gone the wrong way. I turn around and sprint the opposite direction, and just before the gangsters turn the corner behind me, I run up a wall on the right, and vault onto the top of a garage, lying down on its roof while the gangsters run past below. At this point I realised that I was dreaming. This was only ten or so seconds into the dream. I stood up and decided that it was time to finally complete my dream goal that I've had since I first joined this site. To return to the non-lucid dream that I had back in 2012, a few days before I signed up to DreamViews.

In the original dream, I was in a palace of some sort, with unknown companions around me. There was gigantic doors in front of us, open, and all that was there, was water. We were deep under the ocean, and somehow the water could not enter the palace. I have since referred to this place as Poseidon's palace, after the ancient Greek pagan god of the ocean.

I have wanted to revisit this dream for just under four years and I did it in this dream. I willed myself to stand before those doors again, and I was there. I was ecstatic. Gazing into the ocean beyond I saw gigantic sea creatures, hundreds of them, bigger than whales, passing by. I turned around and began to finally explore more of this place. I flew through the hallway in front of me and to my surprise, found myself in a cove- rock, plants, waterfalls, a seemingly totally natural place, that had a sort of presence to it. It reminded me of a scene from Zelda: Twilight Princess. The large waterfall in front of me seemed to me to represent Poseidon himself. I spoke to him in my mind, and he congratulated me for returning at last. I felt that he was going to grant any wishes I asked of him, and answer any questions that I had, and that he also represented my subconscious. So I asked him to give me the ability to lucid dream at will- that when I want to have a lucid dream I will have one, without fail, every time. He told me that my wish is granted. I believe that I have somehow planted it into my subconscious by doing this in this dream, that I will now realise I am dreaming every night.

The dream started to collapse around me as I was told that I am allowed one wish or visit every time I come here. I did not want to wake up, and I began rubbing my hands to stabilise. I no longer felt like i was going to wake up, but the world was a blur of colours around me. I shouted "Stabilise NOW" as I had read to do on these forums, and then screamed "I'd like some f***ing clarity if you wouldn't mind", and then I was immediately in a ridiculously vivid dreamworld, in a village similar to Hobbiton in Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, except inside a forest. There was one out of place large modern house, and someone was staring at me through the blinds. I ran up the wall and punched through the window, grabbing the man, pulling him out and then telling him that I don't tolerate rudeness from Dream Characters, before frisbeeing his body into a tree. I flew around a bit more and landed when I saw a talking badger, reminding me of the Wind in the Willows. He said he's missed me and I said that I missed him too, just to be polite. I have never seen him before.* I got distracted by a large red sign in his garden which had a YouTube link on it. I could read the link perfectly, it remained stable as if it was real.

I heard my phone's alarm going off and had to wake myself up, as it was time to get ready for work.. at half 4 in the morning, because I had a shop to open.

    9. Vivid non-lucid involving omnipresent sunlight and a little bastard spider.

      by , 06-20-2016 at 07:15 PM
This is my first DJ entry in a long, long time, and I've deleted my previous entries. I plan on updating my DJ regularly now.

I had a non lucid, where I was in a forest. There was a spider sort of insect on a waist-high green bush, crawling up and down it erratically. I got the feeling that I was inside some sort of 3d computer graphics program, because I felt like I had clicked a button so to speak, when I "activated" some sort of lighting effect- I mean, I removed the source of sunlight.

I say "I" did this because it felt like I had made it happen somehow, and it was a result of something I had done, although this seems illogical now.

Instead, everything was illuminated, from every angle. There were no shadows anywhere because everything was illuminated equally and not from anything- it just was.

I remember thinking that this disorientates spiders, it was just a sort of gut feeling. The spider did not move at all for about ten seconds, then it flew at me, or jumped, I am not sure. This gave me a fright and woke me up.

I had fallen asleep after listening to the "I thought I ate a spider in my sleep..." creepypasta on YouTube, read by CreepsMcPasta.
