    1. They have an app for that?

by , 07-03-2014 at 06:18 PM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
Standing in a large warehouse, I hear a lot of noises and yelling up on the next floor. Some guy is really angry up there. I look up the stairs just in time to see a Molotov cocktail bounce down the stairs without breaking. My cell phone manages to allow me to create grenades, which I throw up the stairs at the angry guy. I can't see what happens, and then remember the Molotov cocktail seems more like a bomb, with a burning rag as the fuse. As it explodes, the shock wave sends me flying 15 meters through the air, landing face down in a man made river. I lay there disoriented for a bit, until I need to breathe again, and pull myself out.

The dream sort of resets a bit here, and the angry guy is not trying to kill me. We both need to charge my phone so that we can again have access to machine guns, grenades and other weapons. I must have an app that makes all this possible. We are riding in the back of a pickup truck to some place to plug my phone in. Arriving at my back porch in the winter, I plug it into an electrical outlet outside the house and let it charge.

The guy with me runs down the hill to my neighbor's house and starts destroying their yard. He pulls the fence out of the ground, throws it into the yard, and starts digging large holes quite quickly. I run down there to try to mitigate the situation. Holding part of the fence to try to put it back where it goes, my neighbor comes outside, sees me with the fence, next to the chaos, and assumes I am responsible for all of this. Before he gets a chance to say anything to me, a motorist pulls into his driveway, and asks how to get out because there's no room to turn around. My neighbor tells him to turn around in the street. The motorist doesn't listen, and instead turns around in the yard, leaving deep tire tracks that tear up the grass leaving deep ruts behind. My neighbor just gives up on his yard at this point, shaking his head in disappointment with humanity as he goes back inside.

The angry guy, still visibly angry, seems satisfied with the destruction he has caused, and gets back into the pickup truck. I'm standing in the back of it, looking over the cab as we drive off. My friend is driving us, and just as we turn onto a more substantial dirt road, his dog runs under the truck, out the front end of it, and down the road ahead of us much faster than we're driving. Briefly looking back at us over his shoulder, the dog gives us a look as if to say, aren't you coming with me?

The scenery instantly transforms into a cell phone store, where the salesman is talking me into upgrading my phone to a Galaxy or something like that for $35. It takes better pictures, but I don't know if it works like the iPhone in terms of music playback capability, so I hesitate to go for it. I ask the salesman about the app I currently have for explosives and machine guns. He tells me that one is no longer available on these newer phones. I am a bit bummed out about that.
    2. Hit and Run / Attempted Homicide 06/13/2011

      by , 07-13-2011 at 07:47 PM
      8:00 AM

I found myself standing just off the curb of a sidewalk at night. The scenery was pretty vivid especially the lighting from nearby from nearby shops, street lights, stars, and incoming headlights. Just to my left was a lady in a business suit, skirt and black shoes. She was facing away from me. I looked over to my right to see a pair of headlights. They were bright and seemed to be headed for me so I stepped up on the sidewalk next to a sighn. I was about to warn the lady when I realized that the lights were slowing down. As they got closer I figured that the car was just meaning to park on the wrong side of the road. Then I saw the man inside what I now recognized as an old station wagon. He was obviously angry.
He was going slow as he came in behind the lady but then stepped on the gas. The lady flew up on to his hood and they both sped around the corner to my left. I could still see the road they were headed down because it there were no building in the way. The the road they were headed on slopped down slightly. To the left of them and in front of me was a recess where there were pick-nick benches. A fenced railing separated me and the drop so I ran around the way the station wagon had gone. Before I got to the corner I saw the lady roll off, across the road and onto some grass beneath some trees. The station wagon sped away and around the next corner to the left next to (where the police station is in waking life)
I ran down towards the lady and saw that she was in pain but not bleeding externally, The area she landed in was park like. Off to my left was a set of apartment buildings that were just off to the side of the side of the recess with the pick-nick benches. I don't have a cell phone so I decide to ring the first door bell to have them call 911. (I think I was dreaming of this set of apartments earlier.. there were some shady people living here). There were lights on inside but still nobody answered. I rang again. A dog came up behind me(was dreaming about this dog before as well) and started snarling. It eyed my leg as I rang the doorbell for the last time. Still no answer but as i looked back at the dog a girl in scrubs came walking up and fumbling with her keys.
I was glad to see her and said what had happened and to call 911. She looked over my shoulder and pointed at the paramedics. Someone else must have had a cell phone I thought. They had already placed the business woman on a stretcher and were beginning to move her. I went over to report what I had seen. One of the paramedics, Ben, happened to be someone from my old church who actually works for UPS. I told him my story, he didn't seem to care to much but I still felt like things would get taken care of.
    3. A church bell and an aggressive man at the mall

I was walking towards the mall. I was at a small parking lot nearby and had someone with me (likewise to extremely many of my dreams this was a kind of ally/friend that was more in the background). As we were approaching a crossing I saw something above me and looked up. There was a bronze colored church bell hanging there! My friend and I stood there, looking at the church bell which was now tolling. Apparently someone was pulling a rope tied to it, like a bell-ringer. I was amazed and looked up at the bell while listening to it. I felt a strong feeling of liking and appreciation for church bells and their incredible sound. I thought that this was perhaps why I loved Infected Mushroom's "B.P.Empire" so much. However, as I continued looking and listening the whole thing felt rather ominous as if something bad was going to happen. I now sat on the ground and I thought that what if the bell would fall down on me? I was not afraid, but I had a sinister feeling. I jokingly told my friend that "one beautiful day a bell might fall down on me". Then I added a bit exaggeratingly "or an UGLY day!".
I was just going to say that it must be someone strong who could make this bell toll, when I noticed the one pulling the rope only a few meters away. He had a kind of ninja outfit and even his head was covered in black cloth. He had revealed his face for a second, but had quickly put the cloth on again. Nevertheless, I had seen his face. He was a small, young, thin boy with blond hair and round glasses. When he realized he had been discovered he jumped forward, took of the cloth covering his head and stopped in front of me. He had a lot of energy and seemed to want to fight me, but I ignored this and kept walking towards the mall.

After doing some other stuff when walking down to the entrance of the grocery store, I entered it. I felt a bit confused when I was in the beginning of the grocery store and forgot what I had already found in there and what I was now looking for. I held two products in my hands and decided to put them down in my shopping cart before continuing. However, I was not completely sure I had actually brought a shopping cart, but since this one stood next to me and was empty I figured it was mine. I therefore put the products in there, but right after I did that an angry, old man came walking and angrily told me it was his. I felt even more confused and a little embarrassed and removed my things. Instead I thought I could go and get a shopping basket, since I was not going to buy that much stuff. When I was at the piles of shopping baskets, however, the man was still very upset and angry. I said something and he got even more furious. He told me something about where the baskets were and angrily pointed. However, I now noticed that it was extremely dark in the store and I could not see a thing, while the man could apparently see everything. I soon found two light switches next to each other. As I approached them I asked in a loud, sceptical and irritated voice how the hell he could see this well when he was so old, while I could not see a damn thing. I pressed both buttons. It became a little brighter, but not enough. I then saw that the right button was not for lighting up the store, but rather for making the light weaker. I pressed this button again to undo the effect and - lo and behold - the store got just as bright as it normally is! The man had not calmed down, seemed to feel insulted and also appeared to hate me just because of the fact that I was young. He kept saying irritated things and making upset gestures. I did some back and for example poked his arm a little. Each time I did something small like that he did something worse, such as grabbing my wrist rather hard. I got an idea and continued doing and saying little things which apparently made him even more upset. My goal was to make others (for example security) see a really angry and violent man and do something about him. This way he would get what he deserved, I thought. I therefore rather innocently continued, making him even angrier. When he roughly grabbed my arm I screamed "Waaaaaaah! He's attacking me!". Then I woke up.
