Although the lucid portion was shorter than I'd have liked there were two awesome things about this dream: 1) I finally broke my dry spell. 2) I played the part of a bulked-up, ghost-hunting Stephen LaBerge. Who could ask for anything more?

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

Lucid #85: Stephen LaBerge, Ghost Hunter

I am Stephen LaBerge, and I've been hired to investigate an apparently haunted cruise ship. The vessel's owners aren't sure whether the ship is haunted or whether this is all a dream. Therefore they've invited me, Stephen LaBerge, to investigate.

I'm standing outside the ship, waiting to board. The crew shuffles past me on the gangway, leaving the ship empty for me to investigate. I board the ship, and quickly become lost in a maze of hallways. Creepy, whispering voices and strange groans echo through the halls.

I feel wimpy, vulnerable, and way out of my depth. Looking for a place to hide, I duck into one of the ship's bathrooms. Suddenly it occurs to me that I should prove to myself that this isn't all just a dream. I quickly realize
that I am dreaming after all.

The moment that I become lucid, my confidence comes flooding back. I check my look in the mirror, and find that even though I'm still Stephen LaBerge, I'm now enormously, cartoonishly muscular. I'm wearing a dress shirt that looks like it was torn to ribbons when I did my Incredible Hulk transformation. I hit a double biceps pose in the bathroom mirror and smile at the sight of Stephen LaBerge's head on this freaky, bulky body.

Suddenly, one of the stall doors in the bathroom slams shut. I'm still sort of stuck in ghost hunting mode, so this frightens me a bit. I hang onto lucidity, though, muttering to myself that "I'm having a really stable lucid dream..." I walk up to the stall door that slammed shut and kick it right at the latch. It swings wide open and I'm relieved to see that there's nobody in there.

I walk to the next stall in the bathroom and for reasons that I can't remember, I stick my head into this stall to see if there's anything interesting in there. This time, the door slams shut right on my face, striking me in the nose. It doesn't hurt very much but it scares me and makes me stagger back. Just then, a hand caresses the back of my neck and I absolutely freak,
losing lucidity and running out of the bathroom into the halls.

There's a bit of a memory gap here, but I spent a lot of time running lost through the halls and looking out of portholes. I can see the ocean through these portholes but I've lost sight of the docks or any kind of land. During this time, ghosts definitely keep touching me and it definitely keeps wigging me out.

Ultimately I make my way deeper into the ship. I end up in a hot, dark boiler room, engaged in a fistfight with some kind of green-hued stone man that I think is a demon. (He sort of reminds me of Frank Fontaine from the final battle in Bioshock.) We're punching, shouting, and cursing one another. I think of how odd it is that I am Stephen LaBerge fighting a green demon in the boiler room of a cruise ship and
briefly become lucid before the dream ends.

A long stretch of no dreams only to have a dream fragment.

      Wake 9:42 am

Jotted these words down: Bioshock and Big Daddy

Dream(Fragment): Either I am a Big Daddy from Bioshock or I'm controlling one. My point of view was like looking out of a diver's helmet. I'm following around a little sister in Rapture. That's all

      The infected plains:
A really creepy dream about a big piece of land with all kinds of different grounds, at the start of the dream I was seeing a map of the place with different colors for different types of ground (including things like: stone, sand, grass, shallow water, deep water), they were also labelled with numbers from 1-99. I think the 99 meant no human can normally pass through, which I think was assigned to deep water as normally passing through was defined by walking on it.
I was walking around together with someone else, and there were somehow infected humans who had a horribly distorted voice and language, who obviously were dangerous, the higher level infected ones however were able to imitate normal behavior to be able to more easily infect others. A part of me was unaware in the dream immersed, yet I had another part watching and knowing about their infection and the danger. In the end the combination of both sides compelled me to touch an infected cat which then made strange noises and gave me a scratch on the leg which woke me up.

      Spear gun trip:
I was laying out some type of magical traps in this slightly western like looking city (the street however was very sloping and really narrow) and some people started shooting at us (whoever was there with me didn't follow me though), I picked up a bit of ammunition and got my spear gun (Bioshock 2) with some rocket spears ready.
But as I went around the corner the dudes were gone and I found myself in a slightly dark underground complex, there was a sniper (TF2) whom I missed with my first shot, he decided to taunt me and got himself a rocket spear in the face, then 2 scouts came for me from the level below and I immediately hit one of them with a rocket spear, the other one using the stairs to come after me. After a undetailed fight I was searching through my weapons, confused not to find the weapons in the order I'm used to. On slot 2 I found some types of wine of which I used so called Sourwine to attack him and inflict acid damage.

      Strange mission:
I was having a mission together with a companion (a girl slightly younger than me if I recall correctly), through some gestures I send her to get something (a small thing, maybe a key) while I myself was going in the opposite direction. From the green hills I was walking on a short moment ago I come into this dark place where a lot of magicians gather some strange points, they were my enemies and I tried to take them out one by one without getting the attention of the whole bunch.

      1) FA from a dream, and I am hugging my pillow. Roommate has a friend over, a massive white guy with samurai like clothes (tattoos, sumo wrestler may be a better description). As I “wake up”, I turn my right hand and clench my fist. It is difficult to move and tingles, like it is lagging or something… I stand up, RC with my hands and become LUCID. I leave the room, walk down a dark gray hallway to the elevators. (Not like dorm. Like a business style lobby)

When I arrive at the bottom of the elevator, I walk into a Rapture- like setting. Dark, strewn with rubble, and devoid of life. Walking around, I find a sealed door and a restaurant setting, booths with tables. People are sitting there, and they are dressed like the Joker. Each isn’t moving. I shine a light on one, see reddish-pink eyes, and it seems alive.

      -Skip-

I am in a home, what I view as mine. Still LUCID. A mother (or guide) figure is there, and she is talking to me about dreams and the like. I had asked her how to improve dreaming or something of the sort.
“You should allow people to call you.”
“Wait, so has my severing of connections to other people hurt my ability to share dreams?”
      “I don’t know, maybe.”

      -Skip-

“Write down your dreams. They have messages for you that you are missing.”

      Fail.

I remembered to set my WBTB alarm...but I forgot to actually turn it on...so of course I didn't wake up at the appropriate time to make a WILD attempt. Oh well...at least I was able to remember a couple dreams, and this time after I had already gotten up and things were against me remembering them at all!

Dream 1: I was in a mix of Bioshock and Mass Effect. Geth were attacking (I guess I should be giving them more validity as a dream sign if the buggers are going to keep showing up...I haven't even played Mass Effect in a while, but for some reason Geth have been everywhere lately!) and everyone in the facility was defenseless. I was being chased by one of the machines when I dove around a corner and hid behind a pile of crates. The Geth fired at me as I fled, but missed and instead took out one of the crates on the top of the pile. I covered my head as debris and the objects inside the crate came crashing down, but managed to remain silent, so the Geth moved on down the hallway without noticing my hiding place.

Once I had opened my eyes again, I saw what had fallen out of the broken crate: plasmids. I picked up the first one and saw the Electro Bolt symbol on it, then took a deep breath and injected it into my arm. It felt very realistic...and the DNA re-writing process felt weird, too. A rush of body heat, increased clarity of vision...and finally, a lot of little lightning bolts coming from my left hand. Encouraged, I also grabbed an Incinerate and stuck it in my pocket, but didn't inject it.

The Geth that had tried to kill me was still in sight down the hall a ways, so I jumped out of my hiding place and with a yell I let out a bolt of lightning right on the blasted thing. Being mechanical, the electricity instantly shorted out the Geth's hardware and made it fall to the ground, useless.

Unfortunately, I had been a bit too quick to jump out and attack. Now everyone knew where I was, and a million Geth began slowly advancing down the hallway from the opposite direction. I tried to shoot out lightning once again, but this time it only flickered faintly in my hand; I couldn't produce a real bolt. I desperately pulled out the Incinerate plasmid as I backed down the hallway one step at a time. I tried to use pyrokinesis, but I barely generated enough heat to create viscosity in the air.

      "Uh oh."

I turned and ran back for the crates then as a million bullets flew at me. Somehow I managed to reach safety before any of them hit.

"Hypo, hypo, where's an EVE hypo?!" I said to myself as I searched through the other crates.

Finally I found one, stuck it in my arm, and I was able to emit a burst of flames from my hand. I jumped out from hiding and began spraying fire at every Geth I could see. The realism of the fire was awesome; the hallway and Geth were all made of metal, and they appropriately blackened or glowed orange-hot, not to mention the light simply reflected in a very accurate and detailed way.

I woke up sometime around then.

Dream 2: I'm low on time, so I'll have to keep this one short. I was basically seeing a replay of a memory from one of my filming jobs. At first things were accurate, but then the wrong music started to play in the background.

"Wait a minute, that's not right..." I thought to myself. "I didn't choose this music!"

I didn't go lucid, though, I just figured someone else had made a last-minute change. But then other things started being different than they were supposed to be, and I couldn't ignore them as easily.

"This just isn't right! What's going on here?"

Then someone tapped me on the shoulder and told me to get ready, because we would all have to leave in 18 minutes.

I started to head out and get my things together, but I kept an eye over my shoulder, wondering what was going on. Then...SMACK! I ran right into the doorframe because of my carelessness.

I woke up with my nose bleeding...probably coincidence. This isn't the Matrix, after all.

Uncharacteristicly insane dreams from me today. Recall and lucid thinking were pretty bad though. Mostly just sort of semi-lucid but red was the most vivid. I remeber the first dreams as a mish-mash of scenes.

Action At My Aunt's House (dild + deild)

First, I became lucid somehow and I was at my aunt's house. I took off all my clothes which might sound odd but was quite liberating. Maybe even helped with dream control because it reaffirmed I was dreaming. I effortlessly fly into the air but see a TV with a beach on it. Now is my chance to try teleporting and maybe even go surfing. I dive into the TV. I lose all vision but play dead. I re-enter the same dream.

I fly into the air again to confirm I am dreaming and I see a friend. We talk about lucid dreaming and he said we are sharing a dream or someothing. He can see me from the real world and I'm naked. I fall to one knee and yell "What am I doing? Can you see me?" He knows the answer. I contest. You are probably a computer. YOu know the location of my knee on the axies in space.

Another scene forms, my friend turns into a naked women and we just sort of run around eurphoricly like we are in the Garden Da Vida (that is in the bible, right?). Well, I fell on top of this women and things take a turn....but nothing happens because I lose vision but again play dead and re-enter the same dream.

Another scene emerges. I walk down past the house and 4 cop cars come blaring up the drive way. "Finally! Some action!" I yell and my friend is back. WIthout hesitation I throw I huge arching fireball and blow the first car to smithereens. Monsters, not cops, get out of the cars and run at us. I use a vocal yell to use the Insect Swarm from Bioshock (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OE4jjNA89g). I throw bees from my arm at them. At first only a few bees but the second time is a swarm and I even hit my friend by mistake. I drive all the monsters away but the leader. He just slwoly walks towards me with a serious look on his face and I can't stop him. I don't know how. I fly up and over the house into the yard where another scene happens.

There is a guitarist there with a weird wireframe grid on his guitar. He said it is to micro his guitar better. Something happens and I get into a fight with my friend. He charges. "Real world rules only!" The guitarist yells. I uppercut my friend and he gets knocked into outer space. Quite literally.

I wake up into an FA. Final scene, I walk downstairs and see DogW and a dead version of her. I continue into the kitchen where M and my aunt are cooking. There was nother FA where I was talking to my friend about taking notes.

      Juggernaut (non-lucid)

I'll make this vivid dream quick. I am in some sort of warehouse with old high school friends. I was running from a guy that tried to kill me. Poison me or something. This guy tries to sell a big bag of lettuce as weed. When my friends look away, he places some poison weed inside. I tell them about it. "Don't smoke that!". They try to turn it into a cop but he shoots and kills them. This dealer guy pursues me. I sneak around the warehouse and hope over stone walls.

I see this huge 8 foot 500 pound guy running through the stone walls. I cower int he corner hoping he doesn't see me. He is being pursued as well. "Turn yourself into these guys." he tells me. "Yeah. Ok. Anything. You just keep going." Vomit-like pours from his mouth. He turns and runs. Turns to me one last time and the vomit is gone. He smiles.

I like to think I recruited this man as my dream team ally. He is the tank, obviously.
