    1. Lucid: Do You Really Want to Mess with Me in My Own Dream?

      by , 12-24-2013 at 09:48 AM
12-19-2013 -- [Sleeping poorly, kept waking up, but I think eventually I was only dreaming I was waking up. Weird stuff. Lucid. Sex, rape, and violence ahead.] I am driving along in Joe's SUV when somehow the power steering goes out, but it is really strange and kind of intermittent. I think I am trying to do some sort of mystery shop or something, though I am not really sure. Anyway the steering is almost impossible at one slow speed, and then works fine at another speed just slightly slower or slightly faster, and I am trying to get the perfect speed so that I can actually manage to drive the car. I think there is a tiny bit about talking to my sister (maybe), or perhaps not. The first bits are rather choppy, as again, I think I am drifting in and out of sleep. Maybe.

I find myself at a hotel, and I seem to be kind of changing out beer barrel-like bottles of soda syrup for the fountain drinks, and as part of a mystery shop am somehow taking one of the large barrels and trying to load it into the bike with a basket that the car has turned in to. I manage to get it into the basket, and am trying to get the bike lined up so that I can try to drive out of here, when a couple of crazy (but kind of attractive) Oriental women come driving up in their car. I am somehow several yards away from my bike, all of a sudden, walking toward it, when they start to back up right into where the bike is sitting. I'm calling out "No!" and they are winking and smirking at me, making sure that I know that they know exactly what they are doing. They crush and mangle the bike between their car and the wall, and I am suddenly furious. Thing is, I know I am dreaming, but I am furious that they are intentionally messing with me.

      Spoiler for sex and rape:

I am just about done anyway, when this rough looking character seems to want to come to their aid. I can tell that he is a thief, so I decide to get a little more revenge by letting him know that the two women (who are staying in the hotel) have something very valuable in their suite. So he leaves them and starts upstairs, to break into the suite. Meanwhile I just fly up the side of the building, sneak in the window, and grab whatever the valuable is, not only stealing it, but framing the thief in the process. Mess with me in my dream, will you? I'm casually making my way out the window when the thief triggers an alarm or something, and he comes rushing to the window. He throws himself out, using some kind of harness or parachute to slow his descent, and as he leaps, he spots me and realizes he has been set up.

I have no harness, parachute or gadgets, but I don't need any ... its my dream! I fly down several stories, and fly into a parking garage, mostly under control, just slightly wild, and almost knock over a couple walking through the garage. I am not 100% sure, but they look like they are probably Rose and Mickey from Doctor Who. Meanwhile, police cars are screaming into the area to check on the alarm, and Rose and Mickey realize they are in the wrong place at the wrong time. They duck behind a car as a police car drives by, swinging it's search light into the parking garage. (At this point I notice that the front of the police car is slightly crumpled, like it has been in an accident, though this fact has no affect on the dream.) I turn myself invisible before the cop can see me, but Mickey is getting more and more nervous, and suddenly makes a break for it, making himself look horribly guilty, and attracting the attention of all the police.

He is quickly caught, and he has no reason to try and protect me, so he explains about the guy who flew out of the hotel and into the parking garage, and then turned invisible. The cop is kind of skeptical, but glancing around the area, as I try to shift away from him, it seems he can catch glimpses of my movement out of the corner of his eye. He suddenly calls out to all the other police that he caught a glimpse of one of "them", someone with some sort of power who turned themselves invisible. Suddenly I am backing up from a bunch of cops reaching out and grabbing for my invisible figure in a scene very reminiscent of Harry Potter backing away from Filch and Snape in the first movie. Suddenly there are six or seven cops, male and female, plain-clothes and in uniform, all chasing me. They can't see me, except a brief flicker in the corner of the eye, but that's enough to keep them crowding ever closer. A couple of them are blindfolded, to enhance their other senses, and one of them seems to be a strange whip-creature, flailing long, thin tentacles at me, trying to score a touch which I somehow know might poison me, and things are getting tighter and tighter.

I make a break for it, and try to fly out of the structure, but somehow they have been getting ready for me, and there are strong, but thin, nearly invisible wires strung everywhere that I trigger and have to punch my way through to get out of the parking garage, and when I do, that drops a strong, heavy net on me. By this time, I have had enough. I turn visible as I tear apart the net, and am soon surrounded by the cops. I start to warn them off. "This is a dream. It is my dream. I am all-powerful in it." I point to one guy. "Your pants are going to fall!" Suddenly his pants are around his ankles. I point at another. "You're about to trip." He flops over backward onto his butt. "Sorry for this!" I point at another one and transform him into some sort of furry animal, perhaps a weasel. I can clearly remember another lucid dream I once had, where it was starting to turn into a nightmare (can be read here) and explain to the cops that I could conjure up a full-blown nuke and blow the entire dreamscape to kingdom come. "Do you really want to mess with me?!?" Most of the cops start backing off, but one big black cop (when I wrote the dream down, I knew specifically who he looked like, but didn't write it down, and now it is gone) is stupidly brave or an absolute idiot, and grabs me, so I tell him he is going to fall down and his stomach is going to explode. The others are seriously backing off now, but not quick enough to avoid being lightly coated with bits of blood and skin as his belly explodes over everyone.

I start to fly off, but everybody who has been in the area is now convinced I am a god, and I am surrounded by people calling out for me to do things for them. Some are nothing more than greedy, selfish users who just want wealth and valuables, but many others are desperate, homeless, or horribly sick or injured. The ones who are truly in need, I feel for, but I am not god, I am just dreaming. I am only limited by what I can conceive of, but the mass of people calling out for help are large enough that it is more than I can conceive of. I land in a convertible next to a slim, attractive blonde woman, and I pull aside her top and start playing with her nipples, but neither of us are really into it. I just can't stop thinking about all these hurting people.

Meanwhile, I spot another thin woman who is not so attractive, and is very hillbilly-ish. She seems to be a cross between the wife of the farmer who gets turned into the 'Edgar suit' in the first Men in Black movie and Cletus's wife on the Simpsons, and she is calling out for help for her husband, who cannot leave their car. I glance over at him, and he has a cheap mechanical heart made from a gallon milk jug, sitting in an almost non-existent torso, and is obviously in bad shape. This is at least somewhat beyond me, but I lay hands on him and start to pray for him, hoping I have enough faith to do some good. Thankfully new skin starts to grow around his torso, and I seem to have managed to bring forth some serious healing for him. One of their kids is a teenage daughter who no longer believes in anything at all, and I am trying to figure out some way to help her, but that one is going to take some thinking. They have a slightly younger son who is a little pudgy, and reminds me a bit of Pugsley from the Addams Family, who is working on some sort of school assignment, and is trying to make either a sword or a musical instrument (which it is changes moment to moment) from a bit of scrap, and I move over to him to start doing something.

The mom is trying to stop me, not wanting me to do it for him, as she wants him to get whatever grade he earns, and learn from the experiment. Instead she calls out for me to just make him some candy or something. But she doesn't realize what I am doing. I am not making whatever it is for him, I am just changing the scrap he is working with into a very fine and valuable piece of lumber so that if he does fine enough work with it, the finished product may be worth a lot of money. Leaving him to do the work, but greatly increasing the potential value of that work. As soon as I finish that, I wave my hand and the candy the mother asked for rains down on both children.
    2. Freeway Problems and the Lauderdale Accident

      by , 11-13-2013 at 07:53 PM
11-10-2013 -- Driving in an area that is a cross between Downtown Orlando and I-5 in California. It is one of the dreams in the busy freeways / construction zones category that I often have. I was heading north for a few minutes, approaching Downtown Orlando, then turned around and found myself heading South, just to find I was on I-5, approaching the Anaheim Plaza exit. There is a train track running parallel to the freeway, and I am somehow pointing out places where the tracks would switch, and theorizing on how the switchings would affect freeway traffic. (Since they are parallel, but unconnected, in real life it would have no effect, but this is a dream, after all.)

I wave to a cop on the freeway shoulder who is a friend, and am listening to Z88.3 on the radio. Soon I continue on the road, and I-5 has turned back into I-4, and then (as I am still heading south and I-4 runs more east/west) find myself on the Turnpike, instead. I am heading far south, though I am not sure if I am doing mystery shopping or delivery work. Soon I find myself down at an automotive shop next to a gas station around Fort Lauderdale or so. I am puttering around this seemingly abandoned shop, and come across a bag of some kind of chemical that is used in repairing cars, and since it just seems to be sitting there, I stick it in my backpack.

I wander around a little bit, and find myself on a slight hill, looking at a short (about four feet tall) fence separating me from a gas station with another auto shop as a part of it. It is a station where I have often been in dreams before, and I have also had work done there before on my scooter. I try to climb over the short fence, though my knee is giving me troubles, and I also get a little too close to a kid in a red baseball cap, which seems to make the adults in the area (his parents?) a little nervous. But I ignore them and move on. As I approach the gas station, I find out that they are working on my scooter once again, and are warning me that they probably won't have it ready until tomorrow. I have no money, and no other transportation, and I'm thinking to myself that I guess I will be spending the night sleeping in their parking lot. The guy then tells me "And you can't stay here!" Darn! But on the other hand, my car (yes, it is now a car) is ready.

I guess I am half driving it to the payment counter, and half making a delivery, because I pull up to a spot that is not a parking space (like the diagonal white lines that aren't a parking space, but mark off extra space next to a handicapped spot) because I am only going to be here for a moment, either making the payment, or making a delivery, but the guy goes nuts, and tells me I am not going to park there, even for a moment, and he doesn't like my attitude, and they probably won't use our services any more because of this! He's really mad, and it is ridiculous overkill. For some reason, Graham Murphy is standing there, and is agreeing with him, and I'm figuring I guess Graham isn't really a friend.

I say I will move the car, and am walking toward it, but the guy won't allow me to. He is now searching through my backpack, and finds the bag of chemicals, and claims it is his, and is now after me for stealing, as well. Graham, meanwhile, has taken my car keys, and is moving my car, himself. I call out to him and tell him that he doesn't have my permission to do so, and he just took my keys, so it could be considered grand theft auto. Not going to have him charged, of course, I'm just saying .... Finally, I have had enough, so I push past the guy and make my way to my vehicle, which now seems to be a cross between an ice cream truck and a Mears handicap van. Graham is sitting in it, I guess I am driving him back to Orlando. The kid in the baseball cap is also here, and is asking me for a ride to where he is going, which is a bit north, probably around the West Palm Beach area. Graham explains he isn't really against me, he was agreeing with the jerk because he didn't want an argument, and was just trying to get us out of there quicker. How do I get into these things?

So I am heading north on the Turnpike, until I suddenly find myself driving in a mall parking lot, wondering how the heck I got here, and why I am here ... I should still be on the Turnpike until West Palm Beach. I drive to the edge of the parking lot and turn on to the street. I am approaching the light, and right on the other side of the light is the entrance to the Turnpike. Problem is, the light turns red. I put on the brakes, but they are kind of soft, and I come much closer to the car stopped right in front of me than I would like ... on the other hand, I do manage to stop on time, so it's all good. Problem is, the car that is in the next lane over. It is also trying to stop, and going too fast, and in trying to stop, it clips the car in front of me, and sends it into a spin, and while it is spinning, it hits me. Graham gives out a curse, angry about more delays. So we have a three car fender bender, that was in no way my fault.

I get out of the van, and am getting out my digital camera to snap some pictures of what happened, but Graham immediately begins to drive the van through the intersection and out of traffic. What was the entrance to the Turnpike is now a small, out-of-the-way cul de sac. Now understand, I planned to move us out of the way, but wanted to get a few pictures, first, to help make it clearer what had happened. So now the three damaged cars are all sitting in this little cul de sac, and I am taking pictures while waiting for the cops to show up. Another guy tells me not to bother, because he is taking video footage of the whole thing, but I still plan on taking my own pictures. One of the cars contained a lady and a kid, and they are leaning against their car (I think the one that got clipped) and there is an elderly couple who were in the car that started the whole thing.

I glance back at the intersection, and find that there has been another accident, and this one is really bad. There are some severely mangled vehicles, and I can see them stuffing bodies in body bags as cops direct traffic, and fire trucks and ambulances drive off. I tell the people around me that it may be a while before the cops can get to us, but remind them at least none of us got hurt. Meanwhile, the side of my van shows an advertisement for coffee machines and supplies, and there is a lady standing there that wants me to come in to her place of work an install a coffee machine right now. I'm wondering about a company that does both courier work and coffee services in the same truck, and trying to explain I am not a part of the coffee side of the business.
    3. Nobody Picks on MY Little Brother

      by , 11-07-2013 at 08:33 PM
10-14-2013 -- I am at what starts out as the Hickory house, but soon turns into a cross between the Hickory house and the place on Chipola. I'm heading out to drive somewhere for work, either a mystery shop or perhaps a security shift, but my car isn't in the driveway, and I am not really sure why. I'm worried it has been stolen again, but it turns out someone or something pushed it aside. It is sitting in the neighbor's yard, somewhat damaged, with a wheel missing. Seems there is no way I can head off to work now. I'm a bit depressed, and am kind of whining "Why me?", tired of all the problems with my car. Somebody (perhaps mom) tells me to quit whining, and says Don Dunn is working on the car for me. Huh? I saw it just sitting there in the neighbor's yard ... how does Don Dunn have it? Perhaps he has a different junk car of mine.

Anyway, I can't go to work, so I decide to go inside and get some sleep. I head in, and the house turns to a cross between the Hickory house and the Chipola house. I stroll into what would be mom's room at Hickory, but is mine at Chipola, and go to sleep. It's the middle of the night when I hear a noise and wake up. There are a bunch of bad guys coming for me, and the first time through I find that I am quite scared. I am walking through the hallways in the house in the dark, hiding from them, and trying to keep away from them. But oddly, it is almost like I fall back asleep and wake up again. There are still bad guys in the house, but this time I am angry, rather than scared, and I am stalking them.

All the lights are off, and they are stumbling around in the dark, but I know the house a lot better, and am able to be stealthy. I manage to take them out one by one. Accidentally break one guy's neck, but they are attacking me at home and I don't feel very bad about it. Soon we are dodging around the two doors in Keith's room, and I have managed to grab most of them and throw them out the front door, but I'm pretty sure they'll be back. Soon I start walking through the whole house, turning out the lights they turned on, so if they do come back I'll have an easier time finding them, by looking for the lights they turn on again.

Then I find out the light is on in Melody's room, though they never got that far, and I start to get a little worried. I open the door and find Melody sleeping in her bed. I didn't realize she was home, and she didn't hear anything, just slept right through it, though she is starting to wake, now. Meanwhile, all the thugs are coming back, and are trying to lure me outside. We're in the living room, and I am about to give them a good thrashing, when the leader pulls a gun on me!

Melody takes him out from behind with an amazing roundhouse kick that he never saw coming, and says nobody is allowed to pick on her little brother! The bad guys all go running out of the house (I guess two of us are just too much to bother with.) Soon Melody and I are standing in the living room while she works at cleaning out the fish tank. I say I thought that was 20 years ago, when I still had my fish, and that after the last one died, nobody would be bothering with the tank anymore. She explains that she took it over, and for years has been keeping strange lime green alien fish in it.
    4. The Restaurant and the Impound Yard

      by , 09-11-2013 at 02:23 PM
09-11-2013 -- Can't remember too much of the earlier parts of this, but I find myself down in the Lauderdale/Hollywood part of Florida, probably doing some mystery shops. I am tired, hungry, depressed, and I don't have much money. I think I need to find somewhere to sleep for the night and continue with the shops in the morning (happened frequently when I had a lot of shops in the Miami area, back when I had gas stations, banks, restaurants, and Kinko's locations all on the same trip) but I just don't have the money for it, and nobody seems to want to help me in any way.

Finally I end up sitting in a restaurant, eating a meal, half falling asleep, and there is a bartender who is bringing me a huge bottle of whiskey, and seems worried I am going to get drunk or something with it. He shouldn't worry, as the shots I am pouring are very small. But I am just feeling very down and put upon.

Soon I've stopped with the boozing and walked out of the place with a friend, and it might have been Keith, though I am not completely sure. The area is kind of a cross between the dog track in the Hollywood/Lauderdale area (which I know from doing gas stations and other mystery shops in the area) and the parking lot at (and across from) Pleasure Island.

We're wandering, going somewhere that Keith has promised to lead me, and soon, even though I am still walking on pavement, it is kind of half walking in a shallow body of water, and a decent sized motor boat is near us, and we are trying to get close enough to climb into it, and Keith has arranged for a little sailing. The funny thing is, the person running the boat seems to be Brian Keith (Parent Trap, Hardcastle and McCormick) who I just watched about a week ago dressed as Sherlock Holmes in a couple of episodes of Murder, She Wrote.

So we go for a small sail, which in dream time only lasts a minute or two, but probably represents an hour or two. Then we're dumped back in the parking lot. Keith has things to do, and is getting ready to leave, Brian Keith is heading off, and I am being just kind of dumped, still no money, nowhere to go, and I finally give up, nobody wants to spend a lot of time with me, or help me out too much, and I figure I should just get in my car and head back to Orlando. So I start walking through the parking lot, trying to remember where I parked, and even what I am driving.

So I keep looking for my car, and cross the street in what seems to be the overflow parking, and I can vaguely remember I may have parked here ... but I look around the section of the parking lot where I think I would have parked, and can't find any car that feels like mine. Of course, since I only got the car about two days ago, and parked it there yesterday, I can't quite remember what kind or color of car it is, anyway.

So I keep stumbling around, slightly tired, trying to find my car, when I start to notice the no parking warnings, and I begin to think there may be a good reason why I can't find it. As I look around, I find that this seeming 'overflow' parking is actually located in the parking lot of a police station or possibly a jail, and I see some cops talking, so decide to go speak to them and try to find out if my car might have been towed.

I reach where the three cops are talking and joking at a sort of podium, but they largely ignore me, so I keep trying to speak and get their attention. But they are kind of loud and boisterous, and I have almost no voice, so it takes a while for them to notice me. Then two of them walk off, leaving me talking to a female cop with wild blondish hair (think a slightly heavier Alex Kingston) to speak to me. I ask about finding out if my car has been towed, and she says she'll check, and wanders off for a fair amount of time.

She eventually comes back and tells me that, yes, my car has been towed and impounded. It is inside their facility, and I will have to go inside and pay a ticket or fine before I can get it back. Unfortunately she indicates that the entrance is on the other side of the building. I am on the northern end of the east side of the building, and I cannot tell from what she is saying if the entrance is on the south side or the west side, but I am hoping it is the south side, since it is a large building.

So I start walking around the building. The part I started at was kind of like a small loading dock, and I walk a fair distance to reach the south side of the building, and though I find emergency exits and the like, I cannot find an official entrance, so I have to keep going to the west side. But as I reach the southwest corner, I find all kinds of traffic control devices in use. Gates that seem like railroad crossing gates, which drop down at high speed if you try to walk through the areas and don't belong there, and at least one steel mesh gate (think roll-up gate at a mall store) that comes down with great speed and could minorly crush someone.

I'm almost running around trying to dodge these things, and not wanting to be forced to walk a long way around to get out of the parking lot and onto a side walk to bypass them, as it would mean a lot more walking, and I'm a big guy who is already getting kind of tired. But luckily I find one set of the crossing bars that are kind of short, and there is a gap of perhaps five feet between two of them, which is more than large enough for me to make it through, so I continue on walking through a very large warehouse-like loading dock area with many big rigs, and continue on until I find the entrance to the facility on the west side.

I walk up to speak to a few cops at the entrance, and explain they have my car, and a bit about my situation (including having enough money to get gas back to Orlando or pay a small fine, but probably not both, and one of them takes pity on me, and tells me he can help me get my car back, and he'll make sure I can afford it. Unfortunately, he leads me all the way around the north side of the building, and then the east side on the outside of the wall, so I not only have to walk the entire east side outside the wall, but then have to walk almost the entire east side again, inside the outer wall, to reach the point I started from.

But things have changed a bit since the last time I was here, and now, rather than being just a big, open parking area, it is more fenced in, with more of those dropping gates and train crossing-type gates, and I find myself at a place where I am kind of climbing out on a ledge, wrapping my arms around a pillar and trying to find my footing around it. The cop just walks past me and opens a door, not risking life and limb, and I look at him and say something like "even better." I swing back around the pillar and start to step through the doorway when I wake up.
    5. Spidey Fights Doctor Octopus at the Golden Horseshoe

      by , 07-14-2013 at 03:52 AM
07-12-2013 -- Before I lose it, guess I ought to get this one down. I am trying to make left hand turns at busy intersections while on roller skates, I think, and there is a lot of heavy traffic, which is making it difficult. I am doing my best to be quick, and stay out of the way of cars, and move quickly, but while I am doing so, there are others (on skates or boards, or just pedestrians) that are getting in the way or moving a lot slower, or doing whatever else they can to make things more difficult.

I am reaching a couple of intersections like that, and the second one is turning off of Beach Blvd and on to La Palma, heading over toward the Buena Park Mall, and the pedestrians are still getting in the way, and holding things up when the light turns green, but I do my best to ignore everybody else, and just get moving, so I won't be in the way. So I turn on to La Palma, skating as fast as I can, but as I proceed down the block to Stanton, I am now driving the Jimmy, but I find I have a flat tire. It is the front driver's side tire, and I just had it replaced two days ago, so I find myself getting furious that the tire is bad again, already.

So I am pulling the car over, and I suddenly find myself reading a comic book. It is a Spider-Man comic book, and I find that Spider-Man is facing off against Doctor Octopus, and moment by moment the comic is coming more and more to life, and I am turning into Spider-Man, but I only have part of my powers, and Octopus is at his strongest, so I am trying to stay out of sight and catch my breath.

Meanwhile, I am running down the street in a sort of old west type of setting, and I run into this saloon, and find myself running up a slightly curving staircase as I glance over at a stage, and I realize I know this place. I am running through the Golden Horseshoe, even though I am not at Disney. It is not that it is really somehow the Golden Horseshoe, but that the comic book artist copied the building, changed the name, and threw the story in there as a sort of tribute. [It was like an issue of the comic Night Man, which had a running battle taking place in a fictional amusement park ... but if you really know Disneyland, you recognize the ramp leading up to the Space Mountain line.]

Anyway, I soon find myself dodging around back stage behind this Golden Horseshoe look-alike location, trying to stay out of sight and out of mind while thinking up a method of fighting off Doc Ock that will allow me to win. I feel like I need to pull off one of those victories where Spidey tells Ock "You were at your strongest, and I was at my weakest, and I still beat you. I will always beat you. So quit fighting against me!" But I just don't know how I am going to manage it. Meanwhile, Octopus is starting to threaten some of the can-can girls, and I realize that, plan or not, I am going to have to make a stand. So I launch myself at Ock and just start fighting away!
    6. Mystery Shopping and Toll Problems (With Aliens)

      by , 08-29-2012 at 05:32 PM
08-16-2012 -- [Three dreams from this night, since I have entered one, I am going to enter all three. Though this one I may not have woken well enough to fully write down, because I can't make the greatest of sense out of it.]

There are hints of the Doctor and Amy Pond, though I can't remember any actual details with them (guess what I watched 6 episodes of, right before going to sleep?) I seem to be doing some kind of mystery shopping rounds that involve aliens that are swelling up like some odd sort of balloons. I have to take them to two specific places, and then they start to deflate and become safe.

These two places, one is a fair distance to the north, the second is a fair bit to the south, and it overall feels like some of the BankAtlantic bank routes that I still dream of mystery shopping. Soon I choose a new second stop, one that is to the south, but much closer. Because I had been going much further south, after I make my second stop I head further south, rather than north, like I should have, and I soon find myself looking for a place to turn around.

I try to turn around at a toll road on-ramp, and though I have not passed through the toll booth or gotten on the toll road, they charge me a $3 toll anyway. I am upset about this. The toll collector looks like the head vampire from the Doctor Who episode the Vampires of Venice, and she is listening to the radio which seems to be playing Randy Stonehill's "Who Will Save the Children" which she doesn't like because she doesn't like any music from the 70s.

I go back to my car and try to turn around, and unfortunately I hit the curb. This really badly mangles both of my back tires, but they are holding together and still somehow retaining their air, so I drive off. It is Sunday, and a holiday, and I am really hoping they continue to hold together, because there is no way I can get them replaced today. I think this while driving through a closed automotive garage.
    7. No Brakes in a Non-Existent Car

      by , 08-02-2012 at 05:47 AM
07-24-2012 -- I'm in my room in a house where I am renting a room, and it seems like Randy (one of the roommates where I currently live) and I are sharing a room. There is very thick dust everywhere, and it is obvious nothing has been dusted in years. There is a third roommate here, as well, and he has a slim black girlfriend. I'm thinking about asking the others for some help in maybe dusting a little, but figure I am not going to ask until the girl friend leaves. But Randy already has a can of Pledge, and is starting to work.

He's dusting a table, and to help him out, I start picking up the stuff sitting on the table. He asks me where I am going to put it, and I admit, right back where I picked it up from, but in the meantime, he'll be able to dust more of the table. Mom is there, as well, though she doesn't seem to actually do anything.

Soon things shift, and I am driving in the city centre of either Cambridge or London, and am thinking about the recent visit I made to the museum in another dream. Strangely, though I could have sworn I posted that dream, I cannot currently find it. In the car with me are mom, Randy, and the black girl friend. I'm turning a corner, and suddenly the brakes don't work, and I find myself jumping a curb onto a lawn, and hit a couple of wooden posts that help me to stop.

I'm right next to a broken down car, and suddenly a police car pulls up next to both of us. I'm worried the cop is going to give me a ticket, but he seems to be ignoring me. I can't go forward, and I have cars to the left and the right, so all I can do is start to slowly back out, but the brakes are still not working, and I am worried about them. I'm being very slow and careful, but as I approach the curb, I am afraid I'll shoot right back out into the intersection, so I open the door and stick out my foot, using it to brake.

I'm still on the grass, right at the edge of the curb, and now the cop is watching me, so I want to be very sure I keep control of the car. I decide I better carry it to the street. But when I turn around, it suddenly isn't there. So I bend over and pick up a large nothing, and very carefully set it down in the street. I'm still worried about the brakes in my, now non-existent, car, but the black girlfriend tells me to just add some brake fluid and I ought to be fine. I seem to remember an Auto Zone about a half-mile down the road, so I figure I can get some fluid there.

The car still isn't there, so I very carefully climb into nothing and mime taking a seat. None of the passengers have any problem doing the same thing. As we're just sitting there in thin air and about to start driving, a young kid comes up to us and fastens a Pleasure Island wrist band around my wrist. He starts nattering on about saving seats for me and collectibles and stuff. As he runs off, I tell the others he is a great kid, but I don't know why he is saving seats for me at a Disneyland stage show when I am currently closest to Euro Disneyland.

We start driving, and I realize I am on the wrong side of the road, but so are most of the other cars. In my dreams, most people in England seem to be tourists who can't remember which side of the road to drive on. We keep kind of drifting from one side of the road to the other. Meanwhile, this road in England seems to be Euclid Avenue, and the shop I seem to remember is just a couple of doors down from Euclid and Malvern / Chapman in Fullerton. But it is in England.

I'm nearly to the building I am looking for, but it is no longer an Auto Zone, but a photography store being run from an old house. We step inside, and I really need to buy some of the flat round batteries for my camera, but I don't have any money. But I remember that I don't have a car, either, and that hasn't stopped me, so I just reach into my pocket and pull out nothing, which I figure I'll use to pay for the batteries. That was I don't have to borrow money from mom.

All the people who work in the shop are females, and somehow I know they are all werewolves and vampires, though it doesn't seem to be affecting them right now. I've been here before, and the woman who owns the place remembers me, even though it has been 15 or 20 years. Somehow zombies are mentioned, and one of the women snaps out "We aren't dead, yet!" I see Amy Pond walk down a hall, but only half-register it in my mind. The whole thing is very surreal. A few moments later, she wanders back through and starts up the staircase. I turn to Chris Hires next to me, and in tandem we both shout "We've got Amy Pond" kind of like the Weasley Twins shouted out "We got Potter!" at the Hogwarts sorting.
    8. The Taco Theft!

      Monday April 23, 12. 12:30pm- 5:30am

My dream faded in and I was sitting in my car talking to my friend Chris. She was telling me about a deal she made with a friend and she wanted my help. Chris is one of my best friends, so of course I said yes. She told me that we had to sleep overnight by the building, in the car to avoid suspicion. So we did, when I woke up I remembered a dream, I grabbed my dream journal and pages fell out of it. I grabbed all the pages and put them back in order, and then I flipped to a blank page and wrote the dream down. By that time Chris woke up and told me it was time. We crept into the building, we were looking for some amazing thing, Chris instructed me that when we find it, it must be put in a taco shell to avoid suspicion. As I looked around I noticed I was in a old fast food joint. There was a big stove, fryers, sandwich making station. There were cobwebs everywhere and it was so dusty and dark. I found this black fuzzy thing. That was it, I grabbed it and put it in the taco. I crept back out to the car, put the taco in it and tried to start my car. My car wouldn’t start! I got out and looked around, my lights have been on all night. I ran back in and told Chris and she said, “no big deal, we can find someone to jump us.” So much for being secretive. We walked outside and a car started turning into the parking lot. I was scared, I didn’t want to get caught. Chris walked up to the car, started to talk and I woke up.-End Dream-

Thoughts- this dream was more detailed than the rest. I told Chris this dream and she laughed so hard, i love it!
    9. Dr. Demento attends Les Miserables and Misty Morning, Albert Bridge

      by , 01-27-2011 at 06:26 AM
This was from January 25th, sleep beginning at 10:30 PM and ending at 6:00 AM.

      First Dream:

My mother and I were attending a performance of Les Miserables inside an old, ornate church. Weird Al Yankovic may have been in the audience. Dr. Demento, the radio DJ, sat near us. For some reason I had the overwhelming urge to get his autograph, which seemed to irritate him, and I became flustered when I realized I had no memorabilia on hand. My mother produced a blank CD case from her purse and he autographed that. His "autograph" was this:

      "To No One,

      No Fun,

My mother didn't want him to sign anything for her and this embarrassed me.

      Second Dream:

I went with two women, the identities of which I can't recall, to some unknown event in a neighboring town. Somehow this changed to me being driven somewhere by my mother and passing by the cemetery where my great-grandparents are buried. My grandmother called on my cell phone and somehow I began to complain that she gave too many bad and/or unnecessary Christmas presents, which caused her to sound offended and hurt and I regretted it immediately. Then she angrily accused me of disliking the song "Misty Morning, Albert Bridge" by the band The Pogues, and of dislike The Pogues in general. I explained that I never mentioned that I like that song and band to her because I never thought they would interest her and that I actually listened to that song and the album it appears on, "Peace and Love," many times when driving to her house. She then began to play the song over the phone and became quiet. My grandfather awkwardly took over the conversation. When I asked what had happened to her he said in an odd, reluctant, insincere manner that she fell and then went to bed.

      Third Dream:

Morgan Spurlock sat eating in an old mall food court while "former students" visited him and thanked him for inspiring them with his film "Supersize Me" and his series "30 Days."

Second Sleep: I returned to sleep an hour later at 7 AM (in an attempt at WBTB and WILD) and ended up sleeping until 11:20, the morning of the 26th.

      First Dream:

I briefly dreamed of a somewhat intimate experience with a female friend, which ended with us discussing animated movies from our childhood and the possible psychological effects they might have had.

      Second Dream/Continuation of First Dream:

I experienced a false awakening. I awoke and, in a fully dreamlike state of mind and without getting ready for going out in any way, I walked zombie-like to my car and began driving to my local Walmart to buy a bread knife, something I had intended to do (or at least considered) that morning but wouldn't have done without personal grooming and etc. first. During the drive I thought about the fact that the previous dream was only a dream and not real, felt bittersweet about it, and turned on the radio where I heard Joe Brown's live cover of George Harrison's "I'll See You In My Dreams" from the "Tribute to George" concert.

Once parked at the Walmart I realized I'd forgotten my driver's license and had a panic attack. I tried to drive home quickly but somehow I ended up in the wrong lane and couldn't find any place to turn around, eventually ending up in an alternate version of my university about an hour and a half away. I attempted to change lanes in a roundabout but somehow couldn't and then turned into a small parking lot in an alley where in real life my usual outside parking lot is. While in this alley I realized I had no money and was nearly out of gas.

Suddenly everything appeared in third person point of view and I was the character Roy from the British comedy "The IT Crowd," it was my birthday and I was riding a small motorcycle. I realized that what I was experiencing was not real life and therefore not worth having a panic attack over, but rather than realizing that I was dreaming, I thought I was playing a video-game, but I couldn't tell if the game was Grand Theft Auto IV or Just Cause 2. I suddenly saw some sort of large fuel depot or explosives factory and saw a visual signal to shoot at it and blow it up, as one sees and is is prompted to do in the game Just Cause 2. Satisfied that Just Cause 2 was the correct game I was playing, I evaded the enemy fighters inside and road off onto a lonely highway heading home.

Possible Third Dream or Continuation of Previous Dream:

I arrived at my garage, possibly from the journey of the previous dream. Inside there about three older actresses, one was Dame Judy Dench, the second I forget the name of, and the third was one I didn't actually recognize as a real person. Also there was Jeff Bridges. The entire scenario played out as a bizarre plot in which the elderly women constantly modified certain babies into clones for their consciousness to inhabit, and referred to as "genetic reprogramming." The earlier dream with my female friend was referenced when Jeff Bridges began to kiss a young woman who turned out to be one of the older women using some sort of high-tech disguise. In the end the old ladies, except the one I didn't recognize, agreed to give up the "genetic reprogramming" plot they'd employed for so long. One child clone was left, Jeff Bridges' son, and he became a young rocker in a band and a big Bob Dylan fan, and we went to the local post office and prank called him, and later joined his band after vanquishing the one old woman trying to take over his body.
