    1. First Induced Lucid Dream!

      by , 10-25-2010 at 07:39 PM
      10.21:

Well, it's been a long ride, but I had my first intentional lucid dream. Per the usual, I'm going to put in red what was lucid, and blue what was non-lucid. Black will be non-dream stuff.

Going to bed, I repeated the mantra "I lucid dream." When my thoughts wandered, I would chant it louder in my head. During my trying to fall asleep, I could imagine daily things being effected by it (I see a scene from earlier play out, but instead of normal words, it added things like "I loudly dropped..." which followed the same first letter of my mantra. Somewhere in there, I fell asleep.
I am in an extremely dark house. People are all around, and for some reason, I feel a sense of urgency. I try to turn on lights, but they fail. My first thought is the lights are broken. Somewhere in the dream, I get the notion that it's a dream and try to RC. I try poking my finger through my hands, counting my fingers, but both worked flawlessly. Undaunted, I do the nose test, and it failed. This forces me to realize I am dreaming. Since it's dark, I conjure up a potion, for some reason, and drink it. Within seconds, the room brightens up. I drink another, and the room gets brighter. Eventually, the entire room is dark, but bright enough to make out details. I know the LD is extremely unstable, so I began to think of tasks to do. Yes, this was my first thought because I am goal-oriented. I ask a woman wondering around what are my tasks again, and I remember it's to talk to someone, so I ask her to tell me about lucid dreaming when I try to conjure a fireball for Nomad's class before the most recent one. She explains I need to wait to develop dream control and duration, but it'll come. I start to create the fireball in my hand, but while I feel the heat and hear the sparkling, I lose the visual. Begrudgingly, I wake up. I quickly jot down my dream, then I try to return to the dream, but instead, I have a non-lucid where I see a radio host willing to have his kidney removed for the sake of radio. Later, I am planning a trip to local colleges (day residue) to watch their graduations.

      All in all, good night!
    2. Well, I've done it.. My 1st DILD while on DreamViews!

I am super excited this morning to share that I've had a DILD, my first one since joining the forums! What's very interesting is how this LD came about, I'll give what I recall from the series of dreams that led to it here:

The first dream was a long, brutal one - I was held captive in a maximum-security prison that was also a ship, but I knew I was innocent. I recall a couple of scary, brutally realistic scenes including one where a guard held a gun at me and told me to "start counting" bc they wanted to make sure I wasn't harmful. Luckily, he didn't shoot. (Thinking back, it would have ruined everything if he did!)

I found an audio device on this ship, from which I was able to send a message to someone that would help me escape. From there I don't really recall how it happened, but we broke free and got to land to run for our lives.

Just as I was escaping, BOOM - I woke up.. Or did I? I thought I had woken up, but then I was talking to someone who I couldn't see bc it was totally dark. I said, "I am going back under" kinda Inception-style..

As I "went back under," another dream formed where I was on a ship that looked like a bus steering toward a larger cruiseliner-sized ship. I guess the false awakening had triggered the logical part of my brain, bc it gave me inspiration to do an RC... Unfortunately, my right hand had 5 fingers. BUT, my left hand looked weird and had another tiny finger growing in front of my eyes out of my pinky - I really had failed an RC (the first time ever for me, since previously I gained lucidity randomly and just kept it moving) and I was LDing!

I rechecked both hands just to make sure - yup, it was a dream! I got excited that I had finally caught myself in a dream, but stayed calm enough to remain asleep. Once we got next to the cruise ship, I decided to explore and do what I want bc, hey it's my dream. I hopped onto the cruise ship and went into a door leading up some stairs, suddenly there were tons of dream characters around me. One asked me something about shoes, which I repeated back to her in an annoyed tone - I guess I felt a dream power trip! Since I was annoyed, I tried to slap a guy in front of me but my hand was slow so he backed away in time.

I got a little ambitious at this point, I could have just explored the dream to see what I'd find - but I wanted to know I was in complete control. So, of course, I wanted to try to have sex. I guess I got a little greedy bc the moment I found a beautiful dream woman and tried, I woke up..

However, I really just had another false awakening, where a friend's voice and another voice were talking about the sequence of events that happened to me, saying that I had to go thru a horrible experience (prison) to gain full freedom, awareness and awakening (escaping prison, false awakening and LD). I agreed, but I wanted more - I told them I was "going back under." Only this time, it turned out that I woke up - in real life.

I apologize for the length, I wanted to describe my LD even though it was a very short one. It happened after a couple of days where I've been doubting my ability to LD, now I'm back in action! I would analyze the dream, but I think it speaks for itself and I'm actually going back to sleep soon to try WILD. I can't even imagine 2 LD's in one week let alone one day, but you and I both know that we are damn sure going to try our hardest, me especially after my first LD in about 2 months!

      Sweet dreams all!!

I prayed quietly to myself that one night you would come, my angel, my guiding light, my soul. And you came as a friend and as a beautiful murderer, bringing me a letter from a mind that I could never truly conceive. I told you, that you are not welcome in my house, that you can not come through the door and yet you miraculously found a way through the loggia window. And there we were, standing on the opposite sides of the door, looking in each other’s eyes, a few moments away from awakening, connected in this flawless, deep understanding.
And I loved you, and I was terrified from being with you, and I needed you, I always had...
I once read that a man can truly be himself, if he can choose between artificial and reall insanity...and here I am thinking if I’m really going mad or am I just still very, very young?
And here I am, feeling the butterflies in my stomach dancing around a perfect ambrosia!
    4. No luck with WILD

      by , 07-10-2010 at 05:52 PM
I went to bed around 730 ( I was high really hungry with no food and it was hot) and was woken up with a call from my bff around 1030. We both decided we would wake up at 430 with an alarm and a call from him to each state the intent. I did not remember my dream from when he woke me up even though I recalled it and stated it back to him. So the dream when I woke up from this morning goes as follows:
I was competing with my sisters for the approval of my parents although I do not remember ever seeing my parents. The setting was this land where it was almost a huge atrium. We were doing supernatural stuff trying to get these guys or warlocks caught and of course I was doing everything wrong in the eyes of my older sister:cheeky:. I remember one of the guys the one I was going after was the badass from Raising Arizona the movie. I also remember making the atrium with my mind and changing how it looked. I did this also when I was on the freeway and one of the freeways had traffic and the other was all clear. I had seen this house in the dream that was the same one from another dream. It was high up and the only time I have seen it would be looking directly up at it in the sky because it was so high up. It was a little shotty bungalow rambler and I remember both times trying to think what the views must have been like. The views were similiar in both dreams but the latest one was a tad different. I also remember feeling very free in the dream, and then at other points feeling like I was being chased.
I also remember being in a modern and clean hospital/library sort of building and being in the restricted zones, I am not sure if I was lost, or trying to run from someone or trying to catch something.
