    1. My First Lucid Dream

      by , 07-25-2015 at 07:34 PM
After trying to lucid dream for the past two weeks, I finally had a lucid dream where I was able to maintain lucidity. I woke up at sunrise this morning (as I normally do), checked the clock, and went back to sleep because it was Saturday and I could sleep in .

I went back to sleep with the intention of lucid dreaming. I lied down, completely relaxed, imagining myself literally "falling" into my dream world. Gradually, I noticed that my body could no longer feel itself. And then I lost consciousness; this was the beginning of my first lucid dream.

      The Dream

I found myself walking with my classmates outside on a warm rainy day. A friend of mine (a dream character who exists only in that dream) was shielding me from the downpours with his large umbrella as we walked outside on a school field trip. We walked leisurely in the rainy park for a bit before it stopped raining. As my friend closed his umbrella, I looked at his wristwatch and saw that it said 4:00 PM. It was then that I realized that I was dreaming. No. This can't be real. I went to sleep at 12:00 AM this morning and there was no way that I could have slept this many hours.

Normally, when I find myself to be dreaming, I would instantly wake up, but this time was different. I noticed that my consciousness and awareness increased but I did not let myself become fully conscious. I find myself in a state of consciousness between wakefulness and REM sleep. It was then when I felt the sensation of lucid dreaming for the first time.

In the dream, this sensation translated to a drunken dizziness that I had to struggle against. The colors and the sensations of the dreamscape were slowly dissolving into an unconscious sleep as I fought to keep my eyelids open. I mentally held on to the colors, sounds, and the sensations of the dreamscape around me. And, in a "Eureka" moment, it just clicked: I was completely lucid! I was able to see the colorful dreamscape clearly with perfect vision. I was able see my reflection and the reflections of the surrounding Romanesque architecture, the clouds, and the blue sky in the puddles on brick roadway. I was even able to smell my synthetic jacket against the backdrop of the petrichor of the summer rain. I was finally able to hold on to and experience lucidity in a dream.

The dream continued for another hour or so. It was a fairly mundane dream in very peaceful settings but it was exciting nonetheless. I drifted in and out of lucidity throughout the rest of the dream. I focused on my body and my environment whenever I started to drift out of lucidity. I recall walking around a lake in a beautiful park where humans and animals were enjoying the scenery together. I walked around the town in my dreamscape and visited a bakery. I took out my phone and decided to prank-call the cops but decided against it (because it was starting to feel almost too real to be a dream at this point). Instead, I prank-called my brother and left a silly message. Then I found myself at home, sitting at a desk next to my brother. Just to be ridiculous, I asked him, "Am I dreaming?" He rolled his eyes and sarcastically replied, "What have you been smoking?" At this point, not only did I completely lose lucidity, but I lost awareness of the dream.

      Reflections

Dream signs: clocks, watches, imaginary animals, anachronisms
Do's: Focus on the body and sensations in the dream, colors, smells, tastes, food, surroundings
Don'ts: Ask someone whether I'm in a dream; Try too hard to conjure up of places and things that don't exist

    2. My first proper Lucid dream. Yay.

      by , 05-15-2013 at 11:55 AM
      >So i was in bed, in the morning after a good night of drinking and partying
      >You know when you're in that state where not quite awake but not quite asleep
      >Open my eyes for a second, look around and then closed them again
      >My mind was functioning faster than usual, Felt this heavy weight push down on me and i knew i was asleep.
      >Open my eyes
      >>Yess. im dreaming.
      >look around, I was in the country side
      >I could feel my heart beating (i must have been excited for finally acheiving this) I spin around as per instructed
      >In front of me now was some kind of barrel/cylander
      >I thought and looked with my mind, imagined it taller and right before my eyes it started growing
      >I walked forward a bit and looked to my side and there was my dad sitting on his chair - a swing
      >He smiled at me and i smiled back
      >I continued walking for a bit
      >Then i tried to make Kimberley appear, I turned back the other way and there she was.
      >She was too tall to be real so i imagined her shorter, looked away and looked back again.
      >boom. Perfect.
      >I walked up to her and said "Hi" smiling
      >This is when i woke up.
    3. Longest chain of WILDs, DEILD and 1 FA

      Monday 3/18/13 bed around 1am -7am. Nap 10:45am-11:30am

Holy smokes, this was a good one. About 30 min of chaining. First WILD, rest a mix of WILDs a DEILDs + 1 lonely FA.

I was really torn between getting up and writing it down and between continuing, and that got reflected in FA in which I got up and wrote stuf up, only to ralize 5 min later in next DEILD that I didn't do it.

The entries were absolutely amazing. More energy oriented then ever before. Othere times I used to get up with my getting up or rolling out.

My mantra was "slow down, look around".

List is not in order of it happening.

      Sensations:

      1. Vibrations, which i managed to make stronger by thinking "energy, energy". Boy, did they ever got stronger. Incredible massage. All I could think of was how can anybody not like vibrations.

      2. At least 4 times I got out by rocking my body lengthwise, from feet to head. Incredible real feeling. Once I continued the motion and started floating out like from my head. Once I got out by falling backward head first.

      3. One exit when I realized I can feel the papers on the desk I was WILDing at (not there in WL) so I started touching papers and desk and saw my arms and got up.

      4. One exit - I kneeled on some stairs (like for older pets to be able to hop on bed) and tilted my head forward and down to get the falling feeling.

      LDs:

      1. I'm walking through one story house in tropical spanish style. (watching too much House Hunters international IWL). Lots of big, bright rooms. Come to the patio with huge flower pot with big leaf plant (like a banana tree) in shape of a casket. I'm about to freak out but I don't alow myself to do that. Instead I think "no, that's not it, just a flower pot".

      2. I'm sitting with mom and I'm writing something. She doesn't like that so I ask her if I should rather carve it into my arm. She likes that even less. I pick a ballpoint pen and "carve" write 4 - 4inch letters on my left inside forarm. The ink is not sticking everywhere. Mom comes back with a first aid kit.

      3. In one of them I remembered the "slow down, look around" mantra and actually looked around 360 degrees around me. I usually never look around, just move forward.

Added 4. On two occasion, I was blind and thought about wiping my eyes clean, but then decided to do it the easy way and take off my sunglasses instead. I think this happened after exit by falling sensation, not by getting up. If that's so, that's great, because I don't remember having success with this type of entry before.

Added 5. On one occasion I counted my fingers. Left hand had more than 5 fingers, and they looked dirty.

On both occasions it got brighter. In one LD I started to see a wall infront of me. It was grey and textured. I normally don't like going to places I don't where I'm going, but said to myself to stop being a chicken and something nice will be there.

So I went through the wall pushing it away with botm my hands, as you would push away spiderwebs in your way.

Man, I hope I remember more. I'm so stoked. They were all short, most of the time just a few seconds, but I had such a good time.

So after almost all this, I thought it's over, so I changed position but got vibrations again and was thrilled about it. Then I said I need to get up now if I want to remember any of this but got weak vibes again.

    4. The dream that caused me to look for a site like this.

      by , 09-04-2012 at 06:15 AM
I'm in a bar with two of my friends. Tim and Mike. We're playing ping pong for some reason. Drinking and ping pong are two things I do enjoy so this makes sense Tim tries to explain something to me and I try to respond to him as best I can as I'm leaving the bar but cannot find the words because I'm intoxicated. I mumble something incoherently and then realize that I have to be dreaming because Tim and Mike do not drink anymore and the only bar that ever had a ping pong table has been closed since I finished high school.

I IMMEDIATELY hear a roar of noise and what sounds like rain and realize when I wake that it's my air conditioner making the noise. I was also able to make sounds and say words while I was in a conscious awakened state whilst still being unable to open my eyes. My girlfriend confirmed this as she was lying next to me the whole time.

      Weird...
    5. First DJ Entry| First WBTB/SP attempt | 6.4.12

      First DJ Entry| First WBTB/SP attempt | 6.4.12
      Into:
Let me start off by saying that I finished writing all of this and then I accidentally hit the backspace button and it went to the previous page and I lost all of the info i just typed ok so here I go again. This is my first DJ entry, but I also have started keeping entries in one that I keep by my bed. Last night I went to bed at 12midnight got a good 8 hours of sleep. I have a playlist on my Ipod which allows me to set alarm beeps to go off during my REM cycles. I decided to try a WBTB method, but instead of staying up for a while before going back to sleep I stayed completely still with my eyes shut and tried to enter SP before trying to enter into a LD. This is the first time I tried to do this. Even though I didn't end up becoming lucid, I still believe I had some success. Now onto my dream..

      Part I
I was on my way to my brother David's wedding (he was just recently married in real life). I was outside in some sort of field at first with some of my other family members, but eventually it was time to go to the reception my sister drove me, David and one of my other brothers through the field. She was driving pretty crazily and swerving all throughout the field, and I kept making comments on her driving. She parked the van and then we all went inside. I could tell my comments about her driving had made her upset, and once we were inside I apologized a few times to her and then everything was ok. Then we were in the place where we had had the rehearsal dinner, and I was sitting next to my mom. I had my laptop out on the table for some reason while we were waiting for the food and I was checking my facebook. Then I noticed my mom was trying to look at my fb I could see her squinting her eyes like she was trying to read something on the status feed. I then looked at my facebook and got the feeling that someone had hacked it and put up stuff that I had not posted. I don't know exactly what it was, but I got the feeling that my mom wouldn't understand why the hacked stuff was on my computer so I started closing out the windows that were open. I thought there was only one window at first but then I realized there were a few as soon as I closed the first one.

It was soon after this that I woke up from the alarm beeps that I had set. At this point beeps would go off every 2 minutes for 8 minutes to keep help try and keep my mind awake but my body asleep. So once I realized that I was awake, I kept my eyes shut and focused on keeping my breathing the same as when I was sleeping. After a few min I think I started to enter SP. I tried not to think of anything specific, but instead I wanted to just let random thoughts come to me. I felt like I was moving in and out of SP, and all I was seeing was darkness then out of nowhere I saw a vivid metallic green colored circular geometric shape. Now it didn't look exactly perfect and it wasn't a maze, but it was similar to this picture I made on photoshop today: then after that I saw some quick cloud like visuals that looked something like this: I remember being excited about what I had just saw and I reminded myself to write them down when I woke up later on. At that point I felt too tired, and I knew the beeps that had been keeping me up were gone so I decided to just give into sleep. While I was doing this I kept thinking about the visuals that I had just witnessed, and all of the sudden I think this is where I slipped back into dreaming..

      Part II
I got this feeling of moving forward, and I compared it to the feeling of driving in a car really fast. Then I was thinking it would be easier to enter SP if I was actually in a car while trying it and someone else was driving me.( I’m not sure when the thoughts started and the visuals started, but the next thing I know..) My best friend Scotty was driving me at night on this road that curved and in my dream I was trying to enter SP. When it didn’t work we continued to drive until I had him drop me off on the sidewalk, and I started to walk towards downtown State College. I continued walking the same direction scotty had been driving me and then I noticed a group of runners in white shorts and shirts behind me. Instead of getting out of their way I decided to see if I was still in shape which I soon found out that I wasn’t. I only ran for like 30 seconds, and I could hear them running up close behind me. I heard them making fun of me for how slow and out of shape I was. Then I had to rest so I moved out of the way and sat down on the grass next to the sidewalk to catch my breath. As the runners passed I yelled “YOU LOOK AMAZINGG!” at them, but I said it sarcastically because I guess I thought they looked stupid in their all white running clothes. I guess I was just mad that they made fun of me and that they were right. Then I got back up and continued on my way, and soon I was downtown looking around at the different bars and restaurants. I stopped at a couple different ones, but I didn’t order anything even though I wanted to. And that was the end.

I don't know how people can remember these dreams so vividly with all the detail! Maybe keeping a dream journal really helps......
all I can remember is playing a game (called runescape) and my inventory was full of good armor and i was in barrows, then something appeared then i woke up in real life . (i'm such a nerd)
I Will keep trying and eventually be able to lucid dream.
    7. DILD - show me something important for me to see

      Tuesday 4/3/12 5-HTP 10:10pm Bed 11:15pm
      DR 2:30? about LDing
3:38 woke up from DILD 7min long (CAT - cycle adjustment technique) - my usual WBTB time
First time - saying 'show me something important for me to see'
      DILD
During some HH swirls, I thought I heard something and opened one eye. The amazing thing was, that I continued seeing the HH with eye opened.
I don't remember, where did I become lucid.
I'm so happy to be making loops over my backyard RD10. It's at night. I think what to do and decide to try for the moon again. As I start to ascend, I realize I'm loosing details from the height and decide to abort, so I don't wake up.

I visit someplace in professional capacity. More things happened here, which I don't remember. I'm supposed to be shown something. Older lady is hooked up to a machine wirelessly by her female master. Something about DV academy.

Towards the end, I'm over my yard again, hovering and thinking, what should I do. I shout out 'show me something important for me to see'. Immediately, a small point of white lite starts to shine high up in the sky, at about 70 degree angle. I know it only looks small because it's far away. I feel it to be a portal. I become so overcome with joy that it worked, I start jumping up and down while hovering in the air, clapping my hands and squealing like a little girl. Of course, this wakes me up.

      [probably D3]

Like the title implies, I’ve been waiting. Not so patiently. And......... LUCIDITY!!! [I think.]

Okay, so I was having a dream (duh) where I was talking to my friend A while on some sort of field trip or museum tour of some sort. Without any prompt at all, I became lucid and promptly began doing what any sane veteran of lucidity lore and study would do in my situation.
      I started royally freaking out.
Really, I was getting all sorts of excited. I even grabbed A by the shoulders and said “Hey! I’m dreaming! I know I’m dreaming!”
And... shortly after that, the dream ended. I didn’t even wake up from all that freaking out, I just... stopped dreaming.

      Stupid happiness overload.

The weird thing is that my recall of the whole thing is no more vivid than my average (recalled) dream. That might be due to my late (or technically early) bedtime last night (again, technically morning) cutting down on my sleep and clarity relatively, but...
      Eh. Who knows.

Anyways. I am now officially a lucidity virgin no more.
    9. The First

      by , 09-14-2011 at 06:13 PM
It seems when I dream, the different dreams just come and go, so I'll skip to the one that contained lucidity.
I was in a hotel in a large, busy looking city (or at least that's what I saw from the window) along with my girlfriend, and a women who appeared to be a nurse, from maybe a 1940's era.No one was injured, so I still don't quite understand her presence in this. I had come to the conclusion that we had traveled back in time, and I was trying to figure out a way for me and my girlfriend to get back to our time. When i opened the door that was in the hotel room, it led to an identical room, and for some reason, I came to the conclusion that it would be possible to get back to "our time" if we back into this door. We did this, through many hotel doors, all of them taking us to identical rooms, but not taking us home. Eventually we stopped and took a break. We sat down, and I told the nurse that maybe if we went to sleep, me and my girlfriend would wake up in our own time. She then brought us milk and chocolate chip cookies and we began to slowly eat them at a small table in the hotel room. The setting of the hotel room was of a gorgeous Victorian era, that completely contradicting the setting of the polluted city outside the window. I had finished my cookies, stood up, and started walking to the window, and then I though to myself "How could we have traveled through so many hotel rooms, and seemingly end up where we were in the first place? How did we even time travel in the first place? Time travel isn't possible, I must be dreaming!" It was then that the floor beneath me began shaking, almost crumbling (Inception-like?). I remembered the things I had read online of how to stop myself from waking up from a dream, and I had rubbed my hands together and focused on the feeling of it. After everything re-stabilized, I ran to my girlfriend and told her of my realization. I guided her to the window with me, and as we walked past the bed, I noticed a crimson red comforter sprawled about on the bed. I thought to myself "That comforter is green" and then watched in amazement as, from the center of it to the edges, turned a dark green. We arrived at the window and I looked about at all the buildings that were a little tall, but not quite as tall as the one we were in, as we could easily see over them. We then noticed a car heading towards us, or rather the building we were in, with a speed that clearly said the driver had no intentions of stopping. They planned on crashing into the building. With a wave of my right hand, I had easily picked the car up and sent it flying into a distant part of the city, diagonally to the right. A man had then some how jumped from the ground level up the window seal and stood there starring into the room. He was wearing a leather jacket, with a black matching hat, and ripped up denim jeans. His face had cuts, all that was in his eyes were whites, and as he smiled grimly, it was easy to see he was missing teeth. He was easily comparable to a zombie. When he attempted to climb into the window, I waved my right hand and sent him flying in the same direction as the car was sent. My girlfriend had went back to the table to sit down, the nurse was straightening the bed up, and I had moved a few feet to the right of the window and was leaning against the wall. Some how a hog and climbed onto our window seal and had sneezed violently. I watched, in slow motion, as the snot traveled through the air, and hit the nurse in her back. I waved my hand, but nothing happened. I tried maybe two more times, but it wouldn't go away. I then closed my eyes and thought to myself "This is a dream. That isn't a hog, it's a small bunny." I opened my eyes to see that the hog had transformed into a small kitten, with a slightly large head, white fur with patches of black, and big green cat eyes. I picked it up, took it to my girlfriend and she said "it's so cute" in the voice she does whenever she see's something adorable. From there, I believe* I woke up, quite eagerly at the fact that I had had a lucid dream.

      * I say I "believe" I woke up, because I don't remember how the dream ended, or even exiting the dream.
    10. My crazy Mind

      by , 05-30-2011 at 03:37 PM
So just joined, yay me. Last two days I've been reading on this site. Last night I did the whole "When I wake up I'll remember my dream." Thing and it worked pretty good. I remember 4 diffrent scenerios, not sure is some were the same dream and just morphed into something new. Anyways they are pretty scettchy. First one was about someone I was helping decorate cake (I'm a cake decorator) and for whatever reason they were slimy. Then another one I was running my my brother because he was trying to kill everyone, and looking for me. Then another one there was a cow that was getting castrated and an old friend from elementary school and I was stuck in the pen with it. My friend was wearing arm things to help him walk, dont know why. Then the last one I was in a big house/building and was going through the rooms and halways and there were those quarter machines where you get little toys from. and thats about it. I hope to have the same kinda luck tonight!

    11. Supposedly first lucid dream

      by , 01-17-2011 at 11:34 AM
      Hello, fellow explorers.
Excuse my current lack of English skill, I came to North America since grade 10 and now in first year in
university in Canada. Since then I started to learn English and I am still working on it.

Anyways, this journal is supposed to be about my first lucid dream.
Long story short I will be straight forward.

Without much knowledge of LD/OBE(I am still working on it through reading and listening to talks about LD/OBE), I relied on Timer method which I learned from Lucidology as well as WBTB method.
I went to bed around 11:30 pm. Woke up around 3:10 and was awake till 4:00. Went bed again and boom.
I was dreaming yet I realized that I was dreaming because I knew that I went to bed seconds ago. My first impression of lucid dream was quite interesting. I was keep thinking 'Is this real?' and it was fun to watch the excitement that comes follow as soon as the realization. Also things were not quite stable as real world the world I
saw in dream is more like, the scenes you see in the movie 'Waking Life', in other worlds, the frame I had was quite slanted and moving. Anyways, In the dream.
I was at my native country's home. There I saw my brother whom I miss so much since he's in military and haven't seen him for 2 years and decided to explore dream world and wanted to fly which I failed. I felt about 3 mins past and all of sudden, it ended and I woke up at 6:30.

Thanks for reading, next time I'll try to be straight to the point.

Hopefully I can write more LDs in future time !

    12. Suburbia to Solar System?

      by , 12-19-2010 at 08:42 AM
This isnt the first time Ive become lucid, but its definitly the longest Ive been lucid in a dream..

The moment I became lucid, I was on a nice, quiet suburban street (much like the street a few of my friends live together on)

There were a lot of cars, but no people. I became ecstatic at the idea of being in a dream. Everything started to black out - so I stared at my hands to regain lucidity. It seemed to work.

I decided to test out some powers I might be able to harness - I attempted to run, and eventually kept going faster until I reached superspeed, but the dream started to fade out, so I stopped.

My mind (due to low-lucidity) started to wonder, although I was still aware. I started to think about Space and the stars (a topic Im really interested in exploring in my dreams) and focussed on a stone that was on the footpath - Everything turned black except the stone, which turned into a distant star, and I begun soaring towards the star through space at astronomical speeds.

I slowed down and stopped in space. In complete awe at the solar system I was travelling through, I got too excited and woke.

That, was my most recent, and most interesting lucid dream.

I hope to have many more and evolve a lot of the themes I experienced!
