    1. Lucid and Semi-Lucids: Weekend of August 17 - 20

      , 08-20-2018 at 05:25 PM (ZAD's DJ)
This weekend I started using a more intense regimen for day work and night work to increase dream recall and lucidity. It worked (somewhat)!

Day work: relaxed ADA, i.e. every few hours I do ADA for an hour. During that hour, every 10 minutes I remember in detail what I was doing 10 minutes ago. Also, each time I take my dog for a walk, I do walking meditation and focus on all of my senses.

Night work: night meditation before bed and in bed, setting intentions for WBTB, and SSILD during WBTB. Started keeping a physical DJ instead of using my phone in the morning. As I'm falling asleep initially, I revisit past NLs and visualize that I do an RC and calmly go through my lucid checklist -- calmly state that I'm dreaming, get a good look of my surroundings, start moving through the dream, once I feel somewhat stable scream "clarity now!" (and expect it), keep setting goals for myself to move forward, and most of all, feel calm and confident with an expectation of success.

      ---

      Aug 17 2018 (morning of)

Begin day work, but no night work yet -- no LDs, but recorded several NLs.

      ---

      Aug 18 2018

Day work, begin new night work.
Two semi-lucids (SL) and one LD, as well as a greater number of NLs than normal.

SL: I'm in a bus. I can feel warm sunlight through the window on my left arm. I'm going down a street near my childhood home. At some point, I become semi-lucid and begin to drive instead of being a passenger. I shift to 3rd person view, and I'm able to zoom and rotate the viewpoint to behind and around the bus, lower to the ground, higher, etc. Eventually I arrive at the end of the street and turn down a shortened version of the waking life street--this place reminds me of the wooded area near where I send my dog for day care when we go out of town. There's an outdoor party under a pavillion that in waking life is used to shelter tractors. My fiance, mother, and sister are all there with other random DCs.

LD: I find myself in an opulent room with deep red walls. The beams and columns are wooden and gold, with gold trim on everything in the room. There is a wooden desk ten feet in front of me with scattered scrolls/books/papers and other golden/brass instruments sitting atop it. The room feels cluttered but I can't remember with what -- bookshelves, tapestries? All around me deep red, wood, and gold are prevalent. I look at my hands and each of my fingertips has a small twisted mouth on it, similar to the strange writhing creature on the tree in Twin Peaks Season 3. I instantly become lucid and say "I'm dreaming". I begin to walk forward towards the table and repeat again, louder: "I'm dreaming!" Then I scream at the top of my lungs "Clarity now!", however I may have doubted myself too much, and the words come out garbled. The visual intensity increases greatly and I physically rise up from the ground. I can see there is some sort of light source on the light beige/tan ceiling, and suddenly I'm dropped back to the ground, as if the dream is rejecting me and literally spitting me out of the dream. I don't pop out of the dream, but it fades extremely quickly. The total length was probably less than 10 seconds.

Other SL omitted for quadruple X rating and just plain bizarreness.

      ---

      Aug 19 2018

      Day work and night work.
One LD, lots of NLs (more than normal).

LD: As soon as I enter the dream, before even examining my surroundings, I feel aware. I look at my hands and calmly say "I'm dreaming!" and feel pretty stable. The sky is reddish and very dark. I am standing on some igneous rock or basalt, with patches of dried yellow grass, some of which look as if they're illuminated by sunlight. There is also some gravel. I walk forward a few paces and set goals to walk to this patch of grass, then this one. I start to feel worried about the stability of the dream, so I drop to the ground and scream "Clarity now!" as I rub the palms of my hands and knees against the gravel and rock. As I was falling to my knees, the position of my legs and knees relative to my hands feels off--like they didn't exist before I dropped down. As I walk I realize that the rock that I'm on is sort of a cliff or hill, and that there's a dirt path on the ground level a few feet below the dropoff. I look up and see several houses ahead. The sky is darker near the houses. I'm level with the dirt path as the path rose up and the cliff dropped down to a point where they met. I stand up and pass the first, smaller one on my left. I believe the front door was open. The second house is larger and somewhat menacing. I feel some subconscious fear, and suddenly I dream bursts and I'm awake (or in an FA, which I really need to learn to convert). I think this one lasted somewhere around 30-45 seconds.

      ---

      Aug 20 2018

Return to daily regimen only -- no lucids, only about 3 NLs remembered.

    2. Dollhouse Retrieval and Return with Golden Airplane Charm

      by , 02-03-2018 at 11:51 AM
Morning of October 20, 2016. Thursday.

My dream begins with a backstory involving a task which is apparently for a reality show. There is a feeling of comfort and happiness and of being in the right place at the right time.

The challenge involves retrieving a two-storey dollhouse from the middle of a shallow pond. The knee-deep water is very cool and refreshing. The dollhouse is in a deeper area, mostly encircled by rocks that are just under the surface. Reaching down to lift it from the bottom, my right hand brushes a rock and I get an intense electrical shock that jolts my whole body and I even feel residual buzzing for a short time. My perception vivifies after this. I realize that only the dollhouse can be touched with the hands or a shock will result, which seems to be the nature of the challenge. I grab it by the roof and an upper window with both hands and get a vague impression that it is actually a miniature boathouse made of flimsy wood. I lift it up and tip it and watch and hear all the water flow out, as if it had been full of water even though much of it had been above the surface. I carry it back to shore with a great sense of enjoyment.

There is a later scene in a less vivid dream event where two unknown males are trying to win the hand of a tribal princess. (I am unsure of the culture as even though it seems early Native American, it also seems to be in the future where there have been celestial changes, possibly threatening, though this is not a dominant idea.) There is something about shooting an arrow between two bows that overlap front to front giving the impression of a Venn diagram truncated at each side, the central area symbolically relating to the traits of the princess that both men desire, which has obvious sexual undertones.

In the last segment, which is more vivid, an unknown male in a business suit is boarding a passenger jet near the outer boundary of a forest. (My view of him is from behind the left side of the aircraft.) He is carrying a large golden airplane charm which he had apparently won. He seems happy as he is walking up the mobile stairs.

About 12% of my dreams (about 12 out of 100) render water as autosymbolism that represents entry into the dream state.

About 23% of my dreams (about 23 out of 100) render vestibular system ambiguity as a flight symbol. In this case, vestibular system symbolism (autosymbolism that signifies being unconscious and emerging from the dream state) has three layers; the passenger jet, the golden airplane charm, and the mobile stairs. Gold symbolizes the emergent consciousness as analogous to increasing daylight.

    3. Flying to a Library as Casper the Friendly Ghost

      by , 06-21-2017 at 10:26 AM
Morning of June 21, 2017. Wednesday.

I am in my bedroom in Cubitis (where I have not been in real life since the summer of 1978). There is not much furniture present other than a bed. My room is full of very shiny small gold nuggets and gold dust with a few piles of gold coins. It seems to be nighttime.

I do not consider that my bedroom being filled with gold all over the floor from wall to wall is unusual in any way. I also do not consider that it is unusual that I am Casper the Friendly Ghost, in cartoon form. Wendy the Good Little Witch is visiting. There is no direct association with humanity at all.

Snorkledorf, the Freakies Cereal character, though not associated as such by my dream self, is approaching from the west. Wendy and I know that we are in danger. He will most certainly eat all my gold and then eat us. We decide to flee. Wendy and I fly northwest, and although I phase through the wall as I am flying because I am a ghost (though I often do this as my more conscious-self-based dream self), Wendy does as well, which puzzles me briefly. Perhaps she quickly used her magic wand. For a short time, I am thinking that she could turn Snorkledorf into something else, but that might not prove to be feasible.

We both fly north now. The area is no longer like rural Cubitis but not like a city block, either. The houses are close together, the backs of the houses facing each other, with shared backyards (an interesting dream distortion). Somehow, the area seems familiar or at least “correct” to me (even though it is entirely unique) and I decide to fly to the library. Wendy is no longer with me. I get the idea that Snorkledorf might be able to track our direction using his sense of smell, but that concern fades.

In the unfamiliar library, I am “myself” to some degree. That is, my dream self identity is now human but there are not many threads of my current conscious self identity, though I have no dream-self memory of having just been Casper the Friendly Ghost. I discern my fictional dream self as when I was around twenty-five (even though I had not been in Cubitis since age seventeen). I “know” that the library is north of my home in Cubitis, the other side of Highway Seventeen from where the plant nursery would have been in reality (as well as the opposite side of the highway as my home was). As usual, this is the first time this fictional layout has ever been rendered. There was no public library in Cubitis.

I look westerly at a tall wooden magazine rack and see a variety of magazines and comic books. I think I might buy a book I see in about the center of the rack, which is a graphic novel of perhaps sixty-four pages, though it feels thicker when I stroke the slightly irregular spine with my right thumb and index finger. Even though I am not familiar with its content and it does not seem all that interesting, I decide I will buy it as I read the price on it as $1.13; a dollar and thirteen cents. My dream self does not consider that, being in a library and probably not part of an ongoing book sale (though there are book sales at our local library in real life), that I could not buy it even though I plan to.

I turn around and lean down upon a heavy wooden table to read the book more closely. There are a few other people seated at it, including a very chubby short-haired unfamiliar male on my right (south) of about twenty. As I lean upon the table while turning a couple pages of the graphic novel, the heavy table begins to tip to the point where its top is almost diagonal to the floor.

“I’m sorry,” I say to the small group of people, as I catch and pull the table back upright before it is fully on its side.

“If you could harvest that energy, you could solve the global energy crisis,” the chubby male says formally but cheerfully. I wake.

      • The gold in my Cubitis bedroom uniquely symbolizes all my dreams that I had documented and decoded in my youth.
      • Snorkledorf in this case symbolizes so-called dream interpreters. They “eat” (read) someone else’s dream without knowing what a dream is (what gold is for). They “trumpet” (as does Snorkledorf) an irritating out-of-tune fallacious “interpretation” with no understanding of personal value or experience or true meaning.
      • Being Casper and flying is a waking symbolism precursor. Flying is the main anticipatory form of waking from a dream. Some “experts” believe this evolved from our ancestors falling out of trees while sleeping, but other “experts” have other theories, such as unconscious confusion of the physical body being horizontal in sleep while residual threads of the conscious self identity are rendered as upright in the dream state. I am more inclined to believe the second theory.
      • $1.13, the cover price of the graphic novel, relates to how long I had been sleeping, an hour and thirteen minutes, a format I picked up from watching the timer on our DVD player so many times over the years. The graphic novel itself symbolizes being in the dream state.
      • It is curious that the personified preconscious (though already coalescing into my emergent consciousness) said “harvest” instead of “harness”. (“Harvest” would imply getting electricity from plants, thus I suspect it means on one level that I should eat more green vegetables for more energy.)
      • Thinking that Wendy could transform Snorkledorf with her magic relates to a conversation Zsuzsanna and I had prior to my dream. Neither of us have any answers for what is really wrong with much of humanity, regardless of how many times we had discussed it. This also relates to a recent analogy I came up with. Being an Internet dream journalist with over fifty years of experience is like being a heart surgeon with a detailed personal diary and additional book on anatomy. In the night, a person comes in through the window and scribbles in the margins “explaining” how the human body is run on hamster wheels…

    4. The Tiny Man and the Apocalypse (with Gregory Hines)

      by , 04-12-2017 at 10:12 AM
Morning of April 12, 2017. Wednesday.

In the first part of my dream, I have the ability to “do anything” and I am clearly aware of this (even though I am not lucid at any point), of which becomes a focus on an unfamiliar Solntsevskaya Bratva boss (reminiscent of an older Mikhail Baryshnikov though more like Semion Mogilevich in the last moments of the scene, though Mikhail is possibly the man at the teacher’s desk and near the tree in later scenes) and his younger associate wanting me to find gold. Semion is at a desk in the last scene of the first segment. I explain that I will only find the gold that is not in a secured location or kept by others. I tell him that there is at least one large gold nugget twenty-five miles away. (This indicated that my dream would last twenty-five more minutes as gold typically represents emerging consciousness as well as sunrise). To me, this seems like too long of a drive, but he seems to be interested in getting it. I explain that I could find gold coins that had been lost (symbolic of subliminally seeking conscious self identity), but the focus remains on the gold nugget. No events related to this scenario occur after this.

In another scene (which seems to be the same unfamiliar room as in the first scene), I get two chocolate Easter eggs from my mother (having no memory that she had died years ago). They are like Kinder Surprise eggs (and with the same wrapper imagery) but about twice the size. When I go to eat one as I am lying on the floor (on my side), there seems to be one inside the other, as I end up eating at least half the foil from the one on the inside (but I do not spit it out). My mother is present and I mention this. She says that she had forgotten to unwrap it (and the second egg is probably like this as well). This does not really make sense, as how would one unwrap a chocolate egg that is fully inside another one? The toy inside the plastic “egg” (of which there is only one inside the second wrapped layer) is hard to discern. It may be some sort of tiny plastic outrigger model, the pieces attached in one frame (and I see the small strip of paper with instructions as well).

There is a tiny man, only about three inches high, who I talk to several different times throughout the rest of my dream. There is interest in where he may have come from. I ask him where he lives, naming about three locations, finally asking him if he lives under tree roots and he seems offended. He talks to another male (of normal height) at a desk.

The other male asks me something about receiving a check. The layout of the room now reminds me somewhat of one of my high school basement classrooms, with a square column on each side of his desk. I notice that I am in pajamas and as it is the middle of the day I feel slightly embarrassed. (I do not wear anything when sleeping in real life, though this is just a first-level dream sign, that is, a subliminal non-lucid awareness of being asleep and dreaming.) I take them off and put a shirt on, but then I see that I already had a shirt on (even though I had not actually put the first one on) so I am now wearing two shirts and notice that they are different colors (blue and pale orange I think, the blue on the outside). I think about whether I should just button up the second one but consider that it may be too warm.

Eventually, it is seen that the tiny man actually had been living in a small cave under a large tree (just as I had first thought and asked him about though which seemingly offended him), accessible via a tiny doorway between the tree roots. I see two tiny women dressed as fishwives standing just outside the door. They seem to be wondering where the tiny man went. I want to talk to them, but they are wary of human beings of normal height. A group of other people, some of them relatives, curiously approach the tree (including Tina, which is possibly the first dream she has ever appeared in - I see her full name on a small piece of paper near the tree with a couple other names I do not discern). They seem to question whether or not tiny people really exist. One unknown male (Mikhail? - though vaguely like my brother Leonard) places about six or seven odd plastic animal figures near the door as “bait”. They are not to scale and include a frog, cow, horse, dragon, owl, and other animals, all about two inches tall. The tiny women somehow get the figures inside and the figures come to life. The frog tries to eat the cow but fails. Other figures try to eat each other in a chaotic scene but the scene changes. (I am viewing this as if the scene is magnified and I am perceiving from within the tiny cave, though this viewpoint changes in the next scene.)

The tiny man returns and goes inside the cave under the tree. I had wanted to talk to him more. Soon, a young Gregory Hines (February 14, 1946-August 9, 2003) is present. Apparently, he is the ruler of the kingdom of the little people even though he is of normal height. He now plans on eliminating everyone but the little people (and himself). As such, he calls another copy of himself to aid in the end of the world.

A sketch of Gregory Hines “slides” down a miniature skyscraper (though which is still about ten feet tall) that has the external surface of a flat disco ball. I watch as it nears ground level, each square shifting as the parts of the drawing “slide” down the side of the building. The drawing becomes three-dimensional and soon becomes the second “real” Gregory Hines but he is dressed differently than the first - in an unusual vertically pinstriped (dark gray and white) dance costume. I pick him up and throw him over my right shoulder (his head in back of me) and he kicks his legs. The first Gregory Hines looks on with annoyance. I am not sure what to do. I do not want everyone to be killed but I do not feel like carrying the second Gregory around or hurting him.

This is the first time that my preconscious and emergent consciousness (not fully coalesced but still physically touching me and over my right shoulder) were both Gregory Hines. The two shirts event seems redundant of the concentric chocolate eggs event. It may relate to layers of consciousness within the sleep cycle or an unusual waking transition metaphor that requires a second prompt for coalescence (as I was in the dream state much longer than usual). The personified unconscious was the tiny man (validated by the fact he lived underground under a tree, a tree being analogous to the human brain only in some cases). This dream is atypical with regard to the miniature people factor. Most such dreams trigger lucidity and extreme vividness but not in this case. The high school basement classroom is a factor of the unconscious. The fall (or “slide”) down the outer wall of the disco ball building (also a “moon cessation” factor symbolizing the change in circadian rhythms) seems to be the otherwise common precursor to the “fall” of the emergent consciousness and vestibular system correlation.

I explain this dream type further in “Dreams of Type PRECONAV-VSCPCEL, 01-15”.

    5. trapped by my emotions

      by , 11-25-2016 at 07:09 PM
I am in a musty old public house. There is an old storeroom that is boarded up below, we go down and I remove some of the boards covering the entrance and squeeze through. Inside I retrieve some bottles they contain a golden liquid also a bottle of wine which turns out to be very rare.

On holiday I am at water resort, it is made up of a series of swimming pools, some under cover some in the open air, connected by ladders and water shoots and troughs leading to different areas.
I am stopping on this level, even though older people, mainly woman are making there way up to higher levels I am feeling very weak and can hardly move. A small boy is wearing a big overcoat and I wear one too. We go to wear a blind girl with long dark hair cascading almost like a Medusa except she is beautiful, despite not being able to see her eyes.
I am then in a classroom which is very dark and full of fear as there are bullies there. I find out that the blind girl was blinded by them. In this world you can get away with hurting people as long as you do not kill them.
I am back in time to when the injury first happened and the girls is in a room. Her face is covered with wrapped bandages but her hair still cascades around. I sit in the room with her and read her books and talk to her to keep her company.

    6. All gone futuristic

      by , 08-19-2016 at 07:41 PM
D1 - Am at some kind of camp where people are competing. We are trying to get points in some kind of event. All gets a bit abstract something to do with a line with a gold thread on it and our team need to try and secure another part of it (this repeats).
Meet up with some other groups who are dressed up like different types of commando gear but all in white. We have a little show down with the regular cadets who we are clearly superior to.
A new match is about to begin and the "referee" for want of a better word says he will not be phased by our team.
Our player is a guy with a grey beard as long zz-top and is maddly cackling and laughing at what the ref said.
He is dressed in black and it is night time but he is illuminated by weird purple lightning and light reflected of grey smoke around him. He scares the b-jesus out of the ref.

D2 - Am in a futuristic city, with the usual disparate bands of people wearing scruffy clothes and looking like they've never seen mtv.
I have a metal hand held device which is kind of rectangular (I realise this is due to my incubation from before D1).
Finding my way across the city which looks very grey , I need to find my way to somewhere but i haven't a clue how to get there so I need to stop to ask some locals. But I don't totally trust them, particularly a blond haired guy who seems to be the leader. I need to get on urgently with my mission.
They point me in the right direction and I use my device to fly up through a hatch so I can look out across the city and over to where i'm aiming at.
It turns out my mission is to save the world from genetically (or something) modified wheat.

D3 - I am a college professor and am talking to an old guy with glasses who was a business graduate apparently. We are standing in the doorway of my house. I then leave with a very yellow looking wheat sandwich (it actually has wheat poking out of it) and arrive in the playground. There L and her double are sitting. Her double has blond hair instead of her dark hair.

the gold thread which runs through these dreams (pun intended) ?? only thing golden thread reminds me of is the bit in disney's hercules when the three fates try and cut his golden life thread...hmmm curious indeed

    7. dragons and more dragons but no lucid

      by , 08-03-2016 at 05:37 PM
D1-At a beach side pool the people are all really annoying, they think I cant understand the moronic things they are saying. They think I am spanish and dont understand.
Even their own children are getting hurt and crying they are so dumb.
I make out certificates for 1st,2nd and 3rd place idiot family.
I give out the 3rd place certificate but then unsuprisingly get into an argument.

D2- Really long ass dream about dragons.
I am in a bar and a woman sees I have a dragon, just a tiny spirit one that circles round my arm. I tell her she is messing with me as no one can see the dragon except me. Turns out she can as she has an unawakened dragon in her. More chat about legend surrounding dragon.
I tell her she is in danger and that I can train her if she wants.

      WBTB
D3- I am back talking about dragons to the woman. We are outside the bar.
I have been exiled as when I tried to awaken my dragon 110 years ago ar age of 16 I was almost killed and my soulmate was killed. I felt was my fault at time and agreed to exile. I tell her I am bad news but if she wants to I can teach her meditation and dream work (she needs to be lucid) she needs to grow her dragon spirit, which is a rare white one. Mine was silver but I only have bit of red dragon from gf that died.
Anyways badies detect her power output which is super high and before I can cloak her, I have to face off against them.
Oh I already kicked some rich families kids ass so they are supposed to kill me for the family to save face.
I have learnt some techniques so that I could take powers from the kid dragons I fought (who were suitors for white dragon) so I have blue, green, red and black dragons at level 5 tier. So even though they are higher level I still end up flying around and punching at super speed and take them all down. But I dont kill them.
I catch interest after fight from dragon mafia , who enlist me (I dont nind as I hate all the privelidged familes that exiled me) and come out of exile and take white dragon with me.
I tried to cut details down was long ass repeating dream.

      WBTB
D4- Now I am third person watching story unfold in a cafe. New woman looking like dream girl from dreams I had a while back.
She spots a dragon spirit , guy who looks like philip marlow detective, he is stone dragon.
He does some detective work and finds out as her nickname is "goldie" that she is legendary gold dragon that only appears once every few thousand years and only in one realm.
A silver dragon exists in London that is her soul mate of legend.
But the dragon has been cursed by dragon soceity for a crime and should be dead.
Detective sends goldie to dragon school in another realm where she can find out about dragons and info on how she may break curse on the silver dragon.
She finds out silver dragon was banished as he did not accept privelidge of dragon title and wanted equality between all dragons. Academic tutoring goldie scoffs at stupidity of idea and likens it to equal rights in human world. She hides her anger but he sees through it and says it is ok she has spent to much time among normal humans and will see sense in time.
She sets off to rescue silver but is being tailed by agents and has to leave a coded message to meet stone dragon.

    8. [29-07-2016]

      by , 07-29-2016 at 09:26 AM (Snehk's Dreamlands)
      First dream

I was in Hogwarts castle, something went wrong and Snape called everyone to descend down a spiral staircase to his dormitory. Whole castle gathered there, everyone looked in awe at golden objects and coins lying spread all around the floor and shelves. Like mad they charged at shelves and ground to take as much as they can. I calmly took coins enough to fill my two pockets, and then Snape appeared. First he started with taking all his gold back from people. He noticed that I had something in my pocket, I dropped a few coins on the ground and Snape went away. I still had rest of his gold in my pockets. He started arguing with Potter, I wasn't really listening to their argue and just wanted to go and mind my own business. Something flied past the window, when everyone tried to spot it looking through window, I did something and Snape just disappeared, thrown away by powerful winds.

      Second dream - DILD

I was in my school, in the sports hall. I was watching a volleyball match, my friend was playing in it. He looked different, he was much taller and slimmer. I knew that there was some charm or curse placed upon their team, but they were still holding on strong. After the match I left sports hall and went with my class to some lesson in upstairs classroom. After it was finished I got a feeling that I have to do something quickly. I told that I have to do something urgently to two girls and ran through the school like mad, to the exit. I heard them saying that they too have something important to do but don't run like me. It was a grim, rainy day. I looked at the parking to find my car. I realised that it's a dream and kept repeating those words for a short while. I tried the nose plug RC, but it have failed. My right nostril was clogged, I knew that it was the thing in waking body and I couldn't do anything about that. I found my car and entered it, then drove out, phasing through another car that was parked there. I was driving on the road, with complete disregard for law and rules. My perspective was changing from first to third at times. I drove around, but each turn at the road led me to completely different and wrong street. I tried to phase my hand through window, but I couldn't for some reason. Then I crashed with two cars, and completely phased through third. The dream wasn't too stable and with low lucidity, it ended quickly.

      Third dream

I was playing a strange computer game. It was some kind of simulation game, I had to choose how high loan a man was taking with some mafia and how many drugs he's buying. Then I had to set up a business for him and pay the loan before mafia would kill him. I set up a strip club and it slowly started, but suddenly it all changed to hospital. It was out of the game, the man, his family and strippers working in club were waiting for doctor. It was probably after they couldn't pay the mafia. Strippers were arguing with club owner. Suddenly a strange, enormously long snake appeared under the table. It had funny ears on it's head and looked kinda cute with them. It made a hiss combined with rattle at the strippers, then hidden.

      Preface:
Bed at midnight. Long day and long night. Skipped vitamins before bed; I was so tired I forgot about them.
I am noticing that my dream transitions are smoother. Dreams are turning into one really long dream, as opposed to many short ones.

      DR1

I am walking down an alleyway with a couple of friends. It is evening time, and the color of the buildings is brown/goldish. It looks as if everything is being lit up by a torch, except, there is no torch in sight. I am with a girlfriend, and we are being accompanied by two guys. My girlfriend is talking a lot, explaining her new plan to "make" money. We arrive at a clearing in an alleyway. There is a table, with a machine on top if it. She has apparently found this machine, and this machine actually "makes" gold coins! The machine is made up of all types of contraptions that go all the way down the table and end with coins dropping into 4 five gallon (20liter) buckets that have somehow been screwed in under the table. You have to unscrew the buckets to get the product out. I actually watch liquid gold run through the contraption and I am amazed. I begin to think that this is dangerous, and ask more questions about how this came about. The guys unscrew the buckets from underneath the table. Wow, 4 big buckets of gold coins!

And then, through conversation, I find out that people are after that machine! A dangerous gang of thugs is lurking in the background and they ambush us. Our guy friends manage to take two buckets of coins to safety, but the thugs take two. My friend hides a little stash under some old clothes on the table, and nobody bothers to look there. We all run around a corner, and I find the doorway of a building. I open it, we go in and close/lock the door behind us. Its a sturdy building door so nobody can come in. Has a hospital feel to it, except for the building has warm colors on a darker scheme (brown, gold, oranges, dim lighting); it's not white like a medical facility. We start to try to figure out what to do, but we are confused and panicked.

The gang stops trying to get in and they disappear. We start to look around the lobby and offices, which seem like lived-in hotel rooms. We try to get some rest and figure out what to do next. Our guy friends have managed to run off with the gold buckets, so its just me, my girlfriend and no gold.

I start to wander into one of the rooms, because I hear a noise. My friend says, "don't go down that hall- I think it used to be a psyche (psychiatric) ward". I wander into a room down the hall anyway, out of curiosity. When I open the door, there is a little girl with glasses standing in front of her bed. The room looks normal, only I am seeing everything in grey/blue scale. A weird blue light is cast over everything. She speaks to me, and calls me a name that I don't recognize. She tells me I'm from Texas, but I have a Louisiana spirit.
I tell her she's mistaken, that "<name>" isn't my name. She picks up a doll, smells it and looks up at me. At that moment, her eyes become completely black and she turns into a small dwarf man/monster. In a demon-like voice he says, "That's right! your name is <my name>". I panic with fear, and he starts to grow taller- really tall. I think part of me realizes this is a dream, but I don't wake up. I feel like its a threat that can be contained within the room. I say to myself, "oh, no no..this is not why I came" and I walk out of the room and shut the door. When I close the door, my fear is gone and I return to the room where my friend is waiting.

All of a sudden, the thugs are back, trying to get into the door. They tell us to open the door and give us the gold, because they have our kids. We begin to panic and we try to negotiate. We don't have the gold so we are freaking out. They end up taking one of the older kids, and I don't know what to do. We can see the alleyway from the small window in the door. There is a fence (?) on the left border. They throw the kid over the fence and we just begin freaking out. I am standing there crying uncontrollably for a solid couple of minutes because I don't know what to do.

My friend and I then realize that we have been in the thugs' hiding place the whole time. We can see a car in the street, so we begin looking for the keys. We are also thinking that we can still get the remainder of the gold from the table, to get kids back.
As this thought comes to mind, my dream shifts to third person and I am floating over the table. The clothes are removed from the hidden stash before me. I can see that my friend has placed coins in a bunch of little gift boxes for the poor.

I shift out of third person, because I am looking for keys inside the facility. In some attempt at a trade, the thugs have given us pieces of wood instead of car keys. I realize that the keys must be inside the facility somewhere. I search the lobby and find the keys on the shelf. I tell my friend we have to go.

We open the door and we run. We get into the car- and my dream shifts into third person. The car has been painted this metallic purple, and its all tricked out. I feel myself get into the car, but my when my vision shifts, I can only see her face and one part of the car...I can't recall seeing myself even though I know I got in.

      Notes:
Lots of obvious dream symbols that I won't bother to list. However, weird notes include:
-Two dreams in a row where two seemingly innocent people have morphed into harmful beings. (On 07/13 the homeless boy, and last night the little girl with glasses)
      - Why she smells the doll to recognize me is so odd. I have a very keen sense of smell IRL, though.
      -Gifts for the poor
      -Purple car
      - kidnapping
      - poor is also a theme for 2 nights in a row. (gifts for the poor and the homeless man)
    10. Look and you will find (there is gold in them der hills, yeehaa! )

A man investigates a space behind a wall in my parents house. It is a vast dark space, filled with an old railway line (dream sign).
He can be heard playing a large grand piano he finds there, nice accoustics.
He searches in a land that is cold and dark, the earth a kind of grey clay. He is unconcerned and swims in dark waters, wearing a wet suit.
Eventually he finds an old half ruined city. He is high up on some buildings, down below is darkness. One building, with the upper storeys tiered, smaller, is covered in millions of tiny gold objects.
He shows us this using a camera attached to a tube and a light, much like something used for nonenvasive surgery.
The gold he says is not wanted by anyone these days, people only want silver.
I begin plans to get hold of the gold, gaining access via a chimney. At work I make excuses and change into normal clothes and start the search. G shows me what he has found. A first room is cleared of obstructions by lowering all objects to the ground.
My father hands out large banners he is giving a tutorial about something. Meanwhile my mother is trying to wind an old silver carrage clock, with delicate silverwork. I turn the key and it opens magically at the top, an unfurrling of metal work, revealing a secret for me.

    11. Golden Latch

      by , 08-17-2015 at 02:17 PM
Morning of August 17, 2015. Monday.

In my dream, I find myself going through some sort of structure, somewhat church-like and fairly large. I do not recognize it as a real setting or composite. For some reason, I focus on the nature of “ordinary” people and puzzle over the functions of their minds, almost as if I am stumped by their potential of understanding something as simple as a half-black and half-white wall. I am trying to work out if typical human beings would understand that half the wall was black and half of it was white, and thus each being fifty percent of the wall. Somehow, I seem to think that this basic, simple realization would not even be accessed by most people and the majority of people would never even begin to understand. I get the impression that hardly anyone would see the wall as half black and half white even though it is, not even in any complex pattern (such as perfectly proportional static), but again a solid half on the left and a solid half on the right. No one would see it as it was.

I move through the environment and encounter a larger room that seems to be the realm of some sort of demonic entity, though not in any serious context. I have hardly ever dreamt of demons or devils in my life, and even when I have, it was always eventually comic-strip-like. (This does not mean I do not believe in the malevolent essences of certain types of people. Some people’s life purpose seems to be to solely cause trouble for others for whatever reason and to lie as much as possible about everyone else.)

No human being on Earth could even begin to “explain” one iota of how I have lived for over fifty years as I have. Certainly a “demonic” form would have no clue, either. At any rate, this “demon” I see from his left as he faces perpendicularly from me towards some sort of implied portal. I barely make out a sketched pattern on the white marble floor (which I think has light blue skewed teardrop patterns) that may be some sort of wagon wheel design (I do not think it is a hexagram or anything of that nature).

There is some sort of distorted plot that I can only basically describe. This more-human essence of what may be jealously and covetousness (and perhaps even static contempt - whereas a person might just as well be white noise in the scheme of things) does not really concern me that much. I had indulged in a long romantic interlude in real life prior to my dream after some “pretend to be human” playing around with my wife, and here this hopeless “demon” is - standing in a very large room, not even facing me, but looking at basically nothing and is actually what he has been apparently doing for centuries. How…boring. Demons, after all, are probably the most boring things in existence (no offense to Hot Stuff the Little Devil, whose dream-like adventures in Harvey comics I greatly enjoyed in my childhood).

      I am puzzled.

The demon only halfheartedly acknowledges me. “You,” he raspingly says and does not even turn about. He does not seem very assertive and certainly is not threatening.

I lift my right hand and see a glowing golden latch I am holding for an unknown reason. Oddly, it reminds me somewhat of the piece of the bottom door in my tall metal cupboard from my room in Cubitis (though the difference being it was matte metallic, not golden). I play with the latch for a short time, that is, I move the mechanism about and find it interesting.

“Even if you take this from me, I will just create another one,” I say, which seems to be an “understanding” at the very core of my being. The “demon” seems only mildly annoyed. I deliberately cause the latch to vanish (even though I am not lucid) and cause an identical one to appear in my right hand almost immediately. (I am not sure where the other one went - possibly onto a door somewhere.) I see that the “demon” (who reminds me somewhat of a shabbily dressed homeless person at this point) also has a latch, but it is rusty and frozen (nonworking).

The demon reminds me somewhat of those fake screw heads that have appeared on everything from cassette tape cases to radios and children’s toys. What is the point? One can only gawk in bafflement at the audacity of the inherent falseness where no screwdriver on Earth (even a fake one) would hope to “turn” the fake screw head, a hilarious example of mankind’s silliness. Some people are like that. That is, like the fake screw heads on an otherwise feasible cassette, where they look like an impressive screw head on the outside yet do not function at all.

No drama. My thoughts coalesce into abstract forms.
    12. Sacrificial Luge

      by , 07-12-2015 at 01:29 PM
We have crash landed in an unfamiliar land or world. I have some nice gold jewelry with me that I keep with me, we leave our plane while it is getting repaired. I spend time on my own each day with locals learning customs, especially enjoy frequent (daily?) rides in dugout canoes with the priests and priestesses down an under-mountain water luge. It is serious, but a fun ride! at the top there are always two canoes, and one female will ride to another tunnel on the left, lying in her canoe after we say goodbye ceremonially and head to the right. Everyone here is very fair, tall, blonde, and they all wear white. I believe the tunnel to the left goes through some falls to another part of city... One day, I have come to be so bored and tired of being there that I decide I will ride with the woman. They others try gently to dissuade me but I am adamant and they let me get in -- then my mate (handsome channing tatum type) shows up out of nowhere, gets very upset and says no, I can't go, and explains that those falls take the priestesses to their death, this is a sacrificial rite. Wish someone had bothered to tell me that earlier! I get out of the canoe, and say fine, but let's leave this place. He says we have no fuel. I go over to the old priest sitting nearby at a desk and give him a bracelet with orange stones in it -- ask him to fill up our plane in return. He says he can do better than that, and proceeds to give me a massive fortune in their currency (three small bags of white gold-like dust), explains that the stones in the bracelet are worth enough for me to live in luxury for the rest of my life. I agree, the bracelet was just a trinket to me anyways, and we leave.
    13. I can haz dream guide, and another moving dream

      by , 06-29-2015 at 09:11 PM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
I woke up into a lucid dream from sleep paralysis, and as I was laying there I saw a blue sky overhead. It morphed into different types of sky, like cloudy, rainy, night, day, etc. I tried getting up, but found myself anchored to my body, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't pull myself out of it. It felt like a rubber band, I'd pull forward and get snapped back. I finally closed my eyes and imagined myself bursting forth upwards, and even though I didn't exactly "burst forth", I still stood up. I looked down at my hands, and a few of my fingers were missing. I investigated my surroundings, because it looked like I was in a different house than usual. There were all kinds of strange things. Rooms that were creepy and worn down, staircases with picture frames on them that whizzed by at high speeds, and other stuff. There were so many doors to open! I kept exploring because I thought maybe the house represented something. As I moved along, I made it a little secondary priority to find Seru, because I've been wanting to make him my dream guide, figuring he could help me achieve my solar kamehameha quicker. I looked behind many doors and called out to him, but nothing. I opened one door and went into the room, and it was a pretty scary place. It looked like something out of Silent Hill. It was completely empty with stains all over the wall, and there was a single tiny window with metal bars over it. As soon as I realized I was a bit scared, I knew that meant something freaky would show up. First I attempted to leave through the window, but I couldn't phase through, nor could I punch out the wall. I heard something coming, so I flew up into the corner of the ceiling and stood still. A weird humanoid thing that shambled along came in, and it had a huge lumpy black thing in place of its head. It was a bit... terrifying. As I floated there by the ceiling where it couldn't get me, I thought "You know, this is a long ass lucid dream, and I'm not going to waste it hiding from scary shit. I'm looking for Seru and I'm exploring this house that may or may not represent my subconscious, so FUCK THIS GUY." and I immediately landed on the floor, marched up to the creepy thing, and said "FUCK YOU BITCH. Now you will tell me where Seru is or so help me I will kick your ass so hard!" ...it stopped shambling and turned toward a direction, so I left it and went off that way. Soon I came across an old guy lazing around on an armchair, so I asked him the same thing. He was absolutely no help whatsoever. Figured. I continued on, trying to control things, trying to summon things, but nothing worked. Nothing's worked at ALL lately. So I just gave up. I slid to the floor and just cried and cried, thinking what the fuck is the point of lucid dreams if I'm always trapped in some house every single time? I felt so friggin hopeless. While I was down there crying, suddenly someone came up from behind and wrapped their arms around me, and I was all "Great, now more scary shit's come to mess with me." But nope, I turned around and it was Seru, yay! Immediate tears-b-gone! He flew me through the house at super speeds and I tried to take in all the things around me, and then we both flew straight through the house and out into the open blue sky. I felt so happy to finally break free of the lucid dream houses. I know the whole being locked in the house thing symbolizes something, maybe one day I'll figure out what it is. But anyway, I totally got laid. Like, up in the sky. HELL TO THE YES. We... um, kinda went at it for a while, and I was thinking I'd wake up before I got awesome dream-orgasms. But I didn't! Then I asked him if he'd be my dream guide, and he gave me this little knowing smile, so... maybe? He seems to be able to break me free from the houses, so that would be nice. Plus possible solar kamehameha tutoring? I guess I'll find out in my next lucid.

I dreamt I just moved to a new place, but I couldn't get into the house, so I had to sleep in the pod. I climbed up on top of all of the boxes and laid down at the top, so close that my nose touched the ceiling if I shifted. I remember seeing a creepy spider web only inches away from me with multiple spiders on it, and it kinda freaked me out but if I didn't bother it then they wouldn't mess with me. In the morning, my cousin Janessa opened up the pod and saw me up at the top, and told me to get the hell out and called me stupid for sleeping there instead of elsewhere. I was annoyed she was bugging me, but tried to inch my way out, but I couldn't see my path and wound up getting my head stuck, so she had to push me out the way I came in.

I had a bunch of 'dream bits' as I started waking up in the morning. There was a group of people I was a part of, and we stole a bunch of gold, enough to fill up the entire trunk of a car. We were all excited and everyone left, leaving a girl and guy to watch over it. They kissed and took all the gold and fled. Then later I was at some restaurant to meet someone, it was some kind of shady deal. When I got there, the waiter at the front was embarrassed and said some other man who was at the table I'd reserved hadn't left yet. I realized it was probably who I was meeting, so I said it was okay and went over to sit down in the booth across from him. He was kind of shady looking with a business suit, and we waited for the other guy. The other guy came, and he was super handsome with blonde hair and a chiseled face, and was also wearing a suit. I don't know what we discussed. At some point, someone died. I think it was one of the people from the trunk gold.
    14. A gold mural on a cave wall

      by , 03-27-2015 at 12:53 AM
In a cave, a young modern couple were confronted by two women, guards of something sacred who'd been hunting this man down. They fought, and now those two sacred guards are lying on the ground, one unconscious.

The man rises to float slightly in the air, and the guard who's still conscious believes this is a sign he's about to kill her - but he just scoops up the woman he's with, carrying her in his arms, floats over where that guard is lying, and keeps going. He says to the guard, "Seriously, go away."

Then he phases through the cave wall, where a mural is painted in gold. As he passes through the wall, the guard momentarily sees a different face overlaying his, someone she recognizes and greatly respects - either a religious authority who's recently died, or a god, or both.
    15. Eyes of wolves, lax system of magic, liars

      by , 02-03-2015 at 10:42 PM
A man came across a woman seemingly sleeping in the forest, but when he approached her she spoke quietly, asking him to kill her quickly and to leave her mother alive, so that her mother could continue to feed the others. He's shocked by this, but that's because he's under the impression she's human. She's a wolf, she only looks human. She knows he came there to hunt them.

She's speaking to her mother, also human-appearing, and says she wants her next lesson to be that lesson - the implication is she's decided to marry that hunter.

The hunter speaking with two other men, also hunters, one of them saying, "You can't stay married to that madwoman."

The hunter sitting in the forest, chanting a prayer or a spell that talks about the eyes of the wolves. Although the rest of the dream had been in English, he's speaking Spanish here. As he chants, the forest around him seems to change - the shadows become darker, the moonlight becomes brighter, patches of glowing fungi appear around him. He's amazed and enchanted by all of this. He's not aware of this, but from my disembodied perspective, he himself also looks different - his eyes are faintly glowing gold, and there's a sort of shadow over him, as if looking at a photograph of him overlaid with a photo of something else. Behind him, a pile of vines and undergrowth heaves upward into the form of some great beast - he's delighted by everything now but I'm sure he'll be afraid when he sees this.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

I'm talking with a wizard from another world over tea. He's brought some of his people here as a sort of emergency hideout, and he's concerned about them picking up bad habits while they're here, to the extent that he's got them camped out at the bottom of the hill instead of in the house with me. He describes my form of magic as 'lax' and not something he wants spread to his people, which I find ridiculous for all sorts of reasons - for starters, when we'd first met he'd been seeking my help with some murderous wannabe dark lord type. I'd put a compulsion on the man to prevent him from taking human lives, which seemed such an obvious solution, I can't believe he couldn't manage it on his own. And really, as far as I can tell his world's form of magic just requires you to say the right nonsense words in the right order to express what you want, so if you're going to talk about laxness and discipline, that seems lax as hell to me.

But in any case, while we're talking about the arrangements for his people, two guys from my world come into the room. They're trying to avoid getting into trouble with their boss - they'd claimed to be unable to carry out some duty on account of being busy elsewhere, which was a lie. Now their boss is on his way to the house and will certainly sense their presence, and since I've already got a portal open, I wouldn't mind if they ducked through until the coast is clear again, would I? Fine, fine, I wave them through. That wizard objects strongly, but for crying out loud, those two aren't going to corrupt your world's magic system in a few hours, it'll be fine.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

In the American western desert, me and an older man are standing next to a car, watching a group of police vehicles pull up. We're going over a few last details before we talk to them. At the moment I'm telling him about a body I'd left floating in a pool of a private home. I see a mental image of it as I describe it, struck by the way his legs had stayed bent underneath him even as he started to float in the water. That older man says he already knew about that one. That's everything then.

He says there's a saying, "The liar does two steps worse." Do I know why that is?

I say I don't know, but then I look where he's looking. His family's just gotten out of one of those police cars - his wife, his daughter, and the daughter's boyfriend. They're looking around, haven't seen us yet with all the confusion around the scene downhill. It's clear to me they're the meaning of that saying. Lie to the people you care about and you lose them even if you're still physically present - you've separated part of yourself from them.
