    1. A glitch in the Matrix...Cars meshed with horses

      by , 04-17-2019 at 02:32 AM
      15/04/2019 - Non lucid - Choline

I was in the old west and using an old fashioned camera to take picutes through a window half way up an wooden stair way.
The stairs had two turns leading to the top floor, the wood was stained pine wood or a dark colour. I took several pictures over what felt like a ten minute period of the street from above via the window, one set of stairs up on a short walk way.

The photos came out quickly like a polaroid and where there were horses in the pictures they had cars or different types mixed in with them much like a computer glitch when you see a character sitting halfway in a chair or standing halfway through a wall.

For some reason this depressed me a great deal (it broke the magic?) and I left the building. The dream merged into dreamless sleep.
    2. Stage Coach Ride and Dinosaurs

      by , 08-03-2018 at 07:24 PM
Morning of August 3, 2018. Friday.

Reading time: 53 sec. Readability score: 59.

For my dream induction (deliberate entry), I decided to be in a stagecoach in primarily an afternoon setting. It is a relaxed and passive dream self incarnation. The sense of movement is very realistic at this stage of vestibular system correlation (a factor of all dreams at this level of consciousness, though typically related to flight). At times, ambiguity enters the sequence, and it almost seems like I am riding in a fast-moving car, including the external ambiance. I maintain the stagecoach setting as Zsuzsanna and our second-youngest son are seated across from me.

I see dinosaurs through the window off to my left, including a triceratops, and cannot determine if the stagecoach is traveling through time or an animatronics display in what might be a ghost town (modeled after the “Gunsmoke” set). It seems “safer” to make it an animatronics display, though not as adventurous.

I see an orange Volkswagen Beetle parked under low-set branches as if left there long ago. I think of it as “my” old car, but it is a false memory in part. In reality, I only had a big remote control model of one when I was a boy (that my father gave me for Christmas). It ran on real fuel. I mostly made it go in a circle in our big front yard in Cubitis.

    3. #209 - War / Cops / Ancient tortoises

      by , 03-13-2016 at 07:45 AM (The Oneironaut's Odyssey)
      Dream 1 - War
The context of the dream was that we were in the Middle Earth universe and there were elves who refused to help the mortal races or something.
A female elf similar to Arwen had joined Rohan's side in a skirmish to convince her father, the elven king of (Mirkwood maybe?) to join their side. I remember a huge amount of mounted horsemen charging forward, lead by the elf girl, for some reason we were absolutely thrashing the elves and storming through them. There was another elf on our side and he somewhat resembled Legolas. They began to route and after continuing to chase them the only one left was the elf king. He reached the forest edge with the Rohirrim right behind him and started skirting the forest instead of going into it. The reason was because soldiers began to emerge from behind the trees, and at this point I remembered that we had established reinforcements in the forest to ambush the elves. From the group of horsemen in pursuit of the king, the elf girl shot out on a white horse really fast. As an elf she is supposedly meant to be really fast on horses or something . She dismounted the king but he continued to fight, that male elf leapt after him and began freezing his legs with a stream of ice magic. The king was resistant to magic and the ice was rapidly thawing, though it still slowed him enough for someone to grab him. The king continued to resist, his elven pride relentless, and then I woke up .

      Dream 2 - Cops
      Spoiler for Warning, R18(ish) content!:

      Dreams 3 - Ancient tortoises
I was somewhere with a small fungi-covered tortoise that could talk, we were outside and the scenery was bland. There was some dream-context to this, we were meditating to reach some sort of state or possibly just a certain age. The tortoise left at one point to head to the place where all the ancient tortoises go when they've reached that 'level'. I think I headed there with him, but my memory gets a little confused here.
I'm at the place where tortoises go, but only when I get there do I actually know that it's the place where tortoises go. I look around and realize that what at first look like a green-fungi ridden stone was actually another ancient tortoise.
"That must be your dad?" I asked the tortoise.
"No, that's my wife. She did get to meet my dad before moving here though" the tortoise replied, I guess that means that his wife is a bit older than him?
Looking around I can spot about 5 more tortoises sitting still. The scenery is like a desert, there's a palm tree in front of me and some small green tussocks of grass that are around too. It looks like the Sahara meets Tropical rain forest, though with more sand? The reason the tortoises come here is because of the old man sitting cross-legged near the palm tree on a little sandy slope. His hair is white and his skin is a deep tan. He's really old and looks quite withered, I know that he wouldn't respond if I tried to get his attention and for some reason I the thought of even talking to him doesn't seem possible anyways. Like he was god or something?
The confusing part in my memory is that now I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing the journey towards where the tortoise and I were heading. The tortoise isn't there this time, and I'm walking through jungle that has some sand scattered on the ground here and there.. There's maybe 2 other people with me as well. The jungle is really dangerous, everything seems alive and at one point a plant opened up revealing these thin long vines with little sharp jaws at the ends, I clambered away from it as it tried to nip me. Straight after I looked up a slope to where we needed to go, just beyond would be the end. I remember seeing 'me' climb it, but from 3rd-person. At the top was a wooden log and I fell on my ass for some reason, only to have a GIANT python land next to me! I clambered up over the log and ran for it. The python didn't even bother noticing me .
    4. [Non-Lucid] Onions and Alligators

by , 03-02-2016 at 10:18 PM (SilverDreams' Reality Journal)
      3/3/2016

In this dream I'm with a guy, apparently my boyfriend(?) , at the train station/prison hybrid where he is being kept prisoner. I'm pretty sure I'm there to ask him about alcohol to take with me out with my friends, since I'm fairly broke and haven't got enough money to buy my own and It's a necessity if I'm not going to feel uncomfortable the whole night. He tells me there's some in his apartment and I go upstairs, there are scumbag inmates all over the place calling to me, mocking me and whatnot.

"Hey, what room was yours?" I call down to him over the railing of the upper floor.
      "It's 505!" He shouts back.

A woman slides up beside me and opens the door slightly, presumably to demonstrate that It's unlocked.
"Does he always leave his door open like that?" I ask her, and wonder if she even knows him.

She shrugs, and I push open the door. There are no drinks any-where, I look over counter tops and inside a bedside table before determining that they must be under his bed for some reason. Surely enough I'm right, and I pick up a small flask of vodka, a larger bottle of whiskey and some absinthe and stuff them into my bag. I leave the apartment, but now I have a new problem. On the ground floor, right next to my boyfriend and the staircase down, there's a warden patrolling. I walk low, and try to descend the staircase without drawing any attention to myself. It's no use, and I am caught. He rummages through my bag, not seeming to care that I don't belong here, and finds a tube of skin cream. He accuses us of using it to get drunk, which we vehemently deny. He takes it away, and sentences me to prison with the rest of them. I jump down off the platform and onto the train tracks, stretching out ahead of me is a dark tunnel. I begin running down the tunnel, the warden screams at his officers to capture me, but I manage to evade most of them
I run as far as I can before I can't run any further, two officers blocking my path, a nasty looking woman and another man.

"Make sure you close the door up ahead, the one that's unlocked. We wouldn't want him reaching the last gate and getting free."

I am dragged off to a separate section, which is for some reason a patch of outside, like a park or something. I go inside, and there are other prisoners there, none that I have previously met or know in reality. I sit down on a park bench, and notice there are horses and alligators everywhere. I talk to the other prisoners, I think there's a woman, a larger man and one or two other people with no distinguishing features. The warden of this section of the "prison" talks to us, and begins throwing out different colored pieces of garlic, which attracts all the alligators to us. I sit on the very back of the park bench and put my feet up, there's the female inmate beside me and she does the same. I ask the warden how long I'm going to be here for.

"Thirty years." She replies bluntly, throwing a purple onion my way.
"Thirty years?!" I ask in disbelief, and she nods.
"That's right, you're not getting out here until you're one hundred and thirty."

So apparently I was already one hundred years old but looked and felt like I was in my twenties. I became friends with the inmates around me, but felt very upset at the prospect of being stuck in this place. As far as I can tell I woke up soon after.

    5. Diomède's horses

by , 02-14-2016 at 02:50 PM (Here be dragons)
I'm in a rainforest, everything is dark green, from the foilage to the moss-covered trunks, the trees high enough that the sky is reduced to small swatch of grey between the branchs. There are grooves on the ground, incovering dark, red-tinged dirt. The path I'm walking on is narrow, cramped by the flora. It smells cold, like frozen stones and wet dirt. At the end of the path I find a clearing, with a herd of baie horses. There's lots of them, enough that the clearing feels overcrowned, claustrophobic. They aren't big or tall horses; I would call them ponies, but they don't have that king of build. I feel uneasy in the middle of them, nervous and restless.

Spoiler for you are what you eat:

I take a small step back, and suddently I'm surrounded with other horses; they are taller, with a more heavy build; golden palomino, with a bleached blond mane and light gold pelt; event their hooves are light-colored. The one closer to me stomps the ground, and I can feel it shake; the baie horses nicker and steps back, shaking their heads. I can feel the heat radiating from the golden horses, engulfing me. The one closer to me is holding its head at eyes level with me; it's eyes are black, fringed with almost white lashes.
I am holding a silver thing that looks like a big spoon or a laddle. I bang it against a nearby trunk; it makes the same kind of sound that the hoof stomping, but mutch deeper, the vibration rippling through me and the clearing. The baie horses step sharply back, shaking their heads and tails as if bothered by flies. I do it again, and they flee. The golden horses flood the clearing, and the light sees to be a little clearer.

I'm in a house overlooking the forest, with a woman and her very young daughter. The little girl starts complaining about tummy aches, before blunting out "I'm having twins!" the mother freaks out, but I somehow know that the one having twins is one of the golden mares. It seem to calm down the woman, and get go downstairs. The kitchen is flush with the forest, and there are horses wairing for us. I search the frige and get two apples out, handing the biggest one to the woman. She's nervous, afraid that the mare will chomp her fingers. I show her how to give them the fruit, making my hand nice and flat with the apple in my palm. The horse I'm offering it to take a big bite out of it, chew a little then come back for the rest, its nose soft and velvety. I hear the loud craking sound of the apple being chewed up and there's some crumbs in my hand. I brushes them off and see that the woman managed to give her apple to the other horse just fine.
We mash somes medicinals herbs and clay together and looks for the pregnant mare. It turned into a young woman, and her belly is so huge she can't move from the bed she's sitting on. I give her the mix, and she start covering her swollen stomatch with it, sighing in relief. Her skin is so streched I can see her veins running under, and the pulse of the blood in it.
    6. Back on the horse

      by , 10-24-2015 at 05:53 PM
I've gotten really lax about making regular dream journal entries. I know they're really important for lucid dreaming... even if all of my dreams aren't lucid.

I honestly don't remember much about what I dreamed about last night, possibly because I woke up because my neck hurt. No lucid last night, though.

I don't remember a lot. I remember a color theme of dark blue and blue-black. My lack of memory isn't surprising, since those colors might mean that I spent time in a dim dream without much detail.

Something about an outfit or costume someone gave me. Something about putting on black striped leggings/tights. The original pair got shrunk in the dryer, but in the dream they fit again.

There may have been horses. I'll think about it throughout the day, and maybe fragments of it will come back to me.

    7. White Fury

      by , 09-15-2015 at 08:38 PM (Nyctophilia)
I stood in the dirt-floored traces of a wooden barn. There are stables all around me and a high ceiling which may surely be infested with bats amass. I stood in simple dark clothing, as I remember. There were chains around me, binding my arms and holding my wrists to my chest. My feet were weighed down with shackles, the rattling of the chains was incredibly loud.

Behind me was a large brown horse, one whom I am familiar with in real life. One belonging to a dear friend. Yet, behold, in front of me there was a powerful white horse, one whom I have never met. There is steam pouring from the nostrils of the hoofed beast, and there is the presence of another friend whom I know in the waking world. I am given the concept that he has trained this horse to fight and it intends to kill the horse behind me and will stop at nothing to complete this. Even if that includes tearing me apart.

The horse storms forward and I struggle in place. However, just in the instant before death, I rip the chains from me like paper, miraculously. The horse rouses on its hindlegs and I deliver a strong blow with my fist to its underbelly, knocking it down. I look back to observe the brown damsel-of-a-horse which I have saved from the snow-furred fury. To heartbreak, I find no one behind me. Not even tracks in the dirt below; only the still doors of empty stables.

    8. A white horse and rider

      by , 12-05-2014 at 07:08 PM
There's a man, some kind of ruler, lying in his sickbed, potentially his deathbed. He's speaking to two servants to either side of his bed. Circumstances are forcing him to return to a place he'd once tried to conquer many years ago, but had been forced to turn away from at the last minute. His servants think returning now will be a disaster, given his health. But he's inspired. He says that when he first marched on that place, he'd felt he was approaching the height of his power. As though if he'd reached that place, he also would have reached his dream of creating something that would change the world. I want to use the word 'technology' here, but that gives the impression of some new gadget - what the ruler is after is something as revolutionary as the invention of writing. His statement makes one of the servants focus on the symbol the ruler is wearing around his neck. It's a gold star with 14 rays, arranged much like a jack, the toy, or like a three-dimensional version of a compass rose. I, disembodied, think of alchemy.

There's a white horse and rider walking through a hall of the palace. An extremely agitated servant is trying to get them to leave, but the horse and rider brush him off. They walk through a pair of wooden double doors, into a room where the ruler who'd been in his sickbed is now up and in military uniform, going over maps. The setting looks significantly more modern than I'd thought in the previous scene, maybe as late as the 1800s.

The ruler reacts about as you'd expect when a stranger on a horse walks into your room. The rider asks, "Don't you recognize me?" And his face changes - now he's identical to the ruler. "Though when we last spoke, it was more..." And his face changes again, growing younger. Very little changes, really - skin's a bit tighter about the jawline, mostly. The rider reaches up to feel that jawline, and compliments the ruler on how well he's aged. Perhaps that's the result of easy living. This is sarcasm - an accusation. The rider says "we" expected greatness from the ruler - but what has he done with their gift in all this time?

The rider says, "We convene in the morning. I expect you there." And he leaves.

    9. Cross motorbike and someone in the attic.

by , 11-24-2014 at 09:20 AM (Tomas's DJ - "Exploration of the inner Self")
      This is a reoccurring dream.

One of the first things I remember was that I was somewhere near PEPE and there was a rally going on. I had a feeling that I was parking a car, but in fact I parked a knife... the old grey knife that we used to have in the kitchen. Strange. I parked it near some bushes.

Then I went up where the cars were racing. I cannot remember whether I saw any, but I think I did.

Next thing I know, I am on a cross motorbike riding across the fields behind Drzkov. There are two girls on horses. I think I knew them at the time, but cannot remember now. I am sure one of the horses is the old, nasty Magda - Popelnice s artrozou. They start racing me and I am somewhat slower than them. I now that this is not my bike and that my bike is stronger. With mine I could have outrace them.

      NEXT

I am at home with my sister. There is no one else. Suddenly I hear some noises from the attic. Steps in fact. I look at my sister, and we exchange looks such that we know we have to go and look what it was. I take a knife... again the old grey knife. I walk in to the lobby and the door upstairs slam closed! We both jump and are little frightened. My sister a lot. I start walking up the stars and I can feel my sister shaking violently.

Then I think to myself, how am I going to walk in without the person attacking me, or kicking the knife off my hand? (at this moment I wake up a little bit... but I go back to sleep as I want to finish this).
I call some friend that I know has a pack of wolfs or dogs or so. He then walks up the stairs, the wolfs are all excited and ready to attack pulling the leeds.

      I wake up....
    10. Horses (yep, again)

      by , 10-25-2014 at 05:43 PM
So, I wake up three times this night - at around midnight, at around 3:30am and at around 5:30/6:00am - but can remember only one dream. And I can remember some images of an other dream, but I can't tell what's happening.

So, I was in a equestrian center. They gave me a horse. It was white (or a light color). But it was too tall and I couldn't ride it. So I was searching for help and I found a girl. But the girl was a little weird, like she was wearing wedges and the sole of these wedges was almost 2m high. I can't remember what she told me. After that, two girls came with their parents and two horses. These horses were tall enough for me, so I could ride them. I choose a brown one. I rode it and went with the others. One of them was a girl of my first middle school. Her name is Préscillia and I haven't see her for like 4 or 5 years, and I wasn't even close to her... After that, I think I woke up, because I don't remember anything else...

    11. Woman on a pier

      by , 10-20-2014 at 08:23 PM
Disembodied, I'm looking at a woman standing on a pier some two hundred or so years ago, facing away from me, looking out to sea. She makes a striking image, her black hair and her long dark skirt in stark contrast against the bright grey of the clouded-over sky and sea. There's music being played badly. The men she's been staying with or traveling with are having a going-away party for her, but she's stepped away from it for a moment.

The scene changes to the place she's headed - a man's riding a horse recklessly fast over hilly terrain, playing what he refers to as a game of tag with her.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

After a few other dream scenes, I'm back to that woman on the pier. This time she's turned around, talking to one of the men from the party. He has a going-away present for her, two small dark objects that he presses into her hands, something that I think of as 'artifacts.'

    12. Fragment

      by , 10-05-2014 at 03:05 AM
I'm a man traveling together with an old friend and several people I've met more recently - we're on a mountain road covered in snow, leading horses. A few red berries on the branch we're passing underneath caught my eye, everything else is bare. I'm thinking about the place we've just been turned away from, feeling annoyed. We were counting on this letter written by the head of a monastery to convince the master of some estate or something along those lines to let us stay there until the snow melts, but there was some trouble with the man the letter was addressed to. Right now I'm walking next to a blonde woman dressed in red who's worried about food. I cheer up as I talk to her, and I'm saying that food won't be a problem for tonight, "Dieter and I found a veritable mountain of-"
    13. The Black Rice Farmers

by , 09-26-2014 at 07:14 PM (Lucid Time!)
I can remember fighting for lucidity during some dream about driving down a dark road at night. I could also tell that I was partially awake as I could feel my waking life body back in bed. I was flying, and doing pretty well. I could feel my DG's presence as well. After a few minutes the dream ended and I woke up.

I am watching a history program, something to do with a man who was famous for leading an army and conquering a large area of land. The man looked a little like king Henry, but I was told that he was not in fact king Henry.
So anyways, his army is cutting a swath across the countryside when they come across this small tribal village that grows some kind of black rice. The village is in this river valley surrounded by these tall exotic trees.
The king Henry conqueror seized the village instantly. The women were raped, then killed. The children were taken to be brought up as soldiers. The men were enslaved and forced to continue farming the black rice as it was very nutritious and helped the conqueror's soldiers fight better.
I can recall the narrator of the show talked about how the slaves were actually paid in dirt. This was a joke done by the conqueror's soldiers as more dirt meant that they could farm more.
I can remember some shots of his army being stationed in the village. They have this massive wooden tower on wheels that the conqueror rides in. The tower is also equipped with catapults.
      ...
The dream glitches and I become one of the conqueror's soldiers who is responsible for watching over the slaves. I guess the dream made a mistake there, because unlike the conqueror, I actually had morals.
I come up to one of the men while he works in the feild. I think he was the leader of the village. If not, he was important to the farming village. I 'Remember' there is another village that we did not conquer because it was high in the mountain, and did not normally make contact with the outside world. I tell him I will lead him to a safe village high in the mountain. He says he wants to gather the rest of the men in the tribe and escape with whoever is still alive. I tell him that it is too dangerous as the other soldiers still want control of the village.
      ...
I recall seeing some of the black rice in my hand. The dream glitched a little here. I can also recall that for some reason, there is this big mound of sand in the middle of the black rice farm.
      ...
The man tells me that I have somehow 'worthy' of his trust, even though we haven't gone anywhere yet, and I begin to lead him out to the edge of the fields. Once we make it into the jungle, we can feel a bit safer because we are not as easily spotted. We walk along the edge of the river, following it upstream. At one point, there is a massive stone bridge/dam that we must cross in order to continue. The bridge is broken at one point, and we must jump across. The man I am helping goes first. I am a little afraid that I cannot make the jump, but I manage to do so as well.
After I land, I am taken OOB and see myself and the man. We begin walking upstream again. Faster now, and knowing that soon we will be climbing a mountain.

I become partially lucid and realize that I am losing the dream but am fascinated by the story that is playing out, and I really want to see what happens next. I manage to hang on a little longer.
Some of the conqueror's men are heard coming, on horseback. It's just a random patrol. We duck behind these standing stones that are nearby, hoping that they do not spot us.
    14. Ride like the wind

      by , 09-27-2013 at 04:18 AM (Keitorin's Dream Log)
I was watching from as if behind a rider’s eyes as he rode his horse. They jumped over many obstacles that got progressively harder (at one point, fences), and I marveled at it, wondering how the horse didn’t get worn out.

It switched to an omniscient view. Apparently I’m spying on the rider as he’s delivering a package. It’s a really long piece of metalwork, and I wonder how he’s carrying it without any issues, but after watching him, I see that he’s keeping it well in hand, even though it’s almost longer than the horse.

They arrive at a pen, and the horse jumps over the enclosure - I see Spice sleeping on the dirt ground, but the horse jumps over him with ease.

Me and a woman are there waiting, sitting behind some kind of square crate. I look over and see that Spice is a few feet to the left than where he was before.

Notes: I have ‘ride a horse’ on my goal list but hadn’t thought about it much lately. So to have this dream out of nowhere was amazing. Feeling the horse jump over obstacles and running was an amazing feeling. I hope to have another dream like this!
    15. Evading death

      by , 08-04-2013 at 10:59 PM
3rd person dream following a character shortly after his mother's funeral. This man believes he's just been 'granted a power to evade death.' He's currently out riding with the woman he used to be engaged to and his closest friend, who is now pursuing that woman himself. Watching the two of them together, he decides there's nothing here for him and turns his horse away, thinking about traveling.

Years later, the same character is white-haired and recording his memoirs, dictating them to a recording device. He's describing that 'power or curse of evading death' and his wife, who'd been listening, rolls her eyes. She's heard that story of his before. Losing interest, she leaves the room. In his dictation, he's just started describing the moment he was summoned to his mother's deathbed, to take the last of her life and inherit her power. As he speaks, his dead mother appears in the room. This is something he's used to, although he's the only one who can see her, and although she hasn't appeared very often recently. She dislikes watching him let himself grow old. But he's only allowing himself to age as long as his wife is alive, so they can grow old together; after she passes away, he intends to go back to feeding off other people's lives. Still dictating, he remembers the last words of advice his mother had given to him on her deathbed: 'In this life, do not just feed. Remember to dance.'
