    1. First real lucid dream

      by , 01-13-2016 at 08:19 PM
So I tried this product I found on Amazon called "Dream leaf". I tried the alternative method which says take the red pill the first night and the blue pill the 2nd (because the first method involved waking up 4 hours later to take the red pill) also on the 2nd night I took about 2-3 10 mg of melatonin and I entered the dream world. At first it was a normal non lucid dream, I was standing next to this white 2 story house and I had a ladder in my hand looking up at the open window and this ladder was one of those single sides ones you put on the wall to climb up but instead I put it perfectly vertical not attached to anything and started climbing and I set my hands on the final rung and looked over at the window about to jump through it and I stopped myself and my train of thought and I looked forward and said "wait, this doesn't feel right." "I think I am dreaming...." "Yeah I am dreaming." and then I said I was going to find out for sure so I stood with my feet on the last rung with perfect balance and stared at the ground. I did have 2nd thoughts however I jumped head first anyway and I started to fly and I flew higher and higher and I was in the clouds, I flew over cities, forests, beaches and the ocean and I changed the sky to dusk with beautiful purple and orange clouds. Finally I "woke up" but it was in a different dream and this time I didn't realize I was dreaming.
    2. Adam and the desert

      by , 11-26-2015 at 08:55 PM
Earlier, was just lucid enough to deliberately fly upward with the intent of getting a wider view, instead lost visuals and wound up in a completely different scene, losing lucidity.

Standing on a ladder outside a suburban home, the wind shifts, hot and dry, a sense of the desert that's going to claim this place and incorporate it into my people's territory. I'm the one who led them to this place, but I feel conflicted now. I excuse myself to the man who'd been holding the ladder, and go inside to take care of some loose ends. There are too many signs of how personal an interest I've taken in this world, learning their language, getting much too attached; I should dispose of that evidence.

Elsewhere, among the troops, I'm speaking to one of them on behalf of a man in this world, Adam, trying to make sure they take care when they process him. I say I've never seen a dreamer with power like his before. Which is true, but I'm also being careful to phrase it in practical terms, downplaying any personal attachment. I have to stress the importance of him as a resource not to be wasted. The man I'm speaking to agrees that they'll be careful, but I don't think he's really paying attention, just brushing me off. I end the scene flying back to that suburban house, desperately searching for Adam.

The following scene focuses on a brother figure chiding me for hanging onto a ghost.
    3. Rescue mission

A woman's just rescued two men and they're currently escaping through a series of underground tunnels. She's just shoved one of them up a ladder, to a manhole leading out of this tunnel, but apparently that's her limit - she collapses onto the floor, which is a sort of metal grate over water. I can see blood on her face. The other man says, teasing about the way she's been telling him to just let her handle things this whole time, "This is your plan? To lie here and bleed to death?"

She says, "See, I knew you wouldn't be down with the plan."

He picks her up and carries her up the ladder. I switch to first person, from the POV of the man she'd shoved up the ladder before; we've climbed up to the level of the subway tunnels that are currently in use. We walk along the tracks for a while, and just as we reach a platform - currently empty, though I'm aware people could show up at any moment - we hear a train in the distance. I have to help both of them up onto the platform, he's so tired from carrying her, and I'm thinking about how we each keep exhausting ourselves to pull the other two up. I climb up after them, and collapse on the stairs, exhausted, listening to the train.
    4. Asylum for Gifted Children

by , 04-10-2014 at 12:18 PM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
      NOTES:

Had an interesting dream this afternoon after drinking a cup of coffee (instant cappuccino). I went to sleep meditating — focusing on breathing, but I let the playlist continue. I did not expect it will loop, so when I woke up hearing it, I just flowed into meditating again.
I set the alarm for 1 hour and 50 minutes. 90 minutes (1.5 hours) for the REM cycle, 14 minutes for the time it takes to fall asleep, and 6 minutes to set up the meditation sound, adjust bed, whatever.

      DREAM:

I dreamed I was in a mental asylum for gifted children. I saw an adult patient trying to choke another with a pillow. It was dark or shadowy. Not night, but it's like the blinds are down. "I" ran, I think trying to escape.

I ended up in something like World of Warcraft location, facing a crossroad where skeletal beings and wraiths go back and forth on the road that goes towards and away from me, while on the road crossing it are cars speeding from right to left, seemingly unaware of the creatures. There's a hut a little to my right with some people in it. Once in a while, one creature would walk almost right to the hut, but only stay outside the window.

I climbed on the roof and watched while a couple of creatures attacked, telling one person/kid on the ground to go around the hut, not realizing until then that there were two creatures attacking.

We climbed up the building nearby with exterior ladders and ended up in a large dorm room for the gifted. "I" (because it's more like I was looking through the kid's eyes) tried talking to them that night when they're asleep because I was too shy.

We "escaped". It seems like it was an experiment, and the guy who tried to kill another was an actor. I met him outside the "walls" but I still felt the shock. I moved on eventually, with me and a friend taking a huge 10-wheeler-like truck, but with 4 huge tires (reaches up to the roof of the truck) instead of 10 small tires. We crossed a bridge.
    5. Christmas Tree Attic Fire

      by , 06-06-2013 at 12:06 PM
Morning of June 6, 2013. Thursday.

In my dream, we are back living in Brisbane. Our house is different and does not have higher steps, the inside being much like our real place there, but the front porch area being most like the King Street boarding house with the upstairs apartments. Our son Lorenzo is playing with three younger blonde girls, racing around inside and out, who are happily going in and out of our house while being yelled at by a slightly older girl not to be in our house. They are dressed very formally with fancy hairstyles, as if for a formal event for the very wealthy.

I soon notice that something dramatic is going on next-door; there are a lot of people, for some reason, standing on top of wobbly old wooden step-ladders, watching the action as if at some sort of baseball game at the park. The house next door is on fire, but I do not see any actual flames or smoke. It seems that a Christmas tree had somehow caught fire in their attic. The people with the hose (no firemen around, but a couple policemen in black wandering around not doing anything) are aiming the water up and directly through the small attic window from a fair distance away. I hear a young couple crying loudly and holding their hands together, but there does not seem to be anything to really cry about, as I see no actual damage anywhere at all.

It seems strange that all these people are just standing up on ladders and balancing on the fence just to look at that house when nothing is really visible, even the supposed fire. I call out sort of absentmindedly to the nearest man standing atop a step-ladder, “Oh, I didn’t even know about this…”, but most of these people seem more amused or entertained than having concern for the owners or tenants, even though it also seems they were there to help at first.

I become semi-lucid and notice something strange regarding perspective. Their house, on the side nearest to our house, seems to go past my line of sight towards and behind me - to seemingly take up the same space (from my viewpoint near the corner of our house) as our house would otherwise be, an “impossible” perspective, yet somehow at the same time, it also seems to be a completely empty region or undefined area where neither house is.

This last part with the ladders relates to typical waking metaphors. Someone on a ladder relates to getting closer to waking consciousness, a fire relates to growing conscious awareness, and something going through a window implies leaving the dream state. The water though, indicates a subtle desire to become lucid (though goes through the window instead, similar to the “water getting lower over time” waking metaphor).
