    1. 19 Aug: Strange delivery at home, colony on extreme weather planet

      by , 08-19-2022 at 07:20 PM (Lucid-schizo-dreamer)
      non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid FA / AP

At my home, but it functions as an extra-curricular activities centre. Kids are being looked after by a couple adults. Outside, my dogs are getting in trouble at the gate. I go check it out and find Soraia escaped the fence and is somehow outside with two horses. Three people come by for a supposed delivery and I find it strange as I am not expecting anything. I don't let them come in. They say the delivery is for a Joana and insist on getting inside to hand it to her. I say she is my coworker and I'll get her and they are rude to me, saying they can't wait.

On some kind of colony in a harsh planet. It has beautiful beaches, but we only go outside in certain times and weather conditions. There are really sudden high tides among other extreme events and the sun is really deadly. One day I fail to get home on time and get caught in a rising tide and upcoming high sun radiation. I see another person at risk, with a small kid, and I try to help them out. I dont succeed, but they are lucky and they escape. I, on the other hand, end up near a cave where I seek shelter. I find inscriptions on the cave and a bunch of leafs from a tree floating on a little puddle of water. The inscriptions talk about an ointment from those leaves, which make for an amazing skin protector and I decide to try it. It is truly miraculous and from then on it allows anyone to freely move outside during the day and even go to the "red" side of the planet, which is scorching hot and unhinabitable.
    2. The Moon above a Grove of Palms

by , 12-09-2018 at 07:41 PM (The Fourth Factor)
As usual, I seem to have become aware that I’m dreaming without being able to remember how it happened. I’m in a house along with two other people. I believe that they’re other dreamers—not sure now on what basis.

In one part early on, I’m looking at a still scene in front of me, like a picture. It takes me a couple minutes to puzzle out what’s happening in it. A young man is shown looking into a body of water like a lake. The sky is colorful and full of varied light, with a couple odd-shaped clouds in the foreground. I figure out that the cloud that looks like a unicorn’s head is going towards the cloud shaped like a dragon’s, which represents an attack on the sun by the moon, and the man is watching it through the reflections in the water.

When I’ve realized this, the scene comes to life in front of me. The clouds converge, and the sky darkens, with the moon appearing. It behaves strangely at first before taking up a normal course in the sky. The man gets up and heads in the direction it has gone. He’s going to try to fix the situation.

A lot of the dream faded from memory when I woke up, but in the subsequent parts, I was with the two dreamers. I only remember one person well, a guy. He is apparently already familiar with this legend—I get the impression he knows a lot of them.

At some point quite a bit later on, the others are somewhere else, fighting a monster of some kind. I guess some people don’t feel like they’ve really accomplished something unless there’s an epic boss battle at the end—but I just don’t find those things very interesting. While that’s going on, I’m standing near a grove of palm trees, above which the moon is floating in the form of a little, glowing crescent shape. Once we get ahold of that, we’ve won. According to the man, however, there’s something odd about the palm leaves, and a person will die if they touch them. But they just look like normal palm leaves to me, and so I figure I’ll take my chances with them. Anyway, I can fly in from above and avoid the leaves that way.

First step: make wings. I’ve been using shortcuts so much lately I figure that this time, I’ll do the full procedure like I used to. I stand facing my shadow on the ground, and will it to grow wings. Immediately, I see them unfolding, and unfolding further, out to their usual considerable span.

But this time—perhaps in response to my wanting to get a better view of what happens when I do this—there are also reflective surfaces nearby, although I can’t say now just what they were. I can see the wings themselves reflected in them—and since I’ve never set an intention for anything beyond generic wings, it’s a bit of a surprise to see how they’re turning out—red-gold in color, and faintly glowing. I climb up onto a nearby object—again, I can’t remember specifically what it was—and from there, hover over to the trees and grab the crescent moon.

In the process, though, I brush the tips of a couple palm leaves. And, perhaps because of that— or perhaps not— I soon find the dream fading around me until I’m in complete darkness. I’m still lucid, though. It feels as if I’m moving forward, but with nothing visible except for occasional faint shapes in the darkness, it’s impossible to tell—or, for that matter, tell how much time is passing. But after a while, I feel like it’s a good time to go back. I open my eyes, intending to be in the previous setting.

And I’m there, as before, and so are the two people. I can remember even less of this later part than I can the previous one—although I can recall the second person definitely being female in this one, whereas I can remember nothing at all about them from the first. There’s a series of events involving a deep pit filled with boiling water that opened up in the house. At some later part, the others seem to have lost lucidity. They're acting somewhat zombie-like, and are unresponsive to my efforts to get their attention. Not long after that, I wake up.

    3. Huge tire, subliminal dream signs

      by , 01-21-2017 at 12:49 AM
      20 Jan

I find myself on the street with a decent amount of awareness. Hey, finally, I note to myself, I am actually asleep and lucid. I cautiously examine the trash cans and trees in front of me. I know there is no time to lose and I have to get the 3 step tasks going. Step one is telekinesis. I look around for a movable object. There a tire hanging from one tree but it as I try to TK it, it gets larger and larger and actually is now part of a construction and totally unmovable. Okay, let's try something else. I spot couple of leaves on the street which easily move but I am not convinced as it could be the wind. Finally, there's a ball that I tk around for a while.

It's a bright sunny day and am in the middle of a small park. I recall I had another brief ld earlier in the night. It's time to get started on the next step of the 3 step task - use a device. Couple of DC boys hold what looks like a mobile, but I find it easier to use mine. I put my hand into my pocket trying to get the phone out. As I do this, I feel my physical eyes move excessively, which make the dream collapse. I believe I am back to my bed and give up (actually it's just the void with only tactile sensations).

I have a short FA near a cool pool on a very sunny day and the music is playing "bai zi hua bai zi hua", one of my other goals. I walk around non-lucidly though and soon wake up.
    4. Interpreting Tree Leaves

      by , 09-26-2015 at 11:29 AM
Morning of September 26, 2015. Saturday.

In my dream, I am focused on my childhood dream girl scenario. Though I now know her in reality as my beautiful wife Zsuzsanna, my long-term memory is not accessible (which in fact is typical in many dream types). I am perhaps about twenty-five years old.

I look to her right and notice we are probably either in an isolated forest or possibly a park. My attention becomes focused on what looks like writing superimposed on the largest tree in the foreground, each letter perhaps about the size of a leaf. I become semi-lucid yet distracted by the idea of “learning” something in a dream state by reading it, which is usually futile.

Just under that tree in the foreground, I see a brighter light, which I am aware is my conscious mind at one level, like a potential portal to waking from the present scenario. This intrigues me. However, the landscape “under” and beyond the tree seems slightly miniature. I am not sure if I can “fit” under the sky if I choose to walk in that direction. I may bump my head on the sun and possibly burn some of my hair off.

The “writing” on the tree becomes more annoying as I “realize” that I am not looking at letters of the alphabet even though I am. For a time, I think I am looking at horseshoes that somehow got thrown into the tree over time by enthusiastic horseshoe players. However, I eventually become aware that I am in fact looking at “letters”, but mostly only “C” and “U” in a random sequence. I reflect that this may be some sort of binary code and consider trying to “interpret” or decode it.

Strangely enough, my dream-self does not even become aware of the play on “CU” (as in “see you”) at any point even though I am quite lucid prior to fading. I decide to move forward to wake. The ray of sunlight reminds me vaguely of a yellow number two pencil from my school days, held up diagonally, writing intricate “shadow writing” over the path ahead.

    5. Death and Rats

by , 02-21-2015 at 07:11 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
It was night. I was looking up from the ground to the second floor of a house. It has the 3-D strategy video game feel, like Chrono Cross.

Somehow, we (me and my party) reached the second floor, inside a room. We were fighting a "monster." Somehow, I thought it was Death. It was simply glowing white but I saw the shape of a scythe. I jumped just as it slashed horizontally. Then I was watching the fight. I saw "Death" throw some kind of power. I caught it by pressing "k" and timing it properly. I used it to heal my allies and also to steal two items. I had to rearrange the items because my party's pouches are full. Somehow, that ended the game.

I was in the room. I was talking to people. One of our allies has a mask. She seems female. She has small white shirt that hugs her torso and tight white shirt/jeans. Her mask is all white, without any slits for the eyes or nose. She has long blond hair tied into two "ears." It would have looked freaky. In fact, I was surprised when I first saw her since I didn't know we had her in the party. I asked who she was. One of our party members (also female with brown curly hair, a Spanish look, and slightly shorter than masked woman) said she joined our team before the fight on the second floor. I somehow saw her climb up from the balcony and jumping in the fight at night, which was creepier. I forgot her soon after.

It's eating time (breakfast? dinner? lunch?). Everyone's around the table. I saw one middle-aged guy with a hefty belly and slightly long brown hair with a white tank top. (very cartoonish) There were so many of us that we could hardly fit around the table. While we were arranging ourselves, a balloon burst. Somehow, that made me a bit angry, but then it disappeared. For some reason, I thought that we were on a higher floor, and that the air pressure affected it. I thought of the formula 1/x.

There was also a vision of our fight before. Not sure if it happened before the fight with Death or after. We were outside. People were turning into rats: one person becomes many rats. It felt like a plague or a curse. I think a person gets bitten by something and it slowly turns him into rats. One guy, Emman, was there helping out/fighting whoever was the bad guy. There were two of them inside the van when I found them. One guy was already turning helplessly into rats. Parts of Emman was slowly turning into rat-like color and texture. I saw movement/bulging within his T-shirt. I helped him out. I think he was with us while eating (which triggered the vision?), so I think he made it. Still not sure how.

I was outside. It was sunny. I was running, not out of fear but out of fun. There's a wall ahead of me, and I jumped up and through the rails. There were trees and leaves all around on the ground, with sunlight filtering through the trees. I saw "myself" run up and through the rails/wall. I felt free. I thought of how other dreams felt like this.

      ---

      Notes:

      - Fell asleep while I was in front of the computer, supposedly to finish watching Week 3 of Game Theory.
      - I was supposed to eat lunch outside and buy groceries.
      - No alarm, no meditation audio
      - I just fell asleep. It was noontime.
      - I think I slept for 1.5 hours.

    6. Yellow-Rabbit-Egg-Thing and Leaf Pile Portals

      by , 11-30-2014 at 06:14 AM (The Kestrel's Dreams)
      November 29, 2014

I was at the school in which I am student teaching, and we were doing the reading buddies program we have (basically my 1st graders are paired with a 4th or 3rd grader, and they read together). There was this large egg-shaped rabbit thing. It was yellow, and would role around and bounce up and down. I'm going to call it Ralph for now.

So Ralph was rolling around the class helping out, and then the kids went to lunch, or a specials class. The room was empty, even the chairs and tables were gone. Ralph was glitching or something; he would jump up and down on a spot on the floor, doing the Mario Ground Pound, and would seem to go through it, at which point the floor directly under him would spin. He would get stuck in a few cycles of this, and then roll away. He would go do something, but every time he rolled over that spot in the floor, he would glitch.

I decided I wanted to know what was up with this spot, so I wanted to see what would happen if I went over it. I was aware that something was weird here, but didn't get to lucidity yet. I walked over the spot thinking I would glitch too, but I didn't. So I jumped and used a Ground Pound, and the floor gave way, spinning like it had for Ralph. I was falling down a long shaft. It was lit pretty well, but I don't remember seeing any actual light sources.

I landed in a large, rectangular room. Every inch of wall was lined with cupboards, drawers and two fridges (one at the corner behind and to my right, the other midway along the wall to my left). There were two eggs that looked a lot like Ralph. One was smaller than my first, the other was as big as my head. I picked them up and put the smaller one in my pocket, and somehow managing to also fit the larger one in my hoodie pocket.

I thought that Ralph would be happy to have younger ones of his own species (I assumed they were eggs for his species). I started looking through the drawers and cupboards, finding nothing much at first. As I made my way around the room, the drawers and cupboards started having things in them. By the time I reached the second fridge, the one in the corner, it had parts of toys in it. Like bags and bags of a single part of the toy, so you could make lots of them by putting the pieces together. There was also some sort of snack food in the fridge.

A colleague opened a door at the corner directly behind me, which I had not noticed before. They were calling me because the kids would be back soon. I turned and left the room, and was surprised to find myself in the hallway just a few doors down from the classroom I'd started in. How could I be in the same hallway if I'd fallen down that long shaft? I looked down at my hands and realized I was dreaming. I was aware enough to do a task.

I could have gone back to the classroom to tell the kids we were in a dream, but I didn't remember that task... Instead, I went to what I assumed was the door to the outside. I paused before opening it, trying to envision the kind of surroundings I wanted to see. I knew this place was supposed to be the school I teach in, but it was so different that it wasn't too hard for me to envision a new surrounding. One with more trees, and therefor more leaves.

I opened the door, and there was a long lane with houses on each side. All the houses had big front yards with big maple trees. Perfect! Some of the trees were bare, some were green, and some were orange, red and yellow. I think my subC didn't really have a grasp of different seasons being at different times. I did notice that the trees that were colorful seemed to clump together, as did the green trees and the bare trees.

It was almost like a temporal whatchamahoozit. Like there were different times at the different clumps.

Anyways, I walked over to one of the clumps of fall trees, and looked around. There were leaves on the ground, but no piles. I was too lazy to rake them up, so I decided to walk along the lane until I spotted the house of a more conscious leaf-raker. It didn't take long for me to find one. There was this big old yard with a decently large pile of leaves.

I stood next to the pile for a moment, and then decided to jump in it the way I do IWL. I stepped back a bit, and hopped through the air right into the center of the pile. At first it was just super normal. I was on my stomach, so I turned so that I was sitting up in the pile. I let myself fall back into the leaves, and then it was like every leaf was a gentle spark.

I could feel a lot of little tingles and waves on my back and the backs of my arms, and there was a sensation of sinking. I felt like I was being sucked in, and then I was completely surrounded by leaves. I stayed there for a moment, and then felt air on my back, and pulled myself up face down in a pile of leaves at my Oma's house.

      Leaf pile = dream portal?

I dinked around in my Oma's back yard for a bit but lost the dream pretty quick. I kept trying to remember another task to do, but couldn't before I
      woke up.

    7. My Totm: hostile takeover

by , 11-26-2014 at 03:56 PM (My smashed up joy ride of dreaming)
(Originally I was going to be fancy and copy paste leaves so there was a pile in my old dream, but that never happened)

I'm in a random blue room, lucid now. I gear up and start the seige on my neighbor's house. The sunset cought my attention. Normal autumn stuff, but it looked nice. Going back to the mission, I go prone on this hill about 80 feet away from the house. Silent sniping ftw! I'm not really all there anymore, and I kind of thought I'd reward myself by burning my eye using the scope and the sunlight. This somehow created a lot of smoke. The swat team came in and shot me a thousand times. I'm only semi-lucid now, and I matrix dodge. Too bad my dream-self has bad balance. I fall over into the treeline, where there were mass collections of leaves. END
    8. Leave the crate

      by , 11-19-2014 at 11:39 PM
      Date: 11 Nov

A great deal of strong vivid dreams (alas no notes for all taken or reviewed)

Nld frag: Some sort of cool TK practice and one of the DCs asks me how I have achieved such proficiency. My reply - I have practiced this a lot in dreams.

Mini wbtb: dreams were cool, so I had the desire to just sleep but forced myself to repeat a few mantras and reviewed the tasks.

LD: At our old home with mom in the corridor. There are little bugs that mutate into flies and we try to hunt them. After a while I leave the place and am in an unknown location with Chinese mint candy that is the cause of all the bugs. Once I open it, a little bug comes out and runs away to mutate.

There's a Chinese guy sitting next to another DC and I go to him to explain what happened before that.

Memory gap and scene transformation. I'm in what's supposed to be a dream version of a slightly familiar neighborhood. I greet a number of praying people, while flying around the corner. I continue on my way in this now nicely looking neighborhood, my awareness is gradually increasing to lucidity as I continue gently flying forward and up and down. I recall a recent conversation about flying and think about that for a moment.

Then I remember the totm about finding a pile of leaves and jumping in it and look around. There is a beatiful blossoming purple magnolia tree and lots of petals on the ground. Could that do? No, wait! It's supposed to be fall right now, but oh the tree looks great and a version with petal jumping would have been awesome too. I decide to scan the area for any proper for the season vegetation and see some leaves on the ground and a few piles of them. As I approach one of the piles, it diminishes in size, so I turn to another pile that is neatly gathered in a wooden crate.

At this point, I begin to feel the dream thinning so rush forward and jump into the crate. I fall inside with the leaves and the dream nastily generates a number of metal pieces where I hurt myself. I find myself in a fallen semi seated position thinking about all this. This has been one of the very realistic experiences where you actually jump, fall and hurt yourself. It feels very physical, with great proximity to real life sensations and aching feedback from all body parts and your position. The pain is more towards dull, but equally realistic. In this moment, I hope that the amount of sensory information would help stabilize the dream as is often the case, but the dream comes to its natural end.

I'm happy about totm, but feel sleepy and do a rather quick mental review.

    9. Snow, Lions, and Leaves (brief lucid, TOTM)

      by , 04-03-2013 at 12:36 AM
      Practices: ADA, RRC, WILD
Pre-bed: small piece of chicken and a cup of apple juice.
My stomach hurt pretty badly last night (unrelated to the food).
Set my intent for lucid goals (taste something, crush a rock into a diamond, go eat lunch with some friends).

#1 - It's snowy and I think I may be a little kid. I'm not sure. I live in an arctic environment. My house is made of wood and snow. We might be fighting someone - I don't remember. I remember something about bosses (as in, video game bosses) and people hiding underneath the snow that would pop up and attack you.

Woke up. My stomach still hurts. Used the bathroom.

#2 - I am in a check-out line chatting with another person in line. We're talking about Grand Theft Auto. I'm telling him about a mod someone made where you basically drive around as Simba from The Lion King. You don't have hands or anything, you just drive around the city as a lion. During the dream, I think it's hysterical because I'm imagining all the reactions people would have to a lion just chilling in a convertible at a stop light.

I wake up. I have to use the bathroom, and my stomach still hurts. I lie back down and begin WILD techniques.

This WILD, I did not have any HI and I did not feel the onset of REM atonia. I used to but it seems like lately I just don't pay attention or filter it out. I don't continue repeating my mantra while making a serious attempt at WILD because it actually distracts me too much. Sometimes I visualize and sometimes I don't, depending on how much I feel it's distracting rather than helping. This morning, I did not visualize.

I get a "lapse" in the middle of my WILD where I feel like I do lose lucidity, but my mind is so alert for any kind of dreams or dreamlets that as soon as a dream starts it will grab my attention again. So I actually do zone out for a while during most of my successful WILDs and I feel like it's why they're successful - you actually have to let your mind wander and dream to have a dream in the first place.

A "flash" catches my attention - a brief but super-clear and fully formed dreamlet. Normally they shock me awake because they come with zero warning - it instantly goes from blackness to a fully-formed landscape. Since I've been working on not letting them startle me, though, I was able to 'grab' this one:

I am in a basement bedroom of some sort. It's very clean, with white walls. I'm standing on the bed. There is a small window high above me that is letting sunlight in. The window frame is made of dark wood.

I bounce up and down on the bed, peering out of the window. It is a brilliant fall day outside and the trees are vivid red and orange. There are leaves all over the ground; some dried and brown, others still brightly colored.

I haul myself through the window frame, ignoring the glass and making it insubstantial. Even though it ought to be too small for me to fit through, I still manage to wriggle through it. The sunlight is super bright and temporarily blinds me with a lense-flare effect as I haul myself out of the window well.

"LEEEEAAAAAAVES!" I crow triumphantly and plow into a pile of red and orange leaves. I roll around in them, kicking my legs and sending a whirlwind of leaves all over the place. I flop my arms around in them and rub my face in them. I remember my lucid goal and begin enthusiastically shoving leaves into my mouth. They are very thin and papery and taste like stale crackers, with a hint of glue. I sit up and spit out a mouthful of leaves. I wake up.

My lucid self cracks me up sometimes. I'm in complete control of my faculties, but I'm so enthusiastic about absolutely everything.

    10. my uncle the snake!

      by , 07-17-2012 at 03:42 AM (Sean's Dream Journal)
Several times, I have had this scary and disturbing dream where my great uncle M would be sitting in his house and as I walk in and look at him, he would begin laughing and his bottom lip would drop really far down and curl up into a freaky/creepy smile.

On one of these occasions however, he done this and I grabbed him and then realised I was dreaming. I went outside to the street and rubbed my hands together to attain lucidity and once outside, I began jumpy from car to car in the street, floating slowly.

It then cut to a house where my father was beside me and we were looking out to a street where a few people were playing and I remember a red car parked oddly there. I looked up at my dad and said "Your not real y'know?" and then proceeded to make a pile of leaves float around using telekinesis with ease despite being a new Lucid dreamer.

Me and about five other people are in front of a medium sized tree in my grandma's front yard. Then I randomly say this is a DREAM!!! I then look at a leaf on the tree and actually see the pollen on the leaf. I run half way to the back yard and remember to try a spell. I didn't even know what the spell was supposed to do but it failed. Then I run around the house and somebody who I don't even really talk to comes around the corner and starts screaming in the distance for my dream guide but then I woke up. It was awesome

      Evolventity's Dream
      September 24, 2011

(Regular Dream, Fragments) Fell asleep by 1:30AM, woke up at 12PM.
-I'm in my backyard during mid day. On the other side of the fence, where a creek flows, there are huge blooms and foilage of blue hydrangeas. I wan't to pick some to begin rooted cuttings.

-I'm standing high on a structure trying to snip leaves from the mulberry tree in my backyard. I wanted to start rooted cuttings but was instead trying to pinch the tree. I was looking for it's proto leaves when I found some small black seeds. I grabbed the seeds and came down.

-A line of people are present. I think they're speaking out against homosexuals. The muscular Caucasian man at the end of the line is speaking. When looking at each other directly, he then appears in a blender. I blend his body down starting at his feet. The blender fills up as I reach the base of his neck. I pulse it a couple times. The blades go around his neck bone. I proceed a little too far, noticing some fragments of bone has been chipped off into the rest of my smoothie. The top of his head was nicked and dripped some blood. I stop blending. I take the pitcher to the sink and dump his head out. I use a spatula to take off the excess bone and blood, but I end up pouring the rest of the smoothie out anyway. What a waste.
    13. Lucid fractal tree

by , 07-27-2011 at 12:24 PM (Mindscape of Xaqaria)
Yesterday morning I had a short lucid.

I remember becoming lucid and deciding to just work on stabilization. I go out the front door of whatever house I had been in and I am on a brick patio in a rural/wooded surrounding. I feel the breeze and hear birds chirping. I sit down on the brick and focus on a tree. I can see every leaf, they are very uniform in shape and have the appearance of succulent plant leaves, but are shaped like very triangular deciduous leaves. The entire tree is the same shape as the leaves and very conical, like an evergreen. I try to focus then on the mountains in the distance and try to see individual trees/supernatural close up but I cannot and start to lose focus on practicing stability. I wake up soon after.

-Just as a note this is one of those dreams where you kinda fall asleep then snap back awake.

I'm driving down a local street in my town and I approach an hill going up. It is night time and there are leaves falling from the trees as it is autumn. As I'm passing over it I see a guy in the middle of the road dragging a dead guy across the street. This literally freaks me out so much that I wake up. I just had to write it down it was so unique of an experience.

okay this is probably one of the best dreams I've had yet. so first i was by the ocean, on some old worn out dock, and then on a highway directly on the coast. then i found a slide, like a playground slide, leading into the ground, like down into nowhere. there was a rabbits foot hanging at the entrance of the slide. i got in a grabbed on to the foot and said ..."lets see how for the rabbit hole goes" and then it broke, i fell in, i came out i was underground or something and i fell through like a hole or something and then i was flying like on a roller coaster really fast and then i was in a giant room underground with giant plants growing everywhere and no floor and then there was a platform floating in the middle with a few houses. and i went inside and i was at the beach.
