Omar Rodriguez Lopez found himself in a dreamscape of a simulacrum of the San Francisco bay area and somewhere in south america. He was on a street on an incredibly high hill with a remarkable overlook into the woods below. The dreamscape shared a lot in common with his waking world, albeit certain businesses on the main street were open and some were closed of abandoned. In the background were discussions about hip replacement surgery and menstruation as he navigated this dreamscape and tried to look for something in particular. Whenever he wanted to wake up he would find a specific fenced corridor decorated with foliage to travel through. What started out as an empty street soon became full of kids playing and businesses operating. I forget what it was he was looking for. Perhaps it was some sort of personal truth. He drank some dirty water at one point and eventually woke up in a bathtub in one of these abandoned places. An old lady that ran one of the restaurants introduced him to some of the kids he saw in the dream. I'm unsure how to explain it but this dream evoked a type of liminal feeling introspective/retrospective feeling you can only get in dreams. It's an odd and fascinating feeling. Quite peaceful.

I subscribed to a Patreon type of service from a Dutch musician I like, it came with a perk that gave me access to a wooden chair that would float up into the sky. It didn't have straps or anything, I just had to hold onto the chair as it kept floating higher. Eventually it would reach the stratosphere where I would feel the burning sensation in my body as I felt my bones freeze for a split second before the chair would turn right back down, landing as if nothing had happened. 10/10, would subscribe again! As I landed, I went to a German thrift store where I apparently worked as a cashier where they still paid with cash out of a small box instead of a cash register and had to calculate the change while a large queue of people was waiting. A customer gave me €150 in cash for a €38,40 book and I had to pull out my phone calculator. I woke up before I could finish calculating. Cashier experience was definitely influenced by my one German speaking job in Berlin where I worked at a classical music festival as a bartender where I had more problems with calculating the change than I had with speaking German.
I was in the hallway of my old community college, browsing my social media when I saw a tweet from a chillwave artist I wanted to see live but won't because the festival tickets are beyond expensive. The artist spoke about this fictional artist called Ferrol Farraque, apparently a city pop artist they used to sample. Someone even subtweeted "Go sing over Ferrol Farraque again" Thos mysterious artist usually keeps to themselves, even their interview was just them saying a whole lot of nothing. Then I saw them at my community college through the door talking to someone, but they're voice was muted and it just showed subtitles saying they're never playing at this event again after this. I go downstairs and they do a panel where I can here their voices a little when paying close attention. I then wake up in a room with someone else, we're colleages apparently and we overslept, my colleague takes the blame by premiering their music video over a projector in the hallway while the supervisor is mad at them. I then wake up and snooze multiple times in real life as I'm still tired. Been sleep poorly lately, got early shifts at work and no apartment yet while I have to move out soon. Dream was in English.

I fell asleep without setting an alarm clock today. Woke up on time and realised I just fell asleep. That dream was very short and about me meeting an experimental musician I saw perform live a few weeks ago. She had a new song out and it had a Spotify canvas of a video filmed from underneath her looking right into her skirt That was especially weird because I deleted Spotify over a year ago. I then woke up at 6:30 am and remembered I was going to work at my home office today anyways (I was going to be late if I went to work on site today) so I set the alarm for 40 more minutes. I can't recall my dream of any but was still so tired I feel right back asleep after turning off the alarm, oops. During this dream I was dreaming about there being a supermarket across the place I live at and me cleaning the floor with a broom. My friend from Luxembourg showed up and asked me if I worked here when in some hilariously meta moment I realised that I had a job and needed to clock in ASAP. I went back home to my home office to log in and woke up, still on time fortunately. Shout out capitalism fr This dream was in English.
I've been having a positively awful first few weeks of the semester. I think I was still in summer mode and then wham, all these assignments hit me and I wasn't quite prepared for it. I've been forced to sacrifice a lot of sleep lately for the sake of grades, but I'm going to try really hard to do that as seldom as possible. I did have one LD this past week. Unfortunately, I can't really remember what happened in it. But the one blessing of sleep deficits is REM rebound, so I've been taking advantage of that. Last night I had a positively wonderful non-lucid dream. I met Amy Lee from Evanescence, who was performing at a house for a semi-private concert. We were in a basement, actually, but it was fancy and well-furnished. Tons of people there. I don't even remember if any of the other band members were there. But I actually got to talk to her, and she was very pleasant and kind. She sang, and her voice sounded amazing. After the concert, I got stuck in a mass of people and I was trying to find her in order to say goodbye to her. A friend of mine (who only existed in the dream, i.e. I have not met him in real life but in the dream he was somebody that I knew moderately well) asked me where I was going. I said, "I have to find Amy! I want to say goodbye to her!" He laughed good-naturedly and said "What, do you want to marry her or something?" xD It was like I was in elementary school again or something. And I said, honestly, "Yes, I would absolutely love that, but she's already married. I just want to say bye to her." He laughed again and let me go after that. I couldn't find her though, and then I woke up. The house was a duplex in a really nice neighborhood with some Gothic architecture and imagery, like ravens on the mailboxes. It was rather awesome, actually. Super cool dream. I woke up very happy. It was a pleasant conclusion to a terrible week. And I sound like such a "fanboy", ugh lol.
I am helping musician Chris Chameleon carry his guitar to a concert which I am about to attend. We are walking down a street towards the large concert building, and the guitar feels awkward in shape. We arrive at the venue, and it's like a school gymnasium, with many tables. I hand the guitar off to somebody else, and spot my Aunty, and her divorced husband (who was controlling/cruel/etc). Just beyond them, however, for the second time in the last week, by (now long passed) Grandfather is standing there. However, he is free of both Parkinson's and Alzheimers. I hug him, and it is joyful - I feel good that I can see him again, and I am old enough to appreciate it.
I had five different dreams last night: In my first dream, I'm in the military I think. I'm in a room with some other poeple (friends?) and we've been told to pack up all of our belongings because we're relocating. But I'm worried because I have a lot of equipment and we don't have much time. One of the guys asks me how much of the equipment is mine, so I show him about two or three speaker amps and some other stuff, then lead him into this room that has transparent walls. I show him some video game consoles of mine. There's an xBox 360, only it's been taken apart, customized then mounted on something that resembles the racks that computer servers are mounted on; only these racks are transparent as well. In the meantime, this man (the man in charge) keeps sticking his head in the doorway and announcing that "We're leaving." My next dream is really weird, because I find myself inside the body of a female musician (along the lines of Joan Jett but it's not her). We're inside a big auditorium with a stage set up in the middle and we're about to give a concert. There is a crowd of people lined up outside waiting to get in. I walk up onstage, pick up a guitar and place the guitar sling over my shoulder. I'm thinking, "This sling is really comfortable" and look to see what brand it is. (I can't remember) Then I become nervous because I don't know how to play the guitar. I'm wondering since I'm inside someone else's body, will I have their abilities as well. I try playing a few notes on the guitar and to me they sound terrible! But everyone else seems to be pleased, which I find strange. This next dream is one I 've had several times before, soit's familiar: I'm walking around what looks like a large library. There are multiple floors and I'm lost. It alternates between a library and what looks like a college dorm. I think I'm trying to find my room. In my next dream, I'm outside at night. It's like a scene from an old black and white horror movie: all the trees and grass are dead. I'm with some people I know: my sister-in-law, my daughter and my wife. There is a large fallen tree on the ground and we have to get past it to proceed. But there are wolves around and they are threatening us. I see a boy sitting on the ground that the wolves are going after, so I try to help him. But before I can reach him, the wolves drag him away. This scene repeats itself three times during this dream, which should have alerted me to the fact that I was dreaming but it didn't; I just went alonng with the dream. Anyway, I find some sticks/clubs/boards and hand them out to everyone so that we can attack the wolves and chase them off. We try to go one way but can't, so I start looking for a way through the tree, or up and over it. I can't find a way, but my wife walks forward and brushes away some leaves and branches to reveal a red brick floor. A hole opens up in the bricks and I see stairs leading down to a door leading to what looks like an old time outdoor shopping mall. In my last dream, I'm riding around on a golf cart with my daughter. We're inside a hotel but it's set up with wide hallways, so it's easy to get around. I'm trying to find my way outside but keep taking wrong turns and having to turn around. This annoys my daughter because we have food and some glasses of water on a small tray in front of us and my driving makes one of the glasses fall over and spill water. I eventually find the door leading outside but when we get outside, it's raining hard and we have to stay under a small covered area to keep from getting wet.

I was at a party where there was dancing and live music. It was getting late and most of the people were leaving. I stayed and was talking to one of the band members. He wanted to show me some of his experimental music, so he took me into another room and began to play. While he was playing, I noticed these round, clear glasses. I picked one up and looked at it closely. My musician friend said it had some neat effects if I put it on something made of glass. I looked around the room and saw a window. I put the glass over to the window pane and it stuck to it. I spun around to look at my musician friend and I saw several other faces. I then pulled the glass from the window pane and looked around the room. We were the only people in the room, and he was still busy playing his music. I put the glass back on the window pane and then spun around several times. As I spun, I could see several other people in the room with us. Somehow I knew that they were all dead musicians, all coming here to hear my musician friend play. Then I woke Up. When I woke up, I had chills over every inch of my body. It was a good thing that I woke up when I did, because my dream would have turned into a nightmare. I rarely have nightmares, but when I do, they are always caused by chills. It was 76 F in my house that night, so I shouldn't have been having chills.
