looked through an old dream journal i kept before i found this website and saw this:

6/4/23 (6th of April)
"i was walking down a sunny neighbourhood street with a group of people my age that i didn't recognise. Then i walked off with one of the girls from the group and ended up at her house, asleep in her lap as she watched a video in the middle of the night."

I don't remember this at all, but I thought it was cute :- )

2022 May 3rd

Dream:

I'm somewhere with H, at or near some kind of compound. His dad or a friend of his dad's is around too. There's something about precious stones in the compound, they spawn at random and in areas inhabited by some unusual creatures. It's not a nature reserve or anything like that, it's more like it's been abandoned despite still being apparently owned by someone. One of these strange creatures is a cat thing, the size of a dog and with more legs. It wants scratches but I'm wary of it, as it also wants to escape if given a chance, so I'm mindful about the door and my position. I consider that these animals may all be dangerous.

I find one of the stones nearby and I leave. I somehow know it's worth 100K or so. I tell H and I feel proud and relieved, since it will be a huge help to us. I think to myself that we should make sure people aren't needlessly making this place known publicly or we won't even get a chance to get some more stones when we need the money.

Later, a group of people who had also been getting gemstones is near an exit area. One of the people in the group is D, old school friend. Most of them seem a bit greedy, having hoarded many stones, rather than just getting one or two. I say to them that I can't see why they can't be more reasonable, and that I would always try to compromise when possible.

2022 May 4th

Dream:

(Left recall a bit late)

I'm at home with H. We go into the kitchen to do something. We're naked? I open the blinds and see a bunch of the neighbourhood kids out the back, some on the walls, others in the yard itself. (Quick note, this actually happened four days later, on the 8th)

We motion from inside for them to get out and such, and then we go out a side door from the kitchen to the back, where the heart should have been. I lose track of H. In the yard, I see that some of the kids look a bit miserable, they're stuck in here by accident and I now feel sorry for them, and less upset about the fact they're here.

Then, the back wall changes when I'm not paying attention. It's a cut-down wooden fence and I see loads of people around, playing around, having BBQs and so on. To my right, I see that we're on a sort of large plateau area and there are new apartment buildings in this area, some still being built. About twenty story high each. One has a green-ish and white colour scheme going. It's no wonder there are so many people here, I now feel. I feel annoyed and get into a sort of argument with a random woman, I think she was someone from school. As a character, I express confusion at all this and feel neglected. I ask why they built all this, why didn't the local authority let us know about any of it? And so on. I get unsatisfactory replies and just feel more and more frustrated.

Later. At a supermarket inside a larger mall. (Like one in A but bigger) Initially I'm with H but then we split up because I need to go swap some pasta cheese ice cream thing. It looks like it has a blue cheese in it. Then, that woman from before again, she shows me some chocolate ice cream like knock-off Magnums. I try a sample or something, and so does she.

- I'm outside my university and i notice my classmates. My friend is with them but he's not using his walking aid (he has a muscular problem). I greet them and follow him as he limps to the library. Inside we make some kind of party, one of my classmates asks me for a bottle of beer. I open my backpack to see i have beer and a bottle of coke. After a while a cute girl appears, stares at me and kisses my cheek.

- I'm in my neighbourhood, walking on the sidewalk, when i notice 2 guys sitting by the side. After i walk past them, i turn around to see if they change (was i a bit lucid??), and i think i saw something different but i got distracted and then i found myself inside some house playing a Sonic videogame with a boy and his bigger brother. After winning i continue my walk home when i see two suspicious looking individuals, so i do a little sprint and cross the street. There are some people and some old guy comes out yelling, he is really mad because apparently a goblin gave him a fake coin.

- I'm in my house, the doorbell rings so i go to the door. It is a magician, he wants to buy a special coin from my dad. I let him inside and go to my room. I sit in the floor and notice a black beetle with orange details. I touch it and step back a bit. The doorbell rings again, this time is a familiar looking woman in a robe. I take her to my dad and he gives her what she was looking for: a gold coin with a frog pattern.

On the third attempt of the night (after waking up after 2 other REM cycles and realizing I hadn't tried to do reality checks or notice dream signs) as they say "3rd time's the charm", I came to the realization that I was dreaming and in doing so had my 1st lucid dream that I had intended.

I can't remember much preceding the point when I started to lucid dream, but it had something to do with a tin roof that was covered in large mounds of pine needles. I jumped off the roof into the park (football oval). A girl through a large frisbee styled object towards me. It was a large doughnut made out of the same material that tents are (I forget the actual name). As it was coming towards me, I jumped to land on it, the same way you would hold onto a doughnut that you drag behind a boat in the water. For reasons I can't explain, I realized this was a dream. I then preceded to fly around the houses. The doughnut disappeared at some point.
I flew across the road, to what I realized was my neighbour's house (I had flown over my own house and hadn't noticed it.). I landed on the roof (the house was 2 story, even though in RL its only one), jumped down to beside the house (It became apparent that this was my neighbourhood but modified ). Then a girl noticed me. My neighbour and this girl, who just happened to be there, came looking to where I was. I took off across the road again, to another house, where my brother appeared wanting to ask me something. A shooed him away, so that I could hide from my neighbour and the girl who were looking for me. I rushed around to the back of the house and took off from the ground slowly spiraling up around the patio roof that i had gotten stuck under, and drifted over my backyard.
A man, who was supposed to be my next door neighbour, was in a US army uniform in my pool, acting as if it was normal to be there fully dresses bobbing up and down, his head submerging and bobbing out of the water (It only, now occurs to me that the man is an actor, though I do not remember his name or any movies he has been in) He questioned why I was flying, and I came up with the story that I was a ghost. Saying "why else would I be flying" feeling it necessary to explain without saying I was dreaming. I decided to continue this idea.
I flew across the road and spoke to some imagined neighbours, who invited me inside and we sat around discussing what it was like to be a ghost, to the 8 or so more people that joined us, who supposedly lived there too. I was convincing them that I was a ghost, that became solid only once in a while. Which explained why I wasn't floating through things and why I could hold things. I even managed to clap my hands properly. I kept discussing my made up situation until I woke up.
I had full control over my movements, but only some control over the surroundings.

Dust Magnet:
My computer screen had a lot of dust build up. I wondered why that was the case and started scratching them off one by one and there was a ton to scratch off.

Random Kids:
I was in some neighbourhood with my family(mom and brother). We just stepped out of the car when two kids approached us. It seems that my mom knew them and they greeted us with "Salam" then some random stuff I can't remember. I was feeling totally confused and was about to talk, paused and then said "I'm totally lost, do I know you?"

Thoughts: Nice to have recalled two dreams even though they were pretty small. Recall occurred during the day though. I might be able to recall better now as I am making progress in my meditation. Hoping for a lucid i the next couple of days
