    1. this isn't a dream

      by , 05-03-2018 at 03:23 AM
apparently i haven't been on here since Before I Left For College
      oh boy have things changed

a lot of my experiences since i started college have shaped my dream life into something far different than it used to be. more and more often i find myself both dwelling on the past and jumping far into the future. because of a rough first couple of years at university i had long periods of short, sharp nightmares that come back to me sometimes even now. because of a lot of soul-searching and self-reflection many of my dreams deal with fears i have only recently realized i have. because of an abusive relationship my dreams sometimes bring me back to a time and mindset i am still trying hard to overcome.

i am so different now, and seeing my posts from so long ago i can't help smiling at who i was before. i'm like, twenty years old. i turn twenty one in two weeks, but sometimes i feel pretty ancient. my dream journey is beginning again, and this time it is with purpose. initially my interest was just that; an interest. now i think i would like to utilize my dreams in order to overcome my fears. i haven't been vigilant about reality checking, or about dream journals, or about anything non-academic, to be honest, but i think that this new dream goal is important and will help in my efforts to begin living a healthier life, mentally, emotionally, and physically. wish me luck.
    2. (WARNING) Slightly Terrifying Subject Matter: Incestuous dream

      by , 07-12-2017 at 11:24 AM
This may sound super weird, but I have had three dreams about incest, and tonight I was the victim of my third. I had two sexual dreams about my father previously, and I have not really been sleeping easy ever since. It's so weird, since I feel zero attraction towardshim when I wake up. It disgusts me. I consider the these dreams my worst nightmares. Last night, I had one that was a little bit less sexual and more loving. Now, since I felt almost suicidal after this one, because it was my third, I did a tiny bit of research on the matter. I know this doesn't mean my subconcious is incestual. I think it is because I do not have a good relationship with my dad. He screams at me whenever I do something wrong. Although he appologizes, it still hurts. I go to an all grl school, so he is the only man in my life currently. I believe that these dreams could just be my subconcious telling myself to repair my relationship with my father.

Do you think these assumptions are correct? Please let me know your toughts and opinions. This has been really freaking me out, so reassurence that I'm not crazy is always appreciated.
    3. Dreams dreamed

      by , 06-20-2017 at 02:38 PM

I was on a balance beam in front splits. I saw the beam and felt the splits, though I didn't feel like I was stretching. The beam was a tannish color, like most balance beams are. Then the dream slipped away, and I was surrounded by black and thought I was in Greenland. I thought it was near Russia. I was talking to some woman about New Zealand. I thought, 'I have to fly to NY to practice getting on an airplane.' I forgot that Peter wasn't in New York yet, I called him, which I normally wouldn't do because part of me is afraid of him. I realized where he is really living. I thought about getting my passport out of my safe, even though I lost the key to it.

I was walking with a random guy outside. I think he was a symbol for my twin Stephen. We found a bright blue pool, still waters. The guy suggested going in and I said it's illegal we'll get caught. There was a black, grayish gate/fence. The fence was straight, not in a circle. There was no barbed wire on the fence. Suddenly, we were in the hotel that the pool belonged to . We asked the people if we could buy the pool. They said yes it/s 10,000 dollars. We said okay we put the money in your crack account. I don't remember what the hotel looked like.

I was at a peaceful, light blue beach. I didn't see the sand, just the water There were no waves. I swam and walked around. Lots of people were in the water. I think it was a Florida beach, I've had Florida beach dreams in the past. Michael, Simon Peter, Jenn, and Andrew were there. Before being in the water we were in a random house or hotel. Then suddenly we were in peaceful water not thinking about the sharks that might be near us. Then suddenly someone announced that there was a crocodile in the water. It was huge, bigger than most crocodiles, and was red with bright yellow eyes. It wasn't moving, it was just there. I knew I was faster than it. I tan out of the water. All I was thinking about was getting to safety and getting my family to safety. And all the other people in the water. Part of me was afraid and I should have become lucid, but I didn't. I was/a,m faster than the crocodile. Is the crocodile my shadow side? A symbol for my fears, a symbol of whatever is blocking my family from being who we really are, my dark side, weak, unable to move compared to the bright blue waveless water representing my peace and tranquility? I found the shore and suddenly we were in a hotel room. A window was open and I was falling out of the hotel, head first. My waist up was in the air and my feet were in the hotel. Michael grabbed my legs and helped me get back in the hotel room. There was a bed and a couch visible. I knew the couch could roll out as a bed. I knew there must have been another bed somewhere. Jenn and I were arguing about who would sleep in the bed and who would sleep on the roll out couch. The fight subsided and I told her that I'd take the couch. I assumed we weren't in Florida anymore and were in New York helping Peter move in to his shared house in NY for graduate school. Maybe the beach was a NY beach, but I'm pretty sure it was FL because I've had FL beach dreams before, though those dreams happened a long time ago, The dream was both nightmarish and peaceful. I'm praying I have the dream again and become lucid and explore the sea and the monster crocodile and fly down from the window doing a flip and not getting hurt. Alas, that didn't happen.

A different night I dreamed I was at a martial arts cult like group. They were teaching me martial arts and weird things happened. The dream slipped away all I know is they tricked me into thinking there was one true martial art. There's one true God, but as for martial arts, all of them work. I just happen to choose Kung fu and Okinawan Karate.

    5. Introduction

      by , 02-12-2017 at 11:09 AM
Hi, call me Kairos (means "Time" basically) I have what some would call "sleep disturbances". To list a few, Sleep Paralysis, Consistent Nightmares, Sleepwalking, and sometimes Night Terrors to the point where I had to go to the doctor. Now my nightmares actually have been proven to be useful in my profession, I am a writer, mostly horror hence why it's useful. Now don't get me wrong I HATE them but they're a condition I've come to live with.
I've been the last human being trapped on a dying earth, sucked into space, been attacked by animals/creatures, and seen horrific things happen to people to list a few. I don't think I can get into too much vivid detail on some parts to avoid breaking any TOS rules, but my doctor suggested I get a dream journal. I googled something actually (Why is it nighttime in my dreams) and it brought me here so I thought it would be perfect.
I am not going to list any past nightmares because there are only fragments that I can remember like most dreams, but I bookmarked this page so when I wake up from a terrible/pleasant or just plain old strange experience I can write it down here.
Get feedback that sort of thing. So anyone who happens to stumble along stay, go, it does not matter. Just know what you're getting into, I don't want any suggestions from my dreams leaking into yours.

    6. 9/6/16 - I'm Jimin

      by , 09-08-2016 at 11:53 PM
I'm Jimin. I have to solve a bunch of puzzles inside Grandpa's house in order to get to Jungkook. Finally I manage to solve all of the puzzles and end up in a bed. In the bed I'm scared and it feels like I had just had a nightmare. I call out to Jungkook and he appears in bed next to me. We hug each other tight and fall asleep.
    7. I Have Returned

      by , 07-25-2016 at 07:08 PM

So... I'm back. I haven't been dreaming much lately, as school projects keep me up late and stress keeps my mind blank.

I have had three odd nightmares, though. Nightmares that I wish lucid dreaming could help me overcome... But I still can't manage to replicate my singular lucid from a few months ago.

All of the nightmares have to do with a boy named Trent from my school trying to hurt me or scaring me. I'm hoping that I'll be able to defeat my nightmares and get this DC to leave me be.

In the meantime, any help and advice would be much appreciated. I'm really hoping not to wake up crying or panicked another time this week.

    8. Weird Dream

      by , 10-11-2015 at 04:20 PM
So I decided I'll report dreams or nightmares I have here (if double postings allowed). I won't go into too much detail either due to me forgetting or it being nsfw a little but yeah. Below is two of the dreams / nightmares I had.

In my dream I was a child still and so was my brother, in the said dream we were still living in our old home and city (New York). For an unknown reason at first we were rushed to grab anything we can so I grabbed any little thing that was important to me while I was crying and we were lead away. My brother and I were placed on one of the couches in the living room and at the same time I didn't know where my parents were or any adults for that matter. What was weird was that our house wasn't really a house, and we were able to see outside down the street.

(You know the style of the streets in like San Fransisco where the houses are on a slope? That's how basically it looked like).

Basically we could see lava and or fire coming down the street but it seemed further away than what we thought as well as that way behind it the sky was lit up from buildings being on fire and smoke rising. It then transitioned to me being in a building and trying to escape I believe, but at the same time it was really hot as if the whole building was or had been on fire itself.
    9. Old Dreams I Remember

      by , 04-14-2014 at 10:20 PM
Dreams I had this month or a month ago that I remember.
      [Dream training]

I was in a room with students around me. Than I left them to go to a invited party with my family. My brother and my mom and I entered the room. It was filled with tables with food on them. I was like yay! I wanted to eat some dessert with strawberries. But I saw that the foods were rotten and old. So I was like why are there old foods here!? My middle school teacher from years ago was assisting with the party and said something i don't recall. Than that's when my brother said that putting rotten food out was a stupid idea. That's when i began walking and saw a tall young man say to me. Hey, I remember you. i remembered the guy from a pizza dream of mine. He was so tall that i was like woah. Than jumped holding on to him. Than I let go and left that scene. I was taken into a small room where i was told my assignment was to get out. I looked behind me and saw a bear standing on his feet. I tried to trick the bear by telling it that there was food somewhere else and he left. Than I jumped way up onto something. I saw string and climbing material on the floor. I was high up and was told my next assignment was to get down first. There were other girls beside me trying to win. But I manged to get down first and won. After that I woke up I think....

      [The scary girl]

I was dreaming something I don't remember...than I walked into a room where it was a rectangle and there were tables around. A middle aged man offered me some wine and I told him no. I don't drink wine. Than I ran out the room and started walking. That's when I felt like someone was following me. A girl was behind me and when i got in the middle of the room I could see a girls picture on the floor. Than she started to laugh in a evil manner. I moved quickly and ran up some stairs. I could see a dark room with a figure of a person inside. It scared me so I ran again and the girl started to chase me. Saying I would never get out. When I was running through the hall I saw a room where there was a man who looked like Abraham Lincoln butchering a person on a table with two others. The girl cried out I would never escape. But I flew and tried to get out through the walls and I did. I tried to get on a train i saw but I was pulled back in the building. So I tried to fly through the roof. When i touched the roof and the girl was right behind me i appeared on my bed. Couldn't move until I tried to wake myself up and i did.

      [The stomach stab again...]
I appeared in a narrow long room with a red carpet after exiting a bathroom. I could see a picture of a blond lady with a pony tail. A voice spoke like a news reporter saying that Jenny was in trouble of being chased by bad men who wanted to kill her. I than proceeded to turn than walk. I could see a boy in a wooden seat. With a cup of clear blue water to his side. He wore a mask of that troll face picture i see on the internet and there was a small blue fire like thing floating above him. Another voice spoke saying "This boy waited for God and died from a terrible sickness." I was kind of scared than so I tried to get out the building but that's when small childlike Goku from dragon ball gt came out of no where and grabbed me. Than I felt someone stabbing my stomach. That's when I thought of my old dream with the little girl who did the same. Than a voice spoke saying I wouldn't escape. But I managed to escape goku's grip and that's when i woke up.

      [Ending to a dream]
I was at a school walking in a line with other students. When suddenly a huge guy from the line grabbed me than threw me to the floor. After that he stomped on my head. I could feel the pain in my dream. Than i appeared on my bed and a dark figure grabbed me and threw me under the bed and started beating me. After that i woke up and I was shaking in real life at times. So I started playing the 3ds to feel better and felt better a few minutes later. I've never had a scary nightmare like that. But I think I had that dream cause i was focusing on my head a lot the current week. Since sometimes i get anxiety when i see scary stuff on the news...-w-

      [In The Library]
I was in the Library with my sister and my nephew. There were other people around doing their own business. My sister turned to me and asked me to help her find a book for my young nephew. As I looked I saw a little girl behind my nephew. I than knew that I was dreaming and felt that she was the girl who liked to stab my stomach. So I said to her " get away from my nephew!." and she disappeared a bit. My sister came up to me and asked what was wrong. I told her we have to get out of here quick. That's when people started to leave the library like it was closing down. So we began to leave but the little girl came up to me and was telling me not to go. I said get away from me! as i followed the crowd through the hall. She said said she wouldn't let me. So I was like I believe in Jehovah! I don't believe in ghosts. And that's when she let go and i reached the outside. Outside i got on the bus but suddenly a boy ran up to me and said something i don't remember. I said no! Just leave me alone!. Than he said fine! I'll never bother you again! and left. On the bus I saw a girl crying for him in the third person and than saw words on the bus floor which looked like a song or poetry. Saying something about missing somebody. : P
    10. Origins

      by , 02-15-2014 at 09:38 PM
This is the account of the dream where I got my name. This is the point of my dreaming where I was trying to master subconscious instructions, or simply yelling out to your dreamscape and telling it to do things for you. In this dream I brought myself to my "imaginationscape" I created a mostly permanent place where creating was easiest, a purely white dimension. In every direction is a never ending scene of pure white. From here I called out to my dream. With the simple but no so simple instruction of "show me my mind" then turned around so my environment could change around me, I turned to see a huge vestibule. Thousands of doors, each with a tag above it. I began to walk along to each door to review the tags. Every tag represented a set of memories. The first I chose was "birthdays" I walked through the door to find the scene of my 3rd birthday, my family had taken me to skate on a frozen pond near where I lived. I observed for a while then walked back through the door. Passed several doors, mom, dad, brother, school, then a tag caught my attention, it read "nightmare realm" I was intrigued for some reason and decided not to enter (not the brightest decision I've ever made) as soon as I tried to step through I fell a long way to the floor. I look up to see almost every nightmare character I've ever had lined up in ranks in front of me. I stand up and face them, (knowing that if I panic something very bad will happen) a new character broke ranks to meet me looking at me eye to eye, he looked exactly like me, except he had cracks all up and down his skin, eyes deep piercing black every crack of the skin filled with the same black, he lifted his arm to put it on my shoulder and spoke. "Do you know who I am?" I replied no, should I? He chuckled and patted my chest with his other arm, then leaned into my ear and whispered, "I am the dark
      I am the unknown
      I am your nightmares
I am, a figment of your imagination, but most importantly, I. Am. You. Sweet dreams" then everything around me vanished and I was left in the black and suddenly woke up. Left to contemplate this occurrence. After a lot of thought I realized this wasn't a nightmare but a blessing. This was extremely frightening but, if analyzed subjectively, it means that every nightmare I've ever experienced was in MY mind. In other words I never needed to have my nightmares, lucid dreamers know that nightmares can help with lucidity. Know that anything that happens inside your dreams your own mind and you are in control.

    11. Realistic (to me) zombie apocalypse.

      by , 12-07-2013 at 03:06 PM
Well, the first thing I remember was what I thought was my uncle. (he was my dads friend (My dad is now dead, so I never see that person anymore.) and was a friend to the family.) He was very tall(too tall) and looked extremely like him. We decided to show him around... or town or bunker. We had lived underground, but there were buildings and such. While my brothers, sister (perhaps my mom) were showing him around, I was going to a living room, watching TV. Closing and locking the slide doors on both sides. We had pinball games and more. I felt so relieved, safe and relaxed. But then, somehow things went bad. I believe my "uncle" was actually a zombie. (Aha, I view zombies different.) I think we killed him or sorts. Suddenly, zombies came from everywhere. Now, I was in the middle of the "small town" (which had 4-5 brown buildings.) and we were getting packed and some already in the car to get out. I was getting a couple things packed. Included, my inventory I sell IRL and a cup of ice from a local gasstation IRL. (How did I not become lucid or RC... >.<) Well my sister was getting some more stuff, she waited too long and got bitten. We could see her start lighting a cigar while transforming. (From Walking Dead or something I believe.) While my mom was screaming and crying, my brothers in the front pushed the pedal. We raced, zombies everywhere. Suddenly, I saw other cars. We were saved! Nope. My brother screamed "Now they're getting smart!" Because, somehow, I don't know how, or why, they were zombies. Tons of cars of them trying to be humans. My brother, somehow an amazing racer, raced past them, and we made it out to the light and they were losing where we were. We got to a cliff and a sunset, and my brother said "It must be time for the next game. I remember this." Then he sped, we flew out of the car, as if it was an epilogue or something before a new videogame release. I just remember my brother, I, and a girl flying out. But my mom doesn't come into play with the rest of the story, so we'll just say My brothers and I. (Two brothers.).
So, after the video game credits (not really.) we landing infront of a building. (This is where it becomes foggy.) People started to come, and before we knew it we had to go for a hunt of food with them. We went to a nightmare hell instead that looked like a grocery store. At first I remember, my brother going on a secret side door because he thought they were doing evil things! Nope, they werent. Then, we were collecting food, I remember I got a lot of grains and oats for survivial and then we had to continue on. Then, it was hell. There were tags that if we read it would happen. I read "your worst nightmare will come." and spiders, evil clowns (miniature, size of like toys) Came at me from everywhere. (Our team was split up be now.) so I imagined they couldn't walk, and it happened. (Nope, wasn'[t lucid. FFS.) I found that tag from going up the stairs so I decided not to be an idiot and continue up. I went back to some of the team and the leader, we had a mini attack I believe, and I asked the leader where my brothers were. He answered with this... "(my brother's gamertag for xbox) got eaten by the cookie monster, and (my other brother' gamertag)" ... to be honest, I forgot :/. I think it said he logged off or died. Ahaha. Well that's it. I logged off the game, and woke up.
    12. Bunkbeds and Fields of Flowers

by , 11-25-2013 at 02:31 PM (My Dream Journey)
Since I haven't recorded any dreams recently I thought I would share with you my biggest nightmares as a child. One was a false awakening. I looked at the bed above me and blinked a few times. I sat up in the bed and looked around. I was in my room, but it seemed darker. There was a fear growing in my chest. I knew what was about to happen. I looked around frantically for a way out then a hand appeared under my bed and grabbed my leg. I was thrown on the floor and I grabbed the support that holds the bed. I was trying to yell but there was no sound coming. I looked behind me and there was a dark red portal there. I knew there was no getting out of it so I let go and it consumed me. The other was a little stranger. I was walking in the big expansive colorful field of flowers. I walked, jumped, and ran through it. Then my view went third person. And the clouds got darker and things got a little less colorful. Then a man appeared behind me and stabbed me in the back. This journal is open to analysis.

      by , 11-09-2013 at 08:41 PM
I only remember parts of dreams today. Nothing stabile, lasting, just fragments.
I took two Biotin pills before bed because I forgot to take them earlier (I take one for dinner and one for supper. 5000mcg)

The pieces I remember are of me moving crazy colored boxes around. I think I remember seeing colors all around actually. Neon colors, blinking colors. Don't remember more from that dream.

I can't recall seeing much from this dream, but I remember hearing lots of voices. Can't give description. Might have been people arguing?

The last before I awoke was scary as heck. I'm standing outside of a large building looking like an abandoned old school. The doors are open and the inside completely black. A young woman stands outside with me. Long dark hair, pale, scary looking (japanese horror style). She follows me into the school and then the dream shifts and I'm driving a car, a red car I think. The same woman is in the passanger seat but with a horrid, rotting face and I start screaming. I scream three times extremely loudly before I wake up.

I never have nightmares so this was totally bizzare. I still remember screaming and it freaks me out how long it took me to wake up when thinking of how scared I was. As for the Biotin pills, I won't take them before bed like that again!!

I never understood I was dreaming.

    14. Can you control your lucid dreams?

      by , 10-08-2013 at 08:08 PM
      Hi everyone,

I am writing because recently I noticed the amount of people who have lucid dreams, but can't control what they do in them. I've had lucid dreaming my entire life, and have dreams nightly, except I've taught myself to consciously acknowledge that I'm dreaming, and control my thoughts, actions, and words in the dream.

Furthermore, I can alter situations, change who people are, and even have full on conversations if I want to, and it's all through techniques I was forced to develop in order to avoid the bone-chilling feeling of nightmares.

I've written an eBook on the techniques I've developed, which include several detailed dreams that may be similar to ones you've had. If you're interested in finding out about someone else who has the same lucid dreaming experience you do, or if you want to learn how to control your dreams, check it out!

It will be free to download until Sunday, "How to Control Lucid Dreaming" . Thank you!

I have a friend. I have known her for almost a decade now. She is this absolutely stunning redhead with green eyes. Model worthy. She is not only beautiful, but extremely talented, intelligent, loving, gentle, and kind. Her name is Molly.

Molly is an extremely selfless person. The kind of girl who would give you the shirt off her back and her last five dollars to keep you from going without. Never asking or expecting anything in return. She was even a nurse at a hospital near by.

Molly was always there for me, through everything. She helped me through some of my darkest hours, but she sometimes tried to help the wrong people and got herself in a few particularly bad relationships and friendships with some less than desirable people.

Three cheating abusive alcoholic assholes and one stalker later, Molly was a proud mother of a little girl. A redhead like her.

Four years ago, in November, Molly wouldn't answer her phone. Concerned, I went to her house. I found her lying on the floor in her hallway half naked, covered in blood and bruises, holding her four month older daughter who was dead. Molly had been raped, her baby suffocated, by someone who stalked her frequently.

I have never before or since seen anything more horrific than what I saw that night.

Molly moved away after that. We maintained our close friendship long distance.

About two weeks ago Molly moved back to town. Now, I am having these horrible flashback night terrors of how I found her coupled with my own conflicting situational emotions.

Is there anyone who can help me figure this out?

I don't like waking up in the middle of the night with those images in my head.
