    1. Hell is in an Uproar

by , 06-11-2017 at 04:40 PM (The Secret Life of Demons)
      Building

In an office building, looking around. Actually, feeling a bit lost and uncertain of what I'm looking for. While here I see my mom in one of the offices. I wait in the hallway for her to come out and pretend to appear surprised when she calls my name. I turn around and we chat for a moment about nothing specific. I can feel that she's happy to see me... I'm less pleased to see her. I love her and think she's great. It's just unfortunate she's working in Hell and it's this aspect that saddens me. They treat her decently and it's a mutually beneficial arrangement, it's just unfortunate. She has to get back to work so I tell her I'm just running errands and I'll see her later.

      Escort

I'm still in Hell, but now I'm pushing a cart with a few supplies in it. I need to take it somewhere. A man is escorting me; I'm rather fond of him for no particular reason. He seems warm. We arrive at an elevator and I'm hesitant to ride with the other riders. They are surrounded by darkness and I can't tell where the darkness is originating from; whether it's the elevator itself, an individual inside the elevator, or the collective within the elevator. I know enough to hesitate, and my escort informs me we'll take the next one. I exhale a sigh of relief. I didn't really want to explain my preference to wait, so I'm relieved he reads me exceptionally well.

We wait, then I enter the empty elevator. My escort has vanished and I'm with two women. Once we enter, a secondary door forms. I walk through the elevator and start laughing. I'm on another level without having to go up or down, just around. The two women I'm with are confused, so I explain we're on the right level. They're still confused. They don't seem very adaptive to changing reality. I explore on my own.

      Starving Demons

I'm observing a group of three women eating at an exclusive restaurant. Still in Hell. They are visibly disgruntled and I realize they've run out of money. They can't afford to eat more than an appetizer. A fourth woman arrives and I'm staring at her beige colored necklace around her neck, it's quite interesting--looks like a belt. The fourth woman offers to pay for their meal. The three women, as it turns out, had planned poorly resulting in their current unfortunate series of events. The fourth woman had prepared by being more than evil (though I still believe she's a demon, not all demons are created equal). The fourth woman had been kind to others, regardless of origin (she was nice to the non-demons), and as the world changed she was able to change with it. The other three had not been kind and now they are unable to sustain themselves (food source went away).

      Possession

I'm observing a pair of demons outside. One is normal and nice. The other demon is possessed by hatred. Understandable. The nice one is trying to convince the other one to abandon the hatred as it's consuming her and will eventually claim her life. The nice one retrieves what appears to be the child of the possessed demon. Makes sense as family bonds are a decent method to tame emotional hatred. This doesn't work and the possessed demon is on the verge of attacking its offspring. It's very unfortunate to see things have escalated to this degree. I'm considering stepping into the body of the possessed in order to pull it out of that state. It just needs a gentle tug--but I never get to see the outcome as it's time for me to wake.

      Notes

My dreams have always involved Hell being the winning political party. I've been a permanent resident of Hell, but I've also resided in lighter areas too. As I grew up I traveled vast distances and met many wonderful beings, all over. I came to understand that origin and residency don't necessarily make individuals good or bad. Individuals choose who they want to be. There are demons in Heaven, just as there are angels in Hell. It's a horrific race war, even on the spiritual planes. Now that Heaven has the upper hand due to recent events, the demons are struggling to adapt. Their food source has been severely diminished and their hunting methods and way of life must change or they will perish. I'm here to ensure the demons survive. Why? Because demons are spirits too. Life should be protected and everyone deserves the opportunity to live. Personally, I find it hilarious to see demons miserable. It's a nice change of pace.

    2. Ah, Signs of Life

by , 06-07-2017 at 12:49 AM (The Secret Life of Demons)
      Backstory:
Extremely long story short: I'm a dreamer and I dream with lots of different dreamers, spirits, and entities. I have a very open mind, have lots of relatively cool dreams, but I'm extremely mistrustful and sarcastic. Simply, I don't like most people due to a somewhat higher-than-average intelligence. All this said, here we go:

      3 months ago:
Nightmares building up to larger nightmares. Not-so-fun lucid dreams.

      2 months ago:
Captured and residing as a captive in a not-so-fun location. All month long.

      1 month ago:
Dreams involving a long and painful killing (of me) by my old roommate. At the height of it I was waking up kicking and screaming (so unusual for me).

      June:
Finally feeling like myself. I ate something terrible in dreams three months ago hence I felt pretty lame until now. I had wondered what revived me and brought me back and it seems it was an assortment of things and people. This morning I woke from dreaming (grateful to have uneventful dreams) and thought of DreamViews. I was thinking, perhaps, maybe some of the answers for what I've been up to might be found here. Having found some interesting details, I'm pleasantly surprised. It seems when I'm on the edge of death I reach out to people. Go figure.

While reaching out it seems there was some kinship involved and I brought somewhat of a mess with me. Just, let me say this: you should've seen the other guy. I was hoping healers would do what they do best and it seems they had. I mean, they exorcised thousands of demons from me years ago, what's one more dark entity?

      Notes:
Dreams can be insane. They lead to adventures of consciousness which can't always be rationally explained. How does one rationally explain telepathy? How does one explain that I needed to come to DV today? When there's a strong enough need, desire, or intent this is what often allows telepathic communication to occur. I may not like re-connecting (or even connecting) with people, but sometimes when it's life or death it warrants unusual circumstances. Now that things are decent I'm uncertain what's left in terms of adventure. I mean, I've already done quite a bit for a few lifetimes--I'm sorta hoping happiness and enjoyment are in my future. I'm pretty fucking tired of the whole slaying demons thing.

Speaking of happiness and enjoyment, I'm somewhat interested in dream sharing if anyone is interested in having their sanity challenged.
    3. Possession

      by , 12-29-2016 at 03:49 PM
I'm talking to the thing which is possessing/has become a part of a friend of mine. It's attempting to be threatening, and I'm attempting to stall. We're talking about why it would bother possessing someone at all.

Although I don't say this out loud, I'm thinking that for me the appeal is what I think of as different flavors, the experience of different personalities/perspectives, when from the outside they pretty much all seem alike. And I'm also thinking that travel is the more obvious reason, the one that it would expect me to guess without having any personal experience with possession; and I think that sure, visiting Hawaii and seeing some pretty scenery is always appealing, but then there's the way humans will get up close to an active volcano, which is the really interesting part - meaning their thought process, not the volcano or even the danger itself.

But the thing possessing my friend says that what it likes is the conversation; that we've been talking now for two minutes without pause, and it's enjoying the novelty. I don't get the appeal, but whatever works for you.
    4. Reclaiming: Possession and Destruction

by , 11-06-2016 at 04:04 PM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was in a cabin of sorts. I was with friends. I baked/cooked a cake for another friend whose birthday won't be on till after a few months. I thought of putting it in the fridge. For some reason, they had some reasons not to put it in some fridge located somewhere. One was in that cabin but for some reason, we had to move. Something about disturbing the spirits. We also thought of putting in the house fridge but won't the person find it easily?

We "went out" of the place using a special key and a special door. We traveled through the spirit realm (why?). And we walked and avoided and escaped the malevolent spirits of the realm. There were two particular spirits we avoided: one was a male shadowy figure that follows us and one white ragged woman who screams and chases us. I remember hiding behind some crates and avoiding her. There were also some "puppy spirits." At least they looked like puppies. They were used by a teacher and some children to practice escaping from. There "attack" in swarms. I was going through a door when a swarm rained in. I led them out the door with difficulty but without any negative emotions whatsoever.

Somehow, I was caught and I felt my physical body turn to the left. I was told in the dream it's wrong and somehow spirits can enter that way.

This part happened somewhere in between. There's no linearity in the dream (like in some dreams). I was with a family flying through space. We went through zero space, and we've "heard" about some delays in such a travel but thought they were rare occurrences and don't have any serious repercussions. There was a boy (third-person) in this family who seems to have such a delay and asked where the others were and what took them so long. For the rest, it was an almost instant flight. I was that boy (first person).

We were being chased by other space fighters (I don't know the name of the small space ships used to harass bigger ships without causing a lot of damage due to the energy shielding). I had a hard time with the controls. I turn too fast so instead of arcing back, I end up facing the enemy almost face-to-face with our ship. The rest were away. I was eventually able to control it enough so I see... stars and space and space stuff instead of a poorly modeled image of the fighter or the nearby planets and moons. I felt elated.

My ship was destroyed. I was possessed.

I was in a familiar place. I think it's the place in the "first" part of the story. I was kept in a room, and I felt different. I felt like I was glowing and there's a tingle throughout my "skin." I overheard that a woman (a friend?) was partially possessed. I went out/through the walls and doors and approached her in a room. I "absorbed" whatever was possessing her and I left. I felt stronger.

I think this is a separate story but somehow still connected to the possession dream. I was at home. It was evening and very dark. We went home and closed the gate, but somehow, someone forgot to close one of the two gates. There's like another perimeter around the house, and there are two boys/guys just outside the inner perimeter, which means the outer one was open. A child was talking but I could barely understand. Mom was saying something too complaining about the other gate not being locked.

I was outside the house. It was morning, or at least daytime. Someone was teaching me how to fly properly. I was able to "jump" on the first level with his help and then jumped the next two after. I looked up and saw the clouds. I was elated. I wanted to fly about the clouds and stay there. I was partially lucid and happy to be able to experience that.

Everything was falling apart. Buildings were crumbling down. Alien attack? It was like a game in 3D. I used my possession skills to hold back falling buildings and debris. I felt powerful.

I woke up feeling powerful and in control.

      ---

      Notes:

      - I went to sleep feeling down. After a few days of anxiety due to an overwhelming addition to my required subjects to take to finish school, I had my previous dream that really brought me down. I could barely do anything so I went to sleep. That was around 7:30 pm. I woke up around 10:00 pm. I thought the dream was so long I could swear I woke up around 3 or 4 am.
      - I felt powerless these several months, from failing to finish some courses I need to proceed with my long-term plan to being unable to complete Inktober or start NaNoWrimo (again). I think I was trying to regain control by putting an enforced structure (school).
      - There were a lot of mental chats that had no image. I was talking to myself about the meaning of the dream within the dream. A short while after(?) waking up but still lying down, I thought about how I reclaimed a part of myself (through possession and self-destruction) and it made me (feel?) stronger.

Questions: How do I know this feeling of control is not as illusory as the feeling of lack of control? Both have real-life repercussions if wrong, and even if right, how do I distinguish what's within and without my control? How do I know I'm making the right decisions if my senses and mind betray me?

For now, back to basics: simplify.
    5. Iudex

      by , 10-23-2016 at 03:23 PM
A woman made a deal with one of my kind, a short man in a black suit who irritates me, and so he's placed his mark on her wrist, a symbol in the shape of a sword, representing "Iudex," the judge. This will allow him to possess her, though she was unaware of this. I'm furious. He's well within his rights, but I deeply dislike him and his people who bear that symbol; I'm going to destroy his mark. It's not difficult, any changes to the lines in her skin will do the job. I ask her to choose the method (a knife) and if she wants me to do it for her or if she'd rather do it herself (she asks me to do it), three horizontal cuts distort the symbol sufficiently, and then I set out a bandage for her.
    6. Witch, possessed

      by , 09-05-2016 at 04:01 PM
A young woman's walking quickly through the woods just before dawn - the trees are sparse and thin, lots of fallen leaves from past seasons covering the ground; she's wearing simple dark clothing and a white cap, from maybe around the 1500s. She's very nervous. I follow her as she steals a black hen - she's thinking about some dog as she does it - and makes her way to a well.

But just as she reaches the well, an older woman grabs her and shouts, "Witch! Possessed!" This woman's familiar to me. Painfully thin, red hair so short and strangely cut that I suspect it's growing out after being shaved off completely, wearing a nightdress as if she'd just seen my witch and jumped out of bed to stop her, but I don't believe it's a coincidence that she's here; I believe hunting witches is something she's done before.

The scene changes. Three men - two middle-aged, one older, all still looking like it's the 1500s - are discussing the woman who'd been caught as a witch, and her mother. Her mother had been the same, accused of "magical transformations," but she'd died years and years ago, and the daughter had been raised by another since she was a child, changed her family name. The last these men had heard of her, she was to be married to some knight. They frame this marriage as a very good thing, that she had a good life that she's thrown away; but I hear them say this and I think indeed she was married to him, and that had gone very badly for her, and that's why she summoned me.

Later. Different scene entirely, my IRL home, a pair of men attempted to break in and I turned them into cats. Cat burglars. They made for very angry cats but I was pleased with myself for the joke, and my sister had been wanting a white cat anyway.

    7. Dream 9.24.12

      by , 10-15-2015 at 09:22 PM
I'm no stranger to grotesque nightmares, and last night was one of those weird ones...

My dad, brother, some stranger, and I were all sitting in this newly renovated house. High ceilings, hardwood floors, white walls, and brand new furniture. I can't remember why we were all there, but I kind of remember looking at this house as a possibility for a new home for me, my brother, and my dad, and the unknown man might have been the previous owner or one who was selling the house. We were all sitting in the living room, which was at ground level connected to the kitchen and had a large window making up most of the outside facing wall. We were all chatting when, all of a sudden, the previous owner (a tall, dark haired man with glasses) started frantically telling us about how this house is terribly haunted. (not such a good selling point).

Then we hear strange music, like jack-in-the-box music, coming from one of the bedrooms which also lead out to the kitchen. The man ran into the bedroom to retrieve an old Super Nintendo controller, not plugged into anything, yet it seemed to create this music. I was sitting on the carpet, with my back to the large window, facing the kitchen; I saw a floral pattern chair move on its own in the kitchen. I told my dad, who was sitting on the couch facing the large window. The air began to get thick and felt almost charged. I expressed to the others that we should REALLY get out of there. We all quickly proceeded to the door to find it covered around the frame by HUGE black spiders. Seriously, like spider bodies’ as big as my fist. I busted through the door with my dad and brother right behind me. We got out safely, the other man did not.

When I realized he didn't make it out, I immediately went to the large window looking into the living room. The man was panicked, frantic, trying his best to run to the door but something was keeping him in the room. He couldn't physically get out of the room. Then, the lights blew out, and the man was tossed about the room by an invisible force, like a rag doll. Then his body was stopped midair, he began to show cuts and wounds all over his body, he began to scream. I looked to the other side of the room, there standing in shadow, was a small girl, about the age of 11. Long dark hair to her waist, was staring at the man, with a devilish grin. Blood was oozing from her ears, eyes, and mouth yet she seemed to not be in any pain. She noticed I was watching the scene and looked me straight in the eye through the window, her own eyes shown only black pits. It was then I realized she was the one haunting the house, and causing the man pain. She then increased the man’s pain and torture, making his screams even louder. I was not lucid at any point in this dream, yet for some reason, I knew I could control the situation, or use some sort of power to help him. I stepped back from the window, put out my hands and forced my energy through the window and at the little girl/demon. It seemed to work for a time. I pushed her back; enough to make her hold on the man break, and his body fall to the floor. I continued my assault on the girl, trying every trick or power I could come up with. I knew that I just had to distract her long enough for the man to get to the door. I forced all my will and energy and made the girl’s head explode. I thought it was over. Then, as if someone pushed rewind, her head reconstructed itself; with a smile she continued her torture on the man. I kept trying; cutting off her head, slitting her throat, anything, but nothing took a lasting effect. I shouted to the man, “the moment I attack, run for the door!” I pulled out everything I could in that moment, but the man did not move. After my attempt he shouted back, “I can’t even move.” So angry and frustrated with my failed attempt, I screamed at the girl through the window, pounding my fists on the glass. I realized then that she had no concern for the man, and that her only goal was me. I then said, “She wants me, she’s trying to lure me in the house, knowing I can’t let that man die, knowing I would save him.” Her black eyes starring at me, never looking away. I turned away from the window, trying to think of a way to save the man. My dad, in awe of what he saw looked at me, “where did you learn that? Where did you gain that kind of power?” I couldn't answer and only looked away.
      I woke up…
    8. Non-Lucid some time in late 2011/early 2012

      by , 10-15-2015 at 09:11 PM
Really vivid non-lucid dream I had the other night. I think it was either monday night or Tuesday night.

The dream starts off with me and a few of my friends hanging out in my old house on Adolph street in Rockford. Everything inside the house was exactly the way I remembered it as a kid. I remember vividly who all was there (for the sake of this note I'll just notate them with a single letter.) I remember my friends K, S, B, and possibly M being there. We were all just hanging out and talking when for some reason we all decided to step outside. It was mid winter (actual mid winter...with snow on the ground) I don't know why we decided to go outside but that was all forgotten when we noticed something strange going on in the house next door. The main front door was wide open so we could see into the house through the screen door. Inside I could see the silhouette of a skinny woman, pacing around her house and clutching her head as if she were in pain.

Apparently this person was a friend of both K and S and so they let themselves in the house to see what was up. Inside I could hear the woman screaming. I walked inside the house behind them. The layout of the house was not unlike my own next door. The carpet was a strange brownish color, the walls were a fake wood-like look. The couch of this house was placed against the right wall right as you walk into the door, and her TV was directly on the opposite wall. The kitchen and dinning room were further into the house. They were smaller, with one small table for meals. The house itself was dimly lit. I turned to the woman to find that she was abnormally tall. Her limbs were very long and skinny. Throughout the dream I realized that her arms and legs only seemed to grow longer. Her skin was a pale grey, almost dead like. She had long brown hair about down just past her shoulders. She looked like any average woman about my age. She saw that we had come into her house, and didn't even recognize any of us, even K, and S who were supposedly her friends. She didn't even speak to us directly, only pacing around her living room screaming and saying things like "i don't want to die" and just real disturbing things. She would switch from forming complete sentences and thoughts to just speaking gibberish and swearing. All the while she was doing this her face would be contorted and strange. After a few moments of this she sat down on her sofa and just began wailing and saying things like "I will take your soul" but the voice that said this was not her own. Right then I knew exactly what was happening. I found myself to be a little frightened and taken by surprise. Even in non-lucid dreams these types of things don't usually scare me (at least not since I was real young.)

I told everyone to meet me outside of the house. We stepped out onto the porch of the house. I turned to both K and S and before even saying my idea they seemed to beat me to the punch. S turned to me and said "she's possessed isn't she?" I just nodded my head yes. I then replied "but I know what to do." I began gathering some things that I could use for an exorcism, but before I could begin both K and S said that they could handle it, and she was their friend. It almost seemed like they did not believe I had the knowledge and skill to perform such a task. So I said "ok" and stepped back to see what they had planned to do for this situation. All of their efforts seemed useless. After what seemed like several minutes of failure I took them aside and said "look, I think you are going about this all wrong, I've got everything I need here to do this, let me try and if nothing works then you can try again." They agreed and so I began my work. I placed sacred stones around her in a circle along with a sponge like material that was also blessed. I told K and S, "these particular items will absorb the bad energy of the demon, and will prevent it from escape while we help the girl." I then took out some holy water and began an exorcism. The dream kind of blurred beyond then but the next thing I knew the girl was fine, sleeping on her couch. S and K pulled me aside on the porch. All S could say to me was "thank you."

      The dream ended.
    9. A private elevator

      by , 08-31-2015 at 08:07 PM
I'm occupying someone else's body, and I-the-character am not entirely clear on the body's identity. A woman greets me in Korean, and following her expectations, I enter an elevator. I-the-dreamer am aware that the body I'm occupying owns this building, he's the president of a company, and this is his private elevator to his penthouse suite. There are no buttons inside the elevator; I-the-dreamer am aware it uses facial recognition, I-the-character am surprised when it starts to move.

The elevator opens onto his suite. There are a number of people in the bed, clearly after a party; the body's owner recognizes one of these people, the rest are strangers. I order everyone out; only that one exception stays. He's sitting up against the headboard, wearing an animal's pelt draped over his head, a wolf or a coyote. (It occurs to me after waking up that we were both wearing something else's skin.)

Another man appears, and he grips this man by the throat. I recognize him; he's the reason I-the-character occupied this particular body, in order to meet with him. He speaks to me, believing he's speaking to the body's owner. I-the-dreamer switch to third person because I want to see the expressions of me-the-character.

Speaking in English so that we won't be understood by the man with the animal pelt, I-the-character chide him for being "so eager to sink your teeth."

He says, "Not the only thing I'm good at. But surely we'll still eat this-"
    10. A cropped photo

      by , 04-09-2015 at 04:07 AM
I'm talking to a little boy, elementary school age, while possessing the body of his older sister. He's upset with me/her because (prior to me possessing her) there was a baby photo of him that she'd shown to others. But she'd been using an edited version of the photo, cropped so that he was the only thing in the picture. The original photo was from the crime scene where they'd been found, and he'd been lying between the bodies of their parents. He's upset that she would take this image, remove the ugly parts, and present it to others as just a normal baby picture.

This takes my host completely off guard. She hadn't thought of it from that angle, even while she'd edited the photo to make it acceptable to show to others. She's emotionally attached to the photo as a whole, it's something to remind her of her family from "before." She used to look at it and dial what used to be her mother's number, listen to the answering machine - there's no answering machine at that number anymore, but she'll still dial and hang up just out of habit, the familiarity of that number displayed on her phone.
    11. Avoiding the templars

      by , 03-31-2015 at 01:54 AM
Based on DA. There's this kid whose father had been an apostate and a friend of mine; I've been his guardian since his parents died, but I'm not around much. There's this old dwarf woman who's been acting as his tutor, and she's been telling me that the kid's started to show signs of inheriting his father's magic. Strange dreams, mostly. She's worried he'll attract a demon, get himself hurt - she wants to send him to the Circle to be trained. I completely refuse. His father worked hard to stay free of the Circle, I can't do that to his son. There must be someone else who can train him. In the meantime, we say nothing to the kid about any of this.

But we don't find anyone else, and eventually the old woman informs me that she's written to the Circle about him. They'll be sending templars to pick the kid up.

So I take the kid and we leave town. I don't explain why, and he thinks it's just a short trip. As we're walking on a path through the woods, he's telling me about a fennec he'd found out back, and how he's been trying to befriend it. But as he talks, his voice changes, goes deeper, and he starts saying strange things; I stop and turn around to look at him, and find the features of his face are shifting slightly, starting to resemble a sloth demon. That fades away, his face and voice returns to normal, but he's frightened - and he recognizes that was the beginning of possession.

He'd watched a friend of his become possessed once; he says he'd rather be killed than go through that. He runs off into the woods. I follow, but I don't find him.

    12. Five-Eyed Rabbit

by , 02-20-2015 at 09:52 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was walking in a dark corridor. I was with two people. I think one was my sister and the other is "Bob." (lol)

We were looking at ancient civilization architecture/dioramas/etc., but the light seems too dark. Even when we turn on some light, it's still too dark. After we saw one area, I told them about another ancient civilization area on the hallway to my right. I was thinking it's even more ancient.

We went in and it's still dark. We went inside an "ancient" house, although it looked more like a house in the Philippines during the Spanish era. We were walking around and I can barely see anything. I heard the voice of a child, so I thought someone must be inside. I turned on the light on my phone while we were walking. I partially saw a torso and legs of a kid (boy, I think) lying down on a table to my left. He was moving a bit, like he was woken up. I was going to approach him, but the other two went up the stairs, seemingly in a hurry, while still not running. I followed after them. They jumped out of the window. I was going to go out but I just felt tired and I let my arms hang limp over the window as I watch them retreat to my right. The window is level to the ground even though we went upstairs.

I felt strange because I wanted to go out the window but I was tired. I felt something cold in the center of my back, and I somehow knew something isn't right. The child, it would seem, was a spirit, and I think the other two knew it so they hurried. However, it caught me before I was able to get out, and it possessed me.

I partially awakened IRL and I felt cold around my torso (even my back, though I was lying down) and around my arms, as if I was "glowing," but instead of warmth, it was cold. I became slightly worried at the possession but I got over it. (seems it was the fan and cold weather outside)

I was back in the dream and I was with five people (or were there four and I was the fifth?). They were supposed to be bad guys. They wore dark-colored clothing. I was looking at myself. "I" was a human-sized rabbit with five floating wooden rectangular tiles with a symbol on each, and those things were floating in front of me. One was right in front of my face. They're supposed to be "eyes." For some reason, I got the nickname "Five-Eyed Rabbit." It seems it's the spirit that possessed me.

We were going to fight my previous allies, and since I was possessed, I was on their side. The other bad guys were laughing about it. I think I was either not going to fight or have the rabbit control me. I complained out loud. I wanted to "have fun" as well, and I usually just get to watch the fight from a third-person perspective. They thought about it and let me fight.

Along the way, my "rabbit" form changed to a human-like form, but still with long rabbit ears. My body was dark and covered with tattoos. The five floating "eyes" were still there.

I can't remember much of the fight, but I found myself jumping up some "ancient" walls. I keep seeing walls, usually blank, and I was getting lucid. I finally reached the top of the wall, and I saw nothing but some light. It somehow symbolized awakening or enlightenment. I became some sort of holy man. I changed the other bad guys to good. It felt more like Avatar Aang somehow. From third-person view, I saw "me" as a monk-like person, shaven and wearing robes.

We were on a boat. It looks... light. Yellow, somehow, but not the drab yellow I usually see in my dreams. This one is bright yellow but doesn't hurt the eyes. It felt... Chinese, somehow. (Dragonboat? Chinese New Year?)

There were some bad guys in the boat but fortunately, they weren't able to escape. The bottom part of the boat where they were supposed to escape was sealed. I don't remember what they were there for.

In another area of the boat, we were talking about how to turn the wealth that's being accumulated to help the people. There's one guy there, not a monk like many present, who kept thinking of expanding. I suggested to keep cycling the income enough to pay the expenses and give the rest to... charity? The people? Improve people's lives? (unclear)

It was then that I shared I need to go soon. I need to go out and see the world (help more people?).

I was on a bus during daytime. I was with a friend or just an acquaintance (it keeps on changing during the bus ride). I went down, but then I was inside a jeep at night in Quiapo. I was thinking of going home. I looked at the shops outside. Then I saw that we were going through the underpass. I was supposed to go down before the jeep goes down the underpass. I told the driver to drop me off at the next corner. He asked what street. I just pointed at the closest one.

I went down but saw that it was not a street at all but an entrance to a fancy restaurant. I walked a bit further. I saw Lico (who I think was in the jeep with me) eating inside a restaurant. I talked a bit to him and then I moved on. I was walking along the street. It seems too narrow to be a street. Someone (mom?) warned me to be careful. I took my trusty pen from my right pocket and felt secure. I can face anything with it. (I draw.)

    13. Two board games

      by , 01-25-2015 at 11:01 PM
I'm playing go with an old friend, and off to my left there's a woman who's thanking me on her hands and knees. I've just told her about the arrangements I've made to get her and her unborn child out of their current situation. I'm looking at the board, not at her, waiting for my friend to make his move - I'm smiling throughout this scene, since it irritates my friend. I haven't looked at the woman throughout the conversation. This was business, although I did take a personal interest since the father wasn't human. As she starts to leave, I tell her I'd like to see the child when it's born. Take it to a specific temple - I don't mention this last part, but there's a particular fox demon who lives behind that temple, a relative of mine, and I think he would take an interest in the child.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

The spirit of a certain man has been released and possessed someone, and since I and a friend of mine are the ones who bound him in the first place, a woman's asking me how we managed it the first time. I'm telling her it won't work again - we were relying on his trust in us. We prepared a meal and my friend put sleeping drugs in his soup. Scene changes to show that night - the three of us are having a casual conversation. I'm arguing against some point he's just made, and to illustrate my point, I compare it to chess players - although the point of the game is to defeat your opponent, it doesn't follow that a chess player would hate everyone else who plays chess, just because they intend to defeat them.
    14. Morgana

      by , 01-15-2015 at 10:17 PM
Someone I was traveling with has been possessed and physically transformed by the thing possessing them. I'd left them alone in the motel room where I thought they'd be safe while me and the other person we're traveling with, a young woman, were out.

I can see a woman I think of as Morgana watching us through the mirror - she's very beautiful, but thin to the point of starved, hunching over, tangled hair, filthy. The girl I'm traveling with immediately assumes the possession is Morgana's work. I'm not surprised she thinks that - from the little she's seen of Morgana, it would make sense for her to think we're enemies. But I can see what caused this, and it's not Morgana. One of the markings I put in place around the room to keep the kid safe has been destroyed. It must have happened when the girl fell earlier. This is my fault - I'd tried to protect her by keeping her ignorant of the details. If I'd explained things to her, she would have known the significance of that marking. Morgana's never been my enemy, not really; she's here to help - but I don't want her variety of help.

I'm arguing with Morgana over which one of us is going to handle this. Her voice is harsh, raw - partially from the situation and the tone she's using, but I also have the impression she just doesn't use her voice very often. She's just pointed out - correctly - that if the creature comes into direct contact with me, the corrupting effect I'd have on it would likely just make things worse. I'm saying, "I don't know what I'll do to it, but you don't know what it'll do to you." She takes corruption into herself, sealing it away and making it safe for everyone except herself. That's why she's communicating through the mirror instead of here in the flesh - she arranged to have herself sealed away a long time ago. She's been altered so much already, I don't want to see her do this again.

In response, she says, "I know I betrayed you. I'll prove to you I'm useful. Prove to me-"

    15. La'ulb, clipped wings, avoiding huli jing

      by , 11-22-2014 at 07:14 PM
A young woman's confronting this guy, a friend of hers, though she's annoyed at him at the moment. He's arranged things so as to create this sort of antichrist kid - it doesn't really have anything to do with her, but she's angry about it anyway, and is feeling tricked and betrayed by him in general. She asks him if he's Lucifer, expecting the answer to be yes.

"Nope. One of the major demons." He says it casually, he's smiling easily through this whole conversation. He's doing some kind of work in a manhole, and she's standing up on the surface with her arms crossed.

"What did you (word that means both infect and possess) my boyfriend with?"

"La'ulb. But it's clean, and I can take it off."

There's this young musician trying to get permission to leave a royal court - he wants to travel to a different country. He has to make a plea before the king, and he's deliberately trying to emulate the speech of an older man, a traveler passing through, who'd impressed him - as a disembodied observer, I'm amused, but I think it's a bad idea; it'll just make him sound artificial. He makes a comparison to a young bird having its wings clipped.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

After a short scene in which I'm reminded that cheating on a god out of boredom is not the best of ideas, followed by a shapeshifting fox turning up at my IRL door, I've wound up in a bit of trouble.

I'm now heading for the rear exit of a theatre, trying to avoid being seen by the group of women - not humans - who are coming up behind me; but through the glass door, I can see a pair of fox demons approaching - a pair of women all in white, dripping in silver jewelry. After hesitating, I decide I'd rather take my chances with the fox demons. There's a crowd of people, mostly girls who work here, coming in through that door, but I don't feel very optimistic about my chances of getting lost in the crowd - until one of the girls quickly slips off the blue robe she'd been wearing over her clothes and wraps it around me, and someone else puts an arm around my shoulders, pushing my head down so my face can't be easily seen.

He pulls me over to a side hallway and gives instructions to one of the showgirls to fetch the change of clothing he'd arranged for with her earlier. I know him - he's vaguely sinister but not in a way that I consider a threat to me personally, and I generally admire his skill at getting things done. It's a bit like having Hannibal Lecter on your side.
