    1. Shark Tank, Brief Moment of Lucidity

      by , 06-26-2014 at 01:36 PM
      06/26/14

      8am

      non-lucid

At a pet store with my husband. We came across this screen that lets you interact with a parrot. I would then find the actual parrot is behind the right corner of the shelf the screen is on.

I get separated from my husband and then catch up with him at the aquariums. This is a recoccuring dream setting. Inside a long, horizontal tank we see mini tanks for mini fish, like a mini clown fish. We discuss getting one. I also see normal sized clown fish inside the tank. We walk to the other side of the tank and come across the shark tanks. I avoid looking and run when it comes to the great whites. I wonder what would happen if the tanks broke.

We leave through this door that leads to an elevator. Another guy is also there. It starts lowering and then I realize we're lowering into the great white tank.

      lucid

I feel my paralyzed body and debate changing the scene and trying to accomplish my dream plan of going to Japan. But I know I have to get up for work since I've slept in, so I choose to wake up.

Reflections: I knew I could lucid dream, I just didn't have enough time unfortunately. But I think this is a great improvement. I actually had choice and was calm once finding out I was paralyzed. Usually when paralysis enters in, I try to wake myself up right away.
    2. Humanoid Hypnopompic Hallucination and Sudden Dream Recall

      by , 02-24-2014 at 06:19 PM
      Time unknown hypnopompic hallucination

I wake up to see a humanoid figure kneeling down at my cat, Miitan's level staring at her. My cat is stretched out laying on my husband's legs, not looking at the figure (if she was... that'd be very creepy). The figure is translucent and I can only really see the outline. It seems male to me. So different from my usual hallucinations, which are full of color and depth. I also rarely hallucinate humanoid figures and more often just spiders.

Dream recall at 10:30 am non-lucid

Lingering feeling about a farm after waking up. I felt like I wasn't going to remember any dreams from that night. I wasn't focused on dreaming that night and just wanted to rest. I laid in bed for a while, soaking up the comfort of my nice pillow and blankets, and then suddenly remembered my dream.

I went to my best friend's house, which in my dream world is a farm. I've dreamt it this way before. As always, we start off having a good time, but then we go to the mall with her friends, which like in previous dreams, leads me to going off on my own instead of sticking with the group.

In the dream I feel really self conscious about my looks, everything from the clothes that I'm wearing (which are really layered in the dream) to my hairstyle to my face, which leads me to feeling too embarrassed to hang out with her friends.

We stick around at the entertainment store, in which I point out some Japanese media. At one point I see a よつばと! box set, thinking how can this be, the creator of the manga doesn't want it to be an anime, but when I pick it up, I realize it's only a box set of the manga.

The next place I go with them is a pet store, which is more of an adoption center. I feel I really want to adopt a dog, but the prices range around $8000. I figure it'd be better to go to a breeder or adopt from a shelter. One of the dogs is strangely the face of a human woman with dark, medium-length crimpy hair and dark skin. One person pets her, but I find it odd. When I went up to her, she insults the way I look.

There's something about a play my friend's friends are going to perform later and we prepare for it, but I don't remember much.

I stay behind as they all head to a different store. I explore the mall. At one point, I reach a museum like area that I've been to with my friend in a previous dream but go to alone in this dream. I'm in line with people from another school and somehow when looking at myself in a mirror, taking off layers, trying to adjust my hair, end up exposing one of my breasts accidentally. I check to see if anyone noticed, and one boy who has dark skin and an afro did notice, but gives an expression that let's me know it's not a big deal and accidents happen.

Somehow I end up hanging out with that boy and his friends. They ask me to participate in their play, but I just can't accept, because I'd feel guilty not participating in my friend's but participating in theirs.

Somehow I make it back to my friend's house and feel guilty for not spending time with her, but hoping she understands. I'd rather just spend time with her one-on-one. She understands. I think about how am I going to get home without a GPS and figure I'll just ask her which way to the highway later.

At some point this girl, who's friends with us in the dream but I don't know in real life, comes through the window to hang out. She's Asian.

I think I see my friend's dad in the dream whom in real life I've never met before, but I don't remember.

Finished recording the dream at 10:50 am.
    3. Yet Another False Awakening, Paralysis Lucid Dream

      by , 02-20-2014 at 04:28 PM
This morning my husband woke me up to say goodbye before going to work. I got up and brushed my teeth (don't like the bad taste) then went back to bed. Like usual, before falling asleep I thought about the possibility of an intruder and worried I'd have another intruder, false-awakening, paralysis dream in which I knew I was awake.

I fell asleep with my cat on the bed and the cat was still sleeping with me in the dream. I remember seeing my window, which has brown curtains, and knowing that I was still sleeping. I could feel myself paralyzed in bed and wanted to wake up. At this point I was half paralyzed, as I was lifting up my arm, stretched out towards the window. In my thinking in the dream, I was half awake, but in reality it was all a dream and my real body outside of the dream wasn't moving at all. I thought if only I can move enough, then I'll fully wake up. Finally, I struggle off the bed and onto the floor, then hear a tune very audibly. It was unfamiliar to me. A few seconds later I wake up. When I wake up, I wonder if the tune was coming from outside the dream or fabricated in the dream (often I rely on cues from reality to help me wake up from false awakening dreams, like the radio or an alarm, but I didn't this time) and realized it was in the dream. I knew I didn't know the tune, but I wondered if it was the song from Helix that my dad sent me as a ringtone recently. It wasn't perfectly like it, but it reminded me of it. Now I don't remember how the tune goes. This is the first time that this particular reoccuring dream has had a tune in it.

This was all with the knowledge in my dream that this same scenario happens all the time, and when it happens an intruder will come or my husband will come home early. I want to wake up so badly because I don't want to face the intruder. This time I didn't face him at all. My last encounter with the intruder I was trying to block him from opening up the door and suddenly woke up (I wasn't aware I was dreaming in this instance). I've also seen him in person in the dream, an Asian man (my husband is Japanese), but looks nothing like my husband. But it didn't seem like he is going to hurt me.

Usually, I'm really scared of this dream happening. But now I want to face it and talk to the intruder. So I hope to post more dream journals here and track my progress on this particular dream.

    4. Reoccuring Kitchen

by , 09-04-2013 at 06:13 PM (Dream fragments and observations)
I wouldn't call them nightmares but I am very frustrated with them. Last night would make five total in the last two months. I think I'll make it a dream sign.

Recently a little mean old chef I used to work for tried to get a hold of me to see if I'm still interested in working for him. I am not.

But the idea bothered me on some level I didn't realize it could. This is the fifth dream I've had in two months about physically working in this kitchen I've never once set foot in before. And it's always the same layout. I should swing by to see if my subcontious is correct.

The dreams always start the same. There is a "breakfast nook" with a range top and several strange small pieces of equipment I've never seen before. It's surrounded by a light colored wooden bar area where old people get to watch me make their breakfast. I'll find myself cooking, then a customer will complain. Or the sus chef will start asking me to do other work and I fall behind.

Once I was late by 12 hours, and got a talking to. Last night I found myself taking a 3 hour break just so I wouldn't have to return to this senario, but when I came back, I found all the other cooks doing my job in frustration and I still had 3 more hours on the end of my shift. Last night I was finally able to clock out of work and end this shift I've never once been able to get through. So I went into the locker room to change and found old people who complained to the front desk I was changing out of my uniform.

I haven't worked for this man in nearly 7 years, I feel like I'm slaving away for him in my sleep! yuk!
    5. Got to go back to the beatiful Town, the beach particularly.

      by , 08-10-2013 at 11:10 PM
So I was back at this beautiful city I come upon in my dreams occasionally.

I was back at the beach this time (like my 4th dream of this place over the past year or more). It seemed to be a lil further down the beach.

First thing I see right at the edge of the water is a fkin huge fin just go back and forth and submerge, then one even closer. Brain decides hit must be a drop-off, no way a fin that big could belong to anything that could hide in that shallow of water without it not being.

Then this guy pops up right inbetween where I saw fins, and I realize/decide it must of been the fins he was wearing. I thought sharks because the last time I was at this place..... you can see little ones all over the place in the clear water and occasionally a real big one.

I mention to the guy how I mistook his snorkel fins for shark fins. He starts talkin about how there are a few big ones down there, talking about a thousand to 1500 feet depth. Whic his like.... impossible. Anyway he says he had to hide a for a bit when one cut off his route back and that he had to wait for it to be clear.

I was like flabberghasted hearing this because... in the back of my head I recognize the place as one from my dreams. He had already continued on his way, seeming to be done diving.

I look back at the beach. Its a smaller one than the one up the coast, this side seems to be an easy 500 yards long, coming to the end of the coast before it begins wrapping back towards the other direction.

Seperating the two beaches is this Mountains bit of sand, hundreds of feet up, rather steep looking also.

Looking back at the water I can see several women in their bathing suits on this raised bit of sand out in the water, still close to the shore, but probably some thigh deep waters between it and the mound of sand. What was odder far out in the distance..... was polar bears? on like... an iceberg. For some reason I think they were chained up, but they were pretty far out there.

Wokeup/went to a different dream before I could got exploring some more of the beach/town.
    6. Big House

      by , 12-09-2012 at 11:37 AM
      Dec 8, 2012

I recall walking through a house with 9 to 10 large rooms arranged either like a 3 by 3 or 3 by 4. I wasn't lucid but I was felt the eeriness of the dream. The large house is a reoccurring figure in my dreams. The house becomes more familiar with each successive dream in it. I vaguely remember upon entering the house that a voice directed me towards the kitchen, where I believed people to have been in.
    7. Who are you?...

      by , 02-10-2012 at 07:59 PM
I don't know his name but I've been dreaming about him since I was about 10 years old...and when I was a kid he was a kid. But now since I'm older (21) he appears older in my dreams. He has messy dark hair and bright blue eyes. I have no idea what his name is, I have tried to ask him many times but he never says...I have never seen him in my life, but I feel a strong connection to him...In my dreams I am always in danger and hes always the one who saves me.
    8. Cults, sacrifices, Charles Manson look-a-likes, and grilled cheese.

      by , 07-10-2011 at 06:20 PM
The dream I had last night was sort of like a repeat dream, I'd had the dream before. It's not like its a reoccuring nightmare, because the dream doesn't scare me, it was just one of my more vivid dreams so I'm assuming thats why I had it again.

At the beginning of my dream I'm on the bus I ride to school with a few people I know from school, two significant in the dream are R.C. (Cay is her username on here, she has some interesting dreams that I seem to appear in a lot, as she does with mine) and N.A. a guy I've known since kingergarden. The man driving the bus isn't my normal bus driver, Ed, he's some too-skinny, haggard looking guy, who could really use a shave. Somewhat resembling Charles Manson. N.A. is making small chat while I'm trying to figure out why R.C. won't move or say anything.

We arrive at a remote location in the woods and are given our bag of clothes from the bus and told to find our houses. At this point I'm noticing that I've seen this place before and I've seen that creepy guy before.

I start to get really excited and start shouting, "I'm dreaming!" Naturally my DC's are staring at me, when I notice that Aaron Withrow is standing among the people. He smiles at me, waves and then walks off towards where his "house" is located. Me and R.C. also start off towards our own house. We are the only two who share a house and we live far away from anyone else. While living in these woods me and R.C. never leave our home. R.C. is actually some sort of depressed, disturbed teenager that rarely leaves her room and paints some pretty strange pictures. My personal favorite being the girl hanging from the tree in what looks like Lake Hylia from Ocarina of Time.

Anyway, so R.C. is a shut in who I barely see but live with and N.A. comes to my house almost every day and proceeds to put moves on me while I show no interest the entire time. This time around though, I don't stay in the house, I venture off to find where Aaron lives and maybe have a deep conversation with him, like I seen in Waking Life. When I see what I sense is Aaron's home, I notice the Manson look-a-like is outside chatting it up with him and start panicking, something I'm notorious for. Aaron glances towards the general direction where I'm huddled underneath a briar bush, although none of the briars seem to cut me. He smirks and finishes up his conversation with the creeper. Creeper man leaves and Aaron comes to help me out of this most uncomfortable position and place.

I thank him and ask him if I can ask him a few questions. He tells me to come inside, which is when I notice that his house is the exact same as from my zombie/monster dream, and still as messy on the inside. "You should really clean up," I comment. "You should start asking your questions," he retorts. Even my DC's are smartasses like myself. All he really tells me is that yes, I am dreaming, yes, we are in some type of cult, and yes, R.C. plays a significant role in this cult. I start to ask what kind of role when N.A. rushes into Aaron's house. Aaron doesn't look away from me and I'm freaking out trying to figure out what N.A. is yelling at me asking where R.C. and why I'm not with her. "She's a big girl, dude, she can take of herself," I'm starting to get kind of annoyed. "No, your supposed to protect her, that's why you were living her. Go home! Before they come for her!" I'm not to fond of the idea of someone coming and kidnapping my best friend so I run home with N.A. right behind me and when I get there my friend E.N. is forcing himself into R.C.'s room and she lunges and bites him much like she did in my dream before. I'm sighing with relief at first when I remember that E.N. is apparently part of this cult and they want something to do with R.C. which I will not allow. I tell E.N. to let go of her and to get the fuck out of our house. He drops her and leaves like I expect him to and then I go to comfort her, totally forgetting she's a psychopath in this dream. She shoves me down, which is very unlikely to happen IRL (if you knew her, you'd understand she's not the strongest) and then locks herself in her room.

N.A. finds me sitting bewildered on the floor and helps me up while telling me that I can't ever leave R.C. by herself because they'll do anything to capture her. What they want with her is unknown to me but if being a shut in is what I have to do to protect I'll do it. I try to call Aaron like R.C. has done in some of her dreams with her DC, Ken. It doesn't work and I become increasingly annoyed. Like in my dream before food is always appearing in our house, R.C. dislikes N.A., I keep her supplied with paint and canvas to make her pictures, and she only roams the house at night when I'm asleep and she hangs up the pictures she paints around the house, that's also the time when she eats whatever leftovers. I have left out for her. Her favorite is grilled cheese.

Also, there are these cult meetings just about every night and from my house, the only thing I can note about these meetings is that there's a large fire and a lot of movement from the shadows I seen. One night I notice their having one of these meetings and since everyone is there except me and R.C. I figured it was a good time to see if Aaron was home. The distance between these houses is pretty significant so I visualize myself on his porch and then, I'm there. Which comes in handy.

Aaron is home and just sitting on his couch staring at the wall (no technology in these homes except for basic electricity). I try talking to him but he's in some sort of trance and after about an hour N.A. rushes into Aaron's home again asking where R.C. is and telling me I need to find her right now. I start panicking cause he seems pretty concerned for her well-being and try to visualize myself home. Now is when I figure out that I can't do any of the handy teleporting when I'm panicking. I run home and find that someone has already found R.C. and taken her somewhere.

Now I'm panicking even more. I try to relax and "reach out" for her and am able to sense she's somewhere near the fire. I take off towards there and when I come to the clearing where its held I find Manson creeper getting ready to slice into R.C.'s throat. I kick him in a man's most vulnerable part of the body and untie R.C. from the stake she's attatched to. She's about as weak as I know her to be IRL after you squeeze the back of her neck to hard. N.A. comes up to help me with her since now she's gone limp and appears to have passed out. He drapes her over his back to where she's riding him piggyback and I'm just now noticing that everyone else at this "meeting" is dressed like the boys from Lord of the Flies and their all staring at me and getting ready to pounce.

I scream when one of them grabs me from behind and E.N. is coming at me with same knife they were going to use on R.C. When he stabs me, I feel nothing but I know I'm in trouble. I've never died in a dream so I'm freaking out once again. He goes on stabbing me but it just feels like he's pushing his hand on different parts of my body. N.A. starts screaming, "Wake up, wake up, your dying!" Which is the lyrics to one of my brothers bands songs. So I respond with, "Oh my god, you know I'm trying!"
And am now in my bed, heart pounding and sweating.

    9. Reoccuring Dream

      by , 10-04-2010 at 09:36 PM
I have had a similar dream that has occured 3 times now in the past 2 months that I can remember. The first 2 dreams of this kind happened within the same month. The 3rd one happened just last week. In all 3 dreams there was a spider web and a spider. The first dream there was a fly that kept flying into the web and I kept telling it No! Stay away from the web & stop flying into it...but the fly didn't listen. I woke up as I saw the spider crawling to the fly. The 2nd dream involved a butterfly that was stuck to the web and couldn't get away. I watched as the spider attacked the butterfly and ate it. The most recent and 3rd dream involved a small bird, maybe a sparrow, that kept flying into the web similar to the first dream.
