I live with two guys, one plays musical instruments and talks about his synthesizer while grabbing his saxophone, I think they might be robots.

We were having dinner in the dark, I'm not sure if they noticed that the dinning room lights weren't on, I forced myself to wake up when ot became super dark.

I've been very sleep deprived from work as well as having dreamless nights lately, took a short nap during my lunch break.

I dreamed that I was in my bed, trying to fall asleep when I suddenly realised that my room became bigger, the wall next to my bed was moved a few meters further. There's a darkskin girl with me in the room and my roommate shows up back from the barbershop with bright white skin and light grey curly hair and a beard like an ancient philospher statue. It made the three of us laugh out so loud I felt my brain throbbing.

I knew I was dreaming and walked into my bed to try and wake up, noticing the dept of my surprisingly big room as well as my unrecognisable roommate flash between odd and normal like flickering lights. I suddenly thought about that Joey Bada$$ interview where he talked about astral projecting at that moment, but I knew that I had to get back to work soon. I was, however still dreaming even though the dream was literally me lying in my bed.

I then briefly wake up and doze off again dreaming that I'm traveling to the Friedrichstraße station, but I was naked and my clothes were in a storage locker in w different train station. This time I knew I was dreaming and woke up, just relaxing in my bed before the alarm went off.

Working late shifts this week, they may start three hours later, but for my routine and body clock there's not any more difference other than the day being three hours longer. Woke up tired yesterday, and went to bed right after the shift ended which caused me to wake up at 2 am and stay awake until 6 am. I then set alarms for an hour every hour until my shift started, I woke up before the alarm went off each time.

The first dream I've had convinced me that my roommate was a fish, I woke up confused because I have nothing seen him in water at once. Although he does work in the kitchen and occasionally goes to the bathroom...

I can't recall the second dream, but the last dream consisted of me playing in a Dutch television series. The series was set in the 80s about a white wealthy family who owns a bed and breakfast at the beach. I play their adopted son. My "sister" was played by a theatre student who actually came from a blue blood family.
The show was a mystery show, a boy and his monkey (probably the son of the family) go treasure hunting. He tells his friend and shows him a book before running off with his monkey partner. The friend reads the book and discovers his own family owns treasure here at the beach. He goes to the spot and discovered that his friend with the monkey partner already dug it up. He then angrily runs and climbs up the sand hill where the BnB is located.

Meanwhile, my character wakes up and walks towards the elevation to go to the cafeteria. His sister asks him from the stairs if he thinks peanut butter is good for you. Confused by the completely random questions say "sure" before getting handed a breakfast coupon by her just so I can eat the hotel breakfast.

I then zoom out of the world map from the 80s to which I started using Photoshop's magical wand tool to highlight Northern Europe. It keeps messing up and then I go to Wales before I wake up in real life.

I don't know anything about Wales, might be an interesting vacation destination.

Dream was in Dutch, the second one at least as I don't recall any dialogue in the first dream.

Similar story to yesterday, but this time I gave up early lol screw clubbing in Berlin.

Me and a friend I'm meeting today were classmates in high school, my roommate and the self-titled class clown from high school were constantly wreaking havoc in class. It was strange because 1) the dream was in Dutch even though my roommate is from a different country and has a thick accent, and 2) my roommate is a grown adult who doesn't act immature like that.
My teacher got especially mad after discovering the two abused a boy and angrily kicked them out of the class and threatened to turn them in.

My friend and I were sitting class on a couch facing the wrong direction but figured now would be a bad time to turn the couch around given the circumstances.

Unlike most of my other school themed dreams, this one didn't take place in my old middle school at all but seemingly some centre where people take courses with the computer-projector setting of community college.
Thinking about it, I haven't had any dreams set at my old middle school at all, it's been over a decade since I attended that school irl I think I finally moved on
    5. 6 Aug: A couple serial killers kill my friend

      by , 08-06-2022 at 06:18 PM (Lucid-schizo-dreamer)
      non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid FA / AP

A friend from school disappears. She had introduced me to her new boyfriend and another friend, and they both seemed like shady guys and I feel like they are responsible for her disappearance. So at night I go to a piece of land where we've been hanging out with them. One day I noticed one of them being very interested in the sandy soil of that plot of land and making comments like "it's so easy to dig a hole in here". I start digging with my bare hands under a tree where we'd sit and I find a foot. I am planning on calling the police as soon as I leave the place, but her so-called boyfriend appears and catches me still digging. I pretend I am not shocked or scared to see him, when he asks what I am doing. I know he was dating her but he also had a crush on me, so I run with that. I say I suspected he had got rid of her and I needed to be sure. As expected, he is a fucking psycho and he confesses murdering her. I fooled him and he seems happy that apparently I wanted him to myself. He kinda invites me to sit down and lay on the ground with him, over the place she is buried. I accept and allow him to flirt with me under the stars while he goes on about why he had to do it. I totally convinced him, but then his other friend shows up and he is not buying it. He doesn't trust me and I know he is already planning on killing me. But as long as I the other guy is around and convinced of my feelings for him, I am safe. Then he goes on about his latest discovery and shows his friend a jar with powdered dry plants that are highly poisonous and how they can make use of it. I get the feeling they actually are serial killers and my friend wasn't their first. I also suspect he is openly talking about the poison while he looks at me sarcastically as a form of intimidation. He will try to poison me. Since I live with roommates, they are also indanger. So I just wanna go home and warn my roomates not to eat anything that is not sealed and not to take their hands to their mouths before washing them. I also think of my cats and ways to protect them from also being accidentaly poisoned if he sneaks into the house with the poison.
    6. Cafeteria, Roommate Accusations

In a cafeteria. Talk to roommate about political issues. Roommate accuses me of being an anarchist.
    7. Recurring Lucid Anxiety Dreams

by , 11-09-2014 at 02:56 PM (Lucid Time!)
I recall being in a cycle last night. With every sleep cycle I had a cookie-cutter anxiety dream, and in all of them I became partially lucid and changed the dream scenario in order to stop the dream from creating any stress.

I recall one having to do with me having to write an essay. I manifested one in my hand before slipping back into nonlucidity.

Another had to do with me being late for a class. While lucid I gave myself two extra hours.

Yet another had to do with a violent storm fast-approaching my house.
      I think I redirected it.

There was one having to do with D. He was for some reason sleeping on an air mattress in the middle of our room. My parents were involved somehow, and no lucidity in this one.

The final dream was blurry. I remember I was trying to get these long metal rods out from under my bed. I know I became lucid here, but I can't remember what the heck was going on.

Not counting any of these as lucids though because recall was so bad.

      In bed: 1:20 AM - 7:42 AM

      #13. I. 7:30 AM
My roommate and I are about to have to go to some sort of event or class. We decide to be fools going there, running across campus there doing crazy things. I head out first, and so am not sure where he is. I start heading there assuming he is on the way. Eventually, I hear him singing on the other side of the buildings to my right on another path, as he is walking towards the same building farther ahead of us. Eventually, he sees me running and runs too. There are a bunch of people out in front of the building we are going into. I see FN, a high school friend, who asks me how my club is, not necessarily realizing that she is asking about the club which she left earlier in the year which makes this awkward. Upstairs, we enter some classroom with a bunch of others where we take part in some activity in different groups.
    9. Attic, Snake

      by , 11-20-2013 at 08:23 PM
      Nov. 19:

Dreamed I was sharing an attic bedroom with a roommate, but there wasn't enough space for both of our beds. She'd already set hers up, and I was trying to explain that there wasn't enough space and I didn't have anywhere to sleep, but she just told me that was my own problem.

Dreamed I had a pet ball python but forgot to get it a heat rock or food. It was living in a tupperware bin, and I fed it hot dogs. Mom had the car, and wouldn't let me use it to drive to Petsmart, but she wouldn't take me either. I was worried that my snake was going to die. Mom said that, instead, she was driving to a different city to return a keyboard she'd bought (because it sucked). I'd bought the same model and asked if I could go with to return mine as well. She still refused to stop at Petsmart.

      Nov 20:
I can't recall my dreams. I have a vague impression that they involved cars.

    10. Flying, Walrus Creature WILD with Waking Body Complications

by , 02-20-2013 at 02:45 AM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
Auditory hallucinations draw me into this WILD.

I hear voices to my right. It sounds like my old roommate Hugh. There's another unfamiliar voice. I guess that Hugh is giving this other man a job interview, something about accounting. Then I hear voices to my left. I conjure the feeling that I am in my bedroom in the Daisetta house. The voices outside are talking about... Led Zepplin? I dunno. I focus on the voices and they draw me into the dream.

Bam! I'm outside in a bright and vivid summer day. I'm in a suburban backyard. The grass is a brilliant shade of green beneath my feet. The house is somewhat like Daisetta. Around the yard are trees and power lines. There are three people around me. I intuit they were the voices outside. They are two boys and a girl. They look high school age and are dressed in gym clothes with blue shirts and white cotton shorts. I look down and see I am wearing the same thing. They are looking at me like I'm their teacher. But I'm not really interested in them. I had a plan in mind but this environment doesn't suit it. So I decide to just have some fun.

I look up. Time to fly. I now become aware of a few flying objects. They look like flying cars. I jump and zoom up to the nearest one. It seems to be an unmanned drone, about the size of large trash can. It has a Star Wars Tatooine look to it; futuristic but at the same time rusted and worn. I grab it and spin and throw it up toward another drone and the two crash and fall. Ha!

Then I am distracted by an unpleasant feeling in my throat, like a dry heave. I snap back to my waking body. At least I think this portion was waking, but I might have been still dreaming. I feel the urge to cough. I swallow and move my neck slightly and I feel okay. I DEILD back into the dream.

I fly up higher and look down to get a sense of the landscape. I'm hovering over a wide dry riverbed that is overgrown with moss and small bushes. On either side of the riverbed there's suburban homes. This reminds me of the creek behind the Redmond house. Down in the riverbed I see a large creature. About the size of a walrus but more like a beached whale in appearance. It is very blubberly. I zoom down and try to lift it. It is heavy but I manage to get it over my head. I throw it up into the air and hovers for a bit, then slowly and gently falls back to the ground. I then take a closer look, trying to figure out what exactly this creature is.

I snap back to my waking body again. I'm either still dreaming or in some deep hypnopompic state. I hear voices to my right, as I had in the earlier hypnogogia. It's Hugh again. I intuit that he is talking on the phone to his boss about the job interview candidate. He says, "He had the three wisdoms but didn't know his mathematical formulas. That's just memorization though. He's a bright candidate." I'm listening to this while remaining still, hoping to DEILD again. He ends the phone call and I hear footsteps toward my bedroom room, which is to the right, like my current apartment. I hear the door open and Hugh says "Are you there?" I feel the weight on my bed shift and a foot near my head. I think, maybe Hugh has something urgent so I should wake up.

I snap out of hypnopompia and realize I don't live with a roommate anymore. D'oh.

      Hooch (FRAG)

I dreamed that me and my roomie and a couple of others were in my room (not really my room but it was in my dream). Security came in and told us that they knew that we were making hooch and that whoever gave it to them would have immunity. My roomie got it for them and I got in a lot of trouble.
    12. Bad Roommate

      by , 11-13-2011 at 09:22 PM
      ---

I wake up to find my roommate and his girlfriend in the living room of our house watching a television show and making food. The house is much messier than I left it that night. I look around and assess the damage. My roommate walks outside and downstairs. I hear the clattering of men at work in our back yard. I look out and the place is a mess, but it's always been messy.

His girlfriend looks at my guiltily and I scowl at her. She asks if there is something on my mind. I hesitate for a moment, then small my hands down on the tabletop and begin to vent. "Did you see how nice this place was when you came in? I hate making a big deal about it, but I can't just not say anything. Couldn't you have at least brought your plates to the sink?"

My roommate walks in. They both stand next to each other and look at each other. His girlfriend says "Well, it looks like you made a little mess of this organ.." To I respond very defensively "We stuffed that towel in there so the cat wouldn't crawl in there." The strangest part about this dream was the consistency of the events. Even the dirty plates were in the same place. The only discrepancy is the timeline in which it all occurred. I walked in to the same messy house and then cleaned. Hope this isn't a pre-cognitive dream!

    13. Dream night of 7.13.11

      by , 07-14-2011 at 08:52 PM
Me and my roommates were having interviews to rent out an extra room we have. One of the interviewees was a petite brunet girl who was SUPER annoying and kept picking up my guitar without asking and trying to play it. One of my roommates was all for letting her live with us and I kept expressing my opinion and how I did not want her to live with us. I got really frustrated and decided to go for a walk, so stepping outside my door I am suddenly in Japan. I am at some sort of resort for tourists, complete with luxury pool and synchronized dancing Japanese girls for entertainment. They were dancing in a room surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. I was disgusted with the display because the tourists that were gawking at the girls were a bunch of "Bro" types you see in the US. They were crowding the pool and taunting the dancers thinking they were god's gift to man. While I was there I had actually run into one of the dancers and for some reason we kind of stuck together. Next thing I know one of the Bros pushed me in the pool and I had cut the top of my foot on something in the water. It was bleeding pretty bad but didn't hurt. I was really pissed off at the guys and decided to grab the throat of one of the boys and in a kind of "demon" voice shouted at him "What the fuck do you think you are doing?!" and I believe my eyes were glowing. The girl who was with me had helped me out of the pool. Because she was helping me out she had missed her que to be on stage and dance. She was upset because she takes her dancing more as an art rather than a job to entertain womanizing bros. I felt really bad and offered to take her home. Once we got to her house she allowed me inside to clean up my foot. Her father was not happy that she had brought someone home with her and I for some reason couldn't find the bathroom in her house...

IRL: I woke up due to my roommates' cat meowing at me for food.
    14. 1/1 Wed: Flying and Phone Messages

by , 05-19-2011 at 01:54 PM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
      Flying and Phone Messages
      Method DILD (absurdity, false awakenings)
      Lucidity B
      Vividness B
      Control B
Earliest recall is a false awakening. The buzzing vibration of my phone wakes me up. I listen to the buzzing, waiting for the alarm music to start but it doesn't. Instead the message beep sounds. So I roll over and look. Yup, the red message light is blinking. I grab the phone and look at the message. It's a text from my roommate. It says something like:

      some whiskey here
      coming in soon?

I struggle to understand what that means. I start to think I might be dreaming. I look around my room. Yes, it looks like my room in very dim morning light. But wait, then someone walks into my room. It's not my roommate and he would have knocked first. This person is a man in a white dress shirt, black tie, and black slacks. He is short and skinny.
Who is that? I must be dreaming.

My lucidity isn't very strong. I still doubt I am dreaming so I feel the urge to prove it. So I jump out the window. I phase right through the blinds and glass. Outside, I start to fall in a gradual arc, like I'm magically slowing my fall by hovering. OK, I'm convinced that I'm dreaming. I look down and allow myself to fall. It's night. Below me is the city street and I see the flashing lights of police cars. I dive headfirst all the way down to the pavement. I don't feel anything when I hit the ground. I can still see for a few moments after. I see what looks like a smashed melon next to me with juice splattered around it. Then I close my eyes.

False awakening. Once again, I hear my phone buzz and see the red blinking light. I reach and grab but don't yet look at it. I look around the room to determine if I am dreaming. First I notice some strange decorative panels on my door. Then I notice the window blinds are oriented wrong and the window itself is wider than normal. I am definitely still dreaming. I jump out the window again. This time I fly up over the city rooftops, still holding my phone.

It's mostly dark, almost morning. I fly around a bit and land on a rooftop. Near me, I overhear two people talking. It sounds like a young girl and a guy. They are talking something about a hotel and phone sex hotline. I feel awkward eavesdropping on that conversation. I look at my phone and open the message. The phone's display is strange and it's hard to read the message. It's a long URL that only partially fits on the screen. I try to scroll left and right to see it but my phone is not cooperating. I remember the link contained the words "yOur" and "/Jennifer/". Not sure what any of that is supposed to mean.

I decide to forget about the phone and do something else. I fly around the city a bit. The sun is starting to rise and the sky is turning orange. It's pretty. I land on the street and walk into a restaurant. In the dream I seem to think this is a familiar place, but in retrospect it's not. Anyway, I walk in and it's a nice restaurant and bar. It's mostly empty, like the restaurant has just opened and it's just the staff hanging out. Around the bar are 3 people. One is a guy who seems to be a waiter and the other two are women. One is standing -- she seems to be the bartender. The other is sitting -- maybe a customer. They both have red hair and I find this attractive. I sit and talk to the bartender, not paying much attention to the other woman or the guy. After not so much talking, the bartender takes off her clothes and gives me a lap dance. At some point, as I'm trying to take the situation further, I close my eyes.

False awakening. Yet again my phone buzzes and blinks. I pick it up again and look around the room for dreamsigns. I see the same dreamsign of my window blinds. Yes, still dreaming. I jump out the window again and fly up to a rooftop.

On the roof, there is a small garden with a flowerbed and about a dozen pigeons. I walk toward the birds, expecting them to fly away all at once. I hear a woman's voice say "Oh those birds are like insects. They will get you fucked up." Wait, is she talking about drugs? Whatever, I ignore it. Sure enough, the birds all fly off and I stand in the middle of the flowers. I look at my phone and open the message. This time it's an image. The image is a picture of a flower bed, just like the one I am standing in. Except the picture is a painting, like watercolor perhaps. I think that's neat. Then my muscle's freeze and I can't move. Oh. Bummer. I close my eyes.

Real awakening. My phone is not buzzing, but I look at it anyway. And this time the window blinds are the right way. I'm awake.

Chuck's Bad Day and Flirting with Bi-Sexual Winona Ryder
I'm living in a house with a bunch of people. It feels like a frat house. I sleep in a downstairs room shared with two other people. I wake up early and talk to the three roommates. One is Chuck and he says he had a bad day yesterday. Another is Ken Marino and he pulls me aside to tell me he's going to bake a cake. We walk to the living room where there is a whiteboard with math equations on it. Chuck erases part of the board and starts writing more math equations while describing his bad day. I ask something like "Did you really have a bad day? Or did you have an average day that fell short of your expectations?" This suggestion upsets Chuck and he storms off back to the bedroom.

It's still early morning. Other people are starting to wake up in the house. There is an open staircase visible in the living room, like the SAV house, and I sense that people are emerging from the bedrooms upstairs and moving to the kitchen or leaving the house. I walk back to my bedroom to find Chuck. Chuck is at the desk with a laptop and his cell phone. I lay on the bed. He starts talking again, but I don't recall about what. I am looking at the laptop. There's a computer program running that solves chess puzzles. There is an animated chessboard as the program tries different move sequences. When the program solves the puzzle, it sends a text message and starts a new one. Chuck gets up leaves the room. He leaves his phone. A moment later, the laptop finishes another puzzle and Chuck's phone buzzes, showing he got a text message.

So I'm alone for a moment in the bedroom. Once again I remark that it's early morning by the hint of sunlight from the window. A new person walks in and tells me that one of our housemate's boyfriend stayed overnight. I recognize the housemate as Patrick's sister. Then a few more people enter the room including Patrick's sister, a guy (who I assume to be the boyfriend), and a girl with short black hair who looks like Winona Ryder.

Winona flops on the bed next to me and starts talking to me in a very friendly way. It's a bit awkward for me because I don't know this person and all the other people in the room are watching. Winona says she's leaving soon with everyone to go to campus. She has a long day ahead of her. She's a college student and she studies at Disneyland. At one point, she changes position on the bed so that she's laying across my body. Then she asks if I want to hang out later that day. I say sure. She says not here in LA, but down at Disney. Again, I say sure. Then she smiles, happy that we made a date and then she leaves.

So I'm feeling pretty proud of myself but there are still those few people left in the room who have just been watching all time. They seem horrified. I ask what's wrong. Patrick's sister leaves the room, upset. Then Hugh explains that Winona is Patrick's sister's girlfriend that they were talking about earlier. Girlfriend? I thought they said boyfriend. And I didn't know she was a lesbian. Then I ask Hugh who she is because she looks like a famous actress (at this point in the dream, I hadn't yet remembered Winona Ryder's name, just recognized the face). He says he doesn't know her name either. He says to name a movie that she was in. "Reality Bites." He's never seen it. "How could have never seen Reality Bites?" Sorry, name another. I can't think of another. I say, "Just pull out your phone, google Reality Bites, and read the first name that comes up." He suggests a few other names, but I know none of them are right.

Wow, that was long. It felt like at least 30 minutes of real time. After a woke up, I remembered the name Winona Ryder. And I just now remembered that Patrick's sister's name is Jennifer.
