      Semi-lucidity! Trying shapeshifting.
In the beginning there was some sort of scary things, it was like a catalog of drugs that make your dreams insane with illustrations of what you could see, most notably a drug that is some sort of mineral which looks like some really demonic face with a mouth stretched down for meters, an unhealthy reddish skin and dead white eyes, and it made you see faces like that in your dream. Then it was somewhat about Subnautica. But then I was at home and suddenly I had a small amount of heightened awareness that it might be a dream. Then there was a sort of puppet but it was alive and I brought it into a room and closed the door to protect us from something. We went outside again and there were intimidating people and it was also like I read something bad about them. They said something I don't remember. I went past them and at the window were also some intimidating people I couldn't get past. I went back to the room.

I don't remember the part right before it, but I knew I was dreaming and did multiple reality checks and they all told me I was in a dream, so, now aware, I thought of something to do. The dream was very unclear and I totally forgot about stabilizing, but didn't even notice, so this was at most semi-lucid. I went to a mirror and tried transforming into a dragon. I didn't manage to do it at all since I hadn't at all had a visualization of the dragon I'd want to transform in. I tried doing it by looking to the mirror and back once I had an idea of what I wanted. As it didn't work after multiple attempts I just tried a tail at first, and that worked... somewhat. I didn't really take the right idea at all from the beginning anyway. The tail was there, but it was numb and had no feeling. And it was green, and I wanted it blue, so I just looked away and back again, and there it was blue. Then I just sort of gave up. I went away to see if I could manage to breathe fire at the people I couldn't get past, but I just forgot about it and tried to do something else. At some point I lost lucidity somewhat and slightly fell back into the plot about these demonic faces. Then I got excited over something and I woke up quite a lot. I then remembered the shapeshifting tutorial, and I wanted to do it. I remembered dream chaining, laid completely still, aaaaanddd... my parents managed to wake me up on accident.

Glad to know my practice is working. Not sure what to improve for next time, though. Maybe I should just continue as usual with my practice.

    2. I Had My Second Lucid!!

      by , 07-26-2016 at 03:19 PM
Woohoo! I finally had another lucid dream! I'm so happy, I can barely sit still to type this!

      Dream 1:

I was sitting down on a rug in my old kindergarten classroom, talking to a boy I used to go to elementary school with, named Rhys. I don't recall what were were talking about, besides school and childhood. A while into our conversation, I noticed he looked sad, so I asked him, "Rhys, you look sad. What's wrong?" He looked at me, with the saddest look I have ever seen on his face, and replied, "You're dreaming." This shocked me quite a bit, and as soon as he said this, my dream began slipping away.
After that, I stood up, telling my dream self over and over, "You're dreaming. You're dreaming". I was desperately trying to stay calm and in the dream. Sadly, seconds later I had woken up. It hadn't even sharpened into the clarity or reality that my first lucid had before I was opening my eyes to a darkened ceiling.

Has anyone else ever had a DC tell them they're dreaming? I found it really odd, but exciting.

      Dream 2:

I dreamt that my mom introduced me to a young man from Britan, who was in his twenties or thirties, and we were watching some children and young adults, including my younger siblings, dive into the ocean at night from a cliff. I warned them to be careful, but he didn't seem that worried. He encouraged my brother to jump. He said his name was Thomas. It was dark and pouring rain.
Later, we were in my backyard, which looked strange and not quite like my backyard, and he was playing with a round red object he'd found on a tree. He re-introduced himself as Josh. He accidentally dropped the small red sphere, however, and it rolled into a large hole that went under my concrete porch. As soon as this happened, tree roots began to push up through the concrete. My godmother warned us to get out and stay away. We tried to use rakes and tools to pull the seed back out from underneath the porch, but to no avail.
Amidst this chaos, an annoying talking Tomato Hornworm Caterpillar named Harvey came over, and apparently we were well aquatinted. He and I had agreed that he would be gentle with my tomato plants and be able to eat all the basil he wanted without killing the plant. He asked us what was going on, and when I explained, busy trying to pry out the seed, he laughed and crawled off, saying he was going to eat every last tomato plant in my garden.
Somehow we either got the tree under control, or left it to destroy my porch. I'm not sure which. We got into Thomas/Josh's car and drove back to a large store that sold clothing and other things, like water bottles and sports gear. My siblings and my aunt and uncle were there, and we had fun looking around.
I wondered if Thomas/Josh could have been a relative of mine on my dad's side, but I didn't think any of my relatives still lived in Britain, so I didn't ask. He and my brother were trying to find a nice souvenir he could take home with him.

      Dream 3:

I dreamt that three people I know from school, Shawnee, Julie, another whom I cannot remember, and I, went to the movie theater. We had to climb over a lot of people to get to our seats, and when we got there, I was shocked to find that they had all turned into my friend Isabella's little cousins.

Dream number two didn’t exactly happen, but I’m writing down the experience anyways. In summary, I’m pretty much scared when I shouldn’t be lol. I put on some LD Audio before I went to bed (Binaural Beats & Beach Ambience). Then, I put my iPod away and tried to WILD. It worked.
I forgot I was WILD-ing for a bit and started to dream “normally”. I was in the back of my Chemistry classroom, and my teacher was reading off dorms for a class trip (this makes sense; I’m going on a field trip later in the year but with a different class). Then I heard a creepy woman’s voice list the types of rooms. Two of them were “Panic Room” and “Lucid Room”. There were about five others but I don’t remember the rest. Panic room was first on the list, so she read the description: “Panic Room. This room will make you want to skin yourself alive.” I then got deep chills from fear/creepiness/whatever. Those chills turned into the intense shaking that someone gets from sleep paralysis (and I realized that). I tried to imagine myself falling into my dream from the sky, since the shaking gave off a “sound” like rushing air. I then saw a creepy skeleton/lady face (but faint, similar to the ghost images you see in front of your eyelids). I then decided not to enter the dream, but instead inhale quickly a couple times and wake up.
This did freak me out quite a bit, but I don’t think it is that bad. I did get a few things out of this while having the comfort that dreams are just dreams and I’m always safe, no matter how vivid a LD is.
      1) I can induce an LD without the aid of audio.
      2) I can enter sleep paralysis.
      3) I’m able to WILD without the wake-back-to-bed method.
I don’t think my “nightmare” was a negative thing, but rather a way for my body to induce sleep paralysis. The fact that a “lucid” room was mentioned set off a signal for me, and the “panic” was only there to transition into sleep paralysis in a way that made sense to my half-asleep body. The face was only an image my mind reflected from being afraid. It’s rather interesting, really!
    4. 2nd Lucid ever! woop woop

Was being bombarded by thousands of little black birds. I was at my house's backyard hiding under a table. Then after the fourth round of diving I ran for my house. The bird's instantly left and I saw my mom and told her to check out the dogs in the backyard. I told her that Bella (one of my dogs) was going to do a cool jumping trick. Bella jumped, but remained suspended in the air. At that point I said, no way is this a dream? So I nose-pinched and sure enough it was!
      "Mom, I'm dreaming!"
      "Good for you!"
I went outside and started losing lucidity, but with rubbing my hands it took me about 30 seconds to stabilize.
My backyard was the exact same as it is currently. I was amazed. However, my neighbors places were completely different. One neighbor's house was actually a sheer drop down to the ocean when a gigantic submarine lay on shore and buried under part of the cliff.
After looking around I decided to use some powers. I tried too hard at first, scrunching the muscles in my hand, but then after trying more softly, I could manipulate whatever I wanted.
I decided not to summon anyone or fly because now that I was lucid, I wanted to teach myself how to make myself lucid dream more often and then start doing tons of fun stuff.
However, I woke up, but in my living room at home that I was currently many many miles away from. False awakening, but I didn't catch it... Now I know to reality check whenever and wherever I wake up.
    5. Second lucid dream

      by , 08-22-2012 at 03:19 AM
In this dream I realized I was dreaming by questioning the cobweb on my pillow (I had just 'woken up' in the dream), and strange bugs that seemed to make their home on my fingernails . I almost did the nose reality check (holding your nose closed and seeing if you can still breathe) but then realized that there was no way in hell I'm putting those bugs up to my face. I walked out of my room, completely forgot about the bugs, and performed the reality check, which resulted in lucidity.
There was a shock in the dream world, similar to an earthquake, along with a purple energy wave. I was the epicenter of both of these. I stumbled from the earthquake and found myself down the hallway near my brother's room. He was sitting up in bed with an awestruck expression on his face. I assumed he somehow knew I just became lucid. I excitedly told him this is a dream, and left before I could see his reaction.
I remembered that I wanted to teleport, so I thought of a random location, closed my eyes, and attempted to teleport. It didn't work, so I tried spinning, which also failed. Then, I rubbed my hands together to make sure the dream wouldn't destabilize. I walked down the hall into the entryway. I saw my dad, and thought that it couldn't hurt to ask him if he knew how to teleport. I asked him, but was only given the response that could have easily been from somebody on an intense acid trip. He then pointed to the front door, which gave me the idea to teleport by walking through the door to where I want to go. On the way to the door, my dad tripped me, which didn't hurt, but made me laugh because in real life, he is an intelligent, normal person. I walked through the door, and forgot that I was supposed to use it to teleport. This is the second time in this dream that I walked through a doorway, and forgot something random.
I ended up walking through the front door into the backyard. Since I was lucid, you would think I would have noticed something, but I didn't. I walked past my mom, who was worrying about the hornet nest in the backyard. Immediately after that, I felt something crawl on my foot. Not wanting to turn this into a bad experience, I forced myself to think about teleporting. I kneeled down and started to open a portal on the ground for me to jump into, but just as I was opening it, I woke up..

    6. My Second Lucid Dream! It's been a long time and it's still amazing...

      by , 05-02-2011 at 06:15 PM
A LOT of time ago I posted my first lucid dream in this very website:

      http://www.dreamviews.com/f13/my-fir...38/#post918173

An since then I have been taking notes of my dreams, trying lucid techniques and reality checks, practicing and trying... but with no success. The beauty of the lucid dream would not come back. The incredible feeling of knowing that the alternate reality you are experiencing is a creation within your own mind, and knowing that you can have control of everything in that reality... that would not come back. And during this time I had a lot of great dreams but no control in any of them.

      Until yesterday.

I was dreaming about my family and me living in a nice wooden house with strange green carpeting all over the floor. In this dream, the family car had just been stolen because of me forgetting the keys inside it and leaving the door open. I didn't like that. I just couldn't accept it. And that was enough. Strangely, all I needed to return to the lucid dream world again was not agreeing with the reality that was presented to me at that time.

And that was it. I was in the lucid dream world again. I was amazed to have it in front of me again: a different reality within my mind, a new world waiting to be discovered. It's difficult to describe how magnificent it all was, despite the fact that I was only seeing my dream room in that wooden house.

I got out of the room. My sister was there. She told me about the stolen car and started complaining. So, the first thing I did in that lucid was changing the reality I didn't like. So I told my sister: "The car was NOT stolen." With these words, she stopped talking and leaved. I couldn't believe it. It worked. My words came true the moment I said them.

I went to another zone of the house. It was a living room with a big screen TV. All my family was there, happily watching TV. Amazed as I was, I just stared at them, enjoying how real they were. I started laughing nervously a little, thinking about the possibility of telling them that it was all a dream. But I just couldn't do it. This alternate reality just felt so real I felt it wasn't fair to destroy it for my dream family. So I didn't say a word but instead I noticed a big window in this living room that let me see outside.

A beautiful park was outside my dream house: a lot of trees, extremely green grass, and everything looked like it just stopped raining. I thought about heading to the door to go into the park, but then I thought: "why don't I just pass through the glass? It's a dream after all " I touched the glass of the closed window with the tips of my fingers. Just like everything else, it felt as real as windows and glasses of the waking world.

But I just had to push a little to start crossing through the glass just if like it was a layer of thin ice. Amazing. There was just a problem: I started to think about this too "logically": "the park I am seeing is too far away and it's BELOW me because I am in a second floor. how will I reach the street?". As if reality itself tried to help me, the park started to distort as if it was trying to reach my extended arms. I gave up. I backed off and returned to the living room.

My family was still there. They didn't notice anything. Just two seconds later I woke up.

So, This lucid may have lasted just a few minutes, but it is still one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. Thanks for reading my dream. And remember: never stop trying to have a lucid dream. You will make it, and it is all worth it.
