      Regular Dream - Semi-lucid Dream - Lucid Dream - Notes

      I am playing Skyrim VR, starting at the beginning. Ralof is across from me, Ulfric is to my right, Lokir is across from Ulfric. Lokir is being extremely rude. He won’t shut and two out of every three words is an expletive. He is directing his torrent of obscenity at Ulfric, who is completely ignoring him. Ralof tries to tell Lokir not to talk to the rightful high king of Skyrim like that, but gives up. Lokir sees me staring at him and takes a break from Ulfric to curse at me. I ask if he talks to his mother with that filthy mouth. He gives me one final, “Fuck you!” before going back to cursing at Ulfric.

      We arrive in Helgen and stop. I see the Imperial Captain and say to no one in particular that I really wish I could fus her ass. I look at Ulfric. He could fus her. I say I’ll get that gag off of him if he’ll fus the Captain. He looks at me strangely. Did he hear me? But other characters can’t hear what I say, they only hear the dialog choices I make… But then Lokir had seemed to hear me, too… wtf? Did I add a mod that includes voice recognition and explicit language?

      Ulfric and Ralof are on the list, then Lokir insists he’s not a (expletives) Stormcloak and he hates that (expletives) traitor Ulfric. The Captain doesn’t believe him so he then turns his expletives on her, calling her a list of rude names I won’t repeat even though I agree with them. He then makes a run for it and is shot in the back by an archer. Hadvar says my name isn’t on the list, but the Captain says I should be killed anyway. Lokir used every expletive in the book, so I settle with telling the Captain to go fus herself. I would love to be able to fus her right off of a cliff.

      Alduin swoops over the town, bathing everything in fire. I follow Ralof into the closest tower. Ralof and Ulfric and a few other Stormcloaks come out the hole in the wall, though after a blast of fire from Alduin the other Stormcloaks are either killed or separated leaving Ralof, Ulfric, and me. Hadvar and the Captain attack Ulfric specifically, saying he’s not getting away. I get to see the Captain get fus’d after all. Ulfric fus’s her right as Alduin makes another pass, so she gets fus’d and then toasted! I exclaim, “That was AWESOME!” Ulfric looks at me like he thinks I’m insane. He can hear me! I’d better watch what I say or everyone in Skyrim will think I’m a total psycho.

      The rest of the opening quest goes pretty normal except for Ulfric is with Ralof and me. Then we are out and Ulfric wants to know if I know what fus means. “Of course I do, it means force. Ro means balance, dah means push. Now if I can just kill a few dragons I can do my own fus’ing…” Alduin flies overhead. “But not that one… I’m not ready for that one yet.” So the sooner I head off the Whiterun the sooner I will get the first word! I head down the path then wake up.

      Regular Dream - Semi-lucid Dream - Lucid Dream - Notes

      I am playing Skyrim VR. I am in Windhelm. I see one of my least favorite people, Rolff, following a Dunmer and saying rude things. The Dunmer is Suvaris, she’s just ignoring him. I walk over and get his attention. I tell him stop harassing people. He calls me an elf lover and says people like me are as bad as they are. I tell him he is the scum that even bottom feeders won’t touch and he is good only for fus’ing practice. Suvaris turns around and starts to say Rolff isn’t worth getting in trouble over, but before she finishes her sentence I fus Rolff. FUS-RO-DAH! Rolff flies through the air and slams into the stone wall of Candlehearth Hall then falls to the ground in a heap. He isn’t moving. Suvaris asks if I killed him. I say no, it was just a fus. But I’m unsure… did the idiot go and die? I try to remember when I last saved, wondering if I should just leave him dead. Skyrim would be slightly better without him. But I see him moving when I go over to him. He groans and picks himself up. He says I’m crazy and was trying to kill him. I say if I wanted to kill him he would be dead, but if he stops being an asshole I won’t bother him. He says fine, he’ll leave the gray-skins… er… elves alone if I promise not to kill him. Before I can answer he disappears into Candlehearth Hall.

      I’m not sure what I was in the middle of doing before I saw Rolff being an asshole. Why am I in Windhelm? I go into the Palace of the Kings. Did I need to talk to someone in here? I see Galmar and Rolff in the back of the room, apparently Rolff snuck out the back door of Candlehearth Hall. From what I hear Galmar isn’t being too sympathetic with Rolff. He says he told Rolff if he kept up his behavior eventually he would get his ass kicked. Rolff sees me and starts insisting I’m there to finish the job. Galmar asks if I’m trying to kill his brother. I say no, if I was trying to kill Rolff he would already be dead. It was only a fus for Rolff being an ass. The fus is done, so unless I see him being an ass again… The doors open and a guard runs in looking panicked. He says they’re here, they’re at the gates! Without even thinking about it I ask who, but he ignores me. Galmar goes over to the guard, the dispute between Rolff and me clearly pushed aside. The guard goes to Galmar and tells him the Thalmor are here, and they have the black crystal. Black crystal? That doesn’t sound good… so I head out to see.

      Note: I wake up here, but I use a DEILD technique I read about and somehow manage to get back into the dream…

      I am in Windhelm again, now fully lucid. I remember there are Thalmor at the main gate. I make my way through Windhelm, which seems considerably larger than it is in the Skyrim video game. I come to the main gate, which is closed and barred. There are guards who say no one enters or leaves, the city is under siege so they can’t open the gates. I say I don’t need gates. I jump up to the top of the wall, ignoring the stunned looks of the guards. I look out and I see an army of weird spectral black things. They look sort of like Thalmor, but all in black. I see one normal looking Thalmor near the back, there is a black orb floating over her head like a miniature black sun. The scene is quite disturbing. How many are there? Hundreds? A thousand? I don’t care, this is a dream and they can’t touch me. And even if they can, the worst that can happen is I wake up! And I have a plan that’s going to be awesome!

      I jump down off of the wall and come face to face with a Thalmor. There actually are a few normal looking Thalmor in the group, the others all look like some form of solid shadow. I tell the Thalmor I am there to negotiate with their leader, and he doesn’t question it… he takes me through the ranks of shadow Thalmor to a woman I recognize is Elenwen. She says obviously there will be no negotiations, just a complete surrender or we will all be annihilated. I say I was about to say the same thing, but she and her shadow puppets will be the ones annihilated. She laughs at me and asks if I think the Stormcloaks stand a chance against her army. I say I never said anything about any Stormcloaks, it will just take me. So am I to assume she is refusing? Then kiss the army goodbye. She looks at me and says she can see I really believe I can do it, well no matter. I tell Elenwen I have one final thing to say, she says I had better say it fast then.

      I am thinking back to an anime I watched called Slayers. There was a spell used in it called Dragon Slave, but Dragonslave uses dark energy and that will surely do no good against shadow warriors. For a bit I think I will be unable to remember the spell, but then I do remember, and I modify it as I say the words to make it use the power of the light instead of dark. “Sunlight beyond twilight, pure light is the power that flows. Buried in the stream of time is where your power grows…” The shadow Thalmor are attacking with black fire, it doesn’t burn but it seems to suck my energy out. I continue my spell, gathering my energy around me… “… In thy great name, I pledge myself to conquer, all the foes who stand, before the mighty gift bestowed in my unworthy hand. Let the fools who stand before me be destroyed, by the power you and I possess… Dragon Slave!” The resultant explosion is a blinding light that makes it impossible for me to see what is happening, but when it fades all that I see around me is a handful of dazed looking Thalmor and Elenwen staring in stunned silence. The black orb hovering above shatters like glass and turns to dust that blows away. I hope any dark energy in it was fully neutralized…

      Elenwen is staring in stunned silence, I feel like I might pass out, which would most likely lead to me waking up. I guess it’s the dark energy draining my energy then the energy focused into the Dragon Slave. But I can’t look weak in front of these remaining Thalmor. I go with a video game power, I change my right arm into a sword like Alex Mercer on Prototype. I turn to the remaining Thalmor, preparing to fight with my Alex Mercer blade. They’ve had enough, however, and they take off. Elenwen is already gone, that sucks… I’d really like to fus her off of a cliff. I’m too tired to chase. Some Stormcloaks come out of the gates and chase after the Thalmor. Galmar comes out and pauses briefly, then seems convinced I’m fine and continues. So I’m alone? No one to see if I pass out. I’m about to pass out when I see I’m not alone. More Stormcloaks? I see Ulfric… I won’t pass out where anyone can see. The group that followed the Thalmor return, saying Elenwen and the Thalmor disappeared through a portal. Ulfric is staring at me as if I have grown a second head. Has he never seen a Dragon Slave? Oh, right… probably not. So I will go somewhere I can pass out and wake up in peace. I am walking away like a drunk, I almost walk into twin Ulfrics. This time I really do fall over, right on Ulfric, he holds me up for the brief moment before I wake.

      Regular Dream - Semi-lucid Dream - Lucid Dream - Notes

      Note: When I have video game dreams they tend to be long and detailed, which is one thing I like about them. I also seem to be very slow to realize it's a dream and not a game, which is frustrating.

      I am playing Skyrim VR. I am starting a new game, I am riding in the back of the cart with Ralof across from me and Ulfric to my right, but I look to where I expect Lokir to be and instead of him there is a woman. The woman is glaring at Ulfric like she would really enjoy gouging his eyes out and feeding them to him. I am surprised to see the difference, I think there must be some random factor to the fourth person in the cart when starting a new game. She tells Ulfric she won’t kill him until he begs her to. Ulfric completely ignores her, not even looking at her. Ralof tells her to watch her mouth when speaking to Ulfric Stormcloak.

      The woman briefly glares at him, then she sees I’m staring at her. She turns her glare on me. I return her glare, giving my best effort at a Vegeta (Dragonball Z) glare. She says if I even think about getting in her way she’ll rip off my face and wipe her ass with it. This strikes me as funny and I start laughing. She looks confused. I ask what her name is, she says her name is Varlin, and I’d better not forget it. I tell her she wins, and as soon as I learn the three word fus, she has won herself a place on the top of my list of people to fus off of a cliff. She looks at me strangely again, she clearly does not know what a fus is. Ulfric, on the other hand, is now looking over at me, but he can’t say anything because he is gagged.

      Varlin returns her glare to Ulfric, who is still staring at me. I say that knowing my luck Alduin will eat Varlin, denying me my fus. And then Alduin will probably die from eating something that nasty. This earns another brief glare from Varlin and Ulfric’s eyes get wider. It sounds like he tries to say something, but then looks frustrated and growls, still staring at me. I want to know what he has to say so I stand up, and even though my hands are tied in front of me, I reach to take the gag off. A guard riding beside the cart gets closer and uses the blunt end of his spear to push me away from Ulfric, making me fall on the floor of the cart on my ass. He says if I try that again it won’t be the blunt end he strikes me with.

      We get to Helgen and everyone gets out of the cart. Varlin immediately takes action. She has somehow freed her hands. She moves lightning fast and snatches a sword from a guard, and before he can even look her way she has run it through his chest from behind. She says she came to kill Ulfric, but now she wants to kill me first. She seems to think that will be easy since I’m still tied. I really want to fus her. So I do. I let out a full three word fus, “FUS-RO-DAH!” right in her face. And it works! She is launched backwards into the stone wall that surrounds Helgen. I have surprised myself, I didn’t think I could do that yet! A glitch? Nice glitch!

      General Tullius arrives with Elenwen riding a horse close behind. Tullius asks what in Oblivion is going on, some people say Varlin killed a guard, more say Ulfric shouted at Varlin, and others say I shouted at Varlin. Tullius looks to where Varlin landed, but she is gone. He then looks at Ulfric, then at me. My cool down for shouting has finished, so I tell Tullius I have a message from Thorald Gray-Mane, and the message is, “Fus you.” He looks puzzled, then I fus him in the face. Now Tullius flies through the air and crashes into Elenwen, knocking her off of her horse. The two fall to the ground in a heap, they land in a pile of poop just dropped by Elenwen’s horse. I start laughing. This glitch is too fun!

      These changes don’t delay Alduin’s arrival. He swoops over the tower and breathes fire. People start running, my ability to shout is no longer important. Tullius gets up and starts organizing a defense, all unarmed and bound prisoners make a run for cover. I turn towards Alduin and let out a fus. It does little more than surprise him, and he replies with a blast of fire. Ulfric grabs me and pulls me towards cover, his hands are free and his gag is off. He says if that’s really the World Eater, Unrelenting Force will do nothing to him. I think Ralof is the one who is supposed to come back for me, not Ulfric, and I ask where Ralof is. Ralof is on my other side, he says he’s right there and all three of us go into the tower.

      Now things follow the normal path from Skyrim, notable differences being Ulfric says he has to make sure the other Stormcloaks get out safely, but Ralof will make sure I get out ok. And he wants to talk to me more, but that will have to wait. If we don’t see each other again here he will be in Windhelm. Ralof comes out the hole in the wall with me, at no time did I follow Hadvar or even see him. On the way through the tunnels under Helgen and out the back way I am completely fus-happy, these are people I’ve never gotten to fus before. The Imperial Captain who orders the player be executed even though their name isn’t on the list got fus’d repeatedly until dead. I follow Ralof to Riverwood and into his sister’s house where I collapse on a bed. That start was new, now to take off my VR headset… I’m not wearing one? Does that mean I’m dreaming? I never even get to RC before I wake.

      -1(L)-Did a couple brief WILDs. Twice failed at stabilizing. Making loud noises should not include shouting at first.
      -2-In this dream, I tried to use my Action Replay on the gamecube again. I put the disc in, and Melee started up. However, the AR stopped working and only booted up normal Melee.
      [New Scene]
      I thought about Oblivion. Suddenly, I was in Cyrodiil. This guy was playing. He was getting attacked, so he decided to run and jump off a cliff. He was aiming for the water at the bottom, but he undershot the jump, so he landed in the shallow water and lost most of his health.
      [New Scene]
      A wolf ate a poisoned rabbit. Something caused three wolves including that one to become self-conscious and intelligent. Something else caused the two healthy wolves to be able to mind-control a group of humans to save the bloody, poisoned wolf. Suddenly, the scene switched to Continuum, where Kierra was sitting on a couch when Dillon showed up and notified her about the wolf situation as well as something else. He was beginning the second one when Kierra said that he should stop acting like a ???. Suddenly, one of the wolves threw something at a little girl. Then, that thing became clay, and one of the wolves said something funny.
      Lucid Time: 30-60 seconds

      Spawn: Somewhere in Skyrim, leaning on a fence with Erandur.
      We were having fractions of visions of the future, where only one of us was going to get out alive from any of the giant maze dungeons. (The giant maze dungeons are super huge places that are extremely difficult to survive in, navigate, and exit. This included Aperture, and whatever was under Septimus Signus’ Outpost. I forgot the rest.) Someone was going to the outpost, and we had to follow. Once we got inside, I quickly realized that this was a bad mistake. After we walked down the first hallway to a circular door, and a window. Looking through the window, I saw APERTURE on the far wall. I thought that it would be suicide to go in there. However, the other two didn’t seem to care much, as they teleported in after we opened the huge door. After that, we looked around the room, completely ignoring the brightly-lit room beyond the glass in the back corner, opposite the door. We continued to explore. We walked through a lighter circular door. Shortly after, someone pressed a button that triggered the slow closing of the doors. We all rushed out and ran to the first door. Only I made it in time. I tried pressing ‘open’ on a small panel (with the other choice being ‘oil’), but it was being overrid with the other command. As Erandur and the other guy were going to become trapped in there, I decided to be trapped with them, rather than be outside, unable to do anything without taking loads of time to prepare first. So, the vault door was closed, and there was no way out. The only thing we could do was explore the facility. Walking back to the same place where the lighter door used to be was now a concrete wall with a doorway on the right. We walked through the doorway and ended up in 20th-century Aperture, with Cave Johnson as CEO. [Skip] [Switch to Cinematic View] Cave Johnson was in a room with 2 other guys holding clipboards. Cave was wearing a hazmat suit, ready to test some gel with a medal something in his hands.

    5. Not many dreams

      Work?

      I was in some sort of mall or warehouse. I saw employees working at a station. With them was Regan, a manager I used to work with. She was staring at me but not saying anything.

      Skyrim

      I was with Asuka in Whiterun. She said this is what my inner world looks like now. She kept collecting flowers and things. I asked why and she said it's for Alchemy to improve smithing. I said enchantments already make weapons stronger. She said Alchemy improves them even further. I remember wondering why she was taking such an interest in skyrim as most of the things I like she ignores.

    6. Arngeir and the House of Hrothgar (A weird Elder Scrolls dream)

      by , 06-27-2017 at 03:39 AM (Nonsense and Conundrums)
      I've been playing Skyrim a lot lately, so there's no doubt as to why this dream came about!

      ~~~~~~~~
      I'm in the beautiful realm of Skyrim, trekking along the path, happy as can be. Then, suddenly, the great Greybeard Arngeir approaches. I've never seen him out of his home in High Hrothgar, so this is quite the oddity! (Keep in mind I was not lucid in this dream.)
      Arngeir says he has something important to show me, something he's been waiting to show me for a long time. Confused, but curious, I follow him to the bottom of the mountain, then climb up the thousands of steps to Hrothgar and toward the Throat of the World.
      Once we get there, I'm expecting to see the Greybeards' monastery, but all there is is a little modest house. Confused, I ask Arngeir what this means. He says this is an illusion, but an important one. He continues on, saying all the Dragonborns have come from a similar place, and eventually had no family to their name. Then he told me about "my" family, where I came from, childhood memories I had forgotten, etc. I ended up crying, then woke up.
      Then I fell back asleep, thus came the next dream in this journal.
    7. 1/18/17 Layer 0 | Skyrim, Holographic Tech
      by , 01-18-2017 at 10:58 PM (Fantastical Adventures)
      -1-I was in a Skyrim dungeon with a spear-axe. I walked down a wide staircase and triggered a spike trap in front of me. I killed a waist-high enemy right after that. I walked down there, finding not much of interest, aside from the thing I don’t remember. I killed a second enemy that appeared behind me. Next, I climbed the stairs again and turned right to continue on. I saw some green, glowing, solid technology that was holographic in appearance. This was located in a modern office room (lights were off, and there was blue carpet everywhere. It was almost hidden behind thick vines. I was aware of the ability to change scenes using the tech, so I entered the door. But when I tried to close it, another identical enemy appeared behind it and shoved it open, forcing me to kill it. The dream ended.
      -2-A teen with a gun almost shot me and a group of people. Then, he sent out a signal that terminated wi-fi and network connections. Cops were on their way.
      [New Scene]
      I was really tired at my grandparents’ house.
    8. Spell's Summer Comp Night 4: Bamboo Pool
      by , 08-02-2016 at 01:13 PM (Lucid Time!)
      I remember I was at nondescript beach resort. I was there for some kind of convention for Skyrim there. I remember making a daedric sword out of styrofoam and delivering it to the convention (don't remember where the convention was taking place, but it was this huge building and seeing the inside it looked like a school science fair, except everything was Skyrim themed, obviously.) I was going back to my room when I recognized the dream sign of being at the beach.
      I went inside of one of the rooms and saw it was much bigger on the inside. There was a hot tub and a swimming pool. There was this rock formation in the swimming pool made out of brown rocks that had water flowing down into the pool from it. The walls of the room were all bamboo and wood. I think the bamboo was alive because there were branches with leaves on them that became the ceiling. Also the only light in the room seemed to be coming from the bottom of the pool.
      I knelt down by the side of the pool and felt the tiles for some stabilization. I then noticed that I could see my reflection in the water. I somehow got the idea to bring Manei into the dream using my reflection. I tried to focus on changing my reflection into her, and it worked. The reflection solidified and she came up from under the water. She looked a little funny as she retained a few of my dream-selfs facial features, but it was her all right.
      I remember the two of us stayed in the pool for awhile and we were talking for awhile (twas about something personal that I was meditating on yesterday, for offline DJ only...) I remember she was talking to me about the seven sins and desires, but I remember thinking to myself that I wasn't going to bother "taking that back with me" when I woke up.
      We tried to make a whirlpool in the hot tub by walking in circles and it worked. We tried going the other way and felt the current push us for a bit, but it stopped. There was some significance to the circular motion of the current we had created.
      I remember at some point I was asking her if she could touch the bottom of the pool, because I couldn't. I told her that usually she's taller than me and she said she could stand with her head completely out of the water. I remember looking underwater thinking of the dream goal to go underwater and look. (Forgetting that I was supposed to do it in a lake or ocean.) The pool was really boring, it just had a sloped bottom consistent with the surface. It got really deep in one end, I think there was a diving board.
      I tried to think of dream goals I had set for the competition. I remembered one of them was to build a sand castle. I could go back outside and do that very easily, but for whatever reason I didn't do it. I then thought of the water-bending goal. I tried various hand motions but it didn't seem to affect the water at all. I tried more of a mental focus just moving the water with my mind instead of hand motions. I think I might have stopped all the waves on the surface of the pool, but I didn't ever think that I had really succeeded.
      I remember asking her for help. She said she would show me waterbending and proceeded to splash me in the face the normal old fashioned way.
      "That's not waterbending."
      She proceeded to spit a mouthful of water at me.
      "That's not waterbending either." (Come on, this was one of the first things you ever taught me.)
      I began thinking that the dream might be too grounded, too much like reality, and I'm going to need to introduce a fantastical element before I can unlock fantastical powers. I backtracked on my own thought and figured that Manei is a fantastical element, not real in waking life, and she's been right here for like ten minutes. Why isn't it working...?
      A chubby guy with a big beard came in and said that I had won first place in the skyrim science fair whatever for my styrofoam Daedric sword.
      He asked if I really made it in 15 minutes. I had only been dreaming for about that long at this point, and through some error of logic I said yes. He said that the Daedric sword was a level 1 sword and the easiest to get in the game but I corrected him saying you can't get one until about level 40. I started talking with the guy about Skyrim but realized I was losing lucidity, so I stopped talking to the guy and he went away.
      I think I falsely remembered a dream goal to ask a dream character to tell me a joke and wanted to hurry up and do it before the dream ended. I asked Manei to tell a joke.
      "What planet is the butt of every joke?" She asked it with a big smile like she thought it was gonna be a really good one.
      "Uranus." (I made that joke up when I was like ten.)
      "I can't think of any more good jokes, my tummy keeps grumbling. I'm so hungry, I could eat a birthday cake as big as you! The next dream is Bartholomew, i'll eat it there!"
      I false awakened in the basement of my house. I saw a painting of a giant butterfly on the wall. I closed my eyes and opened them again and the butterfly was real and the painting was blank. It started flying toward me.
      I thought to myself "It's just a false awakening, don't be tricked by it." I was about to stabilize and keep a good thing going but I lost the dream.
      and woke up. It was 5:00am. I waited about half an hour for reentry but decided it better to just get out of bed.
      Thieves Guild
      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
      I join a thieves guild with two of my friends. As we´re walking through the city we see a nice spot and decide to take a quick break. We sit down and start a bbq. I leave the place to get a clear head, when one of my "brothers" comes and asks me if i want a piece of the grilled duck. I refuse and go back to the guys. Now the setting is venice and i look over to a nice bridge. I see my dad and my grandpa who both wave at me. I try to make them stop by putting my finger on my lips, so they don´t accidentally reveal our position to the guards. For some reason i believe being a full member of the thieves guild is gonna turn me into a shape shifter and i will be able to turn myself into a duck. (I might be playing to much Skyrim lately ).
      Suddenly we´re being chased. I run really fast and have instances were i have to swim the sewers. I take a turn right into a dark alley and stand infront of a lot of old oil barrels. I start a David Belle like Parkour escape. I get to a biig storage building. In fear i decide to climb the highest rack. When i reach the top there are a couple friends of mine waiting and chatting. They´re listening to music so i tell them to be quiet but hey don´t listen. As I´m trying to make them be quiet it occurs to me that we all might be dead. When i present my idea to the others they all agree like it´s no bigi deal. I get kinda stressed... and wake up.
      A Khajit is a mythical creature in Elder scrolls
      18 April 2014
      I do not know where it was I had arrived in this strange and ambiguous world we call the dream realm but it would appear that I had arrived at the perfect time, reader. You see, in this particular region of the dream realm resided a neighborhood of upscale families and wealthy business men. Everyone had his nose up in the air but I did not seem to mind. Now there was one family in particular who stood out from all the rest. This might be an ironic statement as the family that stood out the most was very family that had put forth the most effort not to stand out the most. But it seems that their attempts at privacy backfired for it is their obvious effort of reclusion that seemed to spark everyone’s curiosity. What was this family? What were they hiding?
      Now there are some things we did know about this family. Or to be more precise were things that the neighbors knew and things that I had learned from them. For one the entire family tree from then until now was exclusively human. There was no non-human blood dripping into the family’s gene pool which, among the dream realm’s incredibly divers population, is a fact worth mentioning. The reason for this is simple: the family inbred. Like other rich families before them they believed in keeping these things within the family. It was the idea of sharing wealth with “outsiders” that really did seem to repulse the family more than the sexual vice of incest. Another thing is the simple fact that the old man who owns the family business is about to bite the dust.
      Now the family was so well sheltered that many members did not realize how famous they were. However, they would have to come out of hiding soon enough as their father had just died and now the multibillion dollar business is up for grabs. There was no standard next of kin inheritance here. It seems their father would have preferred a much more interesting alternative. There would be an auction held among the family and the business would go to the highest bidder. This is where the true nature of the family was made apparent. They came out from behind the veil of anonymity for the first time in decades and the spectators were in for a big surprise. The family was not united in the way that people once believed. Many of the family members were actually quite immature and they were fighting over one thing, the business. Another thing that surprised the denizens was that the family was no longer exclusively inbred. There were Khajit among the family members, which means that at some point in history a Khajit has managed to wriggle his way into the gene pool.
      Now the auctions took place at an amphitheater just outside of the neighborhood and it was not a silent one. I sat far right of the auctioneers along with everyone else there. They all watched in amusement laughing at the immaturity of these people. I had no feelings either way but the denizens who were watching the spectacle clearly had lost all respect for this family. After the auction the families were talking about what had happened and what was revealed. “I cannot believe they are out and about after so long.” One of them said. I asked an upper class woman why there were so many Khajit among the family members and she said, “It would appear that at some point in history a member of their family slept with a Khajit.” A Khajit. Someone slept with just one Khajit and yet now there were so many. This told me that even after this one misstep the inbreeding had not ceased. The Khajit were now just mixed in with the vice.
    11. Trying to get back to lucid dreaming:LD #91: Semi lucid adventures in ... Skyrim?
      by , 06-03-2014 at 04:14 AM (Lucid Time!)
      My god this dream is groggy and fragmented.
      Anyways I cannot recall the exacting details of what was going on, the surroundings were very blurry in the beginning of the dream. I was in what felt like the basement of my own home, but it felt larger and more spacious (That or I had become smaller). The basement slowly began to mesh with a dungeon looking space.
      There were a couple of dream characters leading me away from some supposed danger. We get to the 'upstairs' that looks like an open tundra, just like Skyrim. But strangely it still feels like my own home as well. A kind of crappy groggy mesh the dream had created. Furniture was scattered about, and the hills and valleys somewhat mimicked the shape of the rooms.
      Some attacking army came upon us, composed entirely of archers. They unleashed a hail of arrows. (Hey I thought those dream characters were leading me away from danger, not twoards it.)
      I see one of the 'helpful' dream characters take an arrow to the knee. ._.
      The dream started to get much clearer, and became the interior of my house. The feeling of the meadow was gone, but the general of the army, some barbarian and a handful of his archers were still present.
      Manei (My dream guide) appears next to me, and just seeing her makes me partially
      lucid. Also something weird, she usually has really long black hair, but it was buzzed really short in this dream. The workings of my dream guide will probably never be fully understood.
      Anyways, we are ducking behind the kitchen counter and the barbarians (for whatever reason) are not merely flanking us. Manei says she can execute some spell that will take away all of the soldiers, but she has nothing to deal with the general. So she does the spell.
      The barbarian general approaches. He announces that he has only one arrow, but that he will make it count. He fires it and it ricochets around the room bouncing off of several objects before flying past Lia, slicing the side of her face. It looked kind of like that scene from 300 with King Xerxes. (Hangon, I thought dream guides were supposed to be immortal and unable to be injured. I saw her get punched through a concrete roof by a giant robot and she shrugged it off like it was nothing. But an arrow, Kryptonite!)
      So it is at this point she tells me that I am in
      factdreaming. (Oh now you tell me.) Okay, so I guess I have to fight this loser. He pulls a pair of small axes from his cuirass. I merely stand and allow him to charge me. Once he is about 10 feet away...
      FUS RO DAH!
      The barbarian goes flying, smashing the front door of my house. I look out the door to see him land and tumble around in the street outside my house. I am suddenly awoken.
      Last night was a pretty eventful night as far as dreams go.
      The first thing I remember, I'm in a car going down a highway or something. Everything looked very real. I eventually realized I was dreaming, so I decided to change the scenery.
      I said out loud "when I turn around, I want everything to look like Skyrim."
      And it worked. Everything looked exactly like a real-life version of Skyrim, right down to the characters.
      I even talked to one of the characters, and she talked in the same voice, accent and with the same vocabulary as someone from Skyrim. Pretty cool.
      I'm not sure why I was thinking about Skyrim at all though, I haven't played that game in a pretty long time.
    13. 01/15/13 Ratchet and Clank in Skyrim
      by , 01-17-2014 at 04:51 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      01/15/14
      I am in a city I don't recognize. I look around to see if I can identify it. It looks like a city out of a fantasy RPG such as Skyrim or Oblivion. There are various people walking around and chatting, various races. I spot a couple orcs, several feline kajiit, and a small cluster of argonians among the more human like races. I decide since I know approximately where I am I need to find out why I'm there. In this kind of game one can often find information in a local pub. So I walk down the street, searching for an inn or a pub. I see some other shops. An apothecary, an armor shop, and a weapons shop, and then a pub. The pub is called the Drunken Troll. I know I've never heard of that particular pub in the parts of the games I've played, but that doesn't matter. Things don't always match perfectly. I go into the pub.
      Inside the pub it is relatively quiet. It is the middle of the day, and there aren't too many people in there drinking yet. Two khajiit are having an animated conversation in the corner, the merchant at the bar is a nord, and a small group of wood elves seem to be celebrating something at one of the tables in the main sitting area. The nord at the bar looks bored, so I go over to him. He asks what I'll have. He says he is fresh out of nordish ale, his shipment is running late. I wonder if that could lead to a quest. Maybe some bandits are causing trouble or something like that.
      I am about to ask something about it when a man enters the room, looking breathless. He is carrying a large crate which he sets on the bar. The nord says never mind... the nordish ale is here. The man who just entered looks like another nord. The delivery man says the merchant isn't going to believe what he just saw outside. The merchant laughs and asks what he saw this time, a khajiit kissing an argonian? The delivery man says nope. He saw the strangest looking miniature khajiit walking down the street talking to this little metal golem. The merchant just gives him a strange look. The delivery man adds that the little golem has wings like a bird of some kind. The merchant starts laughing. The delivery man says he is not into the skooma again, he has given up that stuff. I wonder what he has seen, so I decide to check it out. I get up and head out. The merchant calls after me that he doesn't sell skooma... he runs a reputable establishment! Come back! I tell him I'll probably be back after I check out this miniature khajiit. The merchant says the delivery man is just blowing smoke. The delivery man says he really saw it!
      I go outside onto the street. I look up and down the street to see if anything looks strange. I spot what is out of place right away. Walking down the middle of the road are a couple of individuals that I would never have expected to see in a Tamriel type world. Ratchet the lombax and Clank the robot. Wtf? They are looking around in a perplexed manner. I get closer to them and I can hear them talking. Ratchet is asking Clank if he has any idea where they are. Clank says there is no place in his databases that matches this place. Ratchet says an even better question is how did they get here. Clank looks at me strangely. He says he doesn't know that, either, but the locals are staring. Ratchet looks where Clank is looking, at me, and asks if I have never seen a lombax and a robot before. I say not in this dimension. Oh, and by the way, I'm not a local. And I am pretty certain that the people here have never seen either a lombax or a robot. And I am wondering how exactly this has happened... Is someone messing with dimensions again?
      A couple of people walk by, talking a bit too loud. One of them says look at the funny little khajiit. An actual khajiit looks at Ratchet and says there is no way that pathetic thing is a khajiit. Ratchet hears that and gives the khajiit a dirty look. Clank puts one hand on Ratchet and says not to start any trouble. The khajiit talks like a typical khajiit, says, "Urj'Jirr thinks that little one has an attitude problem." Ratchet looks around and says Urj'Jirr should say that to him directly instead of getting a pal to say it. The khajiit, Urj'Jirr, says, "Urj'Jirr just did. Urj'Jirr says the little one is not too bright." Now Ratchet just has a confused look on his face. He says there is definitely something wrong with the people here. Urj'Jirr looks annoyed and says, "Maybe Urj'Jirr should teach the strange one some manners." Urj'Jirr's companion takes his arm, however. Ratchet is annoyed again and says, "Well maybe Urj'Jirr should just try it... if HE has the balls!" Urj'Jirr starts to make a move, but his friend restrains him. His friend, an imperial I think, says no... he is absolutely not going to bail Urj'Jirr's ass out of jail again. The friend points at a couple of guards who are now watching us. Urj'Jirr says, "Urj'Jirr thinks the little one got lucky... this time." Urj'Jirr's friend forcibly pulls him away. Ratchet is muttering that he'll show that Urj'Jirr who was lucky... Clank tells Ratchet to calm down, they have to figure out where they are and how to get back home.
      I look and make sure Urj'Jirr is really leaving, which he is, though he seems reluctant. He and his friend go into the pub. Great... just what the city needs. A drunk, conceited khajiit looking for a fight. I tell Ratchet and Clank I have no idea how they got here, but I do believe I can help them out with getting home. Clank says that would be very helpful. I focus on opening a portal to get to Ratchet and Clank's home dimension. Nothing happens right away, but I don't have time to focus long before I see a nord dressed in armor coming down the street sounding an alarm. Most everyone is running for shelter. Ratchet and Clank are just watching him, I am there with them wondering what is happening. The guard comes over when he sees we aren't running and says the goblins are attacking, everyone who can't fight needs to seek shelter. Ratchet asks who said he couldn't fight. The guard pauses and then says no one. He says if Ratchet is willing and able to help, any assistance would be appreciated and surely rewarded as well as the guard is quite outnumbered. The guard pauses... then asks if Ratchet is a khajiit... he's never seen a khajiit quite like him. Ratchet says he's a lombax. The guard makes like he knows what that means, moves off a couple steps, then stops and says, "A what?" But Ratchet doesn't notice, he is heading in the direction the guard indicated the goblin attack is in. Clank follows after, jumping up into the air and somehow getting hold on Ratchet's back for a piggy back ride.
      I follow Ratchet and Clank down the street. We are going against the flow of the main crowd, but the crowd dwindles soon as we reach the edge of town. There is a wall there, and guards are closing the gate. Ratchet and Clank get through just before the gate closes. I just jump over the wall. The guards stare at that in surprise. I land next to Ratchet and Clank on the other side of the wall. There are large numbers of goblins running at the city. The guards, being quite outnumbered, are trying to hold them back. Most of the fighters are nords, but there are other races mixed in. I wonder if Urj'Jirr might be there somewhere since he had been looking for a fight. The goblins attack everyone equally. They don't care if their target is nord, khajiit, lombax, or robot... The goblins are many but not too bright. Ratchet throws a grenade bomb into a group of goblins. One of them picks it up and seems very interested in it right up to the point where it explodes in his hand and takes him out along with a few goblins right around him. No one pays the explosion much notice, as there are other explosions around caused by mages throwing fireballs. Ratchet jumps into the air, practically flying by using Clank as a jet pack and is dropping more bombs down among the goblins. I see one goblin actually try to eat one of them before it explodes. I form my arm into an Alex Mercer blade and enter into the fray, cutting a path through the attacking goblins.
      The fight is pretty chaotic, so I don't see a lot of details of what is going on. But I finally spot that there seems to be one person directing the attack… and for some reason it doesn't surprise me that the person is Robert de Sable. Robert is throwing balls of flaming dark energy at those who are fighting his goblins. He throws a dark fireball at a khajiit who has his back turned. The dark fireball is detonated by an energy blast that I track back to Ratchet's gun. The khajiit notices that and turns on Robert. That is my main target… so I head over there. I get closer and recognize that khajiit… it turns out that Urj'Jirr is there, and is now closing in on Robert de Sable. Robert is more focused on Ratchet right now and not paying any attention to Urj'Jirr. I get close enough for him to hear me. Robert says there is no reason Ratchet has to stay in one piece and prepares to throw a dark energy fire ball. Urj'Jirr is right behind him and says, "Urj'Jirr thinks the goblin lover should pick on someone his own size," and whacks him upside the head with a mace. Urj'Jirr then proceeds to pound Robert repeatedly with his mace. The mace isn't getting past a dark energy shield. Robert is laughing at the khajiit's attacks. He throws a dark energy fireball at Urj'Jirr. I use a biomass shield to block it, more of the blast hits Robert than Urj'Jirr. About three grenades land right in Robert's face and explode. Several arrows stick in Robert's back, I'm not sure where those came from. Yet Robert is still laughing. He says he is much too strong to be killed by such things. An aura of dark energy flames surrounds Robert. A blast of dark energy forces everyone in his near vicinity away from him.
      "HEY, ROBERT, YOU CHICKEN-WUSS!" I call out to Robert. He looks over at me and laughs some more. He just cleared the area around him, so I use the opportunity to use a ground spike attack on him from Alex Mercer's arsenal of attacks. Robert teleports over closer to Urj'Jirr, who attacks him immediately. Robert laughs at the khajiit and then says there is chaos here… his work is done. He disappears in a blast of dark energy that throws Urj'Jirr about 20 feet in my direction. " Urj'Jirr says Robert is a coward…" and then calls out, "Come back and fight, coward! Come back and face Urj'Jirr like a warrior instead of hiding like a cave rat!" But Robert doesn't respond. He is gone yet again. I run over to where he disappeared and focus on opening a portal to follow him. A portal opens and I jump through it. He is not getting away this time. Urj'Jirr follows right behind me. Wtf? That's the last thing I needed… some khajiit following me to some random dimension. On the other side I look around a forested landscape. I see no sign of Robert. Urj'Jirr is also looking around in a puzzled manner. Urj'Jirr asks where Robert has gone, then yells out again that Robert should come out and fight. I tell Urj'Jirr that Robert won't be coming out to fight… he really is too much of a coward. I know him well. And now I can't even follow him again, I have to take Urj'Jirr home. In fact, I shouldn't have followed him to begin with… I have to take Ratchet and Clank home.
      I curse to myself and open a portal back to the goblin battle. When I get there and Urj'Jirr follows me I see the battle is pretty much over. Without their leader, most of the goblins have turned around and headed back to their caves. Urj'Jirr looks around and then heads over to help out the imperial I saw him with earlier. I look around to see where Ratchet and Clank are. I finally spot them not too far off. I head over in their direction, at least they're ok. So it should be as simple as returning them home. I get over to Ratchet and Clank and tell them I can still get them back home. Clank is wanting to know how they got here in the first place. I tell him someone has been doing that a lot, though I'm not sure what his goal is… still got to find that out… or just take the idiot out… I focus on opening a portal to Ratchet and Clank's home world. A portal opens and I look through into a futuristic looking city. It looks like the right place. Ratchet and Clank finally go through the portal just before everything fades and I wake up.
      I had a dream in which I was playing/living in some sort of crossover between Skyrim and Dragon Age. I was both Dovahkiin and Grey Warden, which was brought up repeatedly. Alistair was my companion and had Skyrim behavior (e.g. he would sneak when I would). There was a Skyrim sneaking crosshair. The environment was a cross between Skyrim and the road I used to live on. I was repeatedly attacked by wolves and such. IRL, I am against dogma, and in the dream I had this realization that the wolves were trying to get me to believe their dogma -- that I am their food. Makes sense, actually.
      I could not recall anything when my alarm woke me at 3:30AM. I felt alert like I had slept really well. I only stayed up for about 15 min and tried for MILD. I didn't have a recent dream to build on so I started visualizing an OBE. I forgot some of the NLDs because I didn't take DJ notes. I wanted to stay focused on MILD. I also include some mantras.
      I woke to a FA. Tonya from work was in my house making noise and keeping me from sleeping. I tried laying on the couch but she turned the T.V. way up. I had to turn it off to keep my wife and son from waking up. I tried to get on the laptop at the kitchen table but April, the engineer that retired a long time ago, showed up and told me I had to leave. They were about to have an important meeting and I was not allowed to be there. I wonder into the kitchen and see Tonya doing dishes. I can smell something cooking in the oven. It smells like French Fries. She has a huge pile of suds in the sink and a glass of soapy water in one hand. She looks at me and deliberately pours water into the floor. I get pissed at her and she says it was just a prank. I told her that I didn't care if she was just joking with me. She went too far! I storm off into the bedroom to try to get back to sleep so I could maybe get lucid still. When I walk into the bedroom there is a huge screen above my bed with a French Fry commercial stuck on repeat. The fries look odd but delicious. I notice my wife going into the bathroom from the corner of my eye but I am transfixed by the screen. I wake up.
      I recall the dream and try to change it at a point where I could have become lucid.The entire dream was so odd that I have trouble deciding where to start. I am too drowsy and do a poor job of MILD.
      I have another FA but this time my kitchen is huge and open and looks like the upstairs area I've been working at my job. I can still smell the Fries and I see a tray of them out to cool.At some point here I do a quick nose plug but it fails. A part of me remembers the last dream and I tell myself, "The next time I am dreaming this I will know that I am dreaming." (Waking world habit bleeding in here! This is actually very encouraging even if I didn't get it.) My introspection is broken by my boss. She franticly tells me to clock into training and get some books out read over some process procedures until I get some work to do. "Just look busy!" I hurry to do what I was told. I wake up.
      I fell like an idiot after recalling the dream. I notice It's getting light outside and I feel worried that I am not going to get lucid this time. I resolve my determination and switch to WILD
      #195 - 6:39AM - WILD
      This may have not been a true WILD but at some point I notice vibrations and it gets my attention.I think, Oh thank God! This is it! Even if this dream doesn't work out I still got this far! I feel my heart pounding with excitement and I take some time to calm myself. I then try to transition but lately it just seems so difficult to do my normal thing. I try spinning but it's slow and sluggish. I stop trying with the physical sensations and begin visualizing. I think of myself walking in the void with my hand in front of me. I focus on seeing my hands and soon I see a dim and blurry pair of hands in front of me. I have doubts this is really working and it feels super fake but I tell myself, "Just believe it and it will happen." I really put confidence into my abilities and soon I am in a version of my house.
      I don't know if I just forgot what happened here or if I temporary lost lucidity but there is a huge memory gap that I just cannot remember.
      I am walking past some dark alcove and I remember that I wanted to have a Skyrim dream (I've been playing a lot of Skyrim lately) I decide to get ballsy and head into the darkness to phase teleport. I put my head down and close my eyes running straight into the dark part of the wall. I feel soft resistance and then dark nothingness.
      I focus on all the visuals I got from playing the game yesterday. I want to be in an open mountainous countryside. I begin walking and I can hear the crunch of my boots with each step. Soon, after much effort, I begin to see it but everything looks like an oil painting and lacks real depth or openness. The colors are dim and dull with little detail. I stop and focus on the ground and things got a little better but not much. I literally am stuck in a painting! I continue moving and try to open the "world" up and give it more life. I feel like I am making progress but suddenly I feel a strong urge to pee.
      This puts me back in my bed and I panic a little thinking I need to wake up to pee. I try to move but SP has me locked in. I feel real bladder pain now and worry I might pee the bed. I know I can hold my breath to wake up but I really don't want to do that when I am so locked in like this. I laugh to myself and decide I should just try to hold it and dream a little longer.
      I decide to spin and visualize. I enjoy the feeling of spinning at high speed with no motion sickness or centripetal forces for and moment while trying to "see". In a few seconds I am standing next to my bed. Everything is vivid clear and bright. I am shocked how clean this dream looks and I realize that this would be easy to believe as a real awakening. I step into the bathroom and see myself in the mirror. To be sure I do a nose plug while watching myself. I blow through but it's not clean. It's like my sinuses are clogged up a little. Oooh that must be why I failed in the other dream! I blow again slowly and deliberately until I am satisfied. Now, I study myself in the mirror and realize I am wearing wire frame glasses. I smile at this and wonder. I assume it's because I have been wearing reading glasses at work. I take them off but my vision get way too blurry so I put them back on. Better to look like dork then not be able to see. I study my face in the mirror and realize how wide this mirror is. It's huge! I am further amazed how clear and normal my face looks. I keep thinking how long this dream has been and I worry that I'm going to forget some of it. I try not to worry about it.
      I don't want to spend to much time here so I decide to enter the mirror. I put my head in but it's solid. I remember to think about it differently and reach in with my left arm. The glass turns into quick silver and I reach back and pull my head in. My vision turns blurry and I feel like I am trying to see underwater. I really don't want to have to form a new scene again so I back out. My vision is back and I wonder into the joining bedroom. Again there is another huge mirror on the wall. The rest of the room is empty. I see those stupid glasses on me and decide I don't need them after all. I take them off and toss them to the floor. I watch as the glasses fall in slow motion and dissolve away. My vision is fine and I guess a part of me remembers the naked task. I notice I am wearing some khaki green sleeveless shirt and my gray gym shorts I wear as PJs. I get curious what I would look like in the mirror so I start my taking my shirt off. Maintain visuals. I carefully take my shirt of and keep it way from my head so that my vision is not completely obstructed. When I look into the mirror again I am wearing a black sleeveless shirt. I laugh and this time I rip my shirt down the front. I look pretty normal shirtless so I pull down my shorts and look at myself. I grab my junk and shake it laughing. At that moment Wurlman and another guy walks in laughing at me. Wurlman says something like, "Oh my God dude. What are you doing?" He laughs at me hysterically. I'm not embarrassed because I know it's a dream. I just say, "If my wife could see me right now she would be all like... Oh my God you're so sexy". I laugh. Suddenly I wake up.
      And guess what? I didn't have to pee after all.
      I found this article while searching for a title to this dream. Not only is it great for waking life but it really fits with the mindset of this dream and lucid dreaming in general.
