    1. Being a guardian wolf and a very strange girl | [07.08.2020]

by , 08-07-2020 at 01:32 PM (Draeger's Dream Journal and Documentation)
      Being a guardian wolf
I am some sort of wolf, and I am there to protect Snow White from once upon a time at some sort of warehouse. Something attacks. At some point I see myself in third person. I might have two different eye colors it seems, and I am in a sort of lurking pose. I might later be hurt.

      A very strange girl
A girl is sort of really insane. Maybe she isn't even human. Maybe she even kidnapped me. It might be in some other world, but it definitely is very strange and has a strange feeling associated to how the world works. She at some point wants to do something really strange like building a cocoon..? And at some point she might have sent me into another world or something, maybe restaurant related. In the end she tries to stab me and we are suddenly in the hallway of my home, and then I try and choke her and she is suddenly a cat.
    2. Snow White, Dean, and an Eldritch Abomination

      by , 03-13-2013 at 04:47 AM
(Once Upon a Time, Supernatural and Cthulhu Mythos. Apparently.)
I am Snow White's daughter, but I'm not Emma. I have an older brother who looks like Charming, while I look like mother did when she was young. I also have two younger siblings, a two year old boy and a newborn. Our parents have gone missing and we don't know what has happened to them, in actuality they have disappeared to another world and gone to war. They've left us to care for the young ones, I'm worried I'll never see our parents again. Our own world is filled with demons, even the hospital is infested. Such that when I see my brother walking with a portly red-haired female nurse, I'm afraid that he has become possessed. In terror, I watch him from afar. If he has been taken, it's possible that no one in my family remains unchanged. I notice him doing normal things and am vastly relieved. The nurse turns her black eyes on me and I look away. It seems that even they would not dare hurt royal children just because the king and queen are away.

There's a lapse and I'm outside, it's dark. The trees framing the monastery walls are black and dead. I'm looking for my little brother, he has been missing for days. I'm at the edge of the clearing when I see the nurse from the house, wearing a shark's smile, kicking a box under a table. She disappears, I run to where she was standing and find my brother in a yellow shoebox under a long picnic table beneath the awning stretching out from the face of the building. I start to panic, he looks tiny and emaciated. I'm afraid he will starve if I don't get some food into him immediately. I cast around for some food but the place is dead, empty. I start to cry, grief and helplessness tight in my chest. It's hard to breath around it. I'm terrified that I'm being tested, and realize the truth of that fear when I see my options. An old oven is illuminated in the wall behind my brother, and off to my right by the arched red monastery door, are three orphan babies left in the cold. Usually the monks here would take them in. It's the dead of night and whoever left them didn't bother to ring the bell, leaving their lives to fate or to demons.
Upon seeing the oven I felt a surge of hope, I could bake something for my brother to eat. He wouldn't die! Then I saw the freezing orphans and knew I had to make a choice.
"No no no, I don't know what to do. Don't make me choose."
But it's a test, and I have to choose. What do I do? Is it selfish to choose one life, because it belongs to my brother? Will my mother be disappointed that I didn't save the three children?
Indecision tears at me. I pace between my brother and the three shriveled children. I start to sob, twisting my hands into fists in my long black hair. I don't want to choose, I don't want to choose. I fall to my knees beside my brother and...
The pain becomes too much for my subconscious and I feel myself retreat. I am myself and the daughter no longer. I'm asking someone if they're caught up on episodes, and it's terrible what happens to Snow's family, that I can't believe what they have to go through.

I follow Snow around and don't participate at all. Like I'm watching a movie. The day is overcast, we have gathered for war games to prepare for battle. This seemingly insincere call to arms is the only way we can meet under the eye of the enemy and avoid retaliation. There's a beautiful dark-haired cat-eyed woman who can't take the games seriously. She knows the true purpose of the call, but keeps joking around. At first she steps up to the man carrying the roster and gives him a salute, somewhere between a mocking gesture and seriousness. When he looks away she grins a little and hops into rank with five others. Snow sees her for what she is though, that despite her attempt to remain a jester, she is very capable and charismatic. Snow calls out that those she hands hats out to will play officers in the coming game. They've all mounted horses, and the black-haired woman is on a black horse with a white stripe down its nose. Snow drops a hat onto the woman's head, surprising the hell out of her. For a second she looks disconcerted, then she smiles and tugs on the reins, her horse neatly side-steps and dances up beside another person in line. She takes the hat off and drops it on someone's head. When the woman glances up she sees Snow's wry look, it also says "you won't escape that easily."
"Aura. Come HERE." Snow points firmly at the ground in front of her.
Aura, the woman, grins at the person next to her and prances up to the commander.
"I don't know why you're so reluctant to help."
"I can't be of use." The humor vanishes from her face and is replaced with sharp deprecation. "My heart just isn't what it used to be. I bet you didn't even recognize me..." She hands a male soldier a greeting card. On the inside is her picture, she looks subtly different. When my vision pulls back from the card, I see a triangular bandage on her chest, indicating that she has been injured. "Besides, do you really want a super model leading your troops?"
Snow looks annoyed but gets called away before she can say that it doesn't matter who you are here, it matters who you used to be back Home.

From where I stand, the sea is a grey choppy mass to my back. There's a rough rock outcropping jutting from long pale grass lain flat by the wind. Dean from Supernatural is holding up a mess of purple string.
      "WHAT is this?"
I gesture for him to hand it over, and he does.
      "It's our early warning system."
He looks extremely amused, something about how the words and their implications are of this world and alien to the one we are from.
      "Early warning system?"
I roll my eyes at him. "Can you please take this seriously? It works, alright? They've proven it." I explain how the string is staked into the ground all around the world and that each attack from our Enemy is preceded by vibration. The direction of the vibrations will help us pinpoint the place the Enemy intends to attack, and will appear on our map. Showing us where to go.
He nods at me, knowing he needs to stop joking around. He turns to the others around us and holds up a map. "The...early warning system," he cracks a smile and I shake my head at him, a little annoyed. He clears his throat, "the system indicates that the next attack will happen in Ghana." But he doesn't say Ghana. He says Ana, leaving the G silent. I hear somebody snicker.
"Hey Dean, the G isn't silent..."
      "Sure it is."
      "Nope, pretty sure it's Ghana."
      "Shut up..."
"Fine, okay, does it say WHERE in Ghana?"
I look at the map and as I expected, there's a rough wooden pin sticking into a mountain range. I think it's a large crescent shaped range, then realize it's actually a solitary mountain at the range's back. I tug on the mass of purple string, trying to straighten it out. I can feel it against my fingers when, hear the sound it makes between them.
      "Here. In the hills."
"Let's get to it then!" Dean says.

Myself, Snow, Charming and Dean have gathered with what's left of our people in Ghana. We know that It plans to come here, and we're going to be in Its way when it does. We pretend we're having a meeting, the leaders from each race was invited to the panel, so that we could decide how to handle the Enemy, together. When It invaded ten years ago, It forbade large meetings like this. Snow tenses and runs past me. I catch her arm,
      "Hey, what's happening?"
"It's here. Prepare yourselves everyone, it will see right through our excuses." She goes to face the black wall behind the table we had all occupied a few minutes before. We thought that we would have more time.
A woman in glasses with dirty blonde hair rings her hands.
      "He's coming here?"
"Don't call it a 'he' Sara. Giving it gender will only humanize him." I frown, "It."
We hear it before we see it.
"A panel? And I wasn't invited? You're in violation of the One Law." The black wall behind the table becomes a fathomless void, and from the abyss emerges an androgynous child. It would almost be pretty if not for its dead eyes. It's dressed in a white and grey skin-tight spandex. Bare footed. Head shaved. The only indication that it is not human (aside from it's eyes), is the lesions from corruption and plague on its scalp. I'm afraid suddenly that he heard me call him an IT and will be violently displeased.
It seems the creature will be violently displeased anyway. It gives us a mad-man's smile and its true form appears behind the child. An giant scaly eye with yellow sclera, innumerable tentacles snake out from behind the eye, this monstrosity filling the room with its vile, suffocating presence. We tense---

AAAAND MY ALARM GOES OFF. >.< WHY?! I was going into an epic battle against an eldritch abomination!

    3. Disney princess dream (Tanged Spolier)

      by , 01-01-2011 at 06:46 PM
Last night I had this dream: I woke up in a tower chained but I had no idea how I got there, I looked around me and I saw 7 Disney princesses, 2 were sleeping on beds but the were chained (Snow White and Aurora) , Cinderella was chained in a way but she did have a bit of freedom to clean around, Ariel was in a pool chained to the ladder of the pool but she kept changing from legs, to mermaid tale, Jasmine was there too (but dressed in the outfit (and chains) from Aladdin when Jafar was ruling the kingdom)but she was feeding the awake princesses., Tiana was there chained but kept changing from her human self to her frog self, and so was Rapunzel, but unlike us others, she was gagged too.

I asked "What in the world is going on? " The other (awake) princesses said they didn't know-but somehow the villains of their respective stories were back again but were following orders from someone else. I immediately thought and said out loud "Chernabog" but before I could continue someone (Flynn from Tangled) came over the one window in the tower and went to Rapunzel.\

After lowing the gag off her mouth Flynn said something to her but I couldn't tell what he was saying because I could only hear German words ("Es gibt drei Männer, die zu retten. Eine von ihr Toy Story Film Träume, eine andere Person ist ein junges sie weiß, und die dritte ist ein Held der einige fantasy Geschichte sie schrieb."). Rapunzel translated "Anne, Flynn said 'there are three men who are coming to rescue you. One from your toy story dreams, another person is a boy you know, and the third is a hero of some fantasy story you wrote." I said to Rapunzel "Tell Flynn to tell them not to have any fighting but to work together"
Which is what he did. The dreamed ended
    4. Walmart Sucks

by , 09-16-2010 at 07:20 PM (Amen, the thunderbolt in the dark void....)
I am walking about a very odd neighborhood. I say it was odd because I couldn't for the life of me discern whether or not it was a town, a city, a school, a campus, etc. It was just odd in that strange dream-like sort of way that is very nearly impossible to explain to another human being (or computer screen as the case may be).

As I am walking, I eventually end up somewhere, and that somewhere is not a place I really wanted to be. It was a great towering walmart. Now, let me explain a little something about myself....

I don't go to walmart. The place scares the crap out of me. It's big and scary and there are flourescent lights, and it's just the kind of place I don't want to go. The last time I went to walmart (irl) I very nearly got a panic attack as soon as we had made it about halfway through the store. I really don't like that place (or any giant department stores/malls, walmart just seems to generally be the worst though).

Anyhow, as I was saying, I was swiftly approaching the walmart on foot when I found I was holding a strange pamphlet. It had lots of pictures of RV's on them and said that I would be able to purchase a 5 room RV for $1,200. The thing was like a freaking palace. It also inflated into a full house with a garden sometimes, but I forget how you made it do this.

Somehow I purchased the RV and was pretty happy about it. I think I made a bargain with some people saying I would pay them back. They gave me the RV and a $600 gift certificate to walmart that had to be spent within the next hour or it would expire.

I ventured inside of the great fortress, the fluorescent lights were blinding, the store huge, a giant labyrinth of aisles and strange hidden places that I didn't particularly wish to explore. I grabbed a cart. The entirety of the time I was inside the fortress the cart was simply following me and I was not pushing it. This made perfect sense at the time, and in fact I did not pay much attention to it. I kept calling things in French, but it was kind of a jumble. I was really americanizing it all. For example "oh these are pretty tasses." People kept giving me strange looks. At one point I exclaimed out loud, "fuck this shit, I don't care if I don't spend the money, this place sucks," and stormed out the front doors.

I saw a few people I knew in the parking lot. I wanted to show them my RV thinking that I would impress them. I took them inside and the first thing I showed them was that in the main bedroom, if you flipped the bed over it was a giant hot tub. They were not amused.

... the next parts of the dreams were strange, hazy, bizarre and I'm going to have an incredibly difficult time trying to explain just exactly what happened.

It had something to do with Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.

I was with a group of people. We had to go into a cave and rescue/save/defeat something. There were beautiful flowers that were pink and seemed to be made out of glass. I kept picking them up and admiring them.

There was talk of how we must reenact the old stories. Later there was talk of how we were filming a movie.

At one point I walked through downtown Santa Cruz and into a pizza place. There was a large group of people sitting around on bar stools in a circle. I think it was someones birthday. There was someone else with me who had walked in but I don't remember. We all sat down and they all went and sat down at a different table. Me and the other person were left sitting around wondering what we should do. We got up and sat with them and then left because we didn't like the energy.

A lot of other stuff happened but unfortunately it's too hard for me to describe right now.
    5. Not Quite Snow White

      by , 01-10-1970 at 09:32 PM
Morning of January 10, 1970. Saturday.

A boy I knew in real life as a classmate, Bobo C (at least he was always called BoBo though that was possibly only a nickname) was a couple years older than other students, and he had a mental disability (and apparently did not have access to a special school). He would continually shout “Are you sassin’ me?” (in the lower grades) when anyone talked to him, though as he got older, he seemed to become more settled and less emotional. He even became friendlier towards me and more than once took back a comic book from someone who had taken it from me without me asking him.

His persona becomes a “tall” dwarf in my dreams (I know - makes no sense). There is confusion of Rumpelstiltskin (which is not related to the “Snow White and Rose Red” story to my knowledge) in being the son of Rip Van Winkle (which is completely unrelated to either story in reality - though the names both start with “R” and have four syllables). Either there is two of him, or the father is much like the son in appearance. Both are old and have long white beards. I play a game with the names, everything from “Rump Van Winkle” to “Ripple Still Skin”.

At the edge of the world (which I originally wrote as a child in journals as the “end” of the world - not knowing that term was more relevant to an imagined event rather than a place) is a sort of barrier, like a single brick wall (not very wide - perhaps about six feet across and with a partial implied doorway or section of missing bricks), but with decorative residential features near the opening, such as an upright flower pot with one flower and a tipped-over one on the other side. This is where Snow White and Rose Red watch the world below. In this situation, they are enemies (both after the same male - me and their “place” on Earth). There is no logical realization that perhaps a person could just go on either side of the area with the wall, though I still get the impression there is not much beyond that (other than perhaps a long narrow bridge floating in space).

Bobo just wants to leave the region as he does not like the idea of “falling off the edge of the world” as he claims Columbus actually did (and was never heard from again). At the ending of one version, he climbs “invisible stairs” rather oddly (as if by two invisible steps at a time), though I somehow “know” they are not actually there and if I tell him they are not there, I might become responsible for any injury he incurs. Where he is going, though, is undetermined. If nothing exists beyond this space, where will he end up at?

Not much happens. I am tempted to turn the one plant pot upright, but do not have the bravery to do so. The ground may not be solid there.

One girl (I do not remember which one but probably Rose Red) is at an old-fashioned spinning wheel. However, she is not spinning gold but sharpening a knife. It is for a battle to come. (“Did you find a directing sign on the straight and narrow highway?”, “Someone is waiting just for you - spinning wheel is spinning true”.)

This was a “prototype”, apparently, for my “Castle of Winds” dreams in the 1980s (though there was a version in the mid 70s) and my life’s path in general, on a higher level - as the “other” (Susan R) “battles” my wife-to-be (long before I learned the “mystery girl” was real), and of course, the blonde hair and dark hair is relevant in this case. An invisible staircase could suggest “not getting the (right) support” (especially as he was mentally disabled) but stepping up anyway.

On a side note, yet more synchronicity. I just went to Facebook briefly and a brother (who rarely posts) left something on my timeline (for no apparent reason that I can presently guess, as there was no comment) - an animated GIF link featuring mostly red roses in very large clusters. I sometimes wonder how something can be so consistent, especially something “unexplainable”, and especially when the majority of people supposedly do not experience it.
