Morning of June 12, 2015. Friday.

In this dream I seem to be living in a skewed version of my childhood home in Cubitis yet again. However, the neighbors are seemingly all different and it seems to be in present time. The time throughout at least the first two parts of my dream is at night, perhaps around nine o'clock. I am with Zsuzsanna as we are now for the most part. To the south live another married couple, I think, and they own two cars, which for some reason are parked in the southwest section of our lawn, the back of the cars right near our windows, both cars facing south. This annoys me, but that is not the worst of it.

Just outside our windows, in our big front yard, is a large vehicle which mainly resembles a container truck. There is an additional truck which also seems to relate to an industrial or commercial venue; some sort of semi-trailer cab or utility vehicle though it reminds me of a Matchbox pipe-carrying truck I had as a child. One truck is parked facing south and the other facing east, parked in our driveway. I am very annoyed at why people would park like this in our yard. I start yelling at one point, at no one in particular, though the unknown female in the other house looks through their northwest window and says that the trucks are not theirs. Although I am annoyed by the cars parked in our yard, I say that the trucks are far more annoying to have parked right next to our windows. Both trucks look like they might be from the early 1970s or earlier. I am not sure where the drivers are.

I decide to go out and do something about the situation. Somehow (without any implied special powers) I am easily able to move the truck manually by pulling on the front bumper and it rolls to be perpendicular to where it was and now faces east towards our house. I give it a shove, and it rolls backward across our entire large front yard, goes across the highway, and stops on the other side near Kenny and Karen’s old house. The other truck, I do the same with, as I doubt anyone would know what happened or what I was capable of and I feel very good and assertive in doing this. I push it with slightly more effort and it goes a bit too fast and nosily flips over while crossing over the small culvert and lands on mostly its side, though partly leaning on the first truck. I feel a sense of pleasure and wish I could see the reaction of the drivers who had the audacity to park in our yard. An unknown neighbor mentions something about it and I make a claim of how they were so easy to move as such due to them being on wheels.

Later, my dream shifts slightly, and my wife and I are on a large bed at the end of our driveway, head of the bed to the south and adjacent longways to the highway. We are starting to make love. A group of people are walking south down the highway, all somewhat drunk. One mildly intoxicated male stops near our bed and holds his beer bottle on it (near my head) as if it were a counter. I start calling him numerous extreme curse words and ask him if he thinks this is a public place (which it is not, as we are technically in our driveway). As I am yelling, my dream shifts again, though I have a residual confusion about why I would have the bed outside and especially right off the highway. It seems related to just having augmented boldness.

This time, there was a “fictional three daughters” carryover from a recent dream. However, this time the fictional three daughters belong to my wife’s sister Judy - though I get the impression they are recently adopted, though they have a somewhat Middle-Eastern appearance. For some reason, Judy is rolling her eyes to where the pupils and irises almost vanish (and only white is left showing) and I comment on this in a humorous tone, saying something about her trying to see her own forehead or something similar.

My dream fades when we are all in the kitchen and there is something involving both the preparation of food and something about working with some sort of educational craft. I get the impression I had been eating too much of something from the refrigerator’s freezer but cannot recall what it was; possibly some sort of weird fictional food item, though I also take some Salami sticks out to eat from the refrigerator section after this.

    2. Fighting Satan

by , 08-28-2014 at 03:15 PM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
Having snuck into a hostile military base, I hide in the men's restroom as some soldiers pass by. Grabbing a mob and bucket, I act like the janitor, and exit the room, walking casually toward the middle of the huge building I'm in. I am grabbed from behind by a soldier, but wrestle free from his grip and run. Tackled by two other soldiers, they bind my hands in thick metal bars, just about as thick as my wrist is.

Roaring defiantly, I summon super-human strength and rip free from the shackles. Some soldiers see this and shoot at me. Pulsing with strength, the bullets bounce off my chest as I walk toward them and throw them across the room. More to get them to stop shooting than to kill them, but it was a hard toss. With some brief freedom, I try to think of why I came in here in the first place. Nothing coming to mind, I walk out, and see all my friends just lounging around on top of and leaning against the high walls of this building. Just enjoying the sunny day, they wave at me as I look for a spot to sit as well.

One of them calls out to me from atop the wall, "Aren't you forgetting something inside there?" as he points back into the large structure.

I suppose he could be right, so I go back in. Now abandoned, I walk right up to the middle, and see a glowing red and orange hole in the floor. It looks like it goes all the way down to the magma. It sure is hot. More pieces of the floor fall into it as the hole expands with a terrible rumbling and shaking like a demonic earth quake. The building seems like it is beginning to collapse now. I run through falling debris to get outside just in time for most of the building inside the walls to cave into the fiery pit.

Erupting from this massive hole, already about 1 mile across, is Satan. None other than the devil himself. The ground buckles up forming a giant crater around him as he rises to spectacular heights in the sky. Like a giant mountain, his torso sits upon a swirling vortex of fiery magma, as wide as the hole. His body appears to be composed of the same, all encased in some thick black spiky armor. Thicker than I am tall, it covers his whole torso, most of his arms, and also forms a horned helmet with slits for eye holes. Inside of the helmet just glows the color of a hot fire.

I suppose I am the one tasked with defeating him. I still have the capability of increasing my strength, but looking up at him now, it looks like quite the challenge.

My thoughts are interrupted by Satan's attack. He swings a large spiked mass. A mixture of whatever his armor is and liquid magma, all connected to a large chain. The school bus sized spiked mass lands with a loud thump as I jump out of the way. Swinging it so fast, it takes all I've got just to get out of the way in time. He laughs and swings again. I have hardly enough time to regain my footing before I sprint and dive out of the way again. Small craters where he has struck make it harder to move around.

I don't have any weapons at all other than my fists. I look around for anything I can use, and there is nothing. The sky swirls with dark gray clouds above Satan's head. He opens his mouth to reveal yet more flames and molten metal as he stares at me. Letting out a ground trembling roar, he swings again.

Since it seems rather hopeless, I decide to at least have fun with the situation at hand. I jump onto his weapon just as he pulls it back. Hanging on tightly, I soar back up to his level, about 2 miles above the ground. Jumping off at just the right time, I plant my feet on his left shoulder and kick off with all my strength toward his face. Crossing just in front of his helmet, I poke him in the eye with my finger as I laugh a bit.

This seems to only further aggravate him as he clenches his jaw and growls at me.

      Saved by the alarm clock!
    3. Floating girl doing a funny butt dance

      , 01-24-2014 at 02:04 PM
I’m in the street under a train line and as I’m walking I’m thinking about it being morning already and I haven’t had a single lucid tonight. Then it occurs to me - what if I’m dreaming right now? I look at my hands and I realize that I am in fact dreaming, even though my hands look quite normal...I just know. I do a couple of RCs - finger through the palm and pinched nose and they both work. I start rubbing my hands to stabilize and then I spin but it feels uncomfortable rubbing my hands and spinning at the same time so I stop the rubbing. I spin one more time around and it gets a little bit more stable but not completely. I start walking around a little bit and realize that I have a very heavy book-bag on my back and I drop it to the ground by just taking the straps off my shoulders. I turn around and I want to kick this book-bag really hard and I see up ahead about 30-40 feet away there is a doorway with a sign on top. I kick the book-bag real hard in that direction (this thing is huge and heavy) and it goes flying but just off target and I use telekinesis to aim it and hit the sign. The sign explodes and a piece of it goes flying at me and almost hits me in the face. I then see a woman turned away from me. She’s close to that same doorway and I decide I want to throw her against the wall for some reason. I try to do it but it doesn’t work. I then levitate her up in the air and try to do it again but she just floats down to the ground. I then levitate her up again and I start moving her around doing funny dance moves like shaking her butt (she’s wearing a short skirt...like very very short). People around me are laughing and it’s pretty funny how’s she’s floating around and doing funny dance moves. Anyway after a few seconds of that I wake up. I try to DEILD back in but it doesn’t work and I give up to record my dream so that I don’t risk forgetting it later.
    4. Interdimensional rescues, flying around in a “sub-world”?

      by , 07-21-2013 at 12:26 PM
Morning of July 31, 2013. Wednesday.

Another very recent (this morning) vivid dream which really should have been more lucid (although there is a solid clear awareness of something being “different”) was related to going into another dimension of a fairly small overall size. Even though this other “world” - about the size of a large business building or perhaps movie theater - has its own rulers, I seem to have ultimate power everywhere within it, at least eventually.

The main idea is that these other “people” are not quite people but some sort of powerful interdimensional being (carrying weapons as well as having some sort of mental power to control others) that are only taking human form for a time. Real human beings had found their way into this other dimension by accident or based on a deliberate portal set up somewhere in the real (or indigenous) world in a public location, mostly relating to halls or doors in halls. Oddly, a few of these people (interdimensionally kidnapped victims) seem to have been actors on old television shows such as “Daktari” and “Swiss Family Robinson”. This was likely vaguely related to an old “Swiss Family Robinson” episode we had just seen and my wife and I laughing ourselves nearly unconscious while watching it. The episode was “Curse of the Idol” - and the unintentional gag was that these people had been on the island for awhile and were working in their garden, when one of them then suddenly just noticed a rather large open cave they had somehow not noticed at any time prior to that point though it had been right next to them all that time. There is something about older television shows and movies and the completely different style of acting and writing that throws me into fits of laughter even with more serious shows.

Anyhow, in this other dimension in my dream, I notice that the portal into it is a short distance to the east within the hall I am in and is otherwise like an ordinary doorway in appearance. I am able to get some people out and back into the “real world” (although I always remain in this other dimension to continue to help all the others still “trapped” by the malevolent beings), sometimes after them having been gone for seemingly a very long time. The other beings do not notice right away and I sometimes “play dumb” when approached.

Eventually, though, I am found out, and it will probably be their intent to destroy me or at least put me in a cage or something. However, I am not powerless. I am easily able to destroy them simply by pointing my finger at their forehead - some sort of energy blast eliminates them completely. I am also not harmed at all by the firing from their weapons.

When there are still only a few of these threatening beings left, I continue to help as many people escape that I can, but it eventually seems to be not as feasible with all the different hallways and such, almost like a maze. These clever beings that have captured so many humans may still end up with several victims here and there in this other world.

I walk through the various maze-like hallways and manage to direct a few people here and there who had been standing in a longer line - usually to a small rectangular table near a wall to be “processed” or identified by the beings - instructing them on how to return to Earth. However, I am still annoyed and somewhat lost for a time - but finally, I get an unusual idea. As I am “all-powerful” in this other dimension of otherwise threatening beings, I eventually find myself with the potential to just lift up the entire maze-like dimensional construct itself somewhat like someone lifting up a camping tent over their head by the framework. After I do this, every other person in this dimension is now free of all the walls (that are now all up in the air above us all) and can just walk out through the portal to the east.

Later on, as in another (prior) recent dream, I am again transformed into mostly a very large sheet or cloth that moves about quickly in the sky above all the other people that had been freed (but not really as a “ghost” as the other people still seem to see me as a living, flying person). One person seems concerned about a potentially dangerous creature that is first thought to be a lion but turns out to be a koala in a smaller wooden cage that is joined to many other old wooden cages. This was part of an abandoned zoo on some sort of complex and narrow wooden walkway between dimensions (some sort of sub-portal just before we finally get to our real world - somewhat like the middle space within a doorway, I suppose). I also read several billboards, but can no longer remember all the phrases even though it was partially my intent to do so, mostly relating to tourist information regarding the abandoned zoo - and there is a picture of the koala (possibly the play on “Koalafornia”). I feel fantastic flying around for quite some time prior to finally waking.

    5. The Garage

      by , 05-21-2013 at 02:48 AM
First of two from the morning of 05/18/13.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #95: The Garage

I'm backing our SUV out of the driveway. As always, it's a little tight so I'm focused on what I'm doing. I catch sight of a bearded, creepy man advancing up the driveway toward the car. He makes me nervous, so I pull the car back into the garage.

Once I'm safely back in the driveway, I look back out to find that the man has vanished. Relieved, I get ready to leave again. But now Wife's car is at a funny angle that blocks me from leaving. Come on, [Wife], why would you park me in like that? I try shoving the back half of the car so it'll spin around and get out of my way. Amazingly, this works!
I'm immediately sure that I'm dreaming.

I try turning Wife's car back and forth a few more times. It spins as smoothly as if it were on a turnstyle. I think about picking it up and flipping it over but realize that there are other things I need to be doing.

I remember that I have a goal of getting to the Alamo for a shared dreaming experiment. I try to look outside and see that the garage door is closing. It's only about 3 foot away from shutting completely. Even though I should know that this doesn't present any permanent impediment, it feels important that I don't let it shut on me. I hurry to the garage entrance, flop down on my side, and log roll under the garage door.

Outside now, I get to my feet on the driveway and look around. It's a cool, clear evening and the street's quiet. No weirdo in sight. I plan to Hulk-jump to the Alamo but as I begin to make my move,
      the dream ends.
    6. Lucid Dream--Trying to exit a building

      by , 12-27-2011 at 03:28 AM
      Lucid dream 2:

I was in this building when I suddenly became lucid. It took a moment to realize that I needed to take advantage of my lucidity, so I tried to exit the building. I kept running into doors and having to open them. I was flying so I was horizontal. I came to what I knew was the last door. I also knew it was locked before I tried to open it. And sure enough, it was. I chided myself a little because I knew it didn't have to be locked. But I didn't worry about it. I immediately started ripping through the wall beside the door. I knew I had super strength and it would be fast. And it wasn't long before I had ripped through the layers of wall and had made a hole to the outside.

But I don't think I made it outside because tha is all I remember.
