    1. 16 May - Bad night with very high awareness

      by , 05-20-2021 at 12:36 AM
      comment dream lucid

      Falling asleep approx. 5
I vaguely remember having a FA in the first cycle.
Awakening, can’t sleep because I am not feeling well. Time approx. 7. Taking ibuprofen to be able to sleep.

      Double FA
I was sleeping in a long room with a bed. Then I was examining the room because I didn’t like something about it.
I wake up in our bedroom. There is a wide blue ribbon hanging in our window, decorating the curtains. At first, I remember the long room - I am not there anymore - and I realize I woke up from a dream.
Then I realize what the blue ribbon means. R wakes up too, also notices the ribbon and is confused. I tell him that it is a FA. Jokingly, because it is not real, I start to bite him like trying to eat him. But he screams like it’s real, so it isn’t funny. I want to “correct” the false awakening, focus as much as I can and wake up for real.

Time approx 9. I don’t like the stupidly wasted opportunity but I can tell that my baseline awareness tonight is high and I am confident there will be another lucid dream later.
Our cat starts doing noise, wanting to be let out of her room.
Then she gets quiet and every time I feel like falling asleep, she starts again.

      The cat problem
R went to solve the cat problem (blocking the door so she can’t scratch them and/or letting her out).
R and I are again in the long room, there is another bed this time and two more people - a well known politician and his wife.
Then there is some police activity going on and someone related to IT, there is a capable young IT guy doing something.

I wake up from the dream because the cat makes noise again!!! How is that possible, when I remember R… ok, that was a dream. But I am confused for a while. Then I tell R, who also isn’t sleeping, to go and do it for real.
      Time 10:55
I try to WILD but R next to me can’t sleep and I feel too distracted by him tossing and turning. Then I (almost) fall asleep but I wake up because I can hear his frustration - he says I was snoring. This happens once more. I don’t feel like sleeping but I know I can’t really tell…
I am getting seriously frustrated because heightened awareness means nothing when I can’t fall asleep deeply enough to be dreaming.

      Seeing squares
I am with my mother, in a room that resembles the long room from previous dreams but there is no bed this time. There are two windows, I peek through the blinds to look outside. I don’t see much the weather is bad and the visibility low. I try the second window, there should be mountains visible but I don’t see anything and my vision is bad, like there are square gaps.
I sit behind a table with my mother and parts of my vision are still like pixellated, with some squares gray, which surely isn’t normal.
I tell my mother that I think this could be a dream and she strokes my hand, looking pleased that I figured it out.
I am not 100% sure yet, more like 99% sure. I get up and run towards a distant door, focusing on how it feels and quickly getting 100% sure. As everything around me gets slightly blurry, I slow down.
As I reach the door, I decide to pass through it just because I know I can. It works like in the previous dream, the door open in the middle to let me pass through, like a double door. I do it once more with another door.
I am outside and there is a black basketball player, looking like Michael Jordan, practicing shooting. I take the ball from him to try it too. We are very far from the basket but this is a dream, so certainly I can throw further than I would in reality. I try it but the ball doesn’t go far enough and it veers off to the right. I don’t feel like I want to try again.
I stop for a moment. What am I doing? Don’t I have some goals?
I finally remember I wanted to try creating a teleport portal and going to Prague. I go back inside, to the area between the two doors, to be alone and without distractions. I create a portal with my hands, as I planned it and imagined it. No visuals of the portal but that doesn’t mean anything. I spin around to give it something more. Then I try to go through the portal, thinking “Prague”. It doesn’t work. Again, I don’t feel like trying again.
I go back to the main room, which now isn’t a small room but a big hall. There is a stall with some cakes. I just take some with my hand, ignoring the seller. I make a mess out of her cake display but whatever. As I go towards the main entrance to the hall, I try to eat the cake but it doesn’t have much taste and there is too much buttercream.

      I wake up.

      Time 12:34
I slept more after this but I don’t remember any additional dreams.

      16th April 2021

      Dream:

I am in someone else's lucid dream. It's someone I used to know, maybe L's friend, J? Not quite, but there's another friend too. It looks a bit like a small church, lots of dark stain wood. I think there's a greater proportion of wood than there is stone, I seem to recall.

Anyway, since I'm not actually lucid myself, I think about testing a theory. I think of asking my friend to give me moderator privileges as if this was a Minecraft server. But I am unable to catch up to ask him, as he moves around. So I end up trying commands by myself, like the teleport-jump to where I'm looking. The commands sort of work. Although I am unsure of how to even do this, somehow, I intuitively bind the commands to my mind or something, so no typing is required.

But I'm not lucid and yet I am reminded by all of this about a technique I read here on DV a couple of days ago. Before I try a teleport-jump or a through command, I spend a couple of seconds visualising the result a bit, but really it's too faint. It does help my non-lucid self use these commands though.

I remember this part of the dream was highly detailed but I can't recall any further about it now. Transition?

I'm in a restaurant with my family. We're leaving soon? The place seems to be mixed with old home or something. But I need to go to the bathroom. It doesn't seem especially clean in here. I try the stall, as I have privacy concerns and as I'm about to pull my pants down, I realise that there's no toilet at all in the stall, just a tiny plastic bin. Outside the stall, in the bathroom, there are only wall urinals. I exit the stall and entering the bathroom is a black woman, she has curly hair, a somewhat round but well defined face, she's about my height and probably a similar age.

I tell her I wouldn't bother with the bathroom at all, and just wait until home. She seems disappointed by this. I walk out of the bathroom.

      (recall gap)

Then I'm at my old home, but think to myself that I'm not actually there or something. (pre-lucid thought about real location?) There's just some feeling, anyway.

Me and the rest of the family are getting ready for something? It's early morning I think. Mom says dad needs some apples and I tell her I can go get them (since I feel ready anyway) and I shout for dad, asking what kind he wants. I don't remember hearing a reply back. Eventually I think about just teleporting to outside the store below. But something stops me and it just doesn't work. I remember being in my old room and seeing outside, standing from the doorway to the room. Light seems consistent with early-ish morning.

Some other sequence. I'm in some place in South America. Swamps or marshes. A flatbed ship carrying containers is on the water but there are some buildings around, sort of in an Arabic style more than a local one. I try to get on board the ship and then look for some circuit board chips? Some interactions with someone else, possibly an old friend.

Another bit, possibly the earliest sequence in the dream. A visual and physical representation of the old art website? Very vague recall of this bit. Looks sort of like a disco club, with certain elements like the web banner physically represented as a room backdrop. Someone talks to me about the computing efficiency of the VFXs being used. Vague recall of thoughts about how much I charge for commissions, feeling like it's not enough.

      Notes:
      - I was not actually "lucid" at any point throughout this dream. My dream self was somehow partly aware of this by the implied context of the dream and with the commands thing tried to devise a way of having abilities more akin to what's possible when actually lucid.

      - There are a few things here that challenge recent conscious thoughts, namely; my commission prices, my initial thoughts about the technique linked in the entry and some recent thoughts on shared dreaming. Basically the dream presented opposites for all of these things, I don't think necessarily for me to accept them but to generally think about them further.

      - Using the commands to have lucid-like abilities in the dream felt like a pretty clever idea at the time, especially since it partially worked.

      - Curiously, the church location may have been brought on by the fact that I have spent a fair bit of time with H both in real churches and in church-like buildings he's built in Minecraft.
    3. Telekenisis on airplanes, teleporting at will, Flying to the moon, proving it's a dream

by , 09-15-2020 at 07:43 AM (DJ of lucid goals and how it goes)
      Awake|Dreaming|Lucid

I just want to start with this. I had many dreams and all were long but I don't remember that much.

I'm at home and become semi lucid. I fly out the window and see two big airplanes about to crash into one another. They are about 20 meters long, one is red and the other one is blue. My pants are constantly being loose and it's hard to keep them on. I struggle with my pants for some moments but decide that it doesn't matter if I don't have any pants, it's a dream. I throw them away and isn't bothered by it for the rest of the dream. I use my telekinesis to make the airplanes change the course. I think it would be fun to see a big explosion so I fly with the big airplanes to the city and I'm looking for big buildings. The two airplanes I controlled have now turned into two big houses instead. I think it will still be a big explosion. I see four big houses and decide that I will target the two biggest of them. There is a church and another house. I lift the two houses I control up high and smash them into the two buildings on the ground. The church is not scratched at all and there is no explosion. The other house I crashed broke but there was not an explosion. I think to myself that the church was holy and therefore I could not destroy it. I fly to the ground and I want to pet a dog. I do the pet motion I would do if a dog were there. From thin air a dog is slowly coming alive. After a while I have a dog with me. I pet it for the rest of the dream.

Notes: I usually don't have this much control over big objects or being able to teleporting dogs to me. Cool dream.

I'm by church with Gustav and Klaus. I am semi lucid. I want to prove to Gustav that it's a dream so I tell him that I will take a picture of the moon on the moon. I fly to the sky, first pretty slowly but faster and faster I go. Suddenly I come to the sky and it appears the whole sky is just a hologram. The moon included. I take a picture of it and return down. When I show Gustav the picture it's not a picture of what I took. It's an orange picture of wheat or something like it. I couldn't prove it was a dream.

Notes: I wonder if the first dream with the church triggered this dream to be at our church. I have only tried to prove it's a dream to Gustav in my dreams. It has happened two or three times now.

I'm in a car with dad and he's driving. There are three turns and he fails at all of them. Accidents that could have gotten us killed. I am angry with dad because of this and he says I'm not wrong that we could have died. We arrive at some kind of tivoli/supermarket. Kalle J and Håkanssons are also there. I get some money by dad and I enter the glass house. The house has machines in it where you are supposed to put your money. I put two coins in one of the machines but don't bother to see if I got anything. I look to the left and see Kalle. I don't want to interact but he sees me and says hello. Håkanssons also come in and we greet.

Notes: I have had many dreams were people drive bad and almost crashes the car recently.

    4. Meeting a Genie

by , 09-22-2017 at 04:29 PM (My Dream World)
I think this dream occurs after a brief awakening IRL. The memory is a little hazy for this one. I'm in my grandparent's apartment at night. I think there are some other people from the family there, but I don't remember if I interacted with them. At some point, I get lucid and for some reason I remember the Task of the Month about summoning a genie and making a wish. I enter a room, expecting the lamp to be there. I find it on the stand where there used to be a TV. It looks just like you'd expect, it's a small, golden lamp.

I start rubbing the lamp until some pink, slightly purple smoke came out of it. I cannot remember very well what the genie looked like, just that it had a vaguely humanoid form. Wanting to be able to change the dream scene easily, I tell the genie "I wish to be able to travel to any place I can imagine, instantly." I don't remember exactly what the genie did, but I imagined myself in a sunny beach, and suddenly I find myself in one. I am in a sandy island in the middle of the ocean. I them imagine myself back in the apartment and I teleport there. It is daytime now.
I think the dream ends around here and I transition to a non-lucid nightmare, where I'm home at night and I pick up the phone but there is no response. I put it down and pick it up again and there is no sound. I say "Hello" and a very distorted voice mimics me. I put the phone down immediately.

I tell my uncle about this and he dismissed this saying it's my imagination and similar stuff has happened to him. He tells me about how there was a dog that appeared in the building at night and he thought it was a ghost until he caught it. I then drag him to the phone and I pick it up again. I start saying something and them a clear voice begins speaking a mix of english and jibberish at me. This startles me and I wake up

    5. Teleporting to a Tropical Island

      by , 06-03-2017 at 10:45 AM (Letaali's Dream Journal)
It's cold and gloomy in Finland, so I decide to teleport somewhere nice and end up on a beach somewhere near Brazil. I see tourists around, it's 5pm here and sun is scorching me. I'm a little worried because I burn easily, but I love the place in front of me. A tropical island, beach with a raised wooden walkway that occasionally touches sand, waterfalls and a jungle. I realize I have another ability. If I get a running start, I can launch myself in any direction and glide down. I jump up the waterfall, dive into a big pool and all that. Gliding around is great too. After a while I teleport back to Finland, to a school that doesn't look familiar. I meet Meri, a pretty girl I used to know. I tell her about my teleporting. Her expression made me feel like she didn't believe me, but she didn't say that. I teleported home too and met my dead cat, Nuka. I petted her for a moment and teleported back to the tropical island.
    6. 1/2/2016 - "Hallway to Haven"

by , 01-04-2017 at 08:41 AM (Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles)
      1/2/2017
      Dream One
      "Hallway to Haven"

I was walking through a tile and concrete hallway, metal doors and drawers lining the walls, with the feeling that someone(s) was following behind, searching for me. Eventually, while searching for somewhere to hide, I realized that I was dreaming. (Upon going to work, this afternoon, I recognized the hallway in my dream to be the parking garage hallway I normally do my reality checks in, when I'm entering or leaving the office.)

The first thing I could think of to do, with my lucidity, was touch one of the concrete structures and ground myself into the dream. Then, I decided to try and change the scenery. Since I've had pretty good luck with creating and utilizing doorways, I turned to the wall and pulled open one of the panels, imagining that there would be some other, random scene within. I don't believe I waited to see if anything showed up, visually. I just moved my head in and 'dove' into the opening, focusing on the intention to simply 'be somewhere else.'

My forward momentum turned into a headlong dive, and I immediately found myself flying over dark blue ocean in midday. I was moving at a high speed trying to keep myself above the surface of the water. I could sense the feeling of being over the ocean becoming more and more overwhelming, and the water, itself - already a strange and almost 'fake-looking' hue of opaque, navy blue - began to form long strands or tendrils, that rose up from the surface like tentacles as I flew just over it. The entire ocean looked a bit like ferrofluid, writhing and undulating beneath me, and it was starting to freak me out.

I turned to find land, and saw a large landmass in the distance, completely surrounded by water. I flew closer and saw that it was a sort of plateau, with a raised center. The entirety of the surface was covered with lush, green jungle, leading up at a gentle incline - over what seemed like a few dozen square miles - to a central point in the center that housed some sort of large castle or fortress. The closer I got to the raised structure at the middle of the landmass, the more I could see that there was something flying about it, circling over the top of the building. A dragon.

The moment I recognized this dragon for what it was, I got the feeling that there was something large coming up behind me - possibly flying, but that could have been moving through the water but standing tall enough to feel like it was breathing down my neck as I flew. Still flying to the island, now trying to escape what was behind me more than what was in front, I saw that all of the color from the jungle trees and tropical landscape was beginning to 'drain' down off of the mountainous incline upon which the building sat. All of the greens and purples, browns and reds that made up the jungle beneath me now began to run like dyed water, down to the ocean that surrounded the island. (It reminded me very much of the painted field from What Dreams May Come, but after someone would have thrown a glass of water on it.)

I don't remember ever touching down on the island or making it to the building.

      Dream Fragment Two
I was at someone's house, cooking. Standing in the kitchen, I spontaneously remembered that I was just lucid dreaming, a moment ago. I became lucid, again, and felt kind of stupid that I'd gone from lucid dreaming to spending a dream cooking. Before I could really think of anything else to do with my lucidity, I woke up.

    7. #202. Rock Climbing

by , 08-21-2015 at 05:18 PM (Things to Run Away From Really Fast)
That stupid carpet. We're at a new house (again!) and we're talking about pulling up the carpet because it's in rooms that it really shouldn't be in.

      ---

Wanting to give a talk for authors at the library. My dream mixes up two people that I know in real life.

      ---

I'm walking through an American university campus. Apparently there's a new trend where entrepreneurs rent out chairs for five bucks. The chairs come with cherries, and there's something to do with cheese? You might be sitting on it, though.

The cherries look pretty meh, and a lot of the people around think it's silly because the whole point is to go for a walk with your chair and then find a good space to hang out. Who wants to walk? And they only take cash.

I go to walk away from the chairs, but the lady manning the chair-pile clears her throat and I realize that I'm hanging onto one of the chairs. I put it back in the chair pile, but she keeps glaring at me and I realize that I'm also carrying a chair in my other hand. I put it back.

On the edge of the chair booth, there's a short plastic fence blocking a steep, steep hill. I decide to hop over the fence, but I have a little bit of trouble with it. The chair-lady moves her chair a bit to let me pass. I get over the fence and I'm falling, bounce partway down the hill and land at the bottom, going into a roll. I have enough momentum that I keep running out of the roll, onto the sidewalk and—

Near miss. A bus almost hits me as it goes around the corner. I laugh, exhilarated, and keep running. If I run through the park, it will be cool enough despite the hot day.

I keep running, and eventually find myself at a library. I go into the building, heading towards the climbing wall (because there's always a climbing wall in libraries.) I'm going to climb it without ropes.

At this point, I stop and say "I'm dreaming. I know I'm dreaming," mostly so that when I do my challenges, my waking self will know that I'm allowed to claim the points.

I jump onto the wall and take the first few holds, moving upwards and then along a "ceiling" that juts out from the wall.

Up and around, and I'm counting as I go "six moves, seven moves, eight moves."

I'm two-thirds of the way up the wall.

I change gears, moving over to the "hard" side on the left. The final moves require you to move out from the wall and hang, unsupported by your legs. They look scary—the theme involves jutting teeth and wild colours.

I reach for the final moves: "fourteen, fifteen—"

And with a wild swing, I push out from the wall and barely keep my grip—

"Sixteen!" I shout, and let myself drop.

At the bottom of the wall, a man working for the library/climbing wall wants to know whether I thought it was too easy (but I tell him that I'm kind of playing on cheat mode, and it's fine). He asks about the first few moves on the "basic" side, and I tell him that they're perfect.

Next on my list: teleporting. I focus on the neighbouring house that I want to use for my Week 1 Comp task, and fwoosh—

Find myself pushed back into the waking world.
    8. Beach Time! (LD #22)

      by , 06-30-2015 at 04:12 PM (Sharpshoey's Lucid Journey)
      June 28, 2015

I did SSILD before this dream which may have made it a little bit more vivid, but I don't think that was the reason I got lucid. It might've raised my awareness to figure out I was dreaming, but I don't think that mattered because I was basically told I was dreaming by the dream. I had like an hour of insomnia after doing SSILD for some reason (usually I fall right asleep with SSILD) but I still got the lucid!

I am inside a video game that I'm playing with some friends. Apparently we are playing Boom Beach and we are all working together to take down a bunch of bases. I was using a mix of Bazooka girls and the big machine gunners (I had tried using those IWL when I used to play and they never really worked out that great).

"Wow, I never knew that these troops were so good!", I said to a dude next to me as I was directing my troops.

I saw from above 3d images of our troops just flooding into different tiny bases. I had the thought that if I wasn't working with other people I wouldn't have near as many troops so I probably wouldn't do good at all. I made my way to the back of the room where a tiny analog clock was. There was a giant digital orange wall and on it there was a video chat up with 4 blue digital boxes and people's faces in the (I can't find a picture of it but I remember it from some video games that I've played). One person who didn't look real (maybe anime?) said something about how dreams and this video game connected. something like, "It's a good thing that we are all dreaming so we can play this game together." Immediately I searched my mind for what that means.

      "I can't be in a dream." I thought.

However, I was getting suspicious enough now that I did a nose RC and could breath, but when I did it a second time to make sure my air got blocked halfway. I then decided I better check my hands and on my left I had
nine fingers and I'm not sure how many were on my right hand. I stayed calm and actually remembered to stabilize! I rubbed my hands together and felt the friction. Then I brought it up to my face and looked at it. It seemed to be the most vivid I have seen them in any dream so far, and they also had a slight glow to them it seemed because they were a little bright. I touched the wall and could feel the little bumps in it. I proceed into my parent's room as I was right next to it and I wanted to go outside. I was about to open the window when I stopped. I probably got this idea from a podcast I listened to from Sensei the day before on teleportation. I wanted to go to the beach so I imagined I was actually at a resort and the beach was right outside. Immediately the color coming through the window curtain changed from normal light to a light blue. I realized I succeeded because light blue was the color of the ocean (Going to the beach was not a dream goal currently. It used to be when I first started, but it's not high on my to-do list now. I think I decided to go because in my MILD I imagined I was at a beach and I flew from there). I then open up the window and step out onto the roof of my house. I take in my surrounding and I see a tall lifeguard tower with an attractive female lifeguard on top of it looking out. She has her back turned to me and she was bent over, so I didn't really take in many other things around me I keep looking at her and notice her skin changes from tan to black and then back to tan. At this time I also feel the dream destabilizing so I yell,

      "Stabilize!" and then, "Clear!"

I feel the dream become stable again which gives me some relief as I do not want this dream to end prematurely. I then have an urge to have *cough* with the lifeguard. It's a high enough level LD that I realize that this would be mad for my lucidity and I try to fight it. My fight is to weak though, so I look for an escape. I look towards the beach and it is now just a narrow sandy driveway with a square tiny pond at the end that looked a little deeper than a puddle. I rationalize that since the beach looks so boring now I might as well spend some time with the lifeguard. She started walking over to me and unbuttons her top. Underneath I see a green and purple poke-a-dot bikini. Her face changes and I see now she is actually Kim Kardashian. I don't want to do it out here though so I look for another place. Inside the lifeguard tower there is a bed so I want to go there. She just keeps on coming to me though and t seems she just wants to get it done out here. I give in because now I feel the dream is about to fall apart so I don't have much time left. I need to do it as fast as possible. She gets over to me and I grab her to bring her down next to me and as she gets right next to me
      I wake up.

After waking I wished I would've went into the pond to see what was down there. My dream might've created an entire underground world that I could've explored and the dream would've probably lasted longer. I need to learn to control my urges better in dreams, but I'm assuming that will come when I'm getting more lucids and experience. I didn't remember to fly in this dream or else I could have jumped off the roof to get away from the girl too. This was a very fun and vivid dream and it seemed like it lasted a good length of time...so I'm OK with the result!

Also, I notice that LD's #18 and 19 aren't posted in this DJ. I looked back in my workbook and I got those right around the time that I took my long break, and I don't think I ever wrote them down and if I did I wouldn't know where to look. I do remember a tiny fragment of one but it's not worth it to type out I don't think. I do wish I would have recorded them, so that kinda sucks.
    9. My Fifth Visit

      by , 09-04-2014 at 05:50 AM
      My Fifth Visit
      9/3/14
I can't remember where the dream began. I remember searching everywhere in the dream world looking for Lin in a hurry before I woke up. I asked some people, and looked at some girls closely to see if they were her. I kept saying, "Lin!," but they were very confused and one asked how I got there. One girl had her eyes and I asked who she was. She said a name and I asked several questions to know more about her but she kept leading me in circles. I decided not to waste time with her and left. I was outside of the school then and was by a field where some people were playing soccer. I just remembered another dream I had where people were playing soccer. I was so lucid, I was able to actually think about dream in my head and think, "Oh yeah, I remember that one." I looked around to see if she was watching with the crowd and couldn't find her. I then thought I should go ask one of them to see if they knew. (How the heck should they know? Or know who? I'm in control of this story along with my dream so of course they could know!) I asked one man sitting at the game and he said she was at another school in West Valley. The school I was at was a high school, very identical to an elementary school I went to that had a playground of two other schools I know mixed together. (I didn't fully pay any mind to that oddity until now.) West Valley was miles away and I had to figure out how to see her. My teleporting ability wasn't very good and I knew that from experience from other dreams. If I tried it, I would have possibly lost lucidity, ended somewhere completely off radar, and the last time I tried it, (the very same morning of this dream), I ended up being blind since that was an apparent side affect of attempting teleportation. My next idea was, "Maybe I should try to summon her with magic." I think it was a hilarious moment because out of desperation, I imagined holding out my hand and making blue star-like dust rise from the ground to make her appear. I was very doubtful about it working but I gave it a shot. I held out my hand towards the ground and to my surprise, it happened EXACTLY how I imagined it! There she was, but walking in a different direction, because apparently while she was walking in school, I was summoning her and she then stopped a bit confused. (I thought that was also hilarious) Right then, as if it was it were completely normal that I had done that, she asked, looking at our reflection in the school doors we were standing by, "Are you taller than me?" She completely ignored the fact that I brought her there with magic but it was the logic of the dream world. Her voice was completely different this time. Instead of the oriental accent she had the first time we met, she had an english accent. We stood next to each other and I told her, "No, we're exactly the same." For a moment she shrunk a little and went back to normal, a little glitch in the dream world. We then just walked to class. It seemed my timing to enter the dream world was a little inconvenient since apparently, it was her class time. As we sat in class, I watched her for a bit and just sat there thinking it was amazing to just sit in this world and consciously think about just being able to sit there in that class. I looked at her again and she was playing a joke in class with a fake mustache and beard and the teacher told her (or him, because I think at this point it was some random guy sitting next to me in her place) to move seats. I woke up around that time.

      Random moments:
I was in paralysis trying to figure out what dream I wanted while sort of weirding myself out with the odd sounds I heard around me that sounded like laughing again. (My paralysis is usually accompanied with weird laughing in the background for some reason.) I was able to control the levels of etheric energy high and low. I wanted a dream of Lin like I planned so I released myself from the paralysis, got my phone, looked at her picture, and then actually went back into paralysis!

I was blind after trying to teleport for some reason. I heard voices and all sorts of things around me. I then started seeing a guy come into view and he had crazy white eyes and smiling at me. I said "Okay, I think now i'm starting to see again." He laughed and faded from view as I lost focus.
    10. Possession and a basketball game

A powerful old dead woman who I'd known when she was alive has possessed a young girl I know, a friend's kid, in high school. She's essentially holding the kid hostage in order to make some demand of me, and I'm refusing her. Another girl, a friend of the possessed one, can't understand why I won't just give in to the dead woman's demands and save her friend, she's very distraught. There's some weapon or power source that used to be sealed away in the ground, and I'm threatening to reseal it, so the dead woman won't be able to access it. She thinks I'm bluffing, because that'd be bad for me too, but I'm willing to do it. She says to me that I don't appreciate the strain she's putting this body under; she's using magic constantly at a level that may seem reasonable to me and her, but which is unsupportable for a kid like this, she'll burn out if it continues.

As the same character, I'm walking across a high school gym, intending to get some coffee. It's after school hours, and there's a group of kids here playing basketball. They keep disappearing and reappearing, teleporting short distances. I'm thinking of it as one of those games with rules that only kids understand, and thinking how great it is to see them given a chance to just come together and play around like normal kids. In the hall on the other side of the gym, I meet up with a guy in a suit and trenchcoat who's also watching the game. He says something along the lines of "I can't believe you (pl.) were able to find so many."

    11. 5th Lucid (waking up in bed, zooming vision)

by , 08-13-2013 at 04:25 PM (The Redeeming Dreamer)
      8/13/2013

      Key:
      Lucid Dream
      Waken Up
      Non-lucid Dream

I did a WBTB and partly a MILD for this. I also went to sleep upstate in an RV.

I woke up in my bed at home. I did a reality check by putting my hand up to the window to observe my hands. There wasn't enough light to see, so I tried to do something, and I ended up having my vision zoom in. I saw I was in a dream. Though I never stabilized the dream, and I wasn't very aware, it lasted for a pretty good amount of time. After realizing I was dreaming, I levitated out of bed and tried to fly out the window. For some reason, I couldn't get through. I had to really concentrate to make it through. Even then, I ended up teleporting to some warehouse. I found myself running to get to a portal at the other end of the warehouse. I was also shooting at people with a "hand" gun, and they were dying. :/ When I went through the portal, I got to my backyard on the other side of the window, right in front of the deck. I started petting my dog Ti, who was right next to me. At that point the dream faded, and I woke up in my bed at home again. I thought I was actually awake now, and thus didn't do a reality check. I actually think I went through a few false awakenings like that, before waking up for real.

    12. Ups and downs [Lucid!]

      by , 08-08-2013 at 05:01 PM
Isn't it funny how after I had a lucid dream I had two nights without anything?

      Welp, now I had another.

      Oh, mind...

It started off with me in Africa with some cousins (We don't have any cousins in Africa, weirdness..). We were walking around a market and bought a watermelon then went on our way. I remember carrying two slices out of five. We came along a mud puddle and we jumped in it. For no reason.

      *Memory blindness*

We then came to an intersection. To the left was a slight hill leading back to the marketplace, the front and back were a dirt road. On the left there was a small forest that ended a couple yards ahead. The sky was mostly cloudy, with some patches gray. It was raining.
We met with some guy who was chubby, short, white, and had glasses. Everyone started talking to him except for me, my brother, and my younger cousin. He looked to be about 6 by the way.

I started thinking about this trip. And how the airline ride went. Then I realized; there was no airline trip. I thought I just might have forgotten it, but then I did thought about doing a RC. Then my aunt said "Oh no, I can breathe, its a dream! We're not real!"
I did and RC for myself, and I could breathe! I started thinking about all this stuff I wanted to do, and the task of the month and all.

My mind, kind of got overwhelmed. I could feel it too, that anxiety of wanting to do things. The sky started flashing different colors. I started to remember the DV podcast, then I remembered the "Making out with the ground" trick.
      Welp.
I layed down and started, uh, making out with the ground. I will admit, it took my mind off dreaming, I guess because you can't see anything, just dirt. Plus your preoccupied with thinking it'll work. The sky stopped flashing, and everyone looked like they didn't know a thing.

I figured I would go to France. No particular reason. I just haven't gone there before. I then tried to teleport but instead my mind brought up a map of the world. I punched France with my fist, and it took me too another map with a map of France. I popped Paris and it made me turn right. It all seemed like a really badly made video game, but it seemed to do the trick. I walked out, and I could see the Eiffel tower! I was a long ways away though, so I tried to teleport again.

But as we all know, for me, teleporting twice is a death sentence.

My eyes in real life quickly opened, then I realised what I'd done and tried to fall asleep again.

      ly it didn't work.
    13. Doing lots of stuff [Lucid!]

So the dream starts out with me walking home. Some guy pulls up in a truck. He looked sort of shady and he was carrying a gun. I then started trying to wake myself up.

Then I realized, wait, I'm trying to wake myself up? I tried to imagine the guy turning into some sort of a gummy bear. It worked, but it was more like a pile of green mush.

At this point I'm really exited, I start to remember the task of the month. Which is teach a DC something you don't know how to do. My thoughts were, my mom was a DC, so I would teach her something. I flew over to her work, then realized it was night time. I closed my eyes and tried to imagine the world being light out. It worked! My mom was pulling up in her van.

I stopped her at the door and said "I'm going to get you a better job, you hate your job." This was true, she complains about her job a lot. She smiled and said OK. We both got in the car and she started driving. She passed her grandparents on the street, and said "I'm going to be a flutist ". So then the problem of finding out something for her to do was over. I don't know a clue about the flute.

As we were driving down (it seemed like a short time) she veered off into the woods. I started freaking out but she remained un-phased as we flew through trees.

      Yes. Through them.

I closed my eyes, for no apparent reason, then opened them just as quickly. We were in a new place! I had teleported! I then tried it again, only ending up at the same spot we were at 5 seconds ago. I tried it one more time, this time imagining a music place...

      And then I woke up.

      Damn it.

I guess I learned my lesson about how NOT to teleport.

      But hey! I did:
      Transform someone
      Fly
      Dilate time
      Go through things
      And teleport!

Oh, and fail at a task of the month.

      Seems pretty good to me.

    14. 7/19/13 - sneaking/sinking

by , 07-19-2013 at 09:17 PM (Leaving the matrix)
I'm with and older cousin and her husband and children. We're in front of this gate that leads to this disneyland/college campus, but my cousin seems irritated that there is a women in a toll booth looking thing saying that it's not free anymore and that we have to pay to get in. So we start walking away, the toll booth lady gets distracted, and I see my cousin running into the gate opening so we all follow her in. then I walk off a little and the scene turns into like a costco store and I find the purple beach cruiser that my sister had as a child and I get on it and ride around a few aisles and I see a boy riding a blue version of the beach cruiser and we laugh because we both know we shouldn't be riding the bikes around the store, we decide we want to check out the other bikes for sell because we're more into bmx bikes. We get to the bike section but there's all these different acoustic guitars for sell there. We stand there confused wondering where the bikes are as an employees approaches us and tells us we can't ride bikes in the store so we ride away around some more aisle and find more bikes, they spread out one or two every aisle it's strange. And the bikes I find are ugly mountain/bmx bike hybrid looking things with 90's paint job on them. Then next thing I know me and the boy are getting ready to teleport or something, something big, and he tells me to sit in a chair and wait for the woman to come, when she comes she teleports the boy one body part at a time, next she does me, I sit in the chair and she sees my face and freaks out so I run off and she chases me and now we're running around this pool that is in the middle of nowhere, like a opening in a huge corn field, I threaten her that I'll jump in the water, so I do and I sink, then I get pulled to the shallow end by her and the boy, and now there's lots of other people there in the pool and out of the pool just watching the situation.
    15. Flying, Webslinging, Telekinesis, and Teleporting

      by , 11-14-2012 at 08:11 PM
      10/19/2012

So this dream started out without me being lucid. I don't really remember much of the beginning. It was something about my brother getting caught smokin weed at my apartment. The dream then turned to me going on a date with an old girlfriend on a pirate ship that was also a fancy restaurant. At this point I realized I was dreaming because there is no way I'd ever go out with that crazy girl again. At this point I became lucid. I flew off of the pirate ship and searched for a major city with skyscrapers. I wanted to try out webslinging like Spiderman does. I was able to do this but not as smoothly as I would have liked, partly due to lack of enough skyscrapers. After I tried that I started teleporting successfully which was cool but not as much fun as flying. I then tried, successfully, to turn my fingers into tools ie screwdrivers, knives, blowtorch etc. May come in handy at some point. I then tried to iceslide like Iceman from X-men but it was not successful. I pretty much just made everything wet. Need to work on that one.
