    1. Impossible Creatures

by , 09-27-2015 at 05:32 PM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
      #469 - DEILD - 4:56AM

I slightly wake up from some dream involving an intelligent humanoid-hippopotamus creature resembling something Patricia Piccinini would have created. I didn't even find it all that odd. It was like a pet.

I lucidly relax back into a dream where I am in some mixture of my job and a gym. I look around and marvel how vivid the dream is. There is no one around so I call out. My voice is loud and echoes a bit. No one comes and I decide to just explore. Unfortunately, I wake up.

I decide it's not time to wake up and visualize walking. In a few seconds I see that I am walking on sand. I reach down and grab a handful. I squeeze feeling the soft crunch and then relax letting it trickle away. This new dream happens so fast that I find myself not thinking I am really in a dream. I feel it's just heavy HI. I'm wrong, of course, but I just tell myself it will all come together as I go along and let the thought go.

Perhaps I relax my concentration a bit too much because now I have the idea stuck that I was trying to capture Sasquatch by stacking large logs across a wooded path. I suppose I was standing on a sandy beach because now I see the sand ending at a wooded hiking trail. I see I have already cut a log so I heft it on my shoulder and march ahead. I am looking for the spot that I want to stack logs but the trail has opened up too much and it's all sandy again. I feel myself struggle as I move uphill. I decide I am working too hard. Since this is a dream I can always take shortcuts. Suddenly I am at the top of the hill and see a good spot to stack the log. I decided my work is already done and now I see a wall of logs across the trail. The idea is to get Sasquatch to chase me and somehow crash into the logs, knocking it out. Whatever.

I look to my right and see a log cabin with smoke coming out of the chimney. I turn to go check it out, but some strange creature comes out of the doorway. It looks animal-like, but also resembles a garlic cluster with legs. I have a mix of first and third person view as the garlic thing runs at me and bowls me over. I get up and run but a second garlic thing comes out and cuts me off. Suddenly, two new creatures resembling a mix of Groot and an ostrich comes out to battle the garlic things. I decide this is just the distraction I need to get away. I turn to run, suddenly wake up.

I recall another super long non-lucid dream where I go have my wife's wedding ring cleaned. I talk to the jeweler a long time as he polishes a huge golden trophy. I don't understand his words and he calls me out on it. When I leave I have a white pickup that runs slow. A lot of pedestrians block my way out and I get lost in some impossible labyrinth of a parking garage. Then I am under a house spending a huge amount of time looking for a lost ring with confusing structures. When I find it I am at my ex wife's parents house. The ring glows when I put my finger in it. I decide its some sort of toy so I go find my girls to give it to them. I look into the bright purple light that consumes me in a white light. I wake up.

    2. Repeating a journey

      by , 05-12-2015 at 08:49 PM
I'm walking out of a large red tent in the woods. In the previous scene I'd been having some kind of argument with two guards who work for me, but we were interrupted by a man who's now following me out of the tent, someone who I have some kind of deal with. He'd mentioned my son. I want to continue the conversation more privately.

Deeper in the woods, there's no underbrush, and the ground's covered in old fallen leaves. I drop the illusion I'd been using. I've been borrowing the identity of the man those guards used to work for, some kind of ruler, dead now. Without that illusion, there's a sort of shadow over my skin, like a photo overlaid by an image of something else - I (correctly) remember that I've used that specific comparison before in another dream; though I don't remember the details until after I wake up, I'm aware the parallel's intentional.

I'm dismissing whatever the other man has just said, angry. I tell him, "I swore to make this journey a thousand times, but you - you didn't uphold your part, did you?"

    3. Dark Spirit (NLD fragment)

      by , 04-03-2015 at 07:05 PM
Recall: 1/10. WTB 4am, woke 10am. All night on waking I had the impression of complex dreams but could not recall even the broad outlines. At one point there was a fragment of Japanese in my head: play between the words "iro iro" (which I think means "various") and "iru" (infinitive of "to be"). After final sleep had the vague impression of seeing places on a map, and was sure that I had dreamed something urban and apocalyptic... but I cannot seem to find the thread.

10:45am. Took a shower, still trying to remember. At first I thought the hot water was a distraction, but after a few minutes something flashed into mind and I murmured: "I was in the woods."

I was in the woods. There was at least one other person, and we were digging for something. And then another entity approached us. I have the impression that he usually drove a horse and carriage, but at the time of our encounter he was on foot. I recognized him as something terrifying and supernatural. He had a name, the everyday kind some boogeymen develop in folklore, consisting of an adjective and a common first name. The adjective might have been "dark"; I don't remember the name. I have the impression he had a stunted body, a normal-sized male torso on short and shriveled legs.

When I saw this creature on the forest path, I recognized the terror and danger he represented, and then the strangest thing happened: on a whim, I ran up and hugged him! And as this was happening, I was thinking wryly to myself, "If I were lucid, would I dare to do this? I don't think so!" Somehow I managed to have this thought without being lucid in the slightest—I guess you could say it was dream awareness without memory or agency. However, there might have been a touch of dream memory, even if WL memory was absent: my comment was in reference to an incident that occurred several years when I was lucid, and my intended task was to approach a fae spirit, but the one I glimpsed in the distance was so creepy that all she did was glance in my direction and I started running away as fast as I could!

    4. Desertion in the making

      by , 03-12-2015 at 07:50 PM
I'm disembodied, following a man as he walks out of a stone fortress through a side door. He's upset. I'm trying to mentally push him into making a choice that he doesn't see yet - there's a group of people staying at this fortress, and when they leave, I want him to leave with them. I need him working with them, and he'll be much happier as well. It only hasn't occurred to him yet because that would be desertion, which I think of as a minor nuisance. He's in a position of command in this semi-military, semi-religious order, a position he'd never wanted, and I've been mentally pushing him to focus on all the ways he feels trapped here.

The fortress is surrounded by an evergreen forest, and there's a little snow here and there. He stops right outside the door, believing that he's just getting some air. He's thinking about that group traveling through that I want him to leave with, and thinking about how his order can't show emotion, contrasting it with that group. He's looking at something on the ground that I can't see, and he's thinking that he'd be crying right now if he was capable of it.

I push him to walk further from the door - he thinks of it as walking aimlessly, but I have a direction in mind. There's several tables set up from something going on here during the day, mostly empty now. He looks over the devices assembled on one of them - he doesn't understand how any of them work, but he feels like he's spent all day protecting this stuff from overly curious onlookers, and managing the nobility, and running errands for the great and the good - it seems completely ridiculous to him that this is his life. It's the opposite of where he ever expected to be.

He keeps walking. I make sure he focuses on the little pool of blood on the stone ground here, a dozen or so dead crows around it, deliberately placed in a certain formation. One of his men had called it "a battlefield for crows" earlier. He has absolutely no idea what this disgusting thing is for, it's just one more thing he's had to keep people away from today. As he's looking at it, he sees someone standing at the edge of the woods. He's startled; at first glance, it looks like the man who used to be in command here, who'd moved on a few months ago and left him in charge. He feels relieved - and by feeling the extent of that relief, he's just now become really aware of just how much weight's been on his shoulders since that man left. But then the person moves and breaks the illusion. It's not him.
    5. (March 5, 2015) Truck crash

      by , 03-06-2015 at 06:55 AM
      March 5, 2015

I was driving down some very twisting a winding country roads on a small mountain in my truck. The rounds had tight turns almost one right after another. It was in a pine forest with the uphill side on our right and the downhill side on our left. For some reason it was extremely difficult to see out my window, like it was fogged up beyond belief, or the glass just distorted the images coming through. Also i was on the right side of the vehicle(normally my passenger side) driving rather than the left, which I found strange but didnt become lucid. I tried turning the defroster on, and opening a window to clear it up but it didnt work. Eventually after not being able to see and the turns being to sharp to turn on safely, the truck rolled over on its side, then its roof. I got out and looked around and had no injuries. I was in a big pine tree forest standing on a dirt road. I saw a cell tower but as i got close it fell and some kid ran away who had cut it down. I eventually decided i needed to move to get cell service and walked through the trees and made it to a busy highway. I called 911 and told them what was going on but they were of little help. Once I told him i was at "Cedar Falls" he stopped for a moment and said that would be difficult to get there.I stopped by the highway and these people started throwing berries at me for some reason. I didn't get mad at them, i just kept calm. It was weird at first but they were nice and could help after I explained my situation. I started walking back to the vehicle and went to call the county sheriff but my phone was dead! (Somewhere in here i lost part of the dream)

I was hanging out at my Fraternity's Annex property and the rooms didn't look at all like they should be. There was a lot of clutter, like clothes lying around, a big red carpet, a fish tabks, and i was on a bed with a black blanket on it. The room was square in shape. I was just talking to some friends, not sure who, when one of my other "sort of" friend came in and asked if i wanted to go swimming at a lake and i said sure after some time to talk about it. I spent a lot of the dream looking for the right clothes for swimming that were decently warm because i remembered its cold out. I left the Annex and went back to the main house. In the front yard at lot of people were playing some kind of sport, maybe whiffle ball. I got into the main house and everything looked as it should at first, but when i went into my room it did not look like my room but i didn't become lucid, even though i stared at a feature and questioned it but passed it off as normal. I was still looking for the right clothes but then i woke up. Thats twice in this dream i questioned something and passed it off as normal. Its more progress

    6. Shapeshifters

      by , 02-21-2015 at 11:52 PM
My brother is lying in fetal position on the ground, out in the woods, blood on his hands up to his elbows, just now returned to human form and very out of it. There's a girl with him. In the previous scene they'd been on a date in a restaurant, and she'd already known he wasn't human, and that he was violent - she'd gotten some kind of thrill out of it. But now that she's actually seeing the reality of it for herself, she's yelling at him, and being horrified by the blood on her own hands where she'd touched him. I'm watching from a distance, and I'd intended to give them privacy, but now that I've seen her reaction I'm disgusted by her - and disgusted by his behavior too, but that's not unusual. I allow her to see me and I go to get my brother on his feet.

Another time. I'm standing next to that same girl, making sure she doesn't do anything to interfere. We're watching a friend of hers go through a sort of rite of passage. She's standing in the woods, holding a sickle. Some variety of large wild cat walks out of the woods. The girl is supposed to kill that cat, but she doesn't move - she can't do it. The cat kills her instead. The cat then returns to her human form; her animal form was supposed to be passed down through her death.

Another time. A mistake's been made and we're going to need to allow one of our people to go to prison. An older man is offering to take the fall for her - he's been in prison before and he thinks it would be better this way. The youngest of us says there has to be some way to avoid this - none of us can leave this territory anyway, so a prison seems pointless to her.
    7. Land of the Dead

by , 02-17-2015 at 04:14 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was a spirit. Dead? I'm on the "other side." I was looking for someone. I saw accidents but they look more like a picture: still and unmoving.

I found a woman. I went back to the world of the living with her. We had to go through a "portal." It's not a whirling "hole" on the air though. It's like... a field, where everything is hazy, where the land of the living and the dead overlap. I saw the place where the woman will end up, in a camp in the middle of the woods. I thought of how it will be difficult for her to go back to her life since she's already about to be buried. While thinking this, I saw another woman, older than her, inside a tent. The older woman is stopping her from going back. I had to fight her. I used a spear. Eventually, she got torn apart, with her face on a paper/poster on the door (to our garage). I tore it a bit more before opening the door and going outside.

I was outside a mall. I looked for people I know. They're in the cinema. I went in. There was a talk. I saw Arfel and I talked to him. He looked sheepish for some reason. I went outside. I was in SM Megamall, right in front of EDSA. It's night.
    8. Eyes of wolves, lax system of magic, liars

      by , 02-03-2015 at 10:42 PM
A man came across a woman seemingly sleeping in the forest, but when he approached her she spoke quietly, asking him to kill her quickly and to leave her mother alive, so that her mother could continue to feed the others. He's shocked by this, but that's because he's under the impression she's human. She's a wolf, she only looks human. She knows he came there to hunt them.

She's speaking to her mother, also human-appearing, and says she wants her next lesson to be that lesson - the implication is she's decided to marry that hunter.

The hunter speaking with two other men, also hunters, one of them saying, "You can't stay married to that madwoman."

The hunter sitting in the forest, chanting a prayer or a spell that talks about the eyes of the wolves. Although the rest of the dream had been in English, he's speaking Spanish here. As he chants, the forest around him seems to change - the shadows become darker, the moonlight becomes brighter, patches of glowing fungi appear around him. He's amazed and enchanted by all of this. He's not aware of this, but from my disembodied perspective, he himself also looks different - his eyes are faintly glowing gold, and there's a sort of shadow over him, as if looking at a photograph of him overlaid with a photo of something else. Behind him, a pile of vines and undergrowth heaves upward into the form of some great beast - he's delighted by everything now but I'm sure he'll be afraid when he sees this.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

I'm talking with a wizard from another world over tea. He's brought some of his people here as a sort of emergency hideout, and he's concerned about them picking up bad habits while they're here, to the extent that he's got them camped out at the bottom of the hill instead of in the house with me. He describes my form of magic as 'lax' and not something he wants spread to his people, which I find ridiculous for all sorts of reasons - for starters, when we'd first met he'd been seeking my help with some murderous wannabe dark lord type. I'd put a compulsion on the man to prevent him from taking human lives, which seemed such an obvious solution, I can't believe he couldn't manage it on his own. And really, as far as I can tell his world's form of magic just requires you to say the right nonsense words in the right order to express what you want, so if you're going to talk about laxness and discipline, that seems lax as hell to me.

But in any case, while we're talking about the arrangements for his people, two guys from my world come into the room. They're trying to avoid getting into trouble with their boss - they'd claimed to be unable to carry out some duty on account of being busy elsewhere, which was a lie. Now their boss is on his way to the house and will certainly sense their presence, and since I've already got a portal open, I wouldn't mind if they ducked through until the coast is clear again, would I? Fine, fine, I wave them through. That wizard objects strongly, but for crying out loud, those two aren't going to corrupt your world's magic system in a few hours, it'll be fine.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

In the American western desert, me and an older man are standing next to a car, watching a group of police vehicles pull up. We're going over a few last details before we talk to them. At the moment I'm telling him about a body I'd left floating in a pool of a private home. I see a mental image of it as I describe it, struck by the way his legs had stayed bent underneath him even as he started to float in the water. That older man says he already knew about that one. That's everything then.

He says there's a saying, "The liar does two steps worse." Do I know why that is?

I say I don't know, but then I look where he's looking. His family's just gotten out of one of those police cars - his wife, his daughter, and the daughter's boyfriend. They're looking around, haven't seen us yet with all the confusion around the scene downhill. It's clear to me they're the meaning of that saying. Lie to the people you care about and you lose them even if you're still physically present - you've separated part of yourself from them.
    9. A ghost story, no life is cheap, a tango

      by , 01-25-2015 at 12:04 AM
I'm being told a story. There's a man, a shapeshifter who can seem to be anyone, but when he smiles you see the shards of glass filling his mouth, grotesquely. I see the moment he'd died, falling from a horse and landing on a glass bottle full of something he'd been carrying, shattering it.

The story shifts to the woman he'd loved when he was alive. She was called a witch, and a mob took her and chained her to a tree in the forest, with a circle of some kind of wooden pegs placed in the ground to prevent the body from leaving that spot after death. Her body's left there without her head. I 'hear' the body briefly feel a dim sort of awareness of the presence of something familiar and loved nearby.

Over time, the body comes loose from the chains as it decomposes, sinks into the ground and is covered by - I hear the word 'loam', but I'm seeing moss growing over the body. The arms separate from the rest and hang from the chains. At one point, a horse that had belonged to her while she was alive comes to the tree and noses at those decaying arms, and they reach out and pat it. At another time, the body rises up from the ground and seems to dance, with those arms dancing along as if they were still attached - slightly altering how my vision works, I can see dark strings which would be invisible, manipulating the body like a puppet. That man with the mouth full of glass shards is pulling the strings.

Later, a scene in which I'm using Mephisto as a pseudonym.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

On a ship after some incident in which several of the crew died, the captain came to me privately to ask a question. He's under the mistaken impression that I can see the future. I don't see the future, I just have more memories to draw on to recognize old patterns playing out again. The captain asks, essentially, whether any of those who died were important - he uses the word 'cheap.' I say to him, "No life is cheap." He acknowledges that this was poor phrasing, but "I need to know-"

As he speaks, I see a go board. The point is made that certain moves will have a drastic impact on the outcome of the game, and others won't. The captain needs to know if any of the people we lost would have been necessary for this journey to succeed, in ways he can't foresee himself.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

I'm looking at paintings hanging on a wall, a series mostly depicting figures of the zodiac, with one in the center of a man labeled Dream.

I'm meeting with a man named Snow who'd initially tried to conceal his identity from me. He's disappointed to find I recognized him immediately. The persona he'd put on for me was this sort of affable type; the real Snow is - well, he gives the impression of being intimidating but I'm not personally intimidated, I'm just enjoying watching how complete his transformation is.

The majority of the scene after that reveal consists of a tango, during which he leads - which is different, but I find I have no difficulty following. Great fun. He's proposing some kind of deal - there's something about him recognizing the way I've been challenging myself, and how working for him would be beneficial for both of us, something about working for a greater cause, a sense of direction - but when the tango's over and he wants an answer, I just start laughing. Man, have you got the wrong guy. I'm thoroughly enjoying every aspect of his presentation - the intimidating attitude, the seriousness of the deal he's proposing, the song and dance, his whole look - it's all incredibly appealing, but I have no intention of taking it seriously.

    10. Semi-reformed

      by , 01-23-2015 at 12:08 AM
I'm a passenger in a woman's car. She's a friend, but now I'm discovering she's tricked me. She stops the car in an unfamiliar driveway - not where I thought we were going - and there's a man in the yard, tall, heavyset, long hair, in need of a shave. I don't know him, but I recognize that he's one of the species that my species is designed to hunt. I resent my friend for tricking me into this - I'd quit hunting them. My friend disagrees with me quitting, so she's forced me into this situation. The man sees me and recognizes what species I am; he runs away, and I automatically chase him without thinking about it.

He ran inside the house. I stop at the door - I'm not sure whether I followed him in order to kill him or to explain that I'm not going to kill him. Since I can't see him running now, that gives me a second to think instead of acting automatically. I decide I'm not going to kill him, I'm just going to explain that and go. Through the door he's shouting that he's called the police. I respond that that was pointless, since I'm already here. I hadn't meant that to sound as threatening as it did, just as an observation - I really need to think before I talk. But I hear him running away from the door and going out a side window.

I see him running for the trees at the edge of the property, and I say out loud, "Why do they always go for the fucking woods?" I follow him again, and this time the thought process - such as it is - is definitely about hunting rather than explaining. It's the familiarity of going for the woods that tipped the scales - old habits are hard to break. I hear something moving in the branches, jump up to grab him, pull him back to the ground - and discover it's not him, it's a human. I've never seen this guy before. What was he doing up in the trees, watching us? Also, I seem to have injured his throat where I grabbed him.

Then there's a flashlight shining on us, and a cop telling me not to move. The man I'd been hunting is behind the cop. I'm exasperated by this - taking advantage of our human appearances to hide behind real humans, it really irritates me. It's understandable, given that the alternative for him was death; but it still irritates me.
    11. Cabin Dream

      by , 12-22-2014 at 06:03 AM (The Kestrel's Dreams)
      December 21, 2014

I didn't sleep well lat night at all. I caught something from my 1st graders, and was awake with a high fever most of the night. When I did sleep, I felt feverish even in my dreams...

I was in a class taught by one of my old German professors. But he had forgotten my name. He saw my name on the roster and he was asking about how it was pronounced and I said something like "COME ON. IT'S GERMAN. YOU KNOW HOW TO PRONOUNCE THIS." He finally remembered my name, and then got all weird and touchy-feely. I was feeling feverish and got up to get a drink of water from a water fountain around a large pillar to the front right of class. We were in this big open area, not a classroom.

I got out of that class to meet a guy friend in the woods, outside the building he had his classes in. It reminded me a little of the nature center in my hometown. I had a crush on this guy or something. But he was either uninterested or oblivious to my feelings, so I gave up and called my brother, who was going to drive me to the cabin up north my family has gone to every year for Mother's Day since I was teeny tiny.

We pulled up to the cabin, and it was as if the cabin itself was in the landscape of a different family house that's actually even further north and on the lake. We were on the roads, which was above the cabin, which was in this big bowl-like ditch in the woods. We had to get to the service road, which linked to the back in the cabin, and then also looped around in a weird way that reminded me of the paths at the nature center, again.

We parked and were about to get into the cabin, when I had this really weird sense of déjà vu inside the dream itself, though I didn't know why. There was something about heating or a refrigerator, but I woke up very shortly after that.

It was only after I woke up that I realized I had had pretty much the exact same dream before, long ago (excluding the part about classes). It was pretty much the exact same as a dream I'd had when I was a kid. Or at least it felt like I had had the same dream before.

    12. 11-22-14 Ziplocked witch

      by , 12-04-2014 at 08:40 PM
My family lived in a really neat antique shop next to a vibrant brook in a weird lonely gnarly forest. The brook flooded one day in the spring and flowed into the store. One lady's display was ruined. I went to go see her. Everything was destroyed by the water, except for a very neat old professional film camera. She gave it to me. I went up to a different floor of the building and found my friend lounging on a balcony. I wanted to test out the camera so I filmed him. Then I rewound the tape and watched the playback. For a bit, we saw my footage, but then it abruptly cut off. Apparently there was different footage underneath mine on the tape. The image cut to two young women laying on a bed in their underwear, touching and fingering each other. I instantly turned off the camera and yelled, "I didn't film that!!"

In another house in those same woods there lived an extremely ugly old witch. Her daughter, (yes, her daughter!) was protesting against her mother's overweening desire to cover her daughter in shredded cheddar cheese. They argued back and forth heatedly for a long time. The witch stated that when she was her daughter's age, she too was covered in cheese by her mother. With that, she shrunk her daughter, scooped her up and stuffed her into a ziplock bag filled with cheese. She rolled her around in there for a bit and then let her out and put her back to normal size. Then a narrator-sort-of voice on a voice-over deadpanned, "no one could ever mistake the old lady for a normal human being".

I could jump really high and effortlessly but only if I constantly gave a thumbs up with both my hands.

      November 21, 2014

I was with Zukin in a coastal town. We'd been hiking or something, and had to stay with a group of people in a cabin in the foothills or mountains. Lots of trees around, because the cabin was in a forest.

It turned out that there was a huge power plant of some sort just off the coast, and it was going to blow. Or it was radioactive or something. Basically, everyone in the area was quarantined and that meant that Zukin and I couldn't go back home.

And so we had to stay at that cabin with those people... At first they hated us (or at least avoided us like the plague) because we were just too weird for them.

So we were sitting at a patio table with that group of people some days later. They had gotten at least used to us by then, so we were all talking and looking up at the night sky. It was fucking beautiful. The sky was so huge. Like, huger than huge. It just seemed so big. There were stars and galaxies and nebulae visible and so many colors. We were watching for shooting stars and flying ships (Whoa, just remembered some dreams I've had about night skies and things flying and whatnot... Huh! In one of them I think I was watching the sky for a sign that something was happening. Like there were spacecraft out there lighting up the sky and I was watching them fly for some reason, like all the movements meant something. Anyways.)

So we were sitting at this table under this huge, colorful, beautiful night sky, and there is suddenly a sound and we see a sky-ship above us. It's got four circular hover thingies, which are all lit up. A speaker announced, "Attention. The following people have been authorized to leave the area. Will the following step into the cabin and prepare to be taken into the ship:"

And they called my name first, and I was so happy and ran into the house, assuming Zukin would be called next. But she wasn't. They called four of the seven people, and Zukin wasn't one of them. When I found out her name wasn't called, I flipped out and tried to get back outside. One of the guys in our group shook me by the shoulders and told me to get a hold of myself and not do anything stupid.

But I still tried to get outside and kept yelling that I refused to go with them without Zukin, and I was about to get away, but they tranquilized me and I woke up :(

    14. Stop Sign Beat-Down

      Non-Dream Dream

      Dream 1:

I believe I had this dream twice in a row last night - as if I did things wrong the first time through and then I had an opportunity to fix things the second time. I only remember the second one. I am in a house in a narrow kitchen with white tile. There is an evil woman (possibly a witch) there who I am supposed to battle - I think it is a sword fight. There is a large crowd and they are all on my side because apparently this woman is terrorizing our civilization. She is an older woman - possibly in her 50s - and in my dream I think she is my mom (although she bears no resemblance to my mother in waking life).

We go out into the back yard and the setting resembles something out of the show Game of Thrones. There is a small concrete section in the back right corner of the yard. The woman steps onto this section with her back to the stone fences and is ready for battle although she has no weapon. Instead of a sword I have what appears to be a stop sign. She gets into a position where her arm is somehow laid out on the concrete. I walk up to her holding the stop sign by the metal post and start hitting / smashing her arm with the sign portion. Initially she laughs at me. (This is very similar to the scene in Game of Thrones where Daenerys ties the lady up to the wooden structure and sets her on fire. The lady initially says she will not scream but ends up screaming later). After several smashes it begins to hurt her but she has too much pride to show any weakness. I continue smashing and she eventually breaks and screams "please stop!" She stands up and I continue smashing the sign over her head until her shoulder ignites. The fire spreads across her entire body. She drops to her knees and changes into a younger woman and starts calling out for her mother.

      Dream 2:

I am at work in a lab. I am running western blots on my DEG project looking for BR. The results show crystal clear degradation products - 16 bands to be exact. I ask SC if the number of bands correlate with splice variants.

      Dream 3:

I am out in the woods with RL and AM from work. I have a high powered rifle with a scope. There are two people guarding a bright blue orb that I am supposed to destroy. I am hiding in the bushes next to a larger group of the enemies. I sneak around this group and go up a hill to where the guards are. I take out the one of the guards with a single shot and then I have trouble shooting the other one. He is a much better fighter. Just like in "Dream 1" I get a do-over like in a video game. This time I try to take out the good fighter first. It takes me two shots but I get him, then I easily take out the other guard. In order to get to the blue orb I have to sprint across a 100ft section where I am susceptible to being shot by the larger group below. I make it past and start shooting the orb as the large group closes in on me. It takes 3 shots to destroy the orb.

      Dream 4:

I am on a red planet with no plant life and no structures. Just dirt as far as the eye can see - similar to what I imagine mars would look like on the surface. There are giant rolling hills everywhere which makes it difficult to see very far. There are enemies scattered around and they can be identified easily because wherever they stand the ground turns black.
    15. Shock Combo, Mrs Chillen (22.8.14)

      Dream 1 - 5:00AM

I'm in an undercover area, using a Shock Rifle. I see an enemy 50 meters away. He's trying to reach the elevator which is on top of the ramp. I shoot the ball towards him and make the energy ball explode by shooting a single beam of energy at it. I damage the enemy (not sure if he died or not).

I'm now outside where I can see a lot of water and a massive building in the background. I begin launching myself 15 meters in front of me with each leap, landing onto pads that are floating on the water. As I land on the pads, they help accelerate me forwards to the next pad.

I'm now inside a building, standing next to the deli meat section. I can see chicken and salmon. Benny Lackman and some female are standing are not too far from me. Benny is making fun of the way people prep their salmon. He calls the white fish plain. I find it pretty funny the way he says things. I start to have a convocation with them both.

      Dream 2

I'm female and getting taught how to ride a motorbike by a man. We're in the woods riding. We begin to start to get competitive and start racing one another. We're now inside a house and still racing. I begin to try some tricks, such as a bunny hop. I start to get a big lead on him and to make things harder for him to catch me, I half close some doors behind me.

I'm now standing in my kitchen with a laptop on the bench. My brother sees the laptop and has a look at whats getting played on it. It's a ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video. He tells me he did a video and that he nominated myself and a few others. I tell him ''F That, no chance''. He glares at me with a WTF look. I start to imagine what it would have been like when the bucket of ice water was being poured over my brother head.

      Dream Fragment

I have my water distiller running in Dads lounge room, and I forgot to put the jug underneath where the water drips out (water distiller looks different to mine. I freak out and check the carpet but it seems dry. I see a plastic jug next to the distiller. I think I wasted about 1 liter of water.
