    1. DILD + chain of non-lucid dreams

      Night creatures

*A nightmare in dark, overnight scenery. I recall that it's not the first nightmare placed there. I become lucid near the end.*

I am walking on foot in the pine forest at night. I was afraid of being surrounded by paranormal. I could sense the presence of something unspeakably evil. I thought I saw something behind the trees, but it was some kind of shrine made of white marble. I sensed something behind me, so I tried to run away. I found myself in the churchyard, but everything except cemetery was closed. I ran through the graveyard, on the road avoiding dead ends, and somehow entering the church. I walked upstairs, and saw someone praying to the elder werewolf god. I was surrounded by possessed dogs. I thought to myself Godmode! I grabbed two of them and threw them away. I grabbed the other two, but they bitten me really hard. I could feel the pain, but I wasn't even hurt. Eventually I threw them away, and woke up having enough of it.

      Stopping the thieves

I was in a big seaside city with my classmates. We saw someone breaking into the jeweler's shop. We entered the car. I was the driver, and we drove through the wall, stopping them, but destroying the building. Police came quickly, they were mad at us for all the destruction, but since we helped them, they didn't punished us. We were invited to a party made by the jeweler, but I said I have to go, I have something to do. While going away, I heard my classmates saying Something about that one... I didn't wanted to hear it, and entered another shop. After a while went out, and met someone from school. We went on the
shore, and talked about our lives.

      Dying for love

It was in post apocalyptic world. Germans won the World War Two, by using nuclear weaponry. It happened during the evening and night. I was trying to save a girl attempting to suicide, I felt that I love her. She wanted to enter the hazardous environment, where one of nuclear rockets striked. I persuaded her to stop. She wanted to jump onto the train, but I stopped her in the last moment. Then she accused me of stalking her. I entered the truck, trying to escape from a group of german officers. They shot me in the heart. I died in that cold, dark foggy night.

      Fallout

The cold war ended with nuclear war. Humanity lived in the cavernous bunkers made by germans during the world war. Everyone was scavenging for food and other resources. One of my friends told me to go for resources into the western chamber 1/a. I told my group to look elsewhere, and I'll go there alone. I entered it, but suddenly the automatic doors closed, and toxic gas was going out of a pipe. I tried to open the doors, only finding another set of doors behind them. I finally got to the last one, but they were too hard to open. Then a dog put his paw through the door, stopping them from closing, and saving me. I came back to my group, with a new friend.

    2. grandpa's air force photos; lingerie store; song

      by , 08-25-2011 at 12:28 PM
      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

I was at my great grandmother's house. My great grandma (who IWL passed away about two years ago) was sitting in an armchair near her front door. My sister sat at a footstool near the chair. There were other family members in the house, as if we were having a gathering or party of some kind.

My great grandma was showing us photos from a big photo album she had. The photo album had black covers, and the pages were letter-size, clear plastic page sleeves, probably with a black "backing" set into each sleeve. Each page had one photograph, which was as big as a letter-size piece of paper.

The photos were from my great grandfather's time of service in the Air Force. Apparently he had fought in World War II. My great grandma and/or my sister told how my great grandpa would send these photos home in letters. The letters would be kind of cheerful, not hinting at any danger my great grandpa was experiencing.

My great grandma had put all these photos into a book and then had then captioned each one in the same kind of cheerful, breezy tone that my great grandpa had used in his letters.

My great grandma now laughed. She said that, looking back on these photo captions, she was shocked at how naive and silly they sounded, and how they trivialized the hard experiences my great grandpa had had in the war. We all laughed.

My sister took the book. She may have had the intention either of putting the book away or of showing us the pictures, but not reading any of the captions. I asked my sister, a little forcibly, if I could see the book. I wanted to read some of the captions aloud. After my great grandma's story, the captions seemed like the most interesting thing of all.

I sat down on a footstool on the other side of the room from my sister. I looked through the pages. Some photos had captions on their bottom edges, typed in. Others had captions written on the backs of the photos, scrawled out in big letters with some purplish pencil. Others had a combination of typing and handwriting.

I now started actually looking at the photos. I was stunned when I saw a photo of a jet fighter, like an F-4 or an F-16. The fighter was on the ground, and it was largely hidden from view by big vehicles like trucks, so I only saw the nose, cockpit, and two rectangular air intake valves on either side of the nose.

I looked at the back side of the photograph. It said F-15 and something like "Flurry or Fury" or "Fluffy or Fury." The word "Fury" was then repeated. This was all typed, centered, at the top of the page, as if by an official agency. There was a little bit more official text, followed by a lot of scrawled out writing from my great grandma.

I stuttered to my family, "This -- this -- must be one of the first uses of jet fighters in actual combat situations!"

My great grandma nodded in affirmation.

I then flipped through some more pages. One group of photos showed some kind of switchboard area. Women were working the switchboards. There was one photo with a woman with dark hair, in a 1940s style, curly, down to about her shoulders. The woman wore a uniform, but I don't remember if she wore a hat. She may have been wearing small, round eyeglasses.

I said, again in surprise, that this was one of the first groups of women to be used for something like strategic or technological operations.

      Dream #2

I was walking into a really busy clothing store, coming in behind a big group of people. There were racks full of clothes as soon as we came in the doors. The people in front of me kind of filtered out to different areas of the store. A little girl in a cheerful-patterned, red and white dress followed the people.

I basically went to some set of clothes racks with panties on display. There were some other people there. Two were a couple, a young man and a young woman. They both looked kind of well-off. I was afraid they would think I was a pervert for being here. I also worried whether the parents of the little girl I'd seen would think I was a pervert.

      Dream #3

A song. A guitar played a nice sounding, strumming melody with a solid, but relaxed rhythm. I took this to be the foreground music. Then another stringed instrument (???) Would come in occasionally and add a little riff that sounded a bit like that "Brazil" song from the movie... um... Brazil, by Terry Gilliam.
    3. Meanwhile, in The Netherlands...

      by , 02-13-2011 at 11:41 PM (Clockworker's Dream Journal)
I thought I'd only come here to post lucid dreams, but I feel obligated to share this very peculiar and vivid experience ¹.
So this dream starts as me and a couple of friends arrive at a little world war two scenario called Hellendoorn, a city located in The Netherlands. I recognize the place, and easily drive a car in its familiar landscapes. Snow has covered the grass, and the lake is pitch dark from outside. A very blue, indigo look. The watermill is barely moving. We then step out from our car ², now heading to a house situaded by the watermill and lake, we seem to be wearing fancy clothes. The house is much, much bigger from what it looks in reality, and I would call it a mansion. As we wait for someone to open the door, I check some family pictures of the ones who live in the mansion (these were in my pocket), and discuss their daughter's appearance with my friends. I think to myself, "she's kinda cute".
A little blonde girl welcomes us in, as we make our way to the living room. We spend the night there and have dinner, watch television and play videogames. It's all going just fine when the girl from the picture (the one we were talking about, before going in) decides to tell me she wants to make out with me. I feel great she picked me instead of the other two, and we kiss and fool around while we watch something on the tv. Everything looks great to me, "what a night, this is sonot what I'm used to do", when I realize I have a girlfriend already, and that this would be considered cheating. It was cheating. I perform a huge facepalm and stop kissing her. We both move to the kitchen and I tell her I should not at all be doing that, for I had a girlfriend who I really was in love with. She tells me she also has a boyfriend, however I'm not sure if she regrets what we've done as much as I do. I feel extremely bad about myself and wake up.

¹ Okay, it sounds stupid to those who weren't there, but the atmosphere of the dream was impressive from the inside. Everything was perfectly built up and elaborated, I felt weird when I woke up and realized it was all inside my head. I like this feeling and I don't get it very often, so this is basically why I'm posting it.
² It's a 1942 German Vehicle, and it has the odd ability to transport passengers through water. I believe it was also used by the military (Germany), during World War II.
