    Flying Fast

I was driving down the highway with my friend M. We came to a 3-way ramp. The middle ramp was for cars coming towards us, and the other two were ramps for cars going our way.

There were tiny, automatically driven cars coming down the middle ramp. We were lost, so I told M that we should write a note for one of the little cars to find out which we we were supposed to go.

Then I was heading towards a tunnel. A very long truck loaded with boxes that filled his side of the tunnel completely was coming out. I was going in and it was really cramped. As I headed in, I was suddenly holding onto a car that was flying extremely fast, and I realized I was dreaming.

I was going so fast, I could feel my stomach pulling at least an extra g. I started talking to someone that it felt like I must be going 300 miles per hour.

Then I started singing Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney. I know my voice isn't that great, but I thought it sounded pretty good, and I was a little surprised at my power. I belted out a couple stanzas really enjoying the speed and the song.

Then I was with my fgf, having lost lucidity.
    Spoiler for Sexy Time:

I then woke up and went to the bathroom. I went back to bed and

was lucid again. I saw a blonde and decided to get my hummer with her instead. I got it, but I couldn't feel it that well.

That's all I remember of this dream. I'm not even really sure there was any more to it.

Hey Sandman! Congratulations on hitting two lucids in one night! Are you still using pretty much the same induction technique as before?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that loves the sound of his own voice in an LD. I sing so much better w/ my dream voice than the real thing. I belted out some Foo Fighters in one dream and let me be real here -- I sounded good.

Keep doing whatever you're doing. Tonight I'm going to try to match this "two lucids in one night" bar you're setting.

Thanks Canis! Honestly, it wasn't that big of a deal. Both lucids were kind of mediocre, but I typically focus on the positive. Two in a night was pretty nice. Better is that February, my first month of the fiscal year, has offered 35.3% of the lucids I had my entire first year with DV.

As for technique on this night, I just went to bed. Wouldn't you know it? I haven't been able to point to SSILD one time. I still like it though, and played with it last night. I believe in this technique along with EILD, so those are the two I try. I like WILD as well, and believe in it, but I am not ready to play with it.

Foo Fighters eh? Was that you choice in a lucid, or did you just start singing in a regular dream? Though lucid, my song chose me. It seemed right though.

Hey, that's really good news! So you're on a 4x pace already. Congratulations on completing your (first?) fiscal year. My first year of lucid dreaming will be drawing to a close at the end of April. (Unfortunately for me, I didn't join DV until August.)

You know, I have this feeling like we've discussed your EILD approach before but now I can't remember what you do. It's something to do with VCR lights isn't it? I know you've told me. I'll just stop being lazy and look it up after this.

This was in a lucid dream when I was flying around and my vision went black. I just sort of kept flying sightlessly and singing to anchor myself. Sounded like a total rock star, whereas in real life I would sound like a total goober. Yeah, here's the dream: Fire Escape - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

I'm actually going into my 3rd year just now. I had 17 my first year (really 19, but I didn't join until I had two and had to figure out what was going on, so I found DV and then joined.) I had 27 my second year, and as mentioned, 6 in February.

In case you didn't look it up, yes, I did play with blinking lights from something one time, and I can point to that as bleeding into a lucid that same night; however, my daily EILD routine involves a recording, now on my phone, that suggests I become lucid at whatever time I set it for. I just set that alarm to sound 25 minutes earlier. I seem to consistently wake up 5 to 10 minutes before it comes on, so it doesn't work AND it further wakes me up as I have to turn it off when I'm trying to get back to sleep.

Nice. I like singing as a way to anchor yourself. It should prove interesting, and I guess like anyone else, I often need that anchor. I also like another technique one of my DV friends uses. She says something like, "EXTREME LUCIDITY!" I tried that once. It at least anchored me if it didn't actually make things extra vivid. I also think it's funny, so...
