I saw different colored block letters on my ceiling--all capital letters. I want to say I knew I was dreaming, but I was not lucid; I thought about the fact that I was dreaming though. At this time I also saw a screen showing an x and y axis of basically a single white pixels width. I was trying to figure out how to make a game.

My idea was that a point would show up in a quadrant, and you had to shoot it. Points would continue showing up in all the quadrants for you to shoot.

I thought this would be a little hard to keep up with as a player, so I thought I would design it so that the points would appear in the quadrants in order, quadrant 1 then 2 etc... This would allow them to appear at an increasingly fast pace, but the player could anticipate their appearance and get into a rhythm shooting them.

I didn't like the idea that much in my dream, nor when I woke up. Maybe that's why I didn't put more energy into it.
