    1. Very realistic Lucid Dream

      by , 06-19-2013 at 08:00 PM (TheSpiderSilva's Dream Journal)
Last night, I had what was probably the most real looking lucid dream I've ever had. This was pretty much the only time where I couldn't control things very easily though, so that was kind of disappointing.

Still, the dream itself was pretty cool. I'll explain it to you:

The setting was my house, but it was facing the opposite direction that it normally does. It was also in a different area... it was on an enormous grassy field with a few trees here and there. It was actually pretty beautiful.

Off in the distance, there was a huge pyramid. It looked like an Egyptian pyramid, though it was different because the top of it was rectangular, and it had strange symbols written on it. It was weird that I could see the symbols, because it was probably several miles away.

Closer to where I was, there were dinosaurs grazing. I saw some triceratops, hadrosaurs, and a tyrannosaurus came charging towards them. I wish I would have ran over and interacted with them, I don't know why I didn't. I also should have went to the pyramid.

I decided to run, and I got to where I was doing 50 mph or more, so I decided to try and jump and fly. I tried several times to fly but I couldn't get it (weird because I've actually flown before in dreams and didn't have much trouble).

In this dream, I couldn't control much of anything. The only thing I did was pull the ground apart and then close it back up.

Also, I don't remember seeing any people in the dream, but I did hear some murmuring about how I was an "Aztec God".

This dream ended after a few minutes, and I was in another dream (though I thought I was awake), and I was actually telling my DCs about the lucid dream I just had. I forget what they said, but I think one of them said that lucid dreaming was stupid or something like that, lol.

And also, I'm getting a lot better at initiating lucid dreams!
    2. Strange and entertianing non-lucids, an unsatisfying lucid, and a false awakening

      by , 06-16-2013 at 10:29 AM (TheSpiderSilva's Dream Journal)
Last night, I probably had some of the strangest dreams of my life. I'm not even really sure how to put into words how ridiculous they were, but I'll try.

Now, while they were weird, they were also probably some of the best non-lucid dreams I've ever had.

Here's everything I remember (it might get confusing, but bear with me):

The first thing I remember was being with two of my sisters... and Neve Campbell. See? It's already weird. I don't remember thinking about Neve Campbell or anything before I went to sleep, but it absolutely was her in my dream. This should have been a pretty big clue that I was dreaming, because I seemed to know her pretty well personally.

Anyway, I guess my dream was creating false memories for me, because we stumbled upon this guy who was apparently a "chef" from Food Network who had a show that me and my family used to watch together. He wasn't REALLY an actual projection of a real-life chef from Food Network, but I was pretty sure that he was in my dream. In fact, I think he was Bill Murray (at least, he looked and sounded like him).

We hung out with this guy for a while, but when he wasn't around, me and my sisters (and Neve Campbell) saw a news report on TV that said that this man was actually a man who disguises himself as various people from TV and what-not, and that whoever turns him in will get a reward (or something like that). We tried looking for him, but we couldn't find him. A while later though, me and my sisters... and Neve Campbell... went to the old neighborhood that me and my sisters used to live in when we were younger, and saw a man who looked suspiciously like the Food Network impersonator guy (or Bill Murray...), living in a bright pink house with a Dora the explorer themed car (that didn't start)... he was standing in his garage talking to us (don't remember what he was saying though). Now, I know that this bright pink house wasn't really in my old neighborhood, and this man didn't really live there, but in the dream, I was pretty sure that this stuff actually happened (false memories, I guess).

The next thing I remember, me, my sisters, and Neve Campbell were sitting at a restaurant having dinner. We were all talking to each other (again, don't remember what we were saying), and all of a sudden Neve Campbell puts her hand on my thigh. Her hand felt really warm for some reason, and I remember thinking that I liked it (weird, I know).

The next dream I had felt like only a few seconds, and I wasn't even a part of it. It was Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslett (still in character from Titanic) riding in a weird train thing (it was kind of like the Mono-rail from Batman Begins, but instead of a train it looked more like a car), and Leonardo DiCaprio was yelling angrily about how the windshield wipers kept spraying lube on the windshield every 7 seconds (weird as hell, I know).

It's also weird because I couldn't see them, but I knew they were in the train... car... thing. Kate Winslett didn't say anything, but I knew she was there too. So strange.

These were some of the most entertaining dreams I've had, honestly.

Towards the morning though, I was actually able to become lucid.

It wasn't a very good lucid dream though, because I knew I was dreaming, but I felt absolutely EXHAUSTED in the dream (the sleepy kind of exhausted, not the kind of feeling you get after a workout), and I could hardly keep my eyes open, and everything seemed foggy. I was sitting at my kitchen table, rubbing my hands together furiously and I kept yelling out "INCREASE CLARITY!", and I think it helped a little, but not much.

The next thing I know, I'm waking up in my room. However, I almost immediately know that this is a false awakening, because I look at my alarm clock and notice it says "15:00" (military time isn't an option on my clock). However, I still felt very very tired and couldn't really enjoy the dream. I remember yelling out "Why the fuck am I so tired!?!?!?" in a half joking, half frustrated kind of way. I woke up for real a few seconds later.

It's weird, but maybe I actually fell asleep in the initial lucid dream because I was so tired, and that was what triggered the false awakening. Not sure, but it's possible.
    3. Dream about a girl

      by , 03-30-2013 at 08:48 AM (TheSpiderSilva's Dream Journal)
Been a while since I've signed on.

Anyway, last night, I had a pretty strange dream. I don't really remember everything that happened, but I'll try to explain it the best I can.

Let me start off by saying that in my real life, there's this girl. She's my friend, but I am about 99% sure that she has these special, deep feelings for me. It's all in the way she looks at me (hard to explain the look that she gives me, it's a special look that's just filled with love and care, makes me feel great), the way she talks to me, and just how she seems to always want my attention when I'm around.

I won't say I'm in love with her, but I will say that I've never felt this way about another person before. I think about her constantly, whether I want to or not. I always think about her before I go to sleep at night, it's not really something I can control. I've actually tried to make myself stop thinking about her several times, because it can't be healthy to think about someone as often as I do. It's ridiculous.

Sometimes, I actually do stop thinking about her as often as I normally do, but then, I'll have a dream about her, and those feelings will get stirred up again and she'll be on my mind non-stop.

This happened again last night. Except, usually when I dream about her, it's a dream where we spend time together and have a good time with each other. This was different. We were in a car together with about 4 other people (don't even remember who the other people were). I was in the front driver's seat (I wasn't driving though, weird), and she was in the back seat on the passenger's side. There was some guy sitting on her lap, facing her, and kissing her on the cheek repeatedly.

That bothered me, mostly because I didn't know I was in a dream at that time, and because there was some guy making out with her face. I just looked away from it. I noticed though, that she wasn't even looking at the guy, she was looking at me.

In real life, her and I have never dated, had sex, kissed, or done anything much more than hug. She does flirt with me a lot though, and like I said, the look that she gives me is not a look that a girl gives her regular guy-friend. She's also felt me up before, that's when I finally started picking up on the fact that she probably wants to be more than friends with me.

She also almost always has a boyfriend. Even then, her behavior around me doesn't change one bit. She's given me strong signals before that she's wanted me to kiss her, or more, while she was dating someone. She's definitely not a whore either, trust me. I'm almost positive that if I asked her out, she'd say yes. There's almost no doubt about that in my mind. I have no idea why I haven't asked her out.

I was thinking, maybe the dream that I had (guy on her lap, kissing her, while she was looking at me) is just symbolizing how there is always someone in the way of us getting together. The way she was looking at me might symbolize that she would leave her boyfriend for me, and maybe the fact that I looked away symbolizes that I don't want to ruin an existing relationship between two people (because that's one of the things about me, I can't do that to someone no matter how much I like the girl).

And maybe the fact that I was in the driver's seat, but not driving, means that I have the power to control the situation (I could go out with her if I asked her), but I choose not to do anything about it for whatever reason.

Of course, there's always the possibility that dreams are just nonsense, but I like the former better, so Im just gonna go with that.

    4. Alex Mercer (me) vs Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr)- LONG READ

      by , 07-07-2012 at 05:06 AM (TheSpiderSilva's Dream Journal)
Okay, this is the story of one of my 6 or 7 lucid dreams. This happened about a year ago, but I remember it quite clearly since it is the most amazing non-sexual thing that has ever happened to me.

A little about me first, I love to fight. It's in my nature. I train in boxing, and I LOVE IT. My username "TheSpiderSilva", is actually a reference to Anderson "The Spider" Silva, the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. I could go on all day about my passion for fighting, but I'd rather just tell you about my dream, because the latter might be interesting to someone other than myself.

Since I mentioned Anderson Silva, here's a picture of him doing the matrix on Forrest Griffin:

He's currently 14-0 in the UFC (longest winning streak in UFC history), and hopefully he'll extend that UFC winning streak to 15 tomorrow after his fight with Chael Sonnen (which I'm nervous about).

Another thing about me, in all of my lucid dreams (all 6 or 7 of them), I have given myself the powers of Alex Mercer. He's the main protagonist in the video game "PROTOTYPE". He's an anti-hero, fighting for the good of the world, even if that means killing a few people.

Here is a picture of Alex:

He has a lot of insane powers.

Read about Alex's powers here under "Powers and Abilities", this page also contains his biography in case you want to know about him (I strongly recommend that you read it, because otherwise you might not understand my story):
      http://prototype.wikia.com/wiki/Alex_Mercer

There are a few problems that I have with what they say about his powers. For one thing, he can easily lift tanks, throw them, or carry them up skyscrapers. The game won't let you do it, but that's not because he isn't strong enough. In Prototype 2, he easily flings a tank a mile with one arm, and that's without muscle mass (a power he has that increases his strength by a factor of two).

He also doesn't get hurt by bullets and missiles. They tone down his powers during gameplay severely, to give the game balance and make it challenging. He survived a nuke 5x the size of the Hiroshima bomb at the end of the first game.

      Now, on to the dream.

I don't really remember what happened at first, but all of a sudden, I realized I was dreaming. Everything got incredibly vivid. The first thing I did was give myself Alex Mercer's powers, and then I went to Manhattan.

It was the Manhattan from Prototype though. There were a bunch of infected zombies, mutants, and the military was also there. I was actually fighting them for a while, having fun, getting the hang of my powers. One cool thing I did was leap off of a building, down towards the front of the tank, grabbed it by the barrel, jumped into the air with it, flipped over, and slammed the tank into a hunter.

In case you don't know what a hunter is, here's a picture:

I killed an infected mutant, and destroyed a tank. Two birds one stone.

I also gave myself a nice little weapon too. I tore the barrel off of the tank and started using it as a baseball bat. I was destroying everybody with it, and having a crazy amount of fun doing it.

I eventually got tired of the tank barrel, so I flung it at an apache (caused it to crash).

Eventually it had gotten to where I was the only man standing. Everyone and everything around me was destroyed (everything was trying to kill me so don't call me a psycho lol, I'm actually a nice guy).

Suddenly, I see something fly over me at a very high speed. It flew over a bunch of times. After a while, I started jumping upwards, trying to grab onto it. I missed the first several times. I eventually timed it right and grabbed onto it.

I noticed I was holding onto a leg, and also noticed that it was fucking IRON MAN.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

      No reply.

All of a sudden, he stopped in mid flight (for a quick second), placed his legs on my shoulders, and pretty much kicked me down, which sent me flying towards the ground. We were a few thousand feet up. I landed on the street, laying in a crater caused by the impact of me hitting the pavement.

"What the hell was that for?" I asked myself.

    5. One of My Lucids

      by , 07-01-2012 at 08:12 AM (TheSpiderSilva's Dream Journal)
This dream happened at least a year ago, but I thought I'd share one of my lucid dreams (I've only had about 6).

Okay, the first thing I remember, I wasn't lucid. I was at my house, everything was dark, and there was a certain evil, nightmarish quality to the area. It was dark outside, but I could still see for the most part.

I was in my yard, for some reason, I was scared. Suddenly, someone or something runs out of the back door to my house, and runs after me. I had no idea what it was, so instinctively I turned and ran.

It chased me aways down the street, then, out of nowhere I found myself saying "I'm dreamin!", and suddenly everything got 100% more vivid. I changed the night to day, and turned around and faced the creature that was chasing me. It stopped running after me, and stood and stared at me from about 20 feet away.

This is when I decide to chase after it. I charge after it, running at superhuman speeds of course (since in my lucid dreams I always give myself the powers of Alex Mercer from Prototype), and caught up to it after a short chase.

I decided to have a little fun with it, since it was trying to torture me. I punched the ground, which sent a shockwave or something and caused the ground around the creature to crumble. It was stuck in a hole.

I jumped down into the hole to have a little talk with it. I lifted it in front of my face, told it to "Stay out of my dreams", put it down, got out of the hole in the road, and then rebuilt the road on top of it.

I can't even remember what it looked like, other than the fact that it wasn't human. It may have had gray skin, I can't really remember. It looked evil though, I remember that.
    6. Scream

      by , 07-01-2012 at 07:49 AM (TheSpiderSilva's Dream Journal)
Ever seen the movie "Scream"? It's the one where a guy kills people dressed in this:

Well, my dream was kind of like the movie. Someone called me, and was threatening to kill my sister if I didn't do what he said. I never could understand what he wanted me to do, so he killed my sister.

That's not the weirdest part though, because we kept going back in time to before he killed her, and I'd get another chance. I still couldn't understand what I was supposed to do, I don't even have a clue.

I must have seen my sister's dead boy 6 times before I woke up. There was one time where I thought I did what he said, and my sister was walking towards me. Suddenly, he popped out of nowhere and plunged a knife into her side. Horrible, horrible dream.

There was more that went on in this dream, but I can't remember it.
    7. Missing clothes

      by , 06-30-2012 at 12:48 AM (TheSpiderSilva's Dream Journal)
This is the second dream I've had where I can't find my clothes.

One of my best friends in the world was there, which I should have found weird considering she lives in another state. She's an adorable mexican chick, only 5 feet tall, and the sweetest person I've ever met. She's also beautiful. We've made out and stuff in real life, but that doesn't really have anything to do with my dream, lol.

Well, she was with me the whole time in the dream. We were hanging out just like we used too, but there was one weird thing: I couldn't find my clothes. The only clothes I had were the ones I was wearing.

I had one shoe on, and went up to some guy and asked him for one of his shoes. He said "Yeah, sure", like it wasn't wierd or anything. Now that I think about it, the shoe that he gave me was one of my shoes IRL. I was wearing another one of my shoes from IRL (but they weren't matches).

      Strange dream.
    8. Tyrannosaurus Rex Attack

      by , 06-28-2012 at 08:19 AM (TheSpiderSilva's Dream Journal)
The dream started out with me and a bunch of my friends on some island (pretty sure it was Isla Sorna from Jurassic Park).

We were all armed with strange looking weapons. We walked through some tall grass and found a dead dinosaur. We heard a deep growl, and then a fucking Tyrannosaurus Rex lifts his head up. It was very similar to how they found the t-rex in Jurassic Park 3.

      It looked somewhat like this:

The T-rex that I saw was slightly larger, and darker in color. It also looked more angry and pissed off than curious as to why we were there. The area that we saw it was also slightly different, and we were to the right of it.

He didn't look very happy. None of us knew how to use our weapons (because they weren't like ordinary guns or anything I've seen before). The T-rex got up and started roaring and walking towards us (I guess it was his territory, the area smelled like piss), so we were all scared as hell. I look down at my hands and suddenly I'm holding an X-Box controller. For some reason, I hit the pause button and the t-rex stopped, and everything turned green (like everything was night vision). I scrolled down to the last option on the pause menu, and I couldn't read what it said, but I knew that the last option was usually "quit". So I pressed it.

Next thing I know, I'm in my house. More specifically my laundry room. I had no recollection of the Tyrannosaurus. I was just upset because I couldn't find my clothes. I looked in the dirty clothes basket and noticed that all of the clothes that I owned were in there, wet, and stained red. I found a tooth the size and basic shape of a banana in there, similar to that of a t-rex.

Crazy dream, pretty scary, but I wouldn't consider it a nightmare.
