    1. 02.01.2014 Into the past

      by , 01-04-2014 at 05:29 PM
A bunch of colleagues and myself decided to go to the beach. We all rallied on a square/market made of different parts of my last block in Zagreb, but somehow strongly reminiscent of Rijeka. I remember Peti, Grga, and the Mihaljevic brothers, but I think there was someone else with us. We walked between the tall concrete buildings surrounding the market, and got to the other side.

We turned left past the buildings on the other side, and we were on a stone/dirt path heading for the beach. It was the same path I walked in Tomasevac, Rijeka, as a kid. The beach was very similar, but somehow different, the water was dark and looked more like an ocean, than a sea. It looked very nice but I didn’t even think about swimming as we neared it, my mind was focused somewhere else.
Suddenly I realized that I didn’t bring any swimming gear, not even a backpack. I hurried back and Grga and someone else followed me on their bikes (which they didn’t have previously).
They decided to wait for me behind the house on the corner we turned last.

I grabbed a plastic bag with my gym clothes, but no sneakers, and went back. Suddenly another colleague, Boltek, was in the group too. We went to the beach, but were in a spiraling staircase walking upwards.
It was the spiraling staircase leading to a billiards club we often went to (and hung out there quite a lot in the past). The stairs were very narrow, and the guys were making their usual snarky remarks concerning my situation.

Then, we were no Prokhorovka, a map in World of Tanks. The eastern side of the map was missing, and instead behind the tracks was the road to the beach we went through prior. We started from the north spawn, and pushed the south (the map was inverted). I was in my VK3601(H). As I pushed over the ridge I found a Sturer Emil confronting me. I flanked him, but he pinned me to the wall next to the road. As I tried to push loose, suddenly I had my hands again and, with help from Peti, tipped the Sturer over on his side away from me. I stepped over him and felt the armor plating beneath my feet bend and twist, as if it was made of tin. I was scared that I would fall through, but I didn’t. It was only up to my chest height, too.

Then we continued to the beach….

    2. 18.12.2013 A dream of mirrors

      by , 12-28-2013 at 10:48 PM
I was thinking in school, on a class about mirrors.

The class was taught by a professor Potalec, who has nothing to do with physics in real life. He actually teaches in an electronics lab. The classroom had an endless field of green grass where the wall/chalk board should be. There was a wooden fence between the field and us, and on the small fence doors were 2 mirrors. They were open and by some unknown force the mirrors parted the grass ahead of them.

The teacher made a point that the mirrors need to be parallel for the experiment to work. As he was talking, he showed the formula for the mirror on the non-existent chalkboard on the non-existent wall. The formula was complex and took 5-6 lines over the whole board. I recognized some symbols used in mirror calculation (d and C), but I had never seen that formula.

I asked him if the mirrors were really ‘’in focus’’ and parallel, because they didn’t seem like that to me. I found the far side of the grass path was very blurry. He said everything was alright, so I asked the class if anyone else sees the same as me. The class was full of strangers (and some girls, which my current class doesn’t have). They said I was seeing things wrong and laughed at me. I announced that it must be my diopter then, and sat down.

    3. 06.12.2013 Wild around the lighthouse

      by , 12-28-2013 at 10:37 PM
I’m in the Russian wilderness in my Type59. The map is very similar to Lighthouse/Severogosk, but completely made up. It features a small dirt valley to the west, shrouded by large boulders with passages (tunnels/holes) to the middle. In the middle there is an elevated plateau with an old cemetery. To the east is a big cliff over the ocean with a big old wooden lighthouse/shed sort of building on a crest. The bases are southwest and northwest, above the entrances to the valley on hills, overlooking the middle cemetery.

I advanced trough the west valley, and went to scout the enemy base. The other meds in my team went east, I noticed a WZ120 among them. When I peeked out of the valley I didn’t see any enemies. Looking behind me I saw to black aboregenese-looking kids and they threw a small pebble as they retreated to the valley, to lure me in.

I wasn’t in a tank at this point, but rather in my body. I came and saw a creepy wolf-cat hybrid that was a vulture, and it looked at me with hunger. I was scared and walked east in panic, not daring to take my eyes of the creature. If I looked another way it would approach quickly as if to take a bite, but never did.

I ran away to the shed on the cliff, and was greeted by 2 guys. One was a guy from my school, who everyone called Medo (Bear). Another I seemed to know but I can’t place him. They were fooling around, and even had pizza.

Suddenly I was walking to school. In my pajamas. In the middle of a familiar looking city center, riddled with car lanes, small squares and people. In the rain and dark murky sky.
I felt really strange, a bit sad. As I approached the tram station I saw a colleague, Boltek, standing at the station. He saw me across the lanes and grunted in annoyance, shaking his head. Suddenly I realized I wasn’t going to school anyway, but actually wanted to see the market. I went right, across to the stands and shops. There I stopped at some sellers who wanted to sell me something completely useless and unnecessary, and even gave me a demonstration.

    4. 05.12.2013 From the holy to the filthy

      by , 12-28-2013 at 10:33 PM
I was playing a WoT match in my T49 on Lakeville. I remember going down the middle road from the south, only it was east. I saw an enemy obj 263 from the real middle road to my west. Some scouting later I met a T34 and while retreating got killed by the object.

After that I was in a city map that is unfamiliar, in a German heavy tank.

After that I was in the same virtual place with Stipe, my aforementioned childhood buddy. We went southeast as if we departed from the north base. I had a minimap in this dream, one of Lakeville. Fitting.
Strangely the minimap had a big pink square, indicating an objective destination. At that destination was a big gothic church, resembling one of royalty. The bell tower had a big pink wrap around it.

Now we were in the church. It was full of gold, with fancy seats in the first 3 rows of only 2 chairs directly in front of the altar itself, and wood seating in the back. We were in the 3’rd row, although seated next to each other. We were talking a lot and got kicked out.

Once in front of the church entrance, we saw some kind of guard and the big doors. We were talking about going back in when suddenly, an action option in transparent text appeared over the doors. It first said ‘’break in’’, but we didn’t react, just waited confused. Then it changed to ‘’sneak in’’, and we decided to go with it. We sneaked in down the center row on our toes, completely noticed. Still, we proceeded to our seats where we were confronted with a middle-aged blonde lady. She told us to keep quiet, as this was her professional exam.

Then I was in a mansion with my class and my Croatian teacher prof. Sekulic. She told us some historic stories involving royalty. In the big dim room we were in I noticed 2 large paintings with gold encrusted frames on the walls. One was of a man, the other of a woman, and they both looked like collectable cards from the online game Heartstone. The man’s card description read; ‘’A man is to another man a man. And he behaves pure.’’ The woman’s card read; ‘’A woman is to a woman a woman, and she behaves filthy’’.

I asked my teacher what the pictures meant, to which she laughed and said something. When we were leaving, I saw some large computers laid in a line on the floor next to the door, and under a massive wooden desk.
They had some plugs detached which I recognize. They were oddly shaped and attached to black plastic piping on the other end. A colleague Bicanic joked about them with the teacher and they laughed. Turns out they were processors and he offered to reattach them.

    5. 05.12.2013 P.E. Pains

      by , 12-28-2013 at 10:30 PM
I dreamed that our P.E. professor gave us sudden exam questions to discuss and answer, most of which had nothing to do with P.E.
I had to explain the notion of animal mating seasons.

I remember standing in a tram turnaround called Ljubljanica, near the house I used to live in a year ago. Most if not all my class was here with me. The pavement seemed really deep, the sidewalk was waist high when I stood in it. I remember the colorful seller stands on the turnaround.

Suddenly I was talking to a colleague, Smolcic. I talked to him about lucid dreaming. He responded and continued to laugh, as if he was high.
We were walking the route from the trams towards home, as we used to before I moved house.
    6. 04.12.2013 Cottage in the forest

      by , 12-28-2013 at 10:28 PM
I was lifting the window covers. I was pulling at the rope, but just as the covers would pull up half way, they would start slipping. I continued pulling but it was as they were slipping from the rope. As they slipped, I heard a sound similar to papers rubbing together.

Then my dad was telling me about a house (looked like a cottage) he wanted to buy. I remember seeing the little brown cottage in the woods, surrounded by tall trees and fallen leaves. I saw it from canopy height.
My dad said that they (my parents) are putting off buying it because the boiler prices are too high. Apparently a new boiler for the cottage would cost 3000$.

      I asked him, worryingly, how much money had they spent of the 40 000$ he got for retirement. He answered, seemingly hesitant;
      ‘’Just over 20 000$’’.
