    1. Memories of Copper Hills High

      by , 10-08-2011 at 04:41 PM
      Lucid, Non-Lucid
      Wake time: 5:15 - 5:25 am, 10/8/11
      Technique: WBTB / FILD
      Recall: 8.5/10

I am sitting in my old math class. I can't remember how I found out, but at some point I discover I am dreaming. I start talking to Tito, (an old classmate of mine) and my old math teacher. The dream gets a little vague until we find out a mouse that is running around. We are all having fun trying to catch it, but it always gets away. My math teacher suddenly sics her cat on it. I think this is hilarious because it is just like the classic "cat and mouse chase". (I have no idea if the teacher has a cat IRL)

My real life body starts to get uncomfortable so I adjust it. When I reenter the dream, I find myself on the bottom floor, next to a staircase. The dream starts to fade so I do some stabilization techniques. When I finish I am back on the top floor, outside my math classroom. I walk down the hall, trying to decide what teacher to visit. Ms. Tuzel, a science teacher from middle school, comes to mind. Suddenly Ms. Tuzel and what I assume is her class go by in another hallway intersecting mine. I catch up to her, and ask if she remembers me. She pauses for a second, then says, "how could I forget you? You were in the very first class I taught!" (I don't know if that's actually true, but I always assumed it. She's a young teacher)

This ends all I can remember from the school section of my dream, and for the rest of my dream I'm not sure I am lucid or not. I'm going to write it as non-lucid though, since I know for a fact that lucidity wasn't on my mind.

So anyway, the next thing I remember from this dream is that I am in some sort of MMORPG (Mass Multiplayer Online Roll-Playing Game) A bunch of my friends (I don't have a clue who these friends were) and I are going along, fighting a bunch of monsters and the occasional boss. During one boss fight, I remember, the game had horrible, horrible collision detection. We beat it anyway though.

After a while I come across another boss, and all my focus gets turned to it, and my friends disappear (I don't really miss them, though ) This boss is very strange. Let's see if I can describe it.

Upon a castle wall, there is a huge, thick cardboard cut-out of a giant snake. Despite it being made of cardboard, it can move (in place) and talk, and even though it's plastered onto a wall, it's very dangerous; (though I have no idea how that works...) although occasionally its head and about 3/4 of its body will become unstuck to the wall and lunge at me. (This scares the crap out of me every time)

I spend a good, long while whacking at it with my sword. I'm really expecting it to die any time, as I keep putting more and more damage to it. I put so much damage to it I actually know it's supposed to die, since I remember beating a weaker version of it in the previous level. I eventually hold it against the wall and actually tear a piece of cardboard off. It cries out in pain and transforms into a lady about in her late twenties. The piece of cardboard I tore off is now a piece of skin with red hair on it.

The lady, clutching the top of her head, says to me in an irritated voice that I'm not supposed to do that because it's against the rules. I sash back and say that she was supposed to have lost a long time ago. She admits that she was prolonging the fight, and I ask her why. She pauses for a moment, then says in an embarrassed tone that she gets paid by the hour. I facepalm upon hearing this. (What she means is, she only gets paid while she is fighting someone, and hardly anyone comes around anymore, so she cheats and makes the fights longer on purpose so she can get more money) For the rest of what I can remember from the dream, the lady and I are sitting down, talking about life.Even though half of this dream wasn't lucid (to my knowledge), I still though it to be very enjoyable. Just very strange, now that I look back on it 0_o

    2. Corn Dogs

      by , 10-06-2011 at 03:35 PM
      Non-Lucid
      Wake time: 5:17 am, 10/6/11
      Recall: 8/10

I am in some sort of video game; the object being to collect the most magic stones (or whatever they were) before my opponents. I begin to panic as I try to keep up to have the most.

Somehow, in a way that isn't clear to me, I end up alone in Vickie's (my little sister's) room. I see that there is a microwave on the floor, and cheesecake and corn dogs on the top shelf of her closet. I reach up and grab two corn dogs, but before I can get them in the microwave Vickie and an attractive friend of hers with an English accent came in through the door.

I quickly hide the corn dogs in the mess of clothing and stuff Vickie has on the floor, and try to make small talk, in the hopes that they leave soon. However, it develops into an interesting conversation about Vickie's friend. (At one point, her friend becomes a bit irritated at me, though I'm not sure why. I think it was because I was trying to mimic her accent ...) Eventually they find out I was trying to snitch corn dogs and I know I'm in trouble.

The next thing I know is that I'm in the family room. I go into the kitchen, which now has a big mirror on the counter facing the family room. I walk up to it, so close that I can only see my face. (which has terrible acne on it) I'm disgusted by it, and as I slowly walk away, I see the same amount of acne all over my body. (I'm wearing a shirt, but the reflection shows me shirtless)

At that point I notice Shayla (my older brother's wife) nearby. I am utterly embarrassed and ask her if she saw the reflection. She doesn't answer, so I keep asking her, becoming more and more angry. I walk into the living room and see Jacob (said brother) sitting on the piano bench, telling me to calm down.

I now feel that it is hopeless, so I tell everyone to just forget it, and I head upstairs. I don't get too far though, before Robert (my oldest brother), who is studying his scriptures in the family room, says that he would like to have a word with me. I become grieved because I know that he is going to lecture me on my attitude. Still, I go ahead and sit down with him.

He turns to a passage in the scriptures and begins reading to me, putting extreme emphasis on pretty much every other word. He says this helps him better understand what he is reading. In the middle of this I suddenly come up with a way to more easily remember my dreams. (Although looking at the idea now, it doesn't seem too likely that it will work...) Right after that, I wake up.

    3. The Furious Five!

      by , 10-06-2011 at 03:16 PM
      Wake time: 3:28 am, 10/6/11
Lucid in a non-lucid, subconscious controlled
Technique: WTBT / WILD / FILD
      Recall: 6/10

Trevor (my little brother) and I are going to sleep, after waking up in the middle of the night with no success on having a lucid dream that we remember. (This is what had just happened to me IRL [in real life] except Trevor didn't wake up with me) Trevor says Henry wants us to make the dream a fighting match, and Trevor wants to fight in an arena that is basically a big S. (or E, I can't remember) We both fall asleep and begin dreaming the same dream, and begin to fight.

A few moments after the fight starts, we both turn into characters of the furious five. (from the movie Kung Fu Panda) Upon doing this the rest of the furious five come join in and it becomes a fun little spar. This lasts about five minutes before I wake up IRL.

I appear in line at the DMV. I already know I am dreaming. Realizing that none of the people in line are real, I skip ahead in the line and stop at this old lady. She explains to me that she is the person to talk to if I am having a lucid dream, and to find her whenever I have one. I reply, saying something like, "yeah right", and phase through the wall, going outside to do something else.
While trying to decide what to do, I cross the street. At this point I begin focusing on my physical body lying in bed more than the actual dream, causing me to wake up.

    5. FIRST lucid dream: Potential

      by , 10-05-2011 at 03:39 PM
I am at some sort of LD institute. I read some signs on the wall, talking about reality checks. I try sticking my finger through my hand, and it works. (After this point the dream gets a little hazy)
I don't try anything out of the ordinary, because I don't want to risk waking up. Over the next 5-10 minutes or so, I am walking through many different rooms and buildings. Then I wake up. (to my alarm clock)
