    Flying Platform

I can't be as detailed as I would like but heres a brief summary.

At WBTB I awoke from a dream were I was in some brothel/hotel. I spent some time showering and feeling guilty for whatever I had done. I get out and walk into my room. I apparently have a room mate and he is LOUDLY having sex with a whore. I advert my eyes and go to the other side of the room and sit on my own bed. He yells out "Sorry Mike." I reply weakly, "That's Ok." Then he yells, "Im going to cum. Here I go. Oh yeah do the shotgun. I like the shotgun."

I try to ignore all this and try to call my wife. I have no idea why I am here and really want to talk to her. I have phone issues and wake up.

I wake up feeling wide awake and I have some tea then lay dow for MILD. I feel wakeful and it take some time.

I am in my living room with some flying platform toy that I bought for the kids. I think it must be an Iron Man toy. I get on it and am able to fly around. I feel like Tony Stark. My wife thinks it's silly and wants me to come back to bed. I tell her but this is so cool. I am flying like in a dream...

Something happens here. I think I am briefly lucid but my memory is too foggy to record anything coherent.

I have a FA and here keyboard typing. I realize I have been typing my dream out in real time. I am shock and amazed by this. My wife says something and I try to get her to understand how awesome this is. I scroll through and see I have long dream that read like short stories complete with HTML coding and illustrated pictures. The the browser screws up and keeps going to other websites based on my dream entries.

Suddenly I am in the alley in some truck with my wife. We see the crazy neighbor lady in our back yard and my wife freaks out. She is messing with something on the ground and I realize is the parachute from a daytime rocket. I don't mind it. My wife says something hateful to her and she comes over to talk to us.

I go back to my DJ on my laptop and I remember back before the FA that I was in fact breifly lucid and was flying without the toy. I say something to my wife that I was lucid when I typed my dream journal. I am even more amazed. Then I begin to realize that I am still dreaming but I wake up right away sad that those DJ entries were not real after all.

I have no idea if I was really lucid. I think probably not.

False memories are such a mystery to me, because the moment you experience them you are so certain they are real. You may even have a vision or flashback from a previous dream...very puzzling!

Very very close, for sure. Just dreaming about your dream journal's usually a good sign, plus the two (?) micro-lucids. I had a micro-lucid last night and I was darn glad to have it in the middle of at the end of this dry spell.

L-Glutamate w/ menthol, caffeine, and mucuna pruriens... hmm! What are you up to?

And sorry, man, but I had to laugh that Dream Brain thought it was a great time to call your wife while your roommate is wailing about "the shotgun" and his other immediate plans.

This seems to happen a lot in my dreams. Not sure what's going on but I'm going to keep an eye on it.

Just experimenting. I really don't know but it seemed to have some bigger effect than normal. LOL. I meant L-Glutamine not "mate". Anyway, I started the Paleo Diet and I actually bought it to help me transition to a lower carb diet. Then, I remembered its part of the amino acid blend so I just took it for the hell of it at WBTB with my caffeine combo. I'm thinking about doing it again with a much higher dose than 400mg. I haven't bought L-aspartic acid yet but I'm really intrigued now.

I know craziness. I just wish I knew what the shotgun was. LOL. I'm really glad I didn't look though. Funny how the sexual content was before menthol and not after.

I'm glad you broke your dry spell!

EDIT: BTW what gave you the idea for L-Dopa with menthol?

Interesting. IIRC, Yuschak indicated that galantamine + the amino acid blend was too much. Is that right? But he never mentioned anything about other combos. I really hope that you make progress on the amino acid blend because I went nowhere with it, man! I need to rotate it back in every couple weeks or so and start seeing if I can come up with some way to make it work for me.

Thanks, I'm glad about breaking the dry spell too. As for combining L-dopa with menthol, I was trying to hit a sweet spot of getting the D2 activation of menthol, plus slightly elevated levels of dopamine and norepinephrine to hopefully add lots of confidence and a sense of adventurousness to the dream. I was curious what the combination of menthol's (we believe) indirect activation of D2 and the more direct effect of higher dopamine levels in the brain would be. I did want to use very reasonable doses, though, since we're working with the double hit of mucuna pruriens raising catecholamine levels directly AND menthol indirectly firing up D2.

Interesting... I'm not sure about glantamine + amino acid but I think you're right. But he also concluded caffeine wasn't a good trigger.

I double-checked the sources. Some interesting stuff, actually! He did try galantamine + amino acid blend, and it resulted in lucidity. But sleep was unstable and the LDs were very short.

He also had terrible results with huperzine. He used 200 mcg and didn't get lucid at all. I wonder if the dose was simply too low. Combining G and huperzine yielded terrible results, too. (Not sure I'd try that, yeesh!)

This paper also gave me some thoughts on why menthol and G may be such an effective combination... I'll have to think on this more! You use menthol on G night decently often, right?
