First workbook, yay! |

Hey, I'm Ryan, 16, and have been doing this for a month or so. My experiences so far haven't been too bad, still no lucidity, but my overall dream recall has been improving. I remembered, the other night, 2 dreams. That's never happened to me, so it's getting better! |

Welcome, realdealmagic! |

I'm going to try out a WBTB MILD tonight I think, that method seems to be calling my name. I will go to sleep very soon, while keeping the mantra "This is a dream," in my head. I will then wake up in 5 hours, stand up, walk around a bit, probably come onto the IRC for a little bit, then go back to sleep, keeping the mantra in my head again. Hopefully that'll work... |
Okay, got absolutely no progress last night, just as I didn't the night before. No recall or anything. Frustrated |
Keep at it, you will see that you remember dreams more frequently up to the point where you are remembering at least a dream a night. |
Hukif's Gravity RC seems like the best method to me, accounting for pretty much LD nightly, but the only thing is that I haven't had an LD yet, so I don't actually know the difference between gravity IWL and in a dream. I'm going to work myself to an LD with MILD and then when I manage to achieve a stable one, I'll focus on how it feels to be standing, walking, running etc. How my weight feels against the ground. |
I don't think you need to acctually experience how RC feels in LD to practice it during day in waking life and to get you lucid. Pretty much every RC will feel differently and yet they do help people get lucid. (No one ever experienced true feeling of his finger going through palm, or how it feels to be able to breathe while nose is pinched shut.) |
As gab said, you don't really need to experience it in a dream first. More than that, for me gravity will vary from dream to dream and my weight will feel different in each, so I would say that just trying out something that feels different is good enough. |
So I haven't been keeping up with this at all. Sorry. |
Don't get discouraged. Keep writing your dreams. I know it sounds too simple to get you lucid dreaming, but believe me, it works. |
Yeah don't get discouraged! Sometimes a break is good anyway, so just think of it as a good rest-of-dreams experience and take it on again! |
