Hi people, my name is Rubens and I'm 19

I'm new here and Arch suggested me to come here :)

Well, about my experience:

I'm studying about Lucid Dreaming for 2 months. In the first night i had one really short LD, I lost lucidity in this one within about 10 secods, so I couldn't actually experience how great can Lucid Dreams be :/

I started my Dream Journal 3 days ago and already have 9 entries :)
I think my recall hability isn't bad (but we can always get better), everynight I remember clearly at least one or two dreams, and at least one or two that aren't very clear.

I do RCs all during the day when anything strange happens.

I ask mysel: "Am I dreaming?",
Then I say to myself: "Everything seems normal, but it's not enough to deduce anything."
I try to remember what I did in the last hour, even if I remember I continue by looking at my hands and seing if anything isn't normal with my body and clothes, I look for everything to read and read it twice and finally look at the clock in my cellphone twice.

Since this morning I'm trying to improve my awareness of the things arround me, this is something I'm not very good in, I usually just walk trough the streets or in the bus and don't pay atention to the things, but I decided changing this since today :)

My short term objectives are:
-Having my second Lucid Dream
-Fly around
-Talking to a woman that almost always appears in my dreams and ask her name.
-Compose one song or at least one chord progression during the dream and recall it when I wake up
-Say my physical localization to myself during the dream

My long term objectives are:
-Have at least one LD per night (Hard, but not impossible ;D)
-Use my lucid dreaming to compose songs :)

I usually wake up during the night to write in my dream journal, it usually takes about 40 min to recall and write all my dreams, so I'm thinking in doing a MILD when I finish to write.

I will write everything that I consider important here about my future experiences :)


So, what is next ? Do I have to do anything else ? Thanks people ;D

Well, I'm here to say that passed another night of almost 2 months trying to have another LD, and I GOT IT !!! I'm so happy xD It happened some minutes ago xD

- Today I'm starting a Dream Journal here in the forum, I have one physical DJ already and I recall too many dreams, so I'll write here only my Lucid Dreams.
- I'm updating my completed objectives and the new ones to occupy the space :D (Having my Second LD and Flying : Completed, New Objectives: Compose a new song and Saying my real location to myself during the dream.

About this LD, It started from a NonLucid Dream. Basically, I was talking to my sister and told her that she was dreaming, after saying to her that that was a dream, I became lucid *-*
I'll put all the details in my DJ here

Lets recap:
1. DJ - you have one - that's great, keep writing in it
2. Recall - also sounds great
3. Awareness - you practicing, keep at it. Make sure you put some emotions in awareness and RC practice.
4. RCs - you practice that, great.
5. Plan of what to do in LD - got it, that's great

Your recall sounds good, as gab said and your motivation sounds great, keep it up.
I've got some tasks for you
- keep writing in that DJ, if you wake up during the night you can update it there and then
- keep working on that awareness technique, if it doesnt work see if any other techniques out there catch your eye
- try learning to wake up naturally during the night, this both helps with recall and allows WBTB MILDs which are very effective
- write your progressions here :D

I usually wake up naturally in the night, that's when I update the DJ :) After updating it I try to perform a MILD. But I don't really get out of the bed, is there any problem about this ?

I decided to create a document in my computer where I'll list everything that happened in the dreams I've recalled and wrote in my DJ...
-People I saw
-Locations I've been
-Objects I used or saw
-Feelings I felt
-Strange things about my body
And some others...

This way I can see what kind of things appears most in my dreams, for example:
-I have a sister that doesn't live in the same house of mine, she appeared 5 times in the 14 dreams I have in my DJ
-I was in the city I used to live in 6 dreams of that same 14
-I used my cellphone in 2 of them (I will start to pay more atention in the objects around me in my real life, to do the same in the dreams)
-For 6 times I was in a dream that was like a computer game or in something about music (That are the 2 things I most like to do)

Well, about last night:
I was too tired this night, and I think it affected my capacity of recalling dreams or even having a LD.
I woke up during the night but felt asleep again and didn't write everything I remembered about the dreams I already had.
I recalled only little fragments of about 5 dreams this night, tried and couldn't remember much more.

I had an experience that I found crazy xD:
I dreamed that the "Beautiful girl with short black hair" that often appears in my dreams was dead :'( I was very sad in the dream and carrying her body in my arms.
She suddenly woke up screaming :O It scared me a lot in the dream and I screamed too xD (I think I woke up screaming btw)

"In the morning" I was talking to my brother, I asked him if I really screamed last night, he said I did, I laughed a little and told him about the dream I had, I just jumped out from my bed, and at this time, I really woke up :O

My brother wasn't here in the bedroom. It was just a dream (or maybe a False Awakening) and another time I haven't make a RC while waking up.

So I decided to pay more atention in doing RCs when waking up :D

Yup yup, doing a RC when you wake up helps greatly. Wow you are doing great, keep at it!
Is the girl meaningful for you? Maybe you can go back and save/talk with her in another lucid.
Composing songs, thats quite ambitious and sounds very awesome! I have never done something like that, though I can remember stuff I read in dream books or stuff I write, in fact just today I had some kind of writting fight with a kid, it was very fun.
Really want to see some of those song-dreams, good luck!

About the girl, I saw her for the first time in my first LD, I never noticed her before it.

This first LD I said was:
I woke during the night (maybe after a dream, didn't recall it) and was feeling SP, It was in the first time I started reading about LDing, I didn't knew much about techniques or anything, but I remembered to stay calm and imagine a scenario and imagine me inside it, all I could imagine was and scenario with a orange backround oO, I don't know how I couldn't imagine more than that.

In few seconds I was just like I imagined. I decided to leave my body to look at my face (I remembered that LaBerge cited that our faces are almost always weird in LDs and wanted to confirm xD).
I did just like I wanted and looked at my face, but I was without my pupils, and that scaried me a lot, the fear almost made me lose lucidity, but didn't. I got inside my body again, and when I did my sister and my brother appeared in front of me, my sister was without the pupils too and that scaried me a lot again, with my fingers I pointed to her eyes and made the pupils to appear again, 2 seconds later they were already gone again, I started to become angry and scaried and that made me lose lucidity, at this time my brother started to laugh at me (he does that in real life too xD) and I started to fly around in the scenario like crazy, this were when that girl appeared and started to push me from that place. I felt deeply that she was doing that for my good(can't explain how or why). I woke up after that.

In this last dream I had with her, I was in a rubber boat in the ocean and found her body floating in the water, I knew somehow that she was already dead, I took her body and put inside by boat and brought it to the land. That's when she woke up screaming and made me scream too xD

I don't know her in my real life, since I started paying attention in my dreams, she is the only DC that appeared more than one time.
My main short term objective now is talking to her, I want to know her name and maybe make a experiment of asking her to remind me that I'm dreaming everytime I see her and see if it works (a DC that reminds that I'm dreaming would be the best DreamSign :D).

About the songs, I have already one song I remember from a dream :) It's not complete but I found it very good, a friend of mine say it's the song i've composed that he most like :D
The dream that I had when I composed it was not lucid, it was about 2 years ago, but I can remember it very clear as if I had it last night :)
I was just wondering that maybe I'll get great music creating them when my creative and emotive part of brain is fully active (I already think I'm the creative/emotive guy, but during the REM it would be at full speed ;D

Daily update:

This night I decided to try some WILDs with no success :/
All of them I woke up after dreams but everytime I give much attention to turn off the alarm or doing anything else I take much time to sleep again and can't have success with WILD :/
Because of that I slept too few this night and had to sleep till almost 11:00 AM xD

I decided to give up on WILD for a while and start trying DEILDS, I will download an APP that I saw around here that is about one alarm that sounds only one time and stop, this way I will be able to stay completely still and fall asleep again soon :)

I continue praticing the ADA (i'm still not very good in that), but I'm doing a lot of RCs, almost everytime I remember about that and everytime something strange happens or when I see anything that reminds me of a dreamsign or dream situation.

Well, about the dreams:
I recalled clearly 3 dreams this night and one not very clear and wrote them down in my DJ.

I had especially one that took my attention:
"I'm playing my guitar in a house I don't know, I was trying to learn one song from Patrick Stump in the dream (I never tried to learn it when awake)."
I recalled the chords I was doing in the dreams and - for my surprise - they were correct when I woke up :O
I found it very crazy but very cool anyway xD, when I become having LDs more often I will pratice inside them for my tests xD.

lol that screaming part with the girl made me laugh so hard.
Hm, so how long did you stay up for the WILDs? Generally if I want to try one stay up for like 10 seconds or else won't be able to fall asleep quickly... which is why I don't WBTB. Sounds like you have a similar problem.
That app sounds good, remember to check for your DEILDs if opening eyes or moving is more important, maybe both or maybe none.
Thats cool, I do use dreams to study for tests. Go get those tests and make them fun lol

xD It made me laugh too after I wake up

I think I stayed for more than 10 minutes, If I woke up again I will try to go back sooner to in don't happen again..
I won't be able to download the app, it's only for IPhone, tecnology is too expensive in my country and I'm not rich enough to buy an IPhone yet :x

This night I had a another LD :D. I woke up about 6:00 am and tried to make a SSILD, I slept 3 times trying to complete at least 4 cycles, but got it xD
About 9:00 am I had a false awakening (I was lucid but didn't realize it was a FA), in the FA I tried a WILD with succes :D.


I'm very happy cause I'm seing the results already *-*

I just didn't like that I wasn't able to last very much in this LD, but I know that it's all about time :D

Boo I know that feeling of it being expensive, oh well getting it done the hard way gives that nice feeling at the end of the day.
lol cool, FA WILD, do you RC when waking up?
Yup yup, eventually stabilization will become natural, then it will be easier to say in the dream. "stalks DJ"

I'm doing RC all the time xD, but in that FA I didn't because I could "wake up" without moving, then I preffered trying a WILD (it worked xD).
I believe it will become easier soon :) I don't let this "failures" bring me down, I got already 2 LDs in less than a week and it feels great :D

Last night I got another FA and tried to perform another WILD like yesterday, but I couldn't "go to the dream", I gave up and slept, when I slept in the FA I woke up for real.
I'm feeling that the thing is becoming easier xD Feel i'm gonna have another LD this night, tomorrow I tell you ;D

You are doing great! Even if you don't RC everytime in a dream, you have a good success rate, so keep up your practice. Oh yeah, happy 1 week anniversary and cool sig:)

Hi peeps :D

A long time I don't come around here, I'm visiting my family in the city I used to live.
For some days I stopped writing in my DJ, it was awful and I started to lose my recall...

Yesterday I took it and put beneath my pillow and voilá ! My 4th LD :)
It was a DILD, I used WBTB with SSILD and MILD again, this is the 3rd time that it works for me (Worked everytime I tried with wish and conviction).
It's in my last DJ entry if you want to see :) It was very short, I had 2 FA's that I couldn't realize I was dreaming but it's great anyway.
5th LD, here I go ! :D
