      xSpectrum's Workbook

I'm a 16 year old male. I've been trying to LD for about 2 years off and on. Up untill about a week ago I have been trying to WILD for my LDs, but decided to try my luck with DILD because I was getting NOWHERE with WILD. I have never had a lucid dream, mainly because I have been trying to WILD, which is a more advanced way to lucid dream.

Anyways, I started a dream journal. I can usually remember at least one dream/night, usually two. However, sometimes I can't remember anything about my dreams. I have noticed that I tend to remember more dreams (or any at all) if I wake up naturally. If I wake up "rushed", so to speak (ie if my alarm wakes me up and I'm running late), I tend not to remember any dreams at all.

I have two recurring dream signs: school and drugs (sometimes together ). Despite my ability to recall most my dreams and to dream about one of my dream signs nearly every night, I still haven't had any luck.

      Night one:

Can't remember a single thing about my dreams. This plays into my hypothesis that my dream recall is a lot worse when I am forcefully woken up because I was running late this morning and had to rush to get up. Hoping for better results tonight.

      Welcome xspectrum!

Yes, DILD in general is easier to start with. You can still try WILDing at WBTB and have DILD as plan B, if WILD is not successful. But dream recall should be the first priority. Try and write in your DJ, even if all you remember is a few words or feelings. And affirmation - "My memory is good and my recall is getting better every day". And if you don't have time in the morning to think about your dreams for a few minutes, there is a good chance, that you'll forget them.

Here is a tutorial with everything you need to practice DILD/MILD. So good luck, post your progress and questions. Happy dreams

Remembered my dream in pretty vivid detail. I won't bore you with the details of the dream, but I didn't become lucid. Neither of my dream signs were in the dream I remember.

I remember a fragment of my dream. All I can remember from my dream is that it included drugs (which is one of my dream signs), but I didn't become lucid, even though I remember thinking in my dream "Why can't I remember anything from 5 minutes ago? Could I be dreaming?". The thought was dismissed as soon as I thought it, though. I don't remember anything after that point, though. So I suppose I may have become lucid and not remembered, or I may have just woken up.

Sounds like you are very close. Try to add more daytime awareness training, either from a link I posted above, or this SAT or ADA techniques. This should give the extra push you need to realize you dreaming.

And keep working on your DJ. Good luck and Happy dreams

      Night 4:
Don't remember anything from my dreams. Again, I was in somewhat of a rush to get up. However, I think I may have forgotten my dreams because I was stressed the night before and had a lot on my mind. Whatever combination of things, I don't remember the slightest detail about my dream/dreams.

      Night 5:
Able to recall 3 separate dreams from the night. Unfortunately, no lucids. None of my dream signs either. I've been doing reality checks throughout the day when something strange or out of the ordinary happens, but this hasn't bled over into my dreams, yet.

Stress can have a bad influence on recall, and recall can also fluctuate. As long as it comes back, you should be ok.
Are you practicing anything else besides the RCs?

I've been trying to get into ADA, but I always forget after a few hours.

Sporadic awareness technique may be little easier than ADA. Also here is a great explanation of awareness. Good luck
