      Deeps workbook

Hey my name is Sukhdeep Deep for short. I'm 16 years old living in Canada.
I've been interested in lucid dreaming for awhile but never knew what I would expect. I never knew what the outcome would be. I wanted to lucid dream so i started to do reality checks but not so many during the day. I would also have a dream journal on my iPhone. My recall for dreams started out with only a few sentances to 2 or more paragraphs. My recall was pretty high but I would almost never do reality checks and if I did it would jus be like am I dreaming flick on a light or look in the mirror and that's all. So eventually I stopped doing a dream journal as well because I Just forgot to write in my journal didn't do reality checks and didn't see any results. So I lucid dreamed for the first time 3-4 days ago. I was sleep dirpvided like crazy and it just happened. The way I realized I was lucid dreaming was kinda strange to me. It didn't happen ause of any reality checks. I just kinda looked at my cousin and said what the hell I'm dreaming. Now this dream had to be rhyme biggest mind bang in my life. I walked outside the home I was in and noticed a helicopter. Now this wasn't nothing that big but I was surprised that I was dreaming. Then I started fly as I high as I could go. Into space into a new galaxy.

Now this is why I want to have more lucid dreams. I was looking at my palms thinking to myself I can't believe this is happening. When I looked up I saw 2 suns and I was looking at couple of plants and an asteroid belt around one of the planets. I was so shocked looking ate this I woke my self up sweating breathing heavily as ever did. Right when I woke up I was instantly awake like I slept for 24 hours and felt completely energized. I slept around 4:35 and woke up 10 ISh. I was pretty happy I lucid dreamed so for about half an hour I researched about lucid dreaming and then noticed the time. I realized I could sleep for like 5 more hours more and the lazy side of me kicked in and I passed out again. I lucid dreamed again and the thing with this was instead of "spawning" I guess in some random place I woke up in basement and realized I was dreaming I realized I was dreaming cause when I looked outside on In January Canada had no snow for some reason and I was like damn I'm dreaming. But the thing with this is I would walk around and I would basically go back to my basement. I was walking round the rode looking around wondering what the hell and in a flash io was back In my basement looking to thee ceiling. And then I kinda flashed in and out. It would go black and then I would be looking at my basement ceiling again.

I usually sleep anywhere from 11p.m-2A.m and get 5-8 hours of sleep.

I have blazed pot and I did a lot but I read online that it destroys the length of REM sleep sp I stopped for a bit. I also read that building testosterone and not "beating the meat" helps with lucid dreaming as well. Is that true?

My plan for now is keeping a journal to increase my recall and doing more reality checks threw out the day. Not just some random RCs but more meaning full reality checks. Like looking around asking myself some questions. I have taken to writing a L with a sharpie on my palm so I can remember to do reality checks. Well That's all I have to say. If there is anyway that can increase my chances to lucid dream let me know

      Welcome to the DILD class!

Congrats on your 2 lucids. I must say I envy you. Your first LD sounds incredible. I have been to space, but only briefly and I usually woke myself up from happiness.

You say that RCs had nothing to do with you getting lucid. Well, I beg to differ. I'm pretty sure, that your previous practice had a lot to do with it.

And you are right to wanting to get back to journaling. DJing is very important. And RC, you are right again, that they need to be meaningfull.

Here is an article about importance of DJ, dream reacall, about RCs and awareness and mantras. Please read it and come back with any questions you have.

Keep that "I can't believe I'm dreaming" feeling when doing RCs and awareness questions. Happy dreams

Hey Gab thanks for welcoming me I just have a few questions for you :p

It about 5A.M right now and I woke up automatically but I had an alarm for 5:30. So I'm happy that I didn't have to use an alarm and maybe just by accident wake some one else up. I'm trying to WILD by the way I just read that this is one of the best methods since I'm lucid from the start

Now when I woke up right now I felt like my current purpose in life was to LD. Now I read I should stay awake anywhere from 20-60 minutes. So I'm awake now just chillin. At first I was like I should jam out to some Dr.Dre with my headphones but after a song I felt my body trying to sleep so I woke up and tried to concentrate y brain so I started to just google about lucid dreams people's experiance etc etc. now as I was googling since I have a shitty shitty shitty wifi there's literally one spot on my bed where my wifi works so I angled my self Weird and let my hands rest on my face and as I was googling I could FEEL my right hand and leg just going numb. Now at first I was like. "Holly crap!" And started to do some research on sleep paralis. Now Gab your obviously experienced I was wondering does sleep paralis actually get as scary as people at? I don't mind that after my first LD I just have this feeling of happiness everytime I sleep thinking What if I LD tonight?!?! I'm ready to try and wild but can sleep paralis really brin in hallucinations of like monsters and stuff? Like can't I think of atuff like spongebob and bring him in?

Also for my dream journal my mom useually wakes up early as shit sometimes ad I wake up around 11 or 12. I've seen that my when she wakes me up I barely Remwmbwr my dream because I just had a conversation with her yellin 5MINUTES :p
So should I put an alarm for 10 or 10:30 to right in my dream journal or is that wasting my sleep time?

Im pretty happen for what happened with my attempt of WILDing. At first I stayed still for about 60 minutes and then im pretty sure either A i hit sleep paralis or B i was in dream space. Before i closed my eyes an hour ago i remember exactly how my blanket was places I have 2 one to keep my warm and a giant fluffy thing i put around my head so i cant see around my bed just the ceiling. So as im sitting there i realized that ive never hit sleep paralis and wont know how it will feel so instead of counting inhale 1 exhale im dreaiming i just let my mind drift away thinking of random and bizare things. I dont know if this was sleep paralis but i felt like i was on a life boat just chilling and letting the waves rock my body. Some light happened but not Crazy bright. When i payed attention to the light it just disappeared. Ive tried to go into sleep paralis before but it would get so warm sometimes i just couldnt bear it but when i started to get warmer tonight i then decided to concentrate on my breathing and the inhale exhale im breathing. Mantra i think. As i did that i forgot count and my brain started to drift. I basically zoned out for a bit and remember a voice. It was my cousin Gordan. atfirst i thought it was a dream because i kinda saw myself in third person. Then i realized im still in bed and i the image of me and him went away but his voice didnt. What kinda freaked me out was i felt like someone was pushing me and telling me wake up man we gotta get outta here! I admit i got freaked and woke myself up. But maybe a milisecond before my eyes opened i remembered im still in bed but it was to late. i woke myself up and was so happy tho. Even tho i was scared i felt like If that is sleep paralis i just experianced it and i know what to expect next time so then im like shit i just woke myself up. I then remembered that i read somewhere that men should sleep on there right side something to do with the flow of energy. I said what the hell and tried to get into sleep paralis again. But i was really tired then and fell asleep really quickly. But then i remember waking up. I woke up and noticed my phone wasnt there and the blanket i have on the side wasnt there. I walked out of my room and no one was there i did a reality check and said damn im dreaming. I got so happy so i walked outside and my friend lives across the street from me and i wanted to see if hes in there in my dreams. So instead of walking there my body kinda Leaped and just jumped onto his neighbors roof and i could see his window. I kept trying to get into his window but every time i would reach the window it would reset. I would wake up in my bed again. I maybe tried 3 times to get into his window. I dont know why i coudnlt do it. i thought to myself maybe my body isnt that lucid or is about to wake up so as i would get out of bed i would rub my hands as hard as i could. But still to no avale. I woke up around 10 oclock thinking Yes i lucid dreamed again!! but then was like What if im dreaming again?? So i pooked my cheeck and didnt feel anything then i ripped skin from my lip thinking obvously this wont hurt...Ive never felt so much pain xD I was about to write into my dream journal but really what would i write? I jumped on the roof didnt work. Jumped again still couldnt get in. So i said what ever.

I felt like i had no control. To me it feels like lucid dreaming is more about the control and the feel of the dream. Like as i rubbed my hands hard as hell i couldnt feel them. I knew i was dreaming but i had no idea why i couldnt feel my hands. Is there a way for me to have more "Control" over my dreams? and also how frequently do you have lucid dreams? Once a night? once a week? Weekends??

, I understand your enthusiasm for WILD. It is a wonderful technique, and the attempts can be as much fun as lucids thmemselves.

SP is paralysis, when you can't move at all. We all have it after we start to dream, so we don't act out our dreams and get hurt. Sometimes, some people can feel this before they should, when it kicks in before dream, or when you wake up and SP fails to end, for a few seconds you can be in SP. I have had it only twice in my whole life, but never when I was WILDing. You are quite unlikely to get SP when WILDing.

Now, the sensations you can have when WILDing are not SP. The tingling and anything else you may feel, hear or see are hallucinations.

Yes, if you are scared, you may have a scary experience. But if you keep thinking about spongebob, then you may have a hallucination about him. But you also may not have any hallucination.

I can recommend a WILD by sageous tutorial, that is part of his WILD class, also here in DV Academy. Read it and if you have WILD questions, he will be happy to answer and guide on your quest, just make a workbook in his class.

I would be happy to talk to you about WILD, but he really is the expert and his tutorial is the best thing you can read about WILDing.

While you do that, you can also practice for DILDs Collection of techniques for DILD ( I forgat to link you this one in my previous post, sorry). And after reading sageouse's tutorial, you will see, that many of what he teaches is also valid for DILDs and other methods.

So if you feel like doing DILD also, just post your progress and questions here, I'll be happy to answer. happy dreams
