Hi, I'm KnightTime. I want to get into LDing. I saw a post on iFunny (iPhone app) about Lucid Dreaming and was interested, so I looked up Lucid Dream forum on Google (I am familiar with forums, and I think they are very helpful). I found DreamViews.com and became immediately excited and involved in Lucid Dreaming. I am currently going to school, which ends May 24th, so I will have a lot more time for LDing then. I have to wake up at 5:50 every morning to get ready for school, so I have very limited time to LD. I was contemplating whether or not to wait to start until school was over, but I decided to at least get some help for preparation.
I chose MILD (I saw in a previous post that MILDs are posted here as well as DILDs) because it seemed the most convenient for me, since you can do it right when you go to bed, or so I heard. I will start a Dream Journal tonight, and put it by my bed. Ever since Sunday (when I got into LDing) I have had 3 straight regular dreams that I actually experienced, which, believe it or not, is probably a record for me! I haven't actively pursued a LD, except for last night. I tried using a mantra, but I played basketball a few hours previously so I think I was too tired and eventually just drifted off to sleep without keeping my mind aware.
1. I was wondering what is the best mantra to use for having your first Lucid Dream with a MILD?
2. With a limited amount of time for LDing, do you think MILD would be the best choice or would DILD work better?
3. Do you have any good tips for keeping my mind aware and awake while attempting a MILD?
4. What do you recommend putting in my Dream Journal?
5. Is there any additional info you need?
