      Azoller1's Dild Workbook

Hello my name is Alex Zoller, I'm 15, and really I haven't started to try and lucid up until the beginning of march even through I joined here over 8 months ago, because after reading a little bit more here on DV I really wanted to get into LDing and getting my first on

And what do you know last night or this night I just slept I finally got my first LD! And wow was it amazing, and luckily I didn't get crazy excited so I didn't wake up and I could enjoy the rest of the dream, I was getting flustered because I couldn't get on in about week and I almost gave up, but I kept going and did it pay off. An LD is just something to take your mind of all of the stress going on in your life and go enjoy and do whatever you want to do, and I can't wait till I have my next one, thanks to everyone here about Dild and its tricks, I will keep progress here as I go, also you can see my dream in my journal

Hey, that's awesome! Congrats on your first LD

      And welcome to DILD class

Practice you RCs and awareness question with mantras during day, then a little bit as you sitting on bed ready to sleep and repeat your mantra as falling asleep.

Each time you wake up at night, even if just for a minute (trip to bathroom), put the lights on and wake up your mind by doing math problems in your head. This will help your mind to wake up in a dream too.

Here is an article about my awareness question + RCs + mantras, and dream recall and other stuff.

Ask any questions and post your progress, if you like. Happy dreams

You know, my first DILD was only after about 3 hrs of sleep. So it's possible to LD after short time of sleep. Of course, you have better chance later on, simply because REM gets longer. But don't give up, do your RCs and mantras and set your intent. Good luck

Yeah, it's important to write it down.

You can try this trick. If you re-tell your dream to yourself using words, rather than just replaying it in your mind, it will transfer to your daytime memory and you may be able to recall it even little later. But really, best thing is to write it, or at least some kewords, immediatelly. Have a notebook handy. Sometimes I have a piece of paper in the bathroom and on my nightly visits I jot down time and keywords.

Yeah it does help me if I keep reading it over and later on in the day I'll see or notice something that will kick my memory in about my dream,

OK I'm still doing lots of RCs and mantras throughout the day but keep forgetting to do them in my dream maybe I'll try an afternoon nap later and see if I can become lucid

The thing is, you are not forgetting to do them in your dream. They are simply not getting into them, because perhaps you didn't practice them long enough yet, or maybe you not using enough emotions.

Once that happens, they will show up in your dream automatically without you doing anything about it. But they will get you lucid only if you have enough awarenes. You can get awareness by practicing it during day. One, short way is in the article Collection... as I linked you above.

More detailed explanation of self awareness is here http://www.dreamviews.com/wild/13181...prep-part.html

I've been kind of trying to incorporate this with wild, when I initial fall asleepci thing about lucid thoughts and get a dild but then use wbtb for a wild, but I'm thinking now this isn't possible because im waking during rem and I can't dild when I wake at that time

Waking during REM is good. If this is after some hours of sleep, you gonna continue with REM after just a short while. So you can use that for WBTB and WILD. If WILD doesn't work out, you still have a chance for a DILD, since waking up for a WBTB is good for DILDs too. Good luck.
